Jeremy Campbell and R. Zanzibar return as Out 2 with their debut full length, Showcase. Following their recent Moving EP, the duo expand their mix of New York off-kilter pop lyrical poetics riding over percussive desk-dub funk grooves.

After collaborating on releases for Lectric Sands and L.I.E.S (Zoovox and Locks & DDM) the Brooklyn team dug deep in the studio to create 6 vocals and their dub versions in a true 'showcase' style.

With that, after its appearance in longer 'discomix' form, the album starts with the original version of Moving. Just under 3 minutes of hectic New York funk - chop guitar, punch bass and blasting horn jump ups. Rolling straight to the Version, Campbell's mixing desk skills let it all hang out and back. Snares rattle, hats ride, bass in and out, a voice rightly interjects "...are we moving".

Sliding in to Dancing, the tryptamines start to flow and skip atop a steppas beat. The "raps", dubs and fx weave their way in to your subconscious as electrons whirl in a warm psychedelic fuzz. This is further exemplified in side closer, Pale Fens. The improvised vocals fit seamlessly among the beats, bass and guitar haze. As the skin, lips, eyes, pull you in, the Version takes it deep. Sole guitar solo and the rest rides from the desk. Perry, Bovell, Sherwood. The beauty in the space between is the essence of music itself.

Side 2 starts with a crowning gem, Some Air's Red There. Flute rides a hook that is simplicity in its ingenuity. Zanzibar in his wayward element "...she said I had the wrong rhythm". By now ears twisted to what the Version brings, the laidback vibes, with wind solo, drift to an Upstate/White Isle summer's day that is long remembered.

Don't Stop comes on as a No NYC love paean. Congas, rhythm guitar and impro' lyrical flow, contorting bass, flange, flange, flange. "Run all day, we don't stop". Version just glides and glides. Finally, to close, Run is the lazy finale dub (master)piece. A simple Jammy's style riddim; a midi-funk groove. It swings low alongside lyrical imaginings, encapsulating Out 2's place in the New York firmament, where disco, punk, hip hop were and are very much fellows with the often overlooked, but amazing dub reggae that has been produced in the city for decades.

Over the past couple of years German producer Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets, has established himself as one of the biggest names on the nu-disco scene, clocking up more than 25 million streams of his debut 2016 album 'Panorama Pacifico' on Spotify alone. Earlier this year, Tim compiled 'Diamonds Are Forever', a 7 track mini-album of re-mixed and re-mastered tracks from the early days of his career.

"I had been chatting with some fans on Facebook about the first Satin Jackets productions and we realised that there were quite a few tracks that, for various reasons, were no longer available anywhere" explains Tim. "So I dug through my back catalogue, making a list of some gems from around 7 - 8 years ago, then revisited each track to give them a little nip and tuck and apply the benefit of almost a decade's more experience. Honestly it's been an experience to revisit these tracks and reminisce on the stories around them as they all helped shape Satin Jackets into what it sounds like today."

Four of these tracks get a vinyl release now on Tim's very own imprint.
The A-side opens with the synth-pop anthem 'Hollywood' that helped put the Satin Jackets sound on people's radar back in 2012. It features a rare occurrence of Tim's alter ego Eric Cozier on vocal duty. 'Got To Be Love' is a chilled and laid-back instrumental track that also appeared on the highly successful 'Milchbar' series of fellow German Chill and Balearic producers 'Blank & Jones'.

The B-side starts with 'Olivia' that went into high rotation on US wide satellite radio SiriusXM while 'Latin Jackets' rounds off the picture with one of the earliest Satin Jackets tracks ever which also opened up the live shows around the world on many occasions.

Manchester-based producer, DJ, So Flute Co-Founder and radio host, Yadava debuts on Omena with "Earth Tones".

Just like his previous music released on fine labels such as Ad Hoc Records, Church and Banoffee Pies, Yadava is offering an unique twist on melodic and rhythmic jazz influenced music that highlights his growth as an artist.

Mr Beatnick's Mythstery imprint returns with a two track 12" for the collectors, purpose-built to wreck your discoteque. Side A features a speaker-crushin' Bollywood refix by Breakplus, fresh off the back of his iconic mini-album "Instant Bull". Two soaring love songs from DJ Rogers, 'Love Brought Me Back' backed by 'Love You Forever', remastered and reissued on South Street's new disco reissue arm. With original's trading hands for upwards of £70 it's high time a reissue dropped of these classic cuts.

