Aus Music follow up a string of records from fresh signees Paul Woolford, Tom Trago and Recloose with the return of a long term friend and label favourite Marquis Hawkes. Hot on the heels of his recent LP 'Social Housing' - the Berlin based artist lines up 'Doornroosje', a tight a two-tracker that remains consistent with his output on Aus: dancefloor-focused jams suffused with simplicity and soul. 'Discopuss' kicks things off with a potent combination of samples and hardware as sassy Funk samples are propelled by tough crunching drums. The title track then follows up with piano stabs and busy, percolating synth lines driven at a pacy rate to rapturous effect rounding off another solid addition to Aus Music's catalogue.

Wikileaks was kind enough to release audio recordings to Mysidian that were found on the server and have immediately been pressed to vinyl.

This 1979 release is one of the two albums by the disco outfit THE RAY CAMACHO BAND with bandleader Ray Camacho, exploring the field of the funky club dance music happening at that time. Original copies of this brilliant album go for about 800,00 USD among collectors. Now the brand new reissue of "Reach Out" enables us booty shakers to get into the ever pulsating grooves. The needle lowers down and hits the vinyl and a beat like flashing lights sets in. Bass guitar, regular drums and percussions weave a tight web of rhythm patterns that capture your body right away and set you into a state of trance. You recognize Latin influences here and there, which become obvious when the horns blow out lush harmonies and relaxed but hot blooded melodies hit your ears. And indeed Ray Camacho actually comes from Latin music and he mixes both worlds very well on this record. Larry Levan's name is synonymous with contemporary dance music culture, his contributions are widely noted in many books and documentaries and in the memories of the lucky people who got to experience his phenomenal DJ sets at the now legendary Paradise Garage in NYC throughout the late 70's until the late 80's. His name is still mentioned with reverence today and he is listed as an influence by countless DJs and artists across the world.

Not only did Larry hold down a residency at one of the finest clubs on the planet with his impeccable selecting and DJ-ing skills for a decade, he also lent his expert ear to many remixing jobs and production sessions, adding his touch to a slew of classic dance records that encapsulated the era; Tanaa Gardner "Heartbeat", NYC Peech Boys "Don't Make Me Wait", Esther Williams "I'll Be Your Pleasure", Gwen Guthrie "Seventh Heaven" and Loose Joints "Is It All Over My Face" to name a select few.

It is Larry's peerless tastes that form the basis of the second volume of the 2003 Japanese CD only Salsoul records compilation. Compiled by Hisa Ishioka of King Street Sounds / Nite Grooves and consisting of some all time classics dug deep from within Salsoul's vast archives. The tracks included here got regular airings on the dance-floor of the Paradise Garage and helped to form the basis of and inspire the subsequent House and Techno movements in the years following the closure of the club and Larrys' tragic passing.

This second volume features another slew of essential tracks from back in the day with classic artists like Skyy, Candido, Instant Funk & Loletta Holloway all featuring. Pressed onto vinyl for the very first time "Paradise Garage - The Legend Of Dance Music Vol.2" contains some stone cold Garage anthems, re-mastered and presented here in triple LP format to remind us all of the power of these timeless records, and the power of the mighty Larry Levan!

The third release of the "Obscure Cuts" series, curated by the Italian disco pioneer Beppe Loda, represents the electronic dance movement that formed in the late 70s - early 80's in Italy. It features a few obscure productions that were inspired by Giorgio Moroder and other European electronic music of the time.

Be my Lova couldn't be more Italian if it tried apart from the fact that it's actually German ! Italo vibes with super bloody marvellous vocal, synth's all over the show with a chorus more catchy than the common cold.

Ninety is the second full-length album and first on ZTT Records by British electronic music group 808 State, released in 1989 and featuring the UK Top 40 single 'Pacific State' which reached #10 in November 1989.

808 State's debut album release on ZTT Records wasn't the first major U.K. house/techno release, but arguably, it was the most important at the time, gaining a reputation over the years as a true classic in the field of electronic music. It helped to fully lay the groundwork for the '90s electronic revolution that continues to play out in the U.K.

Slant Magazine listed the album at #54 on its list of the 'Best Albums of the 1980s' saying 'A thrilling expansion of the possibilities for acid house and arguably the best LP ever produced in the style'.

