After one year, TOM ALMEX returns with a new vinyl. On these release are four new techno tracks with a lot of new fresh dark grooves and vocals.
On the A side are the tracks PAIN, a little melodic dancefloor killer and SHARDS, the deep experimental track with mystic aura.
On the B side are the tracks VIOLENCE, a melodic techno track for everyday and HYPNOSIS, the counterpart to SHARDS.

Now living in Warsaw, Donnell Knox was well known, along with Black Nation's Jay Denham for forging a tough, distinct Kalamazoo techno sound in the 90s. His label, Sonic Mind, put out some very coveted, underground wax that still sounds unique, extra rugged, and fresh. Well D-Knox is now on a bit of a comeback mission it seems, with some really inspiring new material, and 'Africa Calling'. The first version, created to Donnell's much loved 'Spirit Man' alias, is a soulful trek through layers of pads and emotive synth work. The simple, but uplifting, vocal snippet really gives it an organic and spiritual feel, the tempo is driving and quick, but the overall vibe is laid back and deep.
Remixes come from the likes of Brooklyn based Titonton Duvante, who maximizes a synth pattern to a form a beautiful, reaching, version, while Canada'a Rennie Foster channels his Futago Traxx style to present a full on tribal, drum based mix with added vocal pieces. Also, Detroit transplant, now living in Canada as well, J Garrett goes in with a very emotional, warm, string laden take. The EP is capped off with another version from Donnell that could stand as it's own track really, a totally different, but equally as strong, version featuring a driving baseline and Detroit style string vamps.

Dreiklang Records set sail in February 2016 with the excellent First Contact EP which featured OCH, Hydergine and Kelovolt, three singular artists each handing in their own contrasting take on the same source material. The Berlin-based vinyl-only label now returns with the same concept for the Loop Continue EP. For their second release Dreiklang call upon three strong figures of the techno scene, each displaying a highly distinct voice in keeping with the triangular concept of the label: Scottish veteran Edit Select and Italian purveyors of everything dark and deep, Dino Sabatini and Claudio PRC. The three tracker kicks off with the deep sub-aquatic sounds of Tony Scott aka Edit Select, who produces the original version of Loop Continue, an introspective DJ tool. The Scottish producer goes straight to the point from the very start with a dusky loop that is slowly overcome by a glistening, luxuriant drone. Claudio PRC hands in a stunning rework. A hypnotizing bass drives the track forward while tranquil chords ease in and out of focus. Finally, Dino Sabatini, a regular collaborator of Edit Select, drops in fresh from the release of his Omonimo LP. The Outis Music boss closes the EP on a dreamy piece of broken-beat where beautiful glowing drones command attention. Loop Continue is set for vinyl-only release June 14th on Dreiklang. The records will come as a 180g vinyl with handmade covers by Nils Atland, limited to 500 pieces.

Hedonism is an ethical theory that pleasure, in a sense of satisfaction of desires, is the highest good and proper aim of human life, and this seems to also be HDNSM's ultimate musical objective. Their first release debuted as a kickstarter of Variant EP' V.A. series, showcasing three very different yet highly contemplative creations from Cumsecade, Anestie Gomez and Man Spider.

HDNSM flips the coin and for the second episode of Variant' series it lands on two very solid, incredibly moody and extensive works from fresh talents Shcaa and Cleymoore. The EP features two very different tracks yet they share the same minimalistic core. Both works are blessed with intricate micro-drum arrangements for those feeling groove hungry whilst still standing tall in the experimental abstract realm pleasing those who crave unusual frequencies.

A-side's Masquée' is one of Shcaa's typical rides between sound and silence and it is hard to find another artist who understands sound gaps between grooves better than Shcaa does. With his signature vocals and an incredibly delicious duality between acoustic instrumentalism and electronic slamming, this is a groovy, highly deep, very intelligently arranged piece.

The flip-side Nebula', signed by Pluie/Noir's boss Cleymoore, is a tip of an iceberg when it comes to the art of stripping down. In an apparently thin canvas of minimal drum arrangements there's a vast amount of sound frequencies underneath a steady ever-kicking groove, tricking your mind into thinking that you're hearing less than you actually perceive. Nebula is hypnotic and dense but focused and sophisticatedly groovy. Like the repetitive vocals you'll hear throughout the B-side, this V.A. sticks to your mind like an addiction of some sort and pushes HDNSM to a new standard of avant-garde and forward-thinking attitude.

As before, this vinyl only release comes in a gorgeous cover featuring a painting from Max Binski and the number of copies available is limited.

Following the launch of Prospector, a unique live-label concept, Pit Spector is back with release 02, this time partnering up with the charismatic Dutchman San Proper.

Coining a new concept that pulls together production and performance, 2014 saw Pit Spector throw a series of Prospector parties, each time inviting a guest artist to his studio to work on an exclusive live show for the club, as well as new music for the label. Back in January 2015 Pit and San Proper got together for a string of night-time jam sessions, and now they release the fruits of their labour.

An EP that demonstrates the duo's diversity and freedom in the studio, the mood shifts significantly across the four tracks. 'Pitbull Propercat' instantly grabs your attention, a raw and dancey number full of bounce and animalistic growls - a fitting vocal for San who's previously been dubbed 'The Animal' following a vivacious feline-impersonating DJ performance. Moving unexpectedly but pleasingly down-tempo, 'Sleepwalk Your Sexdreams' takes you on a journey into the night, transcending reality and into the wanderings of the mind... tranquil, mesmerizing, lustful. Flip over for a hard hit of House, or Street House if you will, 'Time 2 Rumble' motivates the body with an undeniable Hip Hop influence. Rounding off with a leap outside the box and a positively psychedelic Pop sound, 'Vaporize' oozes Rock N Rock glamour with deep guitar strums and a fabulously sexy vocal once again from San. Truly testament of the pair's synergy in the studio and confidence to experiment in their productions.

Once again the vinyl includes the corresponding Prospector party poster - original artwork by street art legend O'clock of the New York 156 graffiti crew, who, inspired by the energy of 80s block parties, offers a raw and colourful manifestation of the music.

Hello! Barnbarn means"grand child" in Swedish and is a sub-label to Studio Barnhus where i will be putting out mostly my own music, apart from my usual engagement in the mother label. It will be a vinyl only affair and always designed by Robin Ekemark, the genius childhood friend of mine that did so many artworks for me in the past. Hope you will enjoy it!