'Love Brought Me Back' sweeps in first as gentle chimes and whirling winds blend with a delicate bassline and staccato strings that open up to behold Rogers' powerful prowess on the mic. Influenced and honed in the church, there's a spirituality to the delivery that few can match. An honesty and warmth resound in the arrangement with a definite dose of funk making this a sure-fire '70s soul hit that was big on the disco dancefloors.

On the B side the second of Rogers' sweet serenades, 'Love You Forever' marries clavinet chords and plucked live bass riffs with tender female harmonies, providing a perfect accompaniment to Roger's soothing tones. The ultimate end of the set song and a way to win over any hearts and minds that need to be swayed.

DBA's house leaning dubs series returns this time fronted by Kemback and accompanied by DJ Bone remix under his Differ-Ent pseudonym.

Better known as Kemback, Geoff Wright is a Bristol-based producer, selector, violinist, teacher, and sound. His debut release on Bristol mainstay Futureboogie received widespread support from UK tastemakers including Skream, Mosca, and Bonobo. He has also recorded on Alfresco Disco and Omena Records.

Balla et ses Balladins were one of Guinea's national 'orchestras' formed as a result of the newly elected President, Sékou Touré's 'authenticité' policy of the early 1960s, which sought to promote Guinea's cultural identity following independence from France in 1958. Gomori takes the scalpel to two cuts recorded during their years on the state-run Syliphone label, making good use of bandleader Balla's lively trumpet playing. The gently haunting 'Nyo' is taken on a stomping slo-mo chug with a head-nodding bassline and stuttering FX creating a shimmering effect on the tropical guitars, while the rousing horns of 'Wilikabo' are laid over with rasping synth bass for a punchy juxtaposition.
Sterns Edits is an official collaboration between African music stalwarts Sterns Music and London's Ben Gomori.

Dave and Neil have dug out music that may have previously ‘slipped under the radar’ meaning a lot of the tracks included here are being digitised for the very first time.

In searching deeper & wider than the average compilation, the package provides a thorough insight into why this was such a fertile period for production. It gives a nod to the sort of drum patterns, sampling techniques and vocal lines that have inspired the likes of Bicep, Brawther and Huxley amongst many more.

Luv Shack Records' 26th release marks the return of Vienna based artist and label regular LeSale. The Baguette Magique EP packs three punchy original tracks plus a remix by deep disco don and Vienna resident Roman Rauch.

First off, there's the original version of 'Baguette Magique', an uplifting dance opus carried by a tantalising disco sample, a plethora of bleeps and synthetic patterns, evolving into a cosmic, almost-techno piece in the second half.

Roman Rauch's remix takes out the tempo and the quirkiness of 'Baguette Magique', instead opting for a laid back 80s tropical groove, turning the original theme into an insanely deep and obscure chord sequence.

On the flip, LeSale takes things to disco territory with percussive drums, a cheeky filtered sample and a hyperactive synth bass sequence on 'House Rules'.

'Jungle Breeze' wraps up the release, offering a hazy mix of deep pads, tribal drums and oddball flute samples.

On Opulence's second release the label welcomes Grammy nominated artist James Teej with his "The Only Constant EP". Inspired by his budding years DJing, James revisits his early house influences and delivers two powerful cuts of disco infused grooves laced with an overall contemporary touch.

The first track "The Only Constant Is Change" is a highly infectious dance floor number reminiscent of classic filtered disco house, arranged with a patient and contemporary restraint. The track's hypnotic and repetitive nature draws the listener in, and keeps the attention throughout with subtle changes that slowly grow to a tasteful and rewarding climax.

On remix duties Opulence has invited Apollonia's House music legend Dan Ghenacia who delivers a slick deep house rework that keeps the vibes intact of the original with the French artist's signature groovy machine touch. ARTIST STATEMENT
When I started out in electronic music in the 90s, house is what got me hooked. It was the style I have played and loved most over the years.

Back then I would buy a lot of different styles of house records from around the world, I always loved how the sounds were so varied, and would have these amazing subtle differences in their sound and aesthetics. But in the end I have always had a real soft spot for disco and jazzy sounding house.