Available on limited edition triple vinyl (via DJ specialty shops) this is a compilation of nine tracks remixed (between 1979 and 1982) by Larry Levan, the DJ behind New York's famously influential nightclub, The Paradise Garage. Levan is a producer and remixer who, though he died in 1992, continues to be cited as one of the industry's greatest and most revered. Each of the nine individual full-length tracks was DIGITALLY REMASTERED specifically for this project. The sound quality is brilliant! The compilation comes complete with comprehensive liner notes giving the label's history, its relationship with Levan and anecdotes about each of the nine remixes and how each came about.
Originally released in 1999 this release has been fully re created for 2016. Released in conjunction with West End.

Vinylmania: As classic disco came bounding through the late '70s and into the electronically orientated sounds of the '80s, New York was one of the undisputed frontiers for the latest developments in dance music culture, nightclubs and the art of DJing. At the center of this seminal time for vinyl culture was a store called Vinylmania, set up by Charlie Grappone in the heart of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, just as the culture of 12-inch singles and promo copies was taking hold. From supplying Levan, Tony Humphries and many more with the latest imports to championing the emergence of house music in the mid-'80s, Grappone and his staff played a significant role in New York's own dance music story. Through the '90s and up until closing in 2007, Vinylmania was a store that catered to DJs from across the complex mixture of racial, social and sexual demographics that made up New York and its legendary nightlife. Man Friday: As the NYC Peech Boys came to an end, Man Friday became Larry Levan's newest production project. Fronted by Kofi Morny and Brodie Williams, their dubut single 'Love Honey, Love heartache' was released by Vinyl Mania in 1986 with Larry Levan at the helm of the mix. Love Money: In the spirit of most dance music borrowing elements from other sources, 'Love Honey' was heaviliy inpired by another Paradise Garage & Loft classic from 1980 and its remix in 1981 by UK Outfit Funk Masters / TW Funkmasters. A dubbed out track big in the Jazz-Funk scene in the UK, it became a hit among underground Deejays in Both NYC & Chicago. Love Honey: No matter what list you look at. 'Love Honey' is always attached to Larry Levan's tenure at the Paradise Garage. All the elements of a Garage Track are here; Dub Echoes, Synth Basslines, Percussions that linger, FX -that one can only dream of hearing on a Richard Long System- and an Organ, because after all, they say the Garage was like going to Church. Remember when you'd buy a record after hearing it at the Club We miss that. As a result, We are proud to Introduce Get On Down Sound with the aim to bring back our favorite Dance 12's to a new generation of Vinyl-DJs. Re-mastered for optimal club use, these are official re-issues of some of Dance Music's most influential cuts.

'This Is How It Started' focuses heavily on the early days of the Chicago sound, especially in the formative years at Ron Hardy's Music Box.

Following Chicago's Disco Demolition Night in 1979 the genre's popularity fell dramatically, hence fewer disco records being released.In this era Chicago's DJs such as Hot Mix 5, Hardy, Knuckles & Jesse Saunders played a variety of styles mixing in Italo, electronic pop music, electro-funk and older disco joints often playing their own edits which focusing on the portions of the songs which always rocked the dancefloor. At the end of 1982, when
DJ Frankie Knuckles left the Warehouse to open the Power Plant, Ron Hardy started to DJ at the Warehouse's new location until owner Robert Williams renamed it The Music Box. In 1984, a local label released a 12-inch single called "On and On" by locals Jesse Saunders & Vince Lawrence who had simple made the song in order to replace a record which had been stolen from Saunders' collection, the "On & On" bootleg disco megamix by Mach. Hence Chicago House Music was born and a modern day phenomenon followed.

The direction of this new compilation was to delve deeper into the early sound that fired Ron's eclectic vision and to harness this within todays scene, bringing in not only artists from the original Chicago era but also the DJ & producers who have been influenced by those halcyon days.

