Celebrating the forth coming Hard Times CD compilation, the label dig deep into the vaults to re-release two monster tracks by Roger Sanchez & Todd Terry re-mastered & reissued on a quality pressing for 2017.

Emilie Nana marks a strong return to Compost Records with a heavenly remix package for her latest offering on the label - I Rise - contributed by one of dance music's most respected and acclaimed figures - the mighty François K.

I Rise is the reflection of Emilie Nana's hatching and metamorphosis. With this record she makes us to witness her transformation from a state of chrysalide to butterfly. I Rise is the synonym for self assertion, as a determined african black woman and an ode to inspiring women, throwing in their energy in order to transform themselves.

Emilie Nana will bring you up! Her levitating voice, almost whispered, will overwhelm you. She will bewitch you like a great priestess whereas the musical backing is deep, hypnotic and steady tones. I Rise is a denunciation, Emilie Nana claims! It is not only about a meditation but truly well a declamation. She clearly address to the oppressor. She speaks whit great assurance! She answers to decades of mistreatment. She is a black woman who's expressing herself proudly. A strongly personal music!

After Danny Krivit, who came up with the now classic re-edits for the initial release of I Rise, it's now fellow New Yorker and Body & Soul compagnon François K who's sharing this strong sentiment. Like with Danny Krivit, the opportunity to working with a personality that gathers all ethnic origins together throughout his career and life like François Kevorkian - a living legend, whose production- and remix works for countless artists are beyond classics and covering a timeframe of more than four decades - is a big honour for Emilie Nana and of course for Compost Records in either way. Kevorkian's role as a mastermind in NYC nightlife is untouchable and the fact that he's still sharing his knowledge and forward thinking attitude towards dance music, keeps him going strong at the forefront of the international dance music scene. We feel happy and blessed to release François Kevorkian's masterclass remix works of I Rise. Three different versions to play with - all brilliant and very special in his inimitable manner!

X-Ray records' catalogue is as under the radar as it is rich and ahead of its time. Releasing between 1992 and 1994, most of the label's outputs were produced by Raymond Castoldi. Although people primarily know Castoldi for being the music director and organist in Madison Square Garden, he also has a lesser known chapter of his life. In the early 1990s, Raymond released 6 EPs on his imprint X-Ray Records. By coupling his musical education with a four-on-the-floor club pattern, Castoldi managed to create a jazzy vibe with spaceous sounds and keyboard jams, all coalescing into a relaxing atmosphere that would eventually become the signature sound of 90's deep house.In partnership with Castoldi, Kalahari Oyster Cult delivers the goods once again: 11 tracks from the X-Ray catalogue over a 3LP for your deejaying pleasure.

C Da Afro continues his prolific run through 2020 with another killer EP of disco edit goodness, and this time it's for the consistently excellent Cardiology label. No doubt you're already tuning in with high expectations about the calibre of party fodder on offer, and "Hustle" sets the tone pitch-perfect from the get-go. There's a fine balance between disco, boogie and house achieved here, whereas "Hold Up" takes a more purist disco approach (with Philly strings thrown in for good measure). "Disco Version" piles the funk on heavy before "Big Fantasy" rounds things out with some scintillating carnival energy, pushing the party-ready capabilities of this 12" even further.

RAKIJA004 brings four brand new retouches, each different in their own style and approach. The release kicks off with 2 dancefloor adapted tracks, skillfully blending a variety of influences into modern house music. On the flip side, the vibe feels much more mellow and warm - as if the tracks are tuned for an afterparty or a more leisured setting.

REPRESS ALERT! Best Record Italy take the time machine all the way back to 1979 to revisit the wonderful Italo-Disco delights of Adolf Stern, whose "More... I Like It" represents the strangest end of the genre as it was taking shape. With heavily processed vocals injecting some serious strangeness into the chirpy disco backdrop, it's the kind of track to turn heads without a doubt. "Twenty Seven" on the B-side is equally magical in its capturing of the era, with the more obvious surface elements underpinned by a truly intoxicating line in synth arpeggios. Once again Best comes up trumps refreshing the history of Italian music of all shapes and sizes.

Lagoon is the protagonist of the ninth release of the Spanish label Several Roots, a collective of national artists that aims to roll out native talent and of which they are co-founders together with other travelling companions. Alta Ley is formed by three original tracks and three remixes by Músculo!, Jackwasfaster and Adhesive. This EP is the third work by the Galician duo and the first vinyl release by Several Roots. Electronics that, far from being linked to any specific style, offers a musical variety that goes from downtempo to breaks, including space disco or IDM.