This record draws on some of my earlier influences, as well as being inspired by some of my favourite labels of the time like Glasgow Underground and Prescription.

This EP comes at a point and time in my career where looking back continues to inspire me to move forward.

I always had a hard time finding records that were a bit more restrained sounding and not too over the top, so this is what I have attempted to do with this record.

To help bring some of these vibes and influences into the 21st century with a modern touch for the new generation of house lovers and DJs."

I Continued Developing The Tracks On Occasional Trips To Switzerland, But Mainly Back In The Gritty Habitat Of London's Hackney Wick. The Urban-nature Contrast Had An Impact On The Music Too.
I Use A Lot Of Found Sound, Stuff I Have Collected Over The Years, And A Lot Of Resampled Guitar Sounds And Textures. I Love Imperfections In Sound. Detuned Synths. Distortions And Glitches. Rhythmic Flutters And Percussive Frenzy. 'manual' Cut-ups. I Love Moving To House And Disco And Getting Lost In The More Melodic Side Of Techno. I Love Polyrhythms And Melodic Counterpoints. I Love The Energy And Rawness Of A Live Rock Band. I Channel All This To Create My Own Sonic Palette.

The neon lights that decorate a dive bar's window cast a vivid reflection in rainwater on the pavement outside, as steam rises from deep beneath the ground. A slow pan across the scene, past alleys cast in shadow, twilit corners & glass doorways streaked with the mist of humid bodies fuming inside: the camera catches the denizens of an unnamed city, studying faces heavy with secrets too sad to bear. Cut to the motorway. Sleek cars barrel through the night. Sirens moan. Engines rev. You're behind the wheel, over the edge as the credits roll.

This film does not exist — but the soundtrack does. Symmetry is Johnny Jewel & Nat Walker, & Themes For an Imaginary Film is their two-hour cinematic opus pokus, a sprawling score for a movie that screens only in your mind. A 'conceptual tangent between Glass Candy, Chromatics, Mirage, & Desire's more abstract sides,' as Jewel himself describes the project, Symmetry is a vigorous, electric, restless exploration of ideas on the bleeding edge of instrumental sound. Analog synthesizers roll and crest, drums collide, keys cascade clear & crystalline. These themes evoke the phantasmic images that inspired them: urgent and ethereal, sinister & romantic. It's a neo-noir epic of pink fog & femme fatales hidden behind rain drenched windshields after dark.

The third release on Palms & Charms comes from Tokyo club stalwart Masanori Ikeda (Mansfield, Ikeda X), who has had previous releases on the legendary Flower Records and Cos/Mes imprint Snaker.

A resident DJ at London club Wag in the early 90's, Masanori returned to Japan later in the decade and has since provided the soundtrack to many a Tokyo night-time adventure, most recently with his continuing residency at Shibuya institution Oath.

With Afro Tipsy, Masanori offers up a monster of rolling percussion and pulsating synths. Feel the stress of the day fall away, your veins flowing as if with the very energy of a thousand suns. Moving confidently to the dance floor, your head and limbs begin to move in new and unexpected rhythms. Don't be alarmed - you feel good.

On the flipside, the remix from Almunia (Claremont 56) takes you deeper than deep. The sound envelops you as you enter the club. The continental winds and low pressure lift you aloft and you circulate around the dance floor, carried far as if on a warm jet stream. Breathy vocals and melancholy are countered by warm synthlines in the brooding 'Valis' before the lonesome 'Is There Anybody Out There' blooms into a daringly bright work of disco dimensions. The Word is one of the better kept secrets of 1980s Austrian disco music. Yet once you put the needle on this record, you notice that it sounds oddly familiar. The awe inspiring signature piece “Lobster” has the same analogue, slow moving aesthetic as Zenit’s timeless “Waiting” that was featured on Edition Hawara’s first release. The same goes for the three other wonderfully unconventional, proto electronic songs: “Easy”, “All My Life” and the eponymous “ The Word”. And there are even more commonalities with Zenit’s LP: The vocals are Linda Sharrock’s, who here teamed up with Karl “Charly” Ratzer and Peter Ponger, the twin brother of legendary Falco producer Robert Ponger. The result of this collaboration is, well, also quite legendary. How this kind of sound emerged in Vienna in 1984 is still a bit of a mystery, but clearly all the stars were aligned when Sharrock, Ratzer and Ponger were jamming in the studio. We are very proud to share this secret with you. Just as there are very few lobsters in landlocked Vienna, there are very few records like this out there.