Well well well, what have we here then The folk from KAT come up with a might nice surprise brining us a name we haven't seen or heard for a good while, Domu. Domu is a name synonymous with the Broken beat scene (still bubbling away folks) and everything he touched oozed pure quality. No exception here with a couple of big re-edits that are taken from the Japa-nese only release (and uber rare) ESP DJ Classics Vol 2: Domu's Disco Jazz released back in 2009. The Emotions, Love Vibes has been sampled a good few times before, a couple of re-edits have reared their heads but none go anywhere near Domu's wonderful take on this Jazz Funker. The tempo is taken up a notch or three, we have an arrangement to die for and just listen out for the filters - cheeky! On the flip we have a mighty edit of Claudia Barry's Give it Up, originally out in 1978 and taken from the 'I Wanna Be Loved By You' album. Funked up Disco with a killer groove, raunchy guitars and aching sassy vocals to boot. So good to see this finally out on vinyl.

Nick J Smith has been immersed in the Leeds underground music scene for ages and is one third of the DJ crew and top mixtape blog Clandestino.This EP is representative of the eclectic vibe Nick brings to the trio. The main track 'Flashback' bubbles with Chicago style dreamy chug and 90's rave gaze.
Planet Raider is cyborg Manc-talo Electro night driving music at its best and mega Geordie Man Power twists the 'Flashback' remix into an impressive and progressive 9 minute bulimic tek belch. Nick has been regularly releasing his music on Red Laser since his debut on EP4. Word is he finished this EP at least 6 months ago and it only just gets released due to the vinyl pressing plant melt down across Europe.Soul-less cretins at the major labels are selling repressed LPs for 20 quid that you can buy in any charity shop for 50p and it's this overload that's causing the blockages. Well you won't be seeing this EP in any charity shop soon as it boasts three appendix bursting club bangers for any 'fill the dance floor' emergency.

These two young guns from Amsterdam promise to leave a big mark on the scene. Their fresh interpretation of classic US House convinces with soulful vocals, stomping beats and surprising breaks. On their debut EP, Soultage delivers with 'Old school love' and 'Soulful Damage' two House anthems, which will definitely make every peak time dancefloor go Boom.
To 'Warm up the place' in the earlier hours, the duo recommends a swinging groove and jazzy Trumpet.

"It all started in 1974 with the purchase of my first Mini Moog and another 70's dream machine, a white Mellotron M 400." So starts Klaus Hoffmann of his 40 years love affair with the Mellotron. Moving from Prog-Rock guitarist to Cosmic Disco warrior in a space of a few years, the birth of Cosmic Hoffmann would lead to a number of classic Kosmiche albums through-out the 1980s. Before this though came Space-Disco. Initially recorded in 1978 after endless late night sessions exploring the new realms of this free form electronic music, the first incarnation was recorded live to tape for a failed film project. An uplifting spaced-out synth journey, it was the later reworked version that would go on to become the lost cult classic. With added disco syncopation taking the track into interstellar spheres, it appeared only as a flipside of Cosmic Hoffmann's first and last single, "Weltraumboogie", in 1982. Unfortunately the release did not make much impression at the time but has become highly sought-after for the more leftfield DJ and music lovers in the years since. Now fully licensed and remastered, the inclusion of the unreleased 1978 Original will be only add to the collectors dream.

Occasionally, a record — or sometimes even a DJ — simply falls out of the sky, like so many unexplained showers of fish, or midnight deliveries of frozen piss from passing jumbo jets. And so it was when DJ Steve first came to our attention in 2011 via Tim Sweeney, who discovered him quite by chance DJing in the Italian seaside town of Tropea. Sweeney, on vacation in the area, was so impressed with Steve he passed him his card, telling him to call him if he ever made it to New York. Some time later, DJ Steve did make it to New York, called Sweeney and turned up at the Beats In Space studio, barely speaking any English but with a pile of DJ Steve special cuts', white labels and acetates, and laid down an extended mix - Italian style!'. Then, nobody ever really heard from him again. Fast forward to Berlin 2013, and the mix had become a staple at the after hours of a small group of friends, including Paramida, who would soon start Love On The Rocks. They called it the DJ Steve experience'. Paramida counts it as one of her main musical inspirations, saying it showed her another perspective of groove, and turned her perception of dance music upside down'. And still, nobody seemed to know who he was. speaking any English but with a pile of DJ Steve special cuts', white labels and acetates, and laid down an extended mix - Italian style!'. Then, nobody ever really heard from him again. Until one day in early 2016, after years of exhausting all her contacts in an effort to track him down, after all the blood, sweat and tears, and countless hours spent interrogating various dance music insiders, Paramida finally received a message. Minkia, stu pezzu nci spunda u culu e passari!' Whatever that meant, it was instantly clear that her search had come to a conclusion. Despite the near-indecipherable dialect, and other obvious communication problems, Paramida somehow persuaded him to sign two of his special

Now we give you an off the chain/on point/un-believable remix from Rhemi. We're not going to describe the nuances of the remix and highlight why the aforementioned big name djs like dropping the track in their sets at cool clubs/festivals/corporate events but its pretty bloody good...

