The final part of the SchleiBen series brings the contrast of heavyweights for a special collaborative release featuring Colin Potter (Nurse With Wound), Alessio Natalizia (Walls/Not Waving) and Guido Zen (Brain Machine), backed up on the flp by a rising name, the (another) world ambience of Cass. Emotional Response completes the SchleiBen series, bringing together the legendary Colin Potter with two of Italy's best experimental / drone / industrial producers in Alessio Natalizia and Guido Zen for a one off special recording, plus again highlighting one last Dusseldorf affiiated project, with the Osnabruck based, beautiful ambient touches of producer Niklas Rehme-Schluter aka Cass. When the idea of the split series was born, one of the aims was to get producers who have worked with the label to come together and record special pieces. However, it was not until the fial release that this fially occurred and who better in which to do this. Having seen a number of reissues come out in the last 18 months - one of which on the distant relative label, Sacred Summits, Colin Potter has brought him in to the orbit of two
artists closely associated with Emotional Response in Mr Natalizia and Mr Zen. The assimilated Parts 1 and 2 provide a perfect marriage of methods. Percussion hinting at Industial and Techno is explored, while the constant Drone inflx and disintegration grab your attention, overlapping with rhythmic repetition deeper and deeper. To end is the ambience of Cass. Taken from the limited 'Hiding Place' cassette only album, the pieces here are the perfect completion. Found sounds, loops, piano, synthesis, all intertwine and overlap to bathe you in pause, a one last time call to stop and (un)listen.

Sankt Otten's eighth album expresses a significant progression of their material on the preceding album trilogy. New drum sounds and acoustic instruments such as harmonium and piano may be found, and some pieces emerged from free improvisations, which is a completely new approach taken by this band. Shivers is the trio of Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek), Gareth Davis and Leo Fabriek, who join forces to conjure up a surreal album of parasitic intimacy and intensity. Skye Klein's Terminal Sound System is a project born in a dingy Melbourne warehouse at the turn of the century. On the more than ten past releases, TSS merged epic doom, post-rock and jazz with electronica, drum'n'bass, heavy dub and ethereal vocals into a style wholly unique. The new album 'Dust Songs', which sees its release in December 2014 on Denovali Records, ist a logical extrapolation and a surprise at the same time.

Classic/ Experimental.. Skeylja"" An invented word combining the Frisian word for Terschelling, ""Skylge"", and the Icelandic word for island,"Eyjan" Skeylja is an international multimedia project, based around the ideas of improvisational music and the coming together of musicians from different countries and musical backgrounds to create a spontaneous sonic landscape. The project started when The Alvaret Ensemble (Greg Haines, Jan & Romke Kleefstra, and Sytze Pruiksma), who you may know from their eponymous debut on Denovali in 2012, travelled to Iceland to try to find a shared music language with the Icelandic musicians Ingi Garðar Erlendsson, Kira Kira, Borgar Magnason and Eiríkur Orri Ólafsson . They were joined by the 33 1/3 Collective, a group of visual artists from the Netherlands, who began to collect footage that would later be used as source material for the visual side of the performance. Some months later, after a successful week of traveling to beautiful locations and playing music together, the group met again, this time during the Oerol festival on the island of Terschelling in the Netherlands, for a series of nine sold-out shows in an old church, all of which were being recorded. Each artist ""curated"" a rough plan for one evening, which could be anything from hand-drawn images to be interpreted musically to more precise plans of structures and combinations of musicians to be explored. Never were the notes, or the content of the music itself, discussed - this was instead left up to chance and developed through listening intently to each-other, trying to create an atmosphere where each player was vital, but where everyone always worked towards the whole. After ten intense days on the island, all that was left were the memories of the audience and, luckily, a hard-drive with over ten hours of recorded music. After everyone had had a chance to listen back to rough mixes of each night and make comments, the material was taken to Greg Haines' Electricity Works studio in Berlin, where the long process of selecting, editing and mixing began. Finally, almost two years after that first initial meeting in Reykjavik, the album is complete and ready to be released into the world. We hope you enjoy it. Over 10,000 years ago, after the last Ice Age, humans began to explore and settle the place now known as Scotland. Evidence of our ancestors can be found in the various rock carvings, standing stones, tombs and dwellings still scattered throughout the lands today. Modern archaeological techniques can offer ever more detailed suggestions as to what these monuments might have meant, but it is still largely left to our imaginations to discern just what these spaces were used for.