Coming in strong with an update on another classic track, Glitterbox Recordings presents Krystal Davis 'So Smooth' featuring remixes from Kon and Yam Who alongside the original and an instrumental. One of the last in a rare breed of dedicated crate-diggers, Kon's vast knowledge of the heavily swung rhythms of classic disco make him a reverent remixer for this mid-tempo Krystal Davis disco hit, originally released in 1985 on New York label Urban Rock Records Inc. His version amps up the pace, tailoring the record for any discerning contemporary disco set. Midnight Riot Records head Yam Who goes blissed out with the synths for an irresistible mix that's smoother than smooth.

Mr. K and MEU are back with a definitive issue of one of the greatest ‘80s R&B cuts, René and Angela’s majestic “I Love You More.”

Despite residing in the upper echelon of Billboard’s R&B charts for the entire summer of 1981, twelve-inch copies of “I Love You More” have always been tricky to track down, a promo-only item that meant hearing the extended mix was a rare treat. Back in the early ‘80s, one place you could reliably enjoy it was when Danny Krivit was playing for the skaters at The Roxy in downtown Manhattan. “Not too fast, not too slow,” describes the perfect skating tempo, and “I Love You More” fits the bill to a tee. With this new release, Danny Krivit has revisited an earlier edit of the song and turned in two brand new, epic reworkings, the first time his vocal mix has ever been available.

Laced throughout with artfully matched additional instrumentation, from the reverb drenched solo piano that opens and closes the song, to the spacey synth improvisations that ripple throughout (both courtesy AK), to the touches of just right extra percussion, nothing is heavy-handed or overdone. Even with the vocal version clocking in at a generous nine minutes, the captivating groove and revamped arrangement leave listeners wanting more. Fortunately the flip side instrumental opens up endless possibilities for creative DJs to take things even farther.

“I Love You More” was originally produced by Bobby Watson, Rufus bassist and an A-list L.A. studio veteran also responsible for the bass line in MJ’s “Rock With You.” Watson brought in many of those same studio pros for this session, including legendary engineer Bruce Swedien, who put an equally luxurious gloss on “I Love You More” as he did with “Off The Wall” two years earlier. Bobby Watson also happens to be René Moore’s older brother. In a touch of familial echo, AK, the keyboardist on this new landmark rework, happens to be the wife of Danny Krivit.

Most Excellent Unlimited is releasing Mr. K’s “I Love You More” edits as a special Valentine’s day twelve-inch vinyl release, complete with red label, a first for the modestly monochromatic MEU.

Seemingly unstoppable, Palermo Traxx Vol 2 is the third release from The Home Current for Castles in Space during 2019. Following the polished industrialisms and eighties inspired grooves of LP “Civilian Leather” and an immediately sold-out 7”, Martin Jensen returns with his final record of the year recorded in praise of a long deceased nightclub called Candy Junction. Recalling the euphoria and positivity of a club night, this towering work shift gears from “Civilian Leather” to full on, futuristic, air cooled dance floor assault. The original plan for this record was to release a white label promo with a facsimile DJ feedback sheet. Straight from 1991 with love. However, as the music developed, it was agreed that this needed a full official release with all the tinsel and trimmings.

Soundtracks and dark, sinister disco. He has amassed a massive fanbase and has a fantastic discography stretching all the way back to his first releases in 2008. Currently residing in The Hague, Bristolian Anton Maiof makes music that is beautifully dark, yet wonderfully uplifting. His “British Interrail” EP is his first release for Castles in Space since the long sold out “British Summer/Russian Winter” double 7”.Anton delivers a beautiful sequence of frosty electronic disco tracks on the 30+ minute E.P. release, “British InterRail”. Written and produced in The Hague between 2017 and 2019, these tracks bring together some of Anton’s most stirring work executed with his usual affecting and direct production. Fantastic stuff.