Torske's debut album under his own name was Nedi Myra' in 1998 on UK label Ferox. After that he released a string of singles with Svek label, among them the seminal Jegvilværesøppelmann' (that translates to I Want To Be A Binman' in English). Also on Svek was the single Sexy Disco', cited by Todd Terje as the first time I listened to disco in a non-ironic way'. The "Trøbbel" album was released in 2001 and in 2005 he signed to Smalltown Supersound and released the two 12' singles KoktKveite' and Ny Lugg/Kortbaklangpåsiden' and the albums Feil Knapp' (2007) and Kokning' (2009). In 2010 he released Oppkok' 12' EP with remixes by DJ Harvey and Todd Terje. 2013 saw the release of Kok' EP which contained additional material from the Kokning' album sessions.

In the summer of 2014, producers Frankie Valentine and Thomas 'T-Ash' Sciurpa bumped into each other in a London shoe shop. Over a fine selection of brogues and loafers, the conversation drifted onto music. The duo quickly realized they had much in common, and a plan began to form: they would get together and make music as Vitruvians, using the alias as a vehicle for their collaborative work.
Some 18 months and numerous recording sessions in England and Italy later, the first Vitruvians record is ready for release. Dropping on Paul Murphy and Simon Purnell's Leng Records imprint, 'Spaghetti Saloon' is a banjo-pickin' hoedown at the last drinking hole in the Milky Way. Propelled forwards by a restless drum machine rhythm, the duo's original version expertly combines winding synthesizer melodies, wild honky-tonk piano solos, clanging 'closing time' bells, and the most loved-up banjo player in the galaxy. Ladonia is a micronation proclaimed in 1996 by the artist Lars Vilks. In 1980, he began construction of two sculptures, Nimis and Arx in the Kullaberg nature reserve in north-west Skane, Sweden. t. Frank Agrario has given Ladonian citizenship this year and titled the label's second release to his new nation. The peaceful and deep nature that surrounds Nimis really impacted the sound. There is a certain deepnes that dominates the tracks, still the beats are funky as usual and percussion and dub fx work is an undeniable Frank Agrario's trademark. The Rmx comes from his Majesty RICK WADE that sparkled the release with his magic Detroit's vibe, a masterpiece. The Sound of Detroit by one of it's unsung heroes, Amp Fiddlers new album Motor City Booty comes straight off the D Funk assembly line, a full on dance floor affair from Motown to P-Funk, Techno and Neo Soul.
This 11 track album produced by Yam Who & includes the massive Soul Fly sounding like a Mark Ronson production had he been hanging out with George Clinton's Parlet followed by the bonafide P-Funk anthem 'Steppin' both featuring the stunning vocals by the Dames Brown girls.
Amp Fiddler is credited for taking both a young J Dilla and also Q-Tip under his wing teaching them Akai MPC techniques, setting the path for some of Hip Hops finest recordings which have defined the shape of things to come.

Not An Animal keeps up the pace and pressure with yet another high quality distinctive release, further cementing the labels specific sound and revealing more of the scope of its musical mission. Machete Savane are compromised of label co owner Andy Bainbridge and producer/composer Saul Richards. Manticore continues with their instantly recognisable hi octane yet organic discofied sound, as previously displayed via their releases on Cynic and Redux. Zarenzeit is a band project by the label owners with lead keyboarder and producer George Btp, also known as Allstarr Motomusic or Dan Piu. After several live projects back in the 90ies, the band releases its first full album as "Black Inside" with vocalist Debra Jones Davis and Sarignia Bonfà.
The LP infuses deep soulful house and 80ies funk elements, starting with the ambient house drift of "Time Travel", which soon settles into a classic rare synth pop as "2Souls, 1Heart", while "Let them know they won" blasts more into the spacy and light dancefloor. Sarignia's lovely gospel version of "Talk about a child", ends the album on a spare, but no less grooving, note.

