Savor’s 2021 first release has the Uruguayan wonder girl, Ema Remedi. On this EP she provides us to 2 tracks with her signature sound. ‘Virazon’ is one of her biggest tracks up to date and definitely a dancefloor smasher, while ‘Nothing Tolouse’ is a subtle and hypnotic roller. On remix duties we have Voigtmann, who reworked ‘Virazon’ adding his typical eerie touch while maintaining the dancefloor energy intact.

Not to rest on their debut’s laurels DFR02 is just as hot pairing up Rome’s Massimo Berardi and Mexico’s The Funk District who both turn in stellar edits. Hot out of the blocks Massimo goes to town on The Truckin' Company’s ‘Got The Feeling’ the result is a deep and hypnotic yet thoroughly funky mid set smash, a track which will lock the dancefloor in to perfection. Combining a huge vocal chorus with some brilliantly hooky synths this is a track that will see Shazam called into regular use. Over on the flip The Funk District in top form on the edit of Izk Eyes. Titled ‘Ton of Groove’ this might be one of the most apt song names of the year so far. Huge brass, monster vocal, ass shakin’ guitar it’s should have peak time etched next to the track name on the label.

Iranian artists matter!

DeepnosiS’ very first release has been developed by the Sardinian producer Hubble that, with his intriguing sounds and personality, purely represents the essence of the label. The EP opens up with a journey outside the borders of reality where “Antidote” recreates an engaging soundscape of surprises. Side B continues with slower rhythms introducing “Samply Perc” a trippy and almost palpable track. Finally, deep atmosphere pads in “Ozone” flow into a progressive ride of percussions developing into a downtempo techno concept.

Curtea Veche's LTD series is back with this sublime EP by Wareika's Jakob Seidensticker, Minibar's George Boronas and Shyam Anand, known collectively as Mothership. 4 mesmerizing tracks which all have their time and place, One of our favourite Ep's to date here at curtea veche, The Ep is finished off with stunning artwork by Halo Varga @ Authentic paper

A thirst for all things alien encompasses the philosophy behind Sex Tapes From Mars - a brand-new vinyl-only imprint demanding humans to take them to their leader. So, two questions: who’s helming the record stores, and what message are they trying to deliver? For their inaugural release, the label beams down a VA from three impeccable rising stars intent on supplying some much-needed freakishness to Earth.

Nemo Vachez sets the bearings for outer space with ‘Overload (Interstellar Rave Mix)’ – a sulking electro and acid intro that rambles with all the madness of a spaceship determined to veer off-course. It’s imaginatively paced, with scorning breakdowns and a lethal sense of some threat sitting on the horizon.

Muelsa loads up a biological weapon of warfare with ‘A Message’, aptly named largely for its ruthless electro lines and a drawling voice asking for the answer to an age-old dilemma: “Please tell me it’s aliens? Maybe they’ve got rhythm too”.

The signal glitches to Hubz for the close. ‘Fly By The Comets’ reverberates with great waves of synths before lunging into the first of two menacing drops, riffing and warring against some unseen force before exterminating the target.

Wherever this UFO’s destination is set, all eyes are clearly watching. Sex Tapes From Mars delivers emotionally ambiguous cinematics for the dancefloor, so space helmets on and buckle in for the ride – the thrill is what makes it fun.

Seattle vinyl imprint Rhizome Records presses its second release: Mithra AM. Longtime Seattle favorite Summit Dub provides the title track “Mithra AM” with side B featuring two remixes via our Romanian friends. Cosmin Năstasă aka Cosmjn and BRYZ are two of the brightest talents in Romanian minimal, each offering an intriguing take on “Mithra AM”.

“Mithra AM” on side A patiently gathers steam, generating tension alongside an alluring vocal that calls out to ethereal morning hours. As the atmosphere expands in the second half of the track warmth arrives in lush waves.

Cosmjn’s remix is up first on side B of the EP, picking up the pace and dipping into afterhours moods. Enveloping bass suspends lingering threads of the side A original while an acid melody charges into new territory.

Side B closes out with BRYZ’s remix which lightens the mood and adds a playful bounce and mysterious flashes of tribal sounds. BRYZ’s treatment caps a versatile EP designed to captivate exploratory dance spaces.