Sometimes a single is released that reaches such dizzying heights of success that it becomes a pinnacle of the decade they're indelibly tied to. "Groove Is In The Heart" by dance-house trio Deee-Lite is one such single. The infectiously quirky, and eminently danceable track is prominently based around samples of "Bring Down The Birds" by Herbie Hancock, and "Get Up" by Vernon Burch, among many others, (Courtesy of dual producers DJs Dmitry and Towa Tei) paired with top-tier guest contributions from JB's veterans Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley, background vocals from Parliament-Funkadelic's own Bootsy Collins, and even a guest rap from Q-Tip, not to mention frontwoman Lady Miss Kier's own siren-like vocals. All disparate and disconnected elements, but ones that would come together to form dancehall greatness, and chart-topping success worldwide for Deee-Lite. "Groove Is In The Heart" managed to reach #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but excelled at its best on the Hot Dance Club Play chart, where it reached to the #1 spot. On top of its success in America it was a smash internationally, climbing the heights of the charts in the UK, Canada, Australia, and a vareity of other countries. It remained in heavy rotation for much of 1990 on MTV as well. As the decades went on, "Groove Is In The Heart" would be ranked among the greatest dance tracks of all time, as well as one of the greatest songs of the 1990s by VH1, Pitchfork, Buzzfeed, and many more. "Groove Is In The Heart" was a potent single for Deee-Lite to lead with, but the album bearing it was nothing to slouch at either. The group's debut record, 1990's World Clique was released to major commercial and critical success, owing just as much to its addictive hybrid of seductive retro aesthetics, modern dancefloor flair, and esoteric, socially conscious messaging, on the back of celebratory club staples like "Power Of Love", "Good Beat", "E.S.P.", and of course "Groove Is In The Heart." World Clique would reach top 20 charts in the US, UK, and Canada in sales, as well as earn rave reviews from NME, Chicago Sun-Times, Rolling Stone, and Slant Magazine, who called it an "essential pop album."

A true Holy Grail from the Cloud One catalog, Don't Let My Rainbow Pass Me By' is the third of a string of titles on Golden Flamingo produced by the P&P duo of Patrick Adams and Peter Brown and featuring vocals from Guardian Angel' singer Margot Williams. Similar to previous Cloud One's productions, this record had all the
elements of a Patrick Adams classic, but with vocal arrangements that foreshadowed the work he would do with Inner Life and Jocelyn Brown at Salsoul. Perhaps not so much of a concidence then that Margot Williams would provide backing vocals on Inner Life's Second and final album. Even though it was originally released in 1981, Don't Let My Rainbow Pass Me By' is still championed by high-profile deejays today. Over the years, it's been notably sampled in Basement Jaxx's Romeo and covered by Todd Terje and Prins Thomas in Reinbagan" as a Dub-Disco cut.

B1 Another Flow see's Norm explore more of his own original musical composition with this slightly deeper, more electronic cut. A soul vocal sits upon deep pads and a driving, gritty 1note bass line. Pads and synths swirl and build and we get some wild modulation on the filters before the track breaks to slowly introduce a repetitive, rolling & pounding motif over which Norm lays some signature pads and a lovely simple lead-synth line.

This is the first time We've Got The Power has been released on a 12' single. The genre defying female family vocal group The Pointer Sisters during a critically and commercially successful career took in country, jazz, blues, soul and funk to pop, disco, dance, electronic music and rock.

Side A features the full length album version of the dance floor classic We've Got The Power. The track opens with beautiful, sweeping strings over a solid, engaging beat before showcasing the trio's natural, tight harmonies on the opening verse. June's bright, powerful, gutsy voice then takes centre stage on the lead vocal bridging the verse into the uplifting horn-led chorus on which her sisters join her to mesmerising effect. The sweeping string motif then makes a brief re-appearance before an even more impassioned second verse and chorus make way for the instrumental sequence. Alternating between a funky horn line and the sweeping strings the instrumental passage takes the track to even greater heights, effortlessly carrying the listener and/or dancer through to the final verse and cleverly extended final chorus as the track fades. The Pointer Sisters' commanding, heartfelt vocal sound is perfectly suited to convey the song's theme of striving to retain innocence and positivity even in the face of life's many challenges.