Mozez (Zero 7, Nightmares On Wax) teams up with Ray Mang for some gospel disco infused versions of Run River, a track from his new album Wings.

After the success of their collaboration with Mozez' girlfriend Mari's track Free a couple of years ago, Mozez invited Ray to do some versions of something from his new album Wings recently released on Numen Records. Run River with its powerful gospel vocal harmonies and disco tinged guitar seemed the obvious choice. Boredom is the potent cross pollination and sonic reaction of two particular heady strains of Manchester and Amsterdam beats. Taking their name from the book by Alberto Moravia, Boredom are that strange juxtaposition where being surrounded by people can create severe isolation, their mantra 'Gotta get up and out and up and out' is a liberating call to arms of defiance to escape all expectations.
Bonding over a shared love of Polish disco, 80s Japanese pop and Paradise Garage mixes, Melodic Records label manager Andy Moss and Delphic's James Cook unknowingly recorded their debut release over two consecutive weekends, starting in a murky Salford mill basement only surfacing early on the Monday morning to start an eventful roadtrip and ferry ride to Amsterdam, where they finished the recordings on an Overtoom townhouse rooftop. As the sun came up, Boredom was born.
Joining the party are German House stalwarts Panthera Krause and Sandrow M who offer remixes on the Melodic 12' house bag which includes the original workings 'Geometry' and 'Turn Your Head'.

The Frozen Autumn is an Italian darkwave band, formed in May 1993 in Turin, Italy.
Originally the solo project of singer, keyboardist and synth programmer Diego Merletto, guitarist Claudio Brosio joined on during early studio sessions and live performances. Together they recorded and released two albums, Pale Awakening' in 1995 and Fragments of Memories' in 1997. In 1998, Claudio left the band and Diego recruited Arianna (aka Froxeanne) who sings, programs and composes. After 18 months of work, The Frozen Autumn's third album, Emotional Screening Device', was released in April 2002.

Time Is Just A Memory' is a 6-track overview of songs from The Frozen Autumn's first three albums. Characterized by a blend of melancholic vocals, atmospheric gothic-wave and 1980s-style electropop, the duo call their style "frozen wave'. The Frozen Autumn have stated that labelmates Clan of Xymox have been their main source of inspiration over the years. Other influences include Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, The Sisters of Mercy, Xmal Deutschland, David Sylvian and Depeche Mode. These six tracks stand out for their rich melodies, from the guitar-laden early tracks Dusk Is Like A Dagger', Wait For Nothing', There's No Time To Recall', and This Time,' to the electronic sheen on later songs Is Everything Real' and Silence Is Talking'.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The release is housed in a custom-made jacket by Peer Lebrecht, from German electro/synthpop band The Dust Of Basement, incorporating a photograph by Diego over a textured background that recalls early 4AD designs. Each copy comes with a double sided 11x11 insert with lyrics and notes.

Hubie Davison returns to Leisure System with the vinyl-only someonelove/in_out 12", his first official release since the success of his summer anthem "Sanctified" on Midland's ReGraded imprint.
"someonelove" marks the first time Davison's sampled his own voice for a hook - expect to hear his voice much more in future productions. On the B-side, "in_out" forgoes vocals entirely in favor of chunky, grooving machine-funk. It's an addictive acid joint, with a title that reflects the spontaneous nature of the original recording.
The someonelove/in_out 12" is Davison's third release on Leisure System, following 2013's meditative I Won't Be There EP and 2014's storming Khayyam Grey EP.

Groove Line Records release the first in a series of officially licensed disco remix 12's. Starting with two exceptional disco remixes of the Change classics, It's A Girl's Affair' and Searching', by Mike Maurro, whose recent The Mike Maurro Peak Hour Remixes box set has cemented the New York producer's reputation as one of the most respected disco remixers on the scene right now.

As one of the most innovative dance groups of the early 1980s Change scored several , disco and pop hits including the number one disco classics, A Lover's Holiday' and The Glow Of Love,' and helped launch the solo career of Luther Vandross due to his exceptional vocal performance on another of the group's number one disco hits, Searching.'