In this spirit, Firecracker Recordings were approached by Forestry Commission Scotland to make something that might capture the feel of these places. They assembled a crack squad of artists (Lord Of The Isles, Other Lands, House Of Traps, Wounded Knee) whom they felt would embrace the challenge, thanks to their shared interest in their own Highland ancestries.

Visiting a handful of sites in an intense period of exploration late in 2014, they took field recordings, drank whisky, jammed in the ruins of brochs, studied rock art, sat in iron age forts, drank whisky, drove for many miles and generally began the process of channelling the shamanic forces (drank whisky) whose presence can still be felt all around.

This album is the result of that brief adventure. The artists worked both together and in isolation, quickly and effortlessly, manipulating the recordings taken from the source and combining them with their own compositions, inspired by both the sights they saw in this time and those they have imagined from another.

Here, they merge modern technologies with traditional instruments and the human voice to conjure up these ancient rites of celebration, ritual, offerings to long forgotten gods, changes in the features of the earth and the universe and the cycles of time.

Accompanying the music is a booklet of archaeological images created by Forestry Commission Scotland, detailing some of the sites around which the music is based, again utilising modern laser scanning technology to see these mysterious relics in a different light.

Carsten Nicolai's practice investigates the boundaries between visual and audio art forms within an integrated artistic approach. Influenced by scientific reference systems, Nicolai often engages mathematical patterns such as grids and codes, as well as error, randomisation and self-organising structures.

Under the pseudonym noto, Nicolai experiments with sound to create his own semiotic language, and acoustic and visual symbols. Random Groove is a new interactive and physical experiment that contains no music but rather a succession of grooves, several of which cross into one another, thereby creating a variety of pathways for the needle to follow when playing, making for a personal, tactile experience.

This edition has been created in celebration of the European premiere of unicolor, a new work by Carsten Nicolai, presented by The Vinyl Factory and taking place at Brewer Street Car Park from 24 June to 2 August 2015.

unicolor examines the psychology of colour perception. Submerged in panoramic wavelengths of blue, red, green and grey that grow, evaporate and meld into one another, the viewer is confronted with an infinite, visceral expanse of colour and sound.

Crack is the new album from Shampoo Boy on Blackest Ever Black. The Vienna-based trio's second LP to date, following 2013's crushing BEB debut Licht, Crack finds Peter Rehberg (Editions Mego), Christina Nemec (comfortzone) and Christian Schachinger leaving behind the post-everything in search of their very own neo-something: a powerful alloy of extreme electroacoustic music, luminous ambience and the mineral fundaments of rock and black metal. As before, they're staring down the void, but this time they're looking beyond it, too, for the fissures and faultlines that might let some light in.Opener 'Spalt' immediately signals a departure from the monolithic doom of Licht, conveying instead a sense of adrenalised movement, of acceleration towards an ever-receding horizon. There is no percussion, yet Nemec's chasmic bass and Rehberg's protean electronics eddy and modulate to give rise to an unstoppable momentum. 'Spalt' becomes a peculiarly wracked Autobahn chase, one where you're uncertain if you're the pursuer or the pursued. There seems to be some promise of escape in Schachinger's highly lyrical, spiralling guitar improvisations, which nod to Fripp and Goettsching, but Shampoo Boy's vision of the cosmos is more hard-boiled and unforgiving than that of their forefathers. There are some furies that can't be outrun. If 'Spalt' dramatises a failed getaway then 'Riss' considers what happens if you do get away, only to find your hiding-place isn't quite as safe or secure as you had presumed it would be. Slow, ceremonial downstrokes suggest a return to the vast and uncanny woodland landscape in which the events of Licht unfolded. This time, though, the city intrudes upon the scene of pastoral unease: Rehberg seems to be scanning the airwaves, picking up unintelligible snatches of conversation and machine noise. These mingle with nameless natural currents to create pernicious hybrid forms, which curl and ricochet about the stereo field. Subterranean bass tones, meanwhile, seem to reverberate from an ancient and appalling source. The accumulation of noise and energy across 12 minutes becomes unbearably suspenseful; a reckoning seems inevitable. It is typical of Crack's unorthodox Weltanschauung, however, that just when we think the game is up, we are faced not with oblivion but with potential absolution: 'Riss''s closing section is a gravely serene tone-painting that clearly suggests the possibility, if not certainty, of rebirth and renewal. Perhaps you can start again after all. But of course the game isn't up, and all roads lead to Side B: given in its entirety to the three-part 'Bruch', the most potent and pugilistic manifestation of Shampoo Boy's brute psychedelia to date. Part 1 is a near-gothic assemblage of tortured computer processing, abyssal drones and stray industrial noise. This gives way to the calm but agonised concrète of Part 2; sparse, minimalist and dub-damaged, it's the sound of Part 1's traumas remembered through a fog of painkillers. Before long, however, the medication falters and those traumas come back in to focus: so much so, that the broiling digital synthesis and annihilating slow-motion riffage of Part 3 come as a relief. For a while the thuggish monochord attack here feels almost Stooge-ian - grungy, swaggering, sewer-savvy - but it doubles back into abstraction, subsuming itself into the Shampoo Boy's larger, gravity-defying architectures of feedback. By this point it has become impossible to distinguish individual instruments, processes or contributions; the group mind has taken over, the third eye is on fire, and the album climaxes in a black flash of negative ecstasy. Epic in scale, complex in mood and dazzling in technique, Crack is a momentous achievement from three improvising musicians at the height of their powers. A lived-in and emotionally-charged work, harrowing but energising, it digs deep, deep into the underworld to open up new lines of space-time enquiry. It is also a sustained achievement of arrangement and post-production remarkable even in light of its makers' pedigree: the harshest and heaviest passages are rendered with a sense of space and richness of detail that is truly otherworldly. Russell Haswell's astute mastering amplifies this, resulting in one of the most exhilarating and rewarding entries in the Blackest Ever Black catalogue. Though known as a touring and recording musician associated with Nine Inch Nails, Alessandro Cortini has really come into his own via his Forse trilogy, and his 2014 Hospital Productions debut, Sonno.