Side B features arguably The Pointer Sisters' hardest hitting recording, the funk/rock track Evil. Helmed by a snarling June on lead vocals, ably assisted by her siblings. The song is centred round the evil character, 'Pretty Poison,' whom the sisters are seeking to turn the tables on due to his love 'em and leave 'em attitude. Explosive from the outset the powerful, alternating guitar and horn lines, along with a driving funk bass set the tone for the duration of the track, only yielding for the verses. Expertly arranged to maintain the driving momentum throughout Evil boasts an incredible guitar solo from Paul Jackson, Jr. and a dextrous vocal scat sequence before the sisters layer their vocals over the progressive, expansive horn lines as the extended closing chorus fades, leaving you breathless after just over three minutes. Evil is a bona fide funk bomb.

In the previous reissues we talked so much about this fantastic piece and "Marie", a very cinematic and supportive song, that now it is appropriate to dwell on the re-visited version of Danilo Braca that extends beautifully on the AA side of this new remastered reprint. Danilo who lives in the big apple often frequents Ibiza, perhaps also for this he has been able to exalt the most rhythmic elements of "Shadows from Nowhere", putting the beautiful falsetto beats to excessive movements, just like the waves that wash themselves on the sandy beaches of the White Island. His teacher Mario Gentili from Layer Bows added a beautiful arrangement for the strings and his Italian-New York collaborator Alvise Marino spread some fragments of guitar powder on top. That's it. 9 minutes of pure bliss, but also of catchy rhythm!

MISCHIEVOUS URGES EP' is an extract of the same-titled debut album of VELVET KILLS (self-released in digital and released in CD version by our partners in crime UNKNOWN PLEASURES RECORDS). Thanks to their outstanding debut Velvet Kills reached to be on important press windows with their unique blend of synth pop and alternative post-punk. 'MISCHIEVOUS URGES EP' arrives on SPECIAL EDITION presented on 12 EP format and produced in a ONE-OFF truly limited edition of 200 copies lacquered pressed on 180 gr. high quality solid white vinyl. All tracks have been specially mastered and remastered for LONG CUT vinyl by Eric Van Wonterghem.

Label boss "Aimes" returns to his home base with a double track of chugging acid-tinged left-field techno. Both tracks implore multi-dimensional existentialist lyrics combined with cosmic leaning production. A1 is the title track of course, describing an out of this world existential experience. The track is bouncy, fun, and slightly odd, but certainly danceable.

On A2 (which is offered up only on vinyl), Aimes takes the original song and turns it into a club-ready slow-burning stomper with a full on repetitious acidic bassline fit for any sleazy techno set.

The remix on A3 comes courtesy of Sean Johnston aka Hardway Bros (member of A Love from Outer Space with Andrew Weatherall) who turns the original into a dark and brooding version with a punchy bassline and cosmic synths.

Aimes’ second original on the EP "We Are Eternal" is a massive
slowed down acid burner that reiterates the eternalness of humanity. Incredibly psychedelic in nature, the pulsing bass and bubbling acid line is prime for a dark and sweaty rave.

B2 comes courtesy of Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara who submits a cosmic, dubbed out flip of the original, taking the listener on an extended spatial journey.

On B3 Japanese producer 'Que Sakamoto' and his production-partner 'NT' ramp up the bpms for a dark disco rendition of the original.

Overhauling its own vast legacy, Sony Music announced a reissue of 'Flame' — a hidden gem of early trip-hop music created by the creative genius of Crustation.
Originally released in 1997, 'Flame' was one of the last works that Bristol trio came up with. At the same time, it's also one of their most powerful pieces: the main track, filled with a hazy vocal of Bronagh Slevin, is a twisted love song full of shuffling beats and inner groove. Crustation's approach to production and composition served as an inspiration to quite amazing remixes as well. Borderline Insanity Dub Mix and Mood II Swing Vocal Mix by influential and innovative house classics Mood II Swing are definitely the stand-out acts of the record, which sound as powerful and timeless as they were two decades ago.
The trio of producers known as Crustation were quite connected in the fertile Bristol trip-hop community — they played in bands with Portishead's Adrian Utley during the 1980s, and regularly hung out with Massive Attack and Smith & Mighty. They debuted in 1994 with two EPs for Cup of Tea Records (also the home of Monk & Canatella, Statik Sound System and Purple Penguin), and released their debut album Bloom in 1998.