KONTENT continues its impressive run of vinyl releases, as it welcomes a slew of rising Romanian producers to its new VA.
Featuring the compelling sounds of Chivru, Hippex (Hipp and Alex Ungureanu), Kiva & Sonohat, KONTENT showcases the depth of talent on offer in Romania’s underground circles. Opening with the dulcet tones of Chivru’s ’Heyday Of Youth’, the Ep traverses an eclectic and altogether groovy sonic aesthetic. Continuing with the sexy, baseline laden ’Drowning By The Light’ by Hippex things escalate as we soar onwards and into Kivva’s dreamy cut ‘1st Century, landing firmly in the grip of Sonohat’s gritty, melancholic cut ‘Modelar. Another firm and fitting statement for KONTENT, as the label proves the talent isn’t just at the top

Positive Not Happy debuts with label owners The Lumens, djs and production duo behind Milan’s most exciting underground events such as Phoenix Room, Pennyroyal After Tea and Electronic Barbecue.
Positive Not Happy is also an effective description of the label style, a blend of house, techno, electro and acid elements mixed in a high energy club voyage, tinged with psychedelic influences. That’s why we say Positive Not Happy is “Home Of Psycho House”. In line with the original tracks, Stephan Bazbaz delivers a “game changing” slamming remix, in which he mixes goa-trance elements with a powerful straight house beat. Thomas A.S. on the flip side complete the line-up with a lush, cool and deeper groove interpretation.

Subtil celebrates their 20th release with the industrious Romanian artist Direkt. His Path of Most Resistance EP contains three fresh, snazzy, minimal tunes beginning with the entrancing, dark trip of A-Side “Past Present” to the mesmerizing “Path of Most Resistance” on the flip. And for the finale he brings “Vitamin”, which fascinates through its determined minimalism.

Now time and space are right to open a new chapter with the own vinyl-only label. We hooked up with Ricardo Villalobos and concluded that it is time to release the beast called Mecker after 14 years of maturing. The track appeared first time in 2007 on the famous Fabric 36 Mix CD.

The cover-artwork is done by our fabulous Juli Jah which gives the release its special touch.

Samuel L Session combines driving percussion, dense atmosphere and warm funkiness like no other. Milligramme feels blessed, releasing four tracks, which have a discreet dub touch as well. Samuel remains true to himself, of course, but this unique sub tone of Scanners EP is indeed a little revolution. The tracks range from elegant soundscapes to driving floor fillers. An EP, which deserves to be called an EP.

First release brought to you by the beLow collective, BELOW001 is a fresh cocktail of spicy house cuts. On this hand stamped piece of wax, each artist brings its own angle on House music, ranging from a hot and funky disco edit to a 135bpm jam oscillating between garage and west-coast leads. In between, you will find some serious deepness and power supported by spatial stabs, killer grooves, and lush vocals.

This deep and energy-packed release will fit pool parties as much as sweaty nightclubs, while enabling a serious living-room dance-off. Don’t sleep!

Another obscure interpret has appeared

Russian musician Low Tape debut on Luck of Access with three electro influenced tracks.

in this second edition the beat of the street deliver to us a a beautiful gem that you cant miss in your bag composed of five argentine artists with lot of love to the world .

We kick things off on the A-side with Rowlanz. The track is called Colours which transcends into the music itself. From the get go there is a perfect arrangement of layers. The tribal and progressive nature of the synths, accompanied with bird like pads takes us deep through the Jungle into an unknown land. The breakdown is truly hypnotic. You get completely lost turning off from the world around you. It’s safe to say this is some of our favourite work from Rowlanz to date as the artist stays true to form.



Bucharest’s Direkt’s follows on the A2. This is a track that instantly grabs your attention with a definitive thunderous kick coupled with a dubby raw bassline. Dark and mysterious pads and harmonic stabs lend to the track brilliantly. Layer and upon layer unfolds. It is the sort of track which will be completely transformed when played on a big system taking on a new entity and meaning.



On the B-side Sublee, an artist who needs very little introduction. With recent releases on Rowle, RE.FACE and Baumbaum Label. His ability to experiment and play with sounds is really something to behold. Simpa has got a bomb written all over it from the off as the track explodes with deep driving kicks and a hypnotic grooving bassline. The track twists and turns as new elements are introduced with the skipping hats and percussion to keep the energy.



Last but certainly not least Vern steps up the plate bringing a more relaxed feel to the close of the EP. Pads and synths paint a picture of wondrous temples of ancient lands. Skipping hats coupled with a mellow continuous bassline keeps you moving. Intricate wind pipes, chimes and strings can be heard throughout to create moments of peace. It’s very easy to get lost in absolute contentment.