For his Hospital follow-up, he maintains the grittiness and intimacy introduced on his
debut, but expands on it, offering a wider spectrum of emotion and depth.

Like Sonno, Risveglio was written and recorded while on tour. The drive to create intimate works during late-night downtime reveal Cortini to be committed to personal vision beyond the call of duty. While Sonno was created using only a 202 and delay, Risveglio adds a TB303, synced to the 202. In his own words, The 303 can be such a haunting instrument used in a certain way, and I felt it completely fit the mood of the previous work I have done on the 202, especially when given a specific location in space....it's such a living instrument.'

The addition of TR606 gives one of the pieces a rhythmic pulse that separates it from the preceding synthscapes and renders Risveglio altogether a more dynamic affair than Sonno.

With Risveglio Cortini emphasizes the imperfections and visceral textures of electronics absent from so much contemporary solo synthesizer music. He carves out a similar space to that formed by Kevin Drumm's releases for the same label in the worlds of Drone and Noise by finding the emotional and, ultimately, human voice within synthesis.

Klaus grinds his measly output of previous years into the dust, delivering a staggering 18 minutes of music for 2014.

Alongside fellow members of Berlin's Janus collective, recently behind nights at
Berghain and Corsica Studios, M.E.S.H. is known for his futurist approach to club
dynamics and production.

On Piteous Gate, tightly gridded and sculpted sound juts up against loose-wristed
improvisation, automated processes, and collage. Standard club syncopation is twisted by sliding tempos, cut and paste time signatures, and indeterminate pacing. Its sound design and compositions are ornate, even courtly, with neo- feudal moods offset by the recurrence of hydraulic hiss and flanger.

A synthetic fuel injector revs opener 'Piteous Gate' to life. Drawing from action- scifi film trailers and the sound design of festival trance, its hardcore synthlines shatter into 'Optimate'—stately, spatial, and whiplash-luxurious, with meandering cybernetic drumming. 'Thorium' sends a slow-motion camera through a melting test reactor: all burnt VSTs and synthetic theorbo and loose drums.

'The Black Pill' smears high-end renaissance sample libraries through arcs of static. In 'Epithet,' temple sewer atmospheres are ruptured by 'Scythians'-style cut-up drums. 'Jester's Visage' indulges a minute-long baroque guitar improv, and territorial youths air their beef in 'Kritikal & X.' Closing out the album, 'Methy Imbiß' is a machinic rhythm track, and 'Azov Seepage' mingles birdlike granular noises with rusted steel clanging.