Side A features It's A Girl's Affair (Mike Maurro Disco Remix),' also included as an exclusive track on Groove Line's 2CD Change Anthology Reach For The Sky from 2015. Originally released on the groups debut album The Glow Of Love from 1980, It's A Girls Affair' features the powerhouse vocals of the legendary Jocelyn Brown as she sends out a rallying call to the girls' to take over the dance floors of the world above a dynamic, sophisticated euro dance groove complete with futuristic synth swells and dramatic breakdowns. The Mike Maurro Remix brings out all the best elements of the original recording creating a tight, punchy disco interpretation.

Side B features Searching (Mike Maurro Disco Remix),' the track famed for introducing Luther Vandross's velvet tones to a wider audience on both sides of the Atlantic. Regarded as the quintessential Vandross vocal performance Searching,' also from debut album The Glow Of Love, heralded a new era in R&,B/Dance due to both the fully realised melodic story of the lyric and the (at the time) unorthodox, rolling dance floor groove created by Change. Maurro employs his signature remixing styles to mesmerising effect here allowing the dancer to become immersed in the groove as each element is added at just the right time in order to keep propelling the track forward before every care is given to allow Vandross's faultless and encapsulating vocal to take centre stage.

Fantastic limited reissue of one of the holy grails of the Balearic scene. Recorded in 1981 by Guy Cuevas, a Cuban-born DJ living in Paris, every track is a killer. Side A features the full seven minute 12' version of 'Ebony Games' an epic Latin-tinged disco-funk floor-filler and for most the stand-out track, but Side B's mesmerising dubbed-out 'Everywhere Is My Home' and the sweet slo-mo groover 'Inside My Mind' are also brilliant. Excellent stuff!

First in a series of Versatile Records 20th Anniversary re-mastered vinyl repress is this double sided classic offering with the Daft Punk remix of I:Cube 'Disco Cubizm' on side A and an unreleased pass of Dj Gregory remix of Venus 'Cheek' on side B.

Ian Blevins is the keeper of the jewel in the crown. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. Picking up right where we left off, side A unleashes another explosive big room belter with Resumé—a driving rhythmic monster that takes advantage of the whips and cracks in Ian's drum machine arsenal, while warm chords lay a foundation for a quirky lead melody and rubbery pulse to dance upon. Akin to Hannibal, Blevins' ESP Institute debut in 2015, the arrangement here toys with us before revealing the true guts of the track—this time characterized halfway through by a punctuating gangster piano hook. On side B, Poor Old Head utilizes Ian's signature drum styling we've come to adore, but here he establishes swells of melancholy via bending notes that meow and purr, beautifully ebbing and flowing though an array of incongruous dial tones and bells—shakey and barely out of sync, yet cradling a loosely drawn chord progression.

Prolific Italian DJ and producer José Manuel releases his debut concept album 'Excursion Africanism' on the highly respected Copenhagen based Music For Dreams label.

On this new double vinyl LP 'Excursion Africanism', José Manuel delivers innovative and deeply percussive tribal grooves washed with voices and sounds of the African continent. Richard Rogers' Black Booby project returns to its re-edit roots after taking a brief Chi-town house diversion with Gene Hunt & co on BB07. This time around Rogers takes the reins himself for four lush re-works of classic, though obscure, tracks.

First up on the A-side there's 'Sunlab Export', an edit of the super-unknown 'Laxton Superb' by Dutch 80s electronic outfit Spectral Display. As Rogers puts it, "It's just an ethereal, twilight groove that's extended and ripened like a forbidden fruit. It's a good tune but the original had some key changes that take away from the main groove, so they had to go...

Next up is 'I Need Somebody Raw' a new take on disco's campest hero Sylvester's 'I Need Somebody To Love Tonight'. "I loved the wonky bassline of the original," Rogers explains, "so I wanted to give this one more of a dancefloor feel and to set the tone for the BB10 special, where I really go to town on old Sylvester!

Then moving onto the B-side, we have 'Jungle Booby' which is already attracting some underground heat, as this reworking of late 70s French disco group Kikrokos' track 'Jungle D.J.' sees Rogers take the original's intro for a long session on the dancefloor in its own right, 'I found out about Kikrokos from the Members Only edits and I wanted to create a whole track of the intro, so the strings got changed up to create a fuller section and highlight that super special bassline.'

