This EP is going to be something so exciting for the Mr Disc and real
italo-disco purist.

Digging the huge label's warehouse it happened that old tapes were
found. Songs written and recorded in the early '80s and never produced or released before. Until today.

It comes that the tunes included in this EP are some of those and the
Maxero project finally sees the light.

"Silenced By You" and "Melancholy Cowboy" reveal their pure italo-disco roots and are re-arranged to spin on clubs and have a privileged place on collector's shelves.

Maxero is pressed on limited edition vinyl and ready to be released on
December 10.

"Silenced By You" is a massive neon-lit stomping synth-filled jam
remixed by "nu italo-disco" sensation Mind Enterprises. Brothers in
Laws instead provide a mystical rendition of the tune.

On the flipside, "Melancholy Cowboy" is the perfect cosmic seductive
retro-future lick ready for an inspiring car trip in the middle of
nowhere, crafted by Brother In Lows and Flavia Lazzarini who deliver two different sides of such a romantic vision.

"This limited release is a collaboration between Monkey Timers DISKO KLUBB and a Japanese record label from Amsterdam trusted by fans & artists around the world, Sound Of Vast.

Monkey Timers are gaining support in Japan and abroad as a DJ / production unit that is pioneering the next phase of the Japanese new house and disco dub music scene. They will be releasing their long-awaited full-length album ‘KLUBB LONELY’ in collaboration with DISKO KLUBB and Sound Of Vast as a 2LP set limited to 500 copies worldwide.

The album will be packed with collaborations with vocalists / producers / musicians from Japan and abroad including a cover of Dusty Springfield's ‘That's The Kind Of Love I've Got for You’ featuring Lisa Tomlins, who is known for her vocals on Lord Echo and Recloose albums. Also featuring are Berlin-based Mr. Ties; Keith Sano, a promising talent from Okayama who is gaining international attention; MIRRROR, an up-and-coming Japanese-American hip-hop unit; DJ Sammo Hung Kam-Bo (Omoide Baka Yarou ATeam); Marimba player Mami Tsunodou, who is a supporting member of cero, KIRINJI, etc. and many more.

The debut EP from long time DJ on the London disco & house circuit Soundsmith, drawing inspiration from far and wide and showcasing some of the most infectious grooves he’s come across over the years. These four tropical heaters are made for adding a hit of spice to any blend.

Opening up the EP, ‘Keep Moving’, revolves around a truly epic vocal line conjuring up feelings of late ‘70s discotheques with a modern interpretation. ‘Aye Oh’ turns the heat up with a Latin-inspired funk filled beat, complete with chanting vocals. A thumping beat keeps the momentum up through to the end.

Flip it over for ‘Disco Dancer’ a straight up dancefloor heater, channeling the sounds of Bollywood disco - an underrated source of musical joy.

Finally, ‘Rise Again’ closes out proceedings, an afro-funk inspired cut, this track came out of a series of studio sessions during a long and cold winter. Dubbed out vocals layered over ‘80s style synth lines are intertwined with melancholy breakdowns.

Our friends in the East bring you a sophisticated 80s floaty disco soul edit on the A side, dance-floor fire and extended hooks all the way, things get special later into the track. On the flip we have an edit from a man up north who knows all about rhythm. This Edit has been doing the rounds for a few years on the DL with those in the know, dance-floor fire! 300 only.

Obviously to attempt a cover of classic only works if you go down a different route with the track, the idea came from talking good lovers covers with friends, much to my surprise there was no 'Date With The Rain' cover which felt like it would have been perfect (someone please correct me and send me a copy if there is one). I had been chatting to lovers legend Peter Hunnigale often during the making of 'For The Love Of You' compilation and asked him if he would be up for doing a vocal on a cover, and he said yes, so we got to work, hope you like the result.

Fred P makes a rare endeavour into the realm of covers with an ambitious project. With "Unofficial Covers Interpretations" Fred P reinterprets and reconstructs music by Return To Forever, Weather Report and Chick Corea. This very limited vinyl-only release is a reimagining of three of Fred P's favourites, each adapted for the dance floor, from his personal point of view. One of a kind as this is a rare step into the area known as cover music.

Timely re issue of an Arthur Russell classic on West End Records that puts his unique avant-garde spin on disco. The success of this track led to Larry Levan remixing the song for club play at Paradise Garage. The song has been remastered from original analog tape for 2014 and repressed in conjunction with the rights holders, BMG.

Vinyl only edit label HODSTASH is back with three anonymous cuts geared for the dancefloor.

In March 2020 Elton was forced to pause his record breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour due to the unfolding COVID pandemic. As the world began to shut down, different projects presented themselves with artists Elton had enjoyed getting to know through his Apple Music show Rocket Hour. This was the beginning of one of Elton's boldest and most interesting records to date that he has billed ‘The Lockdown Sessions’. This album saw Elton coming full circle and returning to his roots as a session musician. While it was no easy feat recording during a pandemic, a completely new way of working for Elton, he leaned into the challenge with some magnificent results.

Kicking off with current single ‘Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)’with Dua Lipa, the album takes the listener on a heady journey through many different genres, all held together with expert finesse and understanding by one of the greatest champions of music of our time. Much more than a mere collaboration album, ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ is a dazzlingly diverse collection of 16 tracks with 10 brand new unreleased tracks that celebrates togetherness and sees Elton collaborating with an unparalleled range of artists only he could draw together. The enduring influence of his musical milestone with one of the most ambitious projects ever conceived. An unprecedented 20+ artists feature spanning an unbelievably vast range of genres, generations, cultures, continents and more, each contributing a unique style to the album that is sure to hold its place amongst one of pop and rock’s greatest songbooks. ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ sees Elton collaborate with GRAMMY Award winning producer Andrew Watt on five of the tracks.

In Elton’s words: “The last thing I expected to do during lockdown was make an album. But, as the pandemic went on, one‐off projects kept cropping up. Some of the recording sessions had to be done remotely, via Zoom, which I’d obviously never done before. Some of the sessions were recorded under very stringent safety regulations: working with another artist, but separated by glass screens. But all the tracks I worked on were really interesting and diverse, stuff that was completely different to anything I’m known for, stuff that took me out of my comfort zone into completely new territory. And I realised there was something weirdly familiar about working like this. At the start of my career, in the late 60s, I worked as a session musician. Working with different artists during lockdown reminded me of that. I’d come full circle: I was a session musician again. And it was still a blast.”

Roisin Murphy delivers a solo sonic bomb for Crosstown Rebels.

‘Jealousy’ is recorded especially for Crosstown Rebels and additional to Roisin's forthcoming album. This is an unashamed slice of dance-floor hedonism from the acclaimed singer, featuring Roisin’s compelling vocals in both a house and disco workout.

Co-written and produced by the great-unsung modern day house hero, The Crooked Man AKA DJ Parrot, formally of Sweet Exorcist (Warp) and All Seeing I amongst many other aliases, he has been a bastion of the Sheffield sound since the late '80's. The single is also mixed by the legendary Eric Kupper, who was a production partner with Frankie Knuckles and Dave Morales and whose K-Scope releases were a staple of 90's American NY House.

"Parrot understands dancing music and he understands me. This is fast and furious; he says it's roller-disco music. The backing track sounded so frantic, the lyric wasn't long coming to me, all I had to do was try to create a vocal as demented as the music!" Roisin Murphy

Murphy has become one of the most competent, enduring and influential figures in the pop, disco and electronic music worlds. The Irish singer-songwriter originally broke into the charts as the front woman for Moloko, delivering music that was leftfield electronic and pop-orientated.