The LP was recorded in Berlin in winter 2015, mastered and cut by Rashad Becker
at D&M, and pressed on 140g LP and CD.

A lot of musicians fall in love with their effect pedals,
but Ulrich Troyer is probably the first one to
describe the interior world of his stompboxes &
delay pedals with a project that combines music, a
graphic novel and hand drawn visuals for the live
performance. SONGS FOR WILLIAM 2 is the
second part of an experimental dub trilogy that
started in 2011 on Mala's DEEP MEDI Label &
continues 2013 on Ulrich Troyer's own 4Bit
Productions label. The project is the perfect
intersection of the talents and interests of Ulrich
Troyer: illustration, architecture, acoustic research,
old school dub reggae and afrobeat.
Troyer - a trained architect - creates a distinctive
and overall impressive soundarchitecture
throughout the whole album full of dub references
and abstract electronics that refer to Troyer's past
as a MEGO artist. Comic novel and music are
connected to each other and form a fascinating
gesamtkunstwerk. Classic dub effects act as lead
characters not only in the graphic novel but also in

You never know what influences, styles and genres you will hear when you press play on a Ralph Cumbers' Bass Clef record but with an ever expanding back catalogue and a renowned live show to boot, you know you are in for a treat.
Chanson du Ricochet, features two tracks of idiosyncratic electronic shimmers & rattling sub bass on his second release for Belfast based Rudimentary records.

A-side, Hummingblurs takes a slow burning ethereal approach in its opening section rising to a snare rattling foundation rumbler at the two minute mark. A track that would be as at home on the headphones as in a set of left field house in the early hours.

B-side, Chanson du Ricochet focuses more squarely on the club aesthetic taking the BPMs higher. Like a techno possessed one man band, Chanson glitches and morphs it's way from a four four beat, to broken kick drum patterns, to sub aquatic melodies.

Based in London, Bass Clef is a dance artist who criss-crosses boundaries making friends where ever he goes, armed with his trombone, effects, and percussive instruments of choice he is a potent mix of dance(hall) inspirations - 21st Century urban roots music, Caribbean rhythms, pulsating techno, hypnotic brass, machine soul and classic 'hands in the air' rave dynamics which all swirl around the Bass Clef sound-system experience.
In the past few years he has also remixed Kasai Allstars, Au Revoir Simone, Brigitte Fontaine, Zun Zun Egui and Grace Jones, and he recently launched a new big band live experience called Bass Clef and The Hackney Memorial Free Jazz Marching Band.

After the earscape laid by SchleiBen 1 & 2, things take a twist for part 3 with a darker, deeper and downright trippier set of recordings. Just 1 track per side this is not for the faint-hearted but for real sonic explorers looking to tune in and drop out of musicial spheres. With an endless supply of production talent coming out of Dusseldorf, it seemed only right to shine a light on one of the more experimental and dare say, academic producers, in Florian Meyer aka Don't DJ. As co-founder of the Diskant label - home to Harmonious Thelonious - and one third of The Durian Brothers, Don't DJ is about pushing rhythmic boundaries. With just 2 EPs to date, a recent move to Berlin sees Florian broadened the emphasis to that of collaboration. Travelling back south to a studio deep in the Black Forest he pushes the link between polyrhythmic percussion and brooding electronics. Here, then is where you'll find Kosmose, a full 20 minutes of inspection and instropection. Be ready to let go. As almost light relief then, come the musical mind of Tropical Hi-Fi. A secretive figure living beyond the reaches in Northern Australia, his field recording inspired music is a revolation. Laying aside working with his sometime neighbours and friends Ariel Kalma and Mike Cooper, on his upcoming debut album, he provides a special "live" mix meets studio exploration. Folk, psychedelic, (fourth) world music, found sounds of his native habitat are all thrown in a beautiful mind-altering, growing, pulsating ultraworld. Justified and (un)listen.

Over 10,000 years ago, after the last Ice Age, humans began to explore and settle the place now known as Scotland. Evidence of our ancestors can be found in the various rock carvings, standing stones, tombs and dwellings still scattered throughout the lands today. Modern archaeological techniques can offer ever more detailed suggestions as to what these monuments might have meant, but it is still largely left to our imaginations to discern just what these spaces were used for.