Finally, 'And She Walks', Rogers' take on Kazino's 'Binary', sees him revamp the original B-side by highlighting its darker sonic sensibilities. In his own words, 'It's a driving, hostile rhythm track underlying a foreboding song, which has been reworked to bring out the menace in the groove - there was a relentlessness on the original B-side that we wanted to heighten.'

Bruno Belissimo is an Italo/Canadian producer and multi-instrumental solo artist. Bruno works with many Italian artists, both in studio and live, and currently is the bass player of the Sicilian songwriter Colapesce. Previously he has released three critically acclaimed albums playing bass with the band Low Frequency Club and toured extensively in Europe. Bruno Belissimo's sound is deeply influenced by the italo/space disco classics and the original soundtracks of 70s/80s Italian horror/sci-fi cinema. The result is an unique approach to disco music, a sort of New Italo' enriched by balearic atmospheres and jazz vibes. With the Italian record label Locale Internazionale Bruno has released three singles, Ethiopia/Galaxy' (2014), From Canada/To Paradise' (2015), Infradisco' (2015). These successes led to his first full-length self-titled album in April 2016, met with critical acclaimed and labeled Bruno as a rising talent in the European disco scene. Bruno complements the unique sound of his album with a powerful live set combining audio and video while showcasing his talents as instrumentalist

Following up the scorching debut release Another Night, Deep&Disco Recordings sidesteps the sophomore slump with Elisco, an infectious electro-funk groover that both cements the label's commitment to quality and expands their musical range.
A chunky nu-disco track with hints of Metro Area and a catchy vocal hook, the seeds of Elisco were planted in the early 2000's when label founder JKriv and Lou Teti were sharing a loft space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After an afternoon of cowbells and synths, the skeleton of the track had its shape, and their other roomate's girlfriend was enlisted to sing the hook. She had no singing experience (or rhythmic sense) to speak of, but somehow it all worked and Elisco was born! Although it's always been a personal favorite of the producer duo, the song remained shelved for almost 7 years until they dusted it off in early 2011 and readied it for release on the newly minted Deep&Disco Recordings.
Providing remixes for the vinyl release are the legendary Leftside Wobble, who turns in an extended and bpm'd-up version quite true to the original, taking the machine vibes to the next level with added loops and fx. Brighton's Alphabet City brings the disco-boogie sensibility to the package with a deep mix that features JKriv on live bass, and Whiskey Disco regular Sleazy McQueen rounds it out with an indie dance stomper.
The digital release will also include a live guitar'n'bass-heavy mix from the one and only Munga, and a balearic synth exposition from Germany's nu disco kings Space Ranger.

The importance of gospel music as an influence on soul can hardly be overstated. That influence is most obvious in southern soul music, with its deeply emotional vocal style and horn arrangements and backup vocals mimicking the call and response of the church

The mid-to-late 1960s was the heyday of southern soul, but unfortunately the flowering was brief, and as the 70s progressed it was almost completely drummed out by the sounds of disco, pop and a more highly produced northern' soul sound.

The gospel scene continued to flourish throughout the 1970s in churches and programs throughout the south and northern industrial cities of the USA. The sound of gospel had also changed, and an important influence was now the very soul music that it had spawned. Here The Showfa takes two gospel gems and re-edits them for the dance floor. First up Edwin Hawkins the grand pappy of gospel famous for his 60's hit ' Oh Happy Day' gets to reworks Emmanuel' performed live by Tri-State Choir live, a rarity never release before on wax, this is a hands in the air anthem that builds and builds and with a wait for it drum break which ignites D.J Sets. On the flip the Rev Isaac Whittmon covers the D.J Rogers classic 'Love brought Me Back' a gospel soul slow jam burner an infectious extended groove - Hallelujah.

This stand-out new production talent has already, across only a handful of releases (As Lodger on the Stamp label & under his own name on Karakul & Blind Jacks Journey) made quite a name for himself ! A-Z is a new platform for his distinctive and eclectic output After sharing a stage at Shambala festival, Al was impressed by the 7 piece Sheffield group Hot Diamond Aces, who sent the crowd into a dancing frenzy with their bombastic brass licks and Afro-beat inspired rhythms.
So impressed in fact, that he approached them afterwards with the idea of doing a remix and starting a label. The reworked version of 'DSOMC' is a certified corker that has already been tearing up dancefloors.For the flip, things get deeper with an unashamedly happy House jam 'Raiz', which features some twinkling keys from Sleepsang.

