Not So Secret Diary founded by Laurine Frost in 2012. The label is based on works of high-qualified international underground musicians and it works like a personal diary. All of these releases will try to express the special relationship, to describe the personal connection and the common influences between the label's owner and the artist in a kind of historical way. The label follows a serious musical conception on borders of techno, instrumental music, field recordings, experimentals and live recordings, affected by folk and jazz - giving the chance for all of these artists to express their musical creativity without making compromises." i met Andrey in Moscow, February 2011. We did not know eachother before. I got an invite to Nervmusic Night and he played his brilliant warm up set before me, with full of gentle and dub-filled, sweet and slow techno tracks. I listened him from the corner of the club. First time i was just really amazed by the quality of selection and afterwards somebody told me that few of those tracks were his own materials and i was really shocked. It was an instant friendship based on mutual respect to eachother. ... Some weeks later Andrey sent me several unreleased works of him and i realized that such an impressive and individual style he has in deed, more of that how precise he is in processing. His characterictic sound with the deepness of dub, endless warm basses in the contrast of the crispy experiments always amazed me, beside of that our friendship and his modest personality continously inspiring me all the time, both musically and personally meanings. The first release from Under Bron Recordings highlights a firm and direct feeling, like being seduced and sharing something personal with somebody new, the A-side showcasing a mixture of dialogue and trust. Keeping a steady house groove and pace, 'Sounds In The Grass' inspires the dust from the ceiling at your local warehouse to come down to the ground again, while 'Waiting To Exhale' turns to the conversationalists standing by the bar or on the outskirts of the dance floor. Delroy Edwards (L.I.E.S.) remix on the B-side expands the WRD horizon and brings in a different blueprint, where swirling sounds combines the track into a beautiful palette of youth and decay.

Birdsmakingmachine brings us the second instalment of their recently launched Series with another four tracker of mysterious minimal house cuts that hook the listener with their constantly building beats, evolving grooves and melodies. While 'Wild Carrots' starts off the EP with a hypnotic yet musical journey through effect-laden rhythms, 'Lost Inside' follows as a stripped down groover with eerie melodies haunting the beat playfully. On the flip we find 'Nest Rocking', a juggling piece growing with percussions and ambient pads and lastly 'Recipients', an early inspired gem with an intricately funky bassline and electric organs.

After launching Save The Blessed with 'Don't Touch The K:raal EP'-a two-track release from Francesco "Belfie" Belfiore, complete with remix from Restoration's Xenogears (aka The Analogue Cops)-comes the fledgling vinyl-only house's second instalment, which sees S.T.B. head team up with Rush Hour mainstay San Proper. For a decade San Proper has enjoyed cult status in Holland, particularly in his hometown of Amsterdam where he cut his teeth spinning eclectic sets long before taking to the studio. Production-wise, since joining the Dutch electronic institute with his 'Amsterdam Family' series back in 2007-which saw San Proper collaborate with a medley of known and unknown producers-he has continued to impress with his heady, idiosyncratic take on house and disco, formulating a recognisable live sonic signature that came to a head on his debut full length 'Animal', released last summer. 'Faulkner EP' consolidates Save The Blessed's dedication to analogue craft with an original dubbed-out house work from Francesco Belfiore, rearranged by San Proper on the B-side in token eccentric fashion with vocals and thrumming guitar-redolent bass. For sound aficionados and quirky night owls who enjoy a hefty dose of underground with their wonky, well formed house.

If you haven't heard of Jamie Anderson, chances are you are either too young to go to a club or you have been into heavy metal during the past twenty years. The amount of releases and labels that we could tie this Brit to are simply overwhelming: Cocoon, Rekids, International Deejay Gigolos, Harthouse, Dessous or his own imprint Artform to name just a few big guns. That being said: the man continues to be one of those rare figures in nightlife that stayed grounded while being praised by the likes of Derrick May and many other big players.

So, when we got to know him through a mutual friend from Ghent we were excited that he immediately came to us with a track and some ideas that resulted in this release: 1992. A vinyl only, limited-to-250-copies affair which will not be repressed. Which makes it actually even more of a special release since it's not too often that a name of Jamie's pedigree does these kinds of small-audience releases anymore.

As the title suggests: it's a track founded in the source code of Techno: 303 acid, 909 kicks and many of the oldskool sounds that shaped Techn minutes.
The second mix, aptly called Acid Tweak Mix, is one for the fans of the pure breed Acid House. Stripped down, threatening and hypnotic by repetition.
The remix on the B-side was made by someone we wanted to invite on the label for a long time: Red D, the man behind We Play House Recordings, FCL, a limited vinyl hype called "It's You", a West-Vleteren beer fan but most of all just a mate of ours for many years. Not really a surprise that he came up with a House version that kept things very simple and sounded so analogue it was protesting loudly when we had to encode it to WAV format. What we liked especially about it was that it was al kept so basic, just like the old House tracks sounded that we liked: a bassline, a few samples, a kick and a melody played there and then. Brilliant once you unleash it on a floor.

Aksutique is the moniker of Matthias Springer for his deep ambient techno, dub techno and downbeat productions. Matthias has released several productions over the years, ranging from techno to chill out music under different names. The Notch Fields EP is the first vinyl release for Aksutique and features 3 tracks of aquatic dub influenced deepness that sucks you right into its maelstrom of endless echoes, synth swirls, noises and reverberated chords. 'Echolot' for example is a pure intense submarine cinematographic infinite journey that takes you into the depths and never lets you free again. The record features an additional dark and electronic rework by Valanx aka Arne Weinberg that drenches the original in eerie voices, electronic sounds and deep bass. Not for the faint hearted.

On his first EP for Tenderpark Marquese proves to be a master of using his means. With only a few, but purposefully used elements with interesting modulations Marquese creates two lean House tracks which nonetheless feel very round and harmonious. The first release comes from the Romanian wunderkids Phrasis Veteris with The Nocturn Ep and what a treat it is. A lot of has been said about the amazing Romanian scene recently — some say it's full of hype, others think it saved dance music. We're going to refrain from making any judgments and want to just let the music speak for itself, because in the end that's what really matters!