In this spirit, Firecracker Recordings were approached by Forestry Commission Scotland to make something that might capture the feel of these places. They assembled a crack squad of artists (Lord Of The Isles, Other Lands, House Of Traps, Wounded Knee) whom they felt would embrace the challenge, thanks to their shared interest in their own Highland ancestries.

Visiting a handful of sites in an intense period of exploration late in 2014, they took field recordings, drank whisky, jammed in the ruins of brochs, studied rock art, sat in iron age forts, drank whisky, drove for many miles and generally began the process of channelling the shamanic forces (drank whisky) whose presence can still be felt all around.

This album is the result of that brief adventure. The artists worked both together and in isolation, quickly and effortlessly, manipulating the recordings taken from the source and combining them with their own compositions, inspired by both the sights they saw in this time and those they have imagined from another.

Here, they merge modern technologies with traditional instruments and the human voice to conjure up these ancient rites of celebration, ritual, offerings to long forgotten gods, changes in the features of the earth and the universe and the cycles of time.

Accompanying the music is a booklet of archaeological images created by Forestry Commission Scotland, detailing some of the sites around which the music is based, again utilising modern laser scanning technology to see these mysterious relics in a different light.

Inspired at an early age while growing up in the Bay Area, Jason grew up with sounds aired over San Francisco's hip hop station, KMEL. Public Enemy's Bomb Squad, DJ Premiere, Dust Brothers, RZA, J Dilla, and even Aphex Twin have been highly influential in the growth of Jason's music.

Samuel van Dijk is an electronic music producer, sound designer and media artist from the Netherlands, having released electronic music under a variety of projects, namely, Mohlao and VC-118A. With his current project Multicast Dynamics he creates ever-evolving sound textures culminating in intriguing soundscapes while preserving a tranquil cinematic atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from nature, technology, film and fiction, his music productions, live sets and audiovisual work presents a carefully arranged, recorded and processed body of work, using a vast amount of layered sound textures, field recordings and live improvisation. The album series moves from an evolutionary to a cosmological scale: Starting from dry land filled with light and streams, to the constantly changing surfaces of the oceans, into a frozen and murky underwater world, finally up to the arrival in an interstellar space and the cosmos. With this concept Multicast Dynamics explores organic and aqueous worlds in a dreamlike and spiritual appearance. The first installment of the series is entitled ""Scape"". Assembled with the use of analogue synthesizers, field recordings and lo-fi outboard effects, the album was constructed with a sporadic and spontaneous approach to sound and technique. This results in an array of calming, intriguing tracks with a fluctuating character and organic quality. Mysterious crackles, subtle hisses and washes of gloomy sounds reveal a dense approach to composition, processing and recording resulting in an introspective, ethereal and intense listening experience. The EP includes album tracks 'Get Your Fight On' (Re Eq) and 'Rhythm Bomb' feat. Flux Pavilion (Edit), two fresh remixes of album tracks 'The Day Is My Enemy' (Caspa) and 'Rebel Radio' (René LaVice) and the previously un-released, fan favourite 'AWOL'.

'AWOL' has been a track the band have played live since 2012 but as the album writing and recording process developed the band decided to hold AWOL back . Now, after reworking it into a new unheard version they feel it's time to make it available on record........ and limited cassette!

A former mainstay of the LA beat scene, Kutmah has been somewhat quiet on the release front since being deported from the United States and relocating to the UK. Now, the London-based producer has revealed plans to issue a new EP via the Technicolour imprint (helmed by UK producer PhOtOmachine). The forthcoming Our Mannequin EP will offer six original productions from Kutmah, while featuring LA producer/vocalist Seven Davis Jr and Zackey Force Funk on two separate tracks.