Sau Poler finished a new EP. Titled 'Memorabilia', the Catalan producer offers 5 new tracks with his typical crossover
house / electronica / disco sound. The best moments on Memorabilia come when Poler leans towards his iconic mix of classic
instrumentation by his Fender Rhodes and arpeggiator synth lines of his Arp Odyssey.
"Memorabilia" is like a link between past and present", Poler explains. "The result of this project is a transition that remains
back and forth during the creation of it. Unintentionally, i've been influenced for what i've done with my old project Pablie and for
the nowadays electronic incursions that Sau Poler is taking me on. I've start to experiment more and more with electronic
sounds, and feeling really excited about that. It's the reason I've decided to invest on new equipment,
aiming to work on longer song structures that can lay on different spots during the track length.
"Jaffe House", "Esperits" or "Gone" are a good example of that."
Sau Poler is one of the artists of the Golden Age of Spanish producers, flying the flag for the country together with guys
such as Pional, John Talabot and Marc Pinol. The Badalona-born musician toured Amsterdam, New York, Barcelona, Montreal,
Paris, Berlin and Calgary in 2015. Boiler Room invited him to play at the Generator show in Barcelona, he remixed Touch
Sensitive for the Australian label Future Classic and also Sonar Copenhagen & Transmusicales invited him to play his live set.

Next up on Nang we are pleased to bring a really positive 3 year association with West Country, UK based collective Situation to a fruitful crescendo. After 4 singles, numerous remixes and a couple of Beach Disco mixes we are extremely proud to present the sister release "Revisions" to the debut album from Situation "Visions". This vinyl release features the remix highlights of the Situation album and some brand new exclusive remixes to boot.

Situation is live, DJ and studio collective made up of the core members Ben Vacara, Mr Mulatto, Dom Thompson, James Payne & Paul Walker, with Vocalists Lauren Rimell & Andre Espeut(Defected & Fools gold records). The crew got together in 2008 through a shared love of house, disco, funk & soul music. Based in & around Stroud & Bristol in the UK, the crew released their first Edit based single on Disco Deviance with huge support from DJ's including Greg Wilson, who featured their edits on a Radio One essential mix & Resident Advisor mixes. Their Edit "Pushin' On" which was a rework of an Alice Russel/Quantic track got snapped up by Tru Thoughts & released as an official remix. They then formed their own "Situation" label in 2009 with a string of successful edits, establishing themselves strongly within the worldwide edit scene, which they still continue with. They have now gone on to write more & more original compositions (as well as edits) & so in 2012 formed their new label "Situationism" which concentrates on original compositions & compilations from themselves & other established & up & coming artists.

Proceedings open up with the big nu-disco grooves of "Get To Know Me" with UK based Hot Toddy on the remix. Driving bass guitar and bags of dance floor sass. Next is the hypnotic oscillating groove of "Barcelona" with Psychemagik working their synth big room groove. Keeping the remix groove high and UK based next up is Wolverhampton based Peza with his pulsating synth bass lines working themselves into "Standing Here Baby".

Next up on side B is some ubercool Nordic Russian beats with 5 Reasons on the melodic and sweeping remix of "Stay With Me". "Secret Situation" gets a big room dance re-rub from Pete Herbert next before South American Phunktastike takes on "Stay With Me" with big room aplomb. The grooves are bold, strong and incessant. Sportloto put their Russian spin on "Here Comes The Sun" adding layers of leftfield synth quirk to the jazzy guitar and lazy summer vocal.

Vampire Disco strip back the beats on "Standing Here Baby" turning in an offbeat twister. Next up UK based French man Jerry Bouthier teams up with Italian studio partner Andrea Gorgenio to deliver the pop house groove of "Like A Medicine". Bitter Suite turn in their remix of "Visions" with their 80s funk inspired Bitter Suite Re-rub.

"Good Life" receives a slo-mo synth strip down from Siberian based Acos Coolkas. Their trademark Rhodes and bleepy synth taking a centre stage appearance. To round things off "Work It Trough" gets an album closing stripped down night-time remix.

The Situation "Revisions" remixed version is also released with its sister album "Visions" which features the original versions of all these fine remixed tracks.