Ichisan's 2017 Aperitiv was so good that we've decided to return for a second helping from his sumptuous album. Four choice cuts have been selected and reworked with a specific instrument focus. The harpsicord version of 'Hotel' keeps the intoxicating melody of the original but allows beats to relax as notes shine with an incandescent brilliance. Drums put their feet up for the Rhodes version of 'Modri Tunel.' Deep stings and lounging lines mingle in this work of smoke swirling seduction. 'Kozmetika (Trumpet Version)' dances to a different tune. Rich bass is again central but this time brash and bold brass intertwine with funk filled bars. The last waltz arrives with the piano version of 'Terminal E.' Alluring notes ascend, rising and falling against heartwrenching guitar strings for a finale to end this ballroom inspired beauty.

This trio soon left Tiny to form them own group « The Diplomatics » with « Irving Waters » as lead singer. They later on became the legendary « Skull Snaps » (One Lp on GSF Records)… Over The Time Samm co-produced and (or) played with many unforgettable famous artists such as The Fatback Band, George Kerr, Patrick Adams, Vaughan Mason, Reggie Griffin, De-De, Van Mc Coy, Lloyd Price & even later in Hip Hop music with Marley Marl or Freddie Foxxx. Back in 1982, the original issue of the A Side “Walk”, a great killer dance floor tune, the sunny guitar hook make you feel the summer heat Jazzfunk Boogie, came out on a Silver Cloud Records 12inch, this track bring you light shine to dance as a Walk, close your eyes & easily imagine crazy tricks of Jazz Funk dancers, go fly with his sensual voice & let's tripp on sunshine... The B Side is a remix by our well known Lord Funk & his partner Moar, their wishes was to respect the original song, putting on a slight drums & effect. We hope you gonna like that new Boogie Slice!

The story of TodoTodo is one of the most incomprehensible and surprising in the history of Spanish electronic music. Without doubt it is, sadly, also one of the most ephemeral. The curse that has haunted them since their forming in 1980 and during their short year and half of life is already legendary. Domestica Records did justice to the group in 2012 with a comprehensive compilation and this EP joins this initial tribute as it reimagines some of these trailblazers most representative productions: Digital Dancer and Autoga´s.
Almost forty years later, Frigio is bringing some of their music to a fresh audience. Juanpablo with his extended edit of 'Digital Dancer.' A steady kick tethers a tripping mechanical melody, a melody that bubbles and simmers as toms, horns and daring funk collide for this seven minute odyssey into the world of Iberian underground synth. The original version from 81 closes the A, a brief and brilliant piece of proto-techno. The flip is introduced by Catalan Dj, journalist and author of ¡Bacalao! Historia Oral de la Mu´sica de Baile en Valencia, Luis Costa. Costa re-imagines 'Autogas' with his Tool Edit, reshaping the off-kilter keys and future highways and byways of the original. The finale is a true treasure from the annals of time. A live version of 'Autogas' from the legendary Rock'Ola club in Madrid, an unreleased work that is as audacious and bold as it was when it was first performed in 1981.

This record is in loving memory of Vincenzo Balestrieri, "Offshore Powerboat Racing World Champion", 1968, 1970. From the first to mid-sixties the "Offshore Powerboat Racing" was emerging as a worldwide sport. Great Britain, France, Sweden and Italy were holding regular events that, along with the existing US venues, became part of the World Championship Tour. In 1968, after a four-year domination by the Americans, Italian count Vincenzo Balestrieri Cosimelli of Rome, (Dec. 18, 1926 - March 31, 2012) was able to clinch the world title by winning 5 of the season's races: 1 - Sam Griffith Memorial Race, Florida, US 2 - Naples Trophy, Naples, Italy 3 - Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio, Italy 4 - France's Dauphin D'Or, France 5 - Swedish Grand Prix, Sweden ...and by taking the second place at the Wills International Race, England. When he dropped 'Heaven and Earth' in the mid 80's, the joint went ballistic.

That tune ruled London and became not only a rare groove classic but remains a much loved staple of today's club scene - all because of Paul's exceptional ear for music.

Disco-funk recorded in London in the late-70s by Fungai Malianga who’d relocated from South Africa to North London. His funk-led ode to his manor with ‘Finsbury Park Party’ sportin’ Break-beats, tape echo, horn section and a narrative on Harringay’s finest known landscape. This is backed by a disco-funk version of Lennon–McCartney’s ‘Things We Said Today’, not only the most unknown version until now but also the grooviest. Drum & bass grooves to the max.