Expressions by Fokuz returns with a marvelous 12'' record by liquid stalwart Vandera. He delivers three diverse but excellent tracks with plenty of groove for those who like their beats with soul. ''Ring The Alarm'' features live guitar licks played over sultry rhode chords that could remind one of early Makoto. The very first 12' on the label, this EP marked for Duck N' Cover Records the transformation from a hobbyists joint to a serious institution. Danny Scrilla returns to Cosmic Bridge!
The label that introduced him to the world with his stunning 'Flash Powder' EP in 2012 now gives you his 'True Sight' EP. Including a collaboration with label boss Om Unit, drawing on the hardcore continuum and regression in modernist music True Sight's soul-infused electronics and vintage sound should prove future-proof for the elusive soundboy.
Arriving on the crest of footwork's rhythmic experiments exploiting slowfast halftime tempos Scrilla's sound is hard to pin down, Dub and Soundsystem culture influence heavily, a legacy of his early work with Reggae and Dancehall sound system Rise and Shine', but as True Sight highlights again Scrilla resists categorisation. Dark, Moody and Energetic and with a crucial balance of dread, romance, sci-fi imagineering, eyes down spirit and heart-rushing rhythms this record will appeal to fans of Instrumental Hiphop, Liquid DnB, '06 OG Dubstep's dark sparse sounds, Jungle, House and left-field Techno.
While Helium might be the strongest sonic connection to Scrilla's past releases, it cuts it's own path. A stark rumbling low end tickler it's house fired off dubwise, switching detuned sidechain pads with a gorgeous rolling organ bassline, soulful female vox and slapping drums for some heads down stepping introspection. The ear-kissing dreamy cybersoul of Rigel7 shows a different side to Scrilla, Smokey instrumental hip-hop, classic Mo'wax downbeat moodiness, bittersweet jazz and brilliant pensive piano work are counterpointed by complex dynamics and warm rich sub-bass suggesting once again that hip-hop and dubstep might be closer cousins than is usually admitted. Jello's spacious heavyweight ruffage is built fortowering stacks and pitch-black rooms. A Prince Far-I vocal sample underlines the strong dub influence. and an off-grid sidestick percussion pattern breaks up the halfstep beat making for some twisted swaying dungeon vibes. Wrapping things up Om Unit gets in on the action with the aerobic noirish drumfunk of Free Flight and you can immediately hear the label bosses influence! Hot on the tail of two prior releases by Tapirus aka Rotterdam's own Charlton, the MNSX series presents its 3rd instalment with none other than yung John Heckle from Merseyside, UK with a remix by Tapirus. Three incredible tracks from John Heckle make up this blistering hyperactive EP. Raw, acidy landscapes and analog drum programming are the trademarks of this artist and he displays his mastery in full force. I had an appointment with James Stephenson an American friend from the 90s in NYC, heused to skip the American winter every year to be with the Hadzas bushmen and other Tanzanians tribes in Tanzania.Whilst there, James and I lost completely track of time and did not give a shit about what day Christmas was, or NewYears for that matter- with the majority of the planet knowing they were heading into the 21st Century.At some point end of December or early January 2000() we asked a group of Hadzas we were hanging out with, 'what'sthe date today' None understood the question but one Hadza who had been sent to school in the early 70s answeredthat we must be in 1975!Tanzania in 1999/2000, this intense trip away from all the millennium bullshit celebrations. I gathered all kinds of sounds,not only music, that expresses proximity and that was the first time I decided I was going to remix those raw recordingsinto a decent soundscape. It was also the first time I was pleased with the result- to go into a direction of redefining worldmusic, away from the commercial clichés. The title is taken from one of the three marks of Buddhism where it is believed that all existence is in a state of flux. The four long play tracks
that make up Impermanence equal such a pragmatic whole that perfectly affirms such an album title. Moments of solace and hope give way to momentary passages of happiness and love only to unknowingly become anxious, dark and claustrophobic blankets of uncertainty.

The segments of gnarled aggression that rear their head seem to never let up. Yet when released are consoled by warm ambient passages highlighting magnanimous emotive piano. Such beauty is ever present but just as in life is ever fleeting.

These ephemeral passages are what makes Impermanence so special.

The album here now at hand has been in work for more than a year. Just enough time for Sebastian Damerius aka ComixXx to bring in fourteen tracks which complete in its build up his
long-awaited solo album. For this cause he invited several guests to his Berlin based studio. Maybe first and foremost Alex Barck, who has been backing him up throughout all of the production process with his enormous experience and his beyond any doubt reliable sense of style. It has been Barck, too, how discovered the 15-year old singer Mirna in the school choir of his daughter and brought her to ComixXx' studio to record her self-penned Can U Feel'. That's also already the album's first hit, having been released already last year as a teaser with a wide response.

Neurofunk powerhouse label Eatbrain returns with its latest high quality offering, this time from the one known as L 33. The Bulgarian producer's futuristic, dancefloor-crushing sound has seen him rise to prominence over the last few years, with releases on a who's-who of neurofunk D&B labels. Now, he joins the Eatbrain fold with SCREAM EP - a fearsome 4 track offering of alien rhythms and sound design worthy of the most frenzied dancefloors.
L 33 leads off with the intricate 'Scream'. Setting the stage with a haunting synth pattern underlying arrays of distant percussion, L 33 punctuates the atmosphere with sharp, grinding stabs before dispensing a pleasingly disjointed groove of weighty bass notes and carefully placed medleys.
Next up, 'Digital Sound' wastes no time raising the pressure, building up before initiating a rolling, robotic funk complemented by a textured, distorted low end.
L 33 ingrains his sinister melodic palate on the high-octane 'Oscillation', while 'Calibrate' primes listeners with an eerie cascade of dissonant arpeggios before initiating an aggressive dancefloor rhythm to close out the release.
All in all, the SCREAM EP makes for a highly potent Eatbrain solo debut from the young Bulgarian talent - no doubt one of neurofunk drum & bass's rising stars. Expect no less from Eatbrain - purveyor of premier neurofunk drum & bass.

We are happy to announce the debut EP on Born Electric from multi-disciplinary musician, Matthias Voigt, aka Mias Void.
The signing of this track first began it's life for us as The Model's 'Trance' remix', which was easily the most 'I.D'd track from my sets over the past year, to the point where I've been receiving irate messages from YouTube commenters demanding to know it's name. We didn't want to let the cat out of the bag until we knew for sure we could release this bomb because the remix started it's life out as a bootleg of Matthias Vogt's excellent 'Bliss' track from 2011, realising that licensing it may not have been a possibility. Luckily Matthias is a kind and talented soul who decided this track would see new life under his Techno moniker 'Mias Void' and so 'Return to Bliss' was re-born anew. I've taken a lot of stick online from people whilst trying to keep this track under wraps and I originally asked Romanian Radu aka The Model not to share the remix with his DJ friends for the time being to which he humbly replied that he "didn't know many DJs in his Techno area who would play this Neo Trance stuff anyways'. Hearing this made just re-affirmed to me how huge his remix was and also how we all as music fans can write off amazing tracks because they don't happen to fit our idea of what is 'cool'. To push this point even further, upon hearing Ikonika's insanely fun eighties take on the Chvrches, we employed her for a remix and she delivered two racey Electro mixes, one 'club' and one 'pop' version. Alas, we needn't worry here about being cool here because the brand new slick interpretationfrom Mias himself has been garnering attention from the likes of Berghain / Panorama Bar regular oliver deutschmann, who upon hearing Mias play it requested a copy instantly. Who gives a f*ck about being cool when the music is this good

Mark Broom :

A truly prolific artist, Mark has a myriad of production credits to his name having worked with world renowned labels and artists for decades. It all started in the Summer of 89 when Mark landed in Tenerife on vacation and stumbled across the delights of the emerging sounds of Chicago and Acid House. Returning to the UK, he immediately went in search of this new found music - a pair of turntables bought, and with them a musical career was born.

James Ruskin :

Has been working in music for more than 20 years now and is considered as one of the main artists for British electronic techno music, as both producer and DJ. James comes from a background that first put him in touch with hip hop and electro in the 80's and later with the emerging Detroit techno scenes which inspired him to become a DJ in 1991 and then venture into production in 1994. James remains a vital element in the British techno scene today.

* No stranger to success and an icon in his South American homeland, DJ Marky is an internationally renowned DJ and producer and label boss of his own Innerground Records imprint. Igniting dancefloors with with the same passion for music he first started producing with two decades ago, DJ Marky's compilations, mixes and remixes number over 100 - including edits for Everything But The Girl, Claude Van Stroke, Fatboy Slim and Deadmau5 - and it's high time he got to work creating an artist album.

Just in time for deep summer, Be With Records present the first ever vinyl issue as a double gatefold package. Originally surfacing in 2008, it has aged remarkably well. Indeed, now the world has caught up with all things 'balearic', this album should soundtrack balmy terrace gatherings, Adriatic boat parties and domestic BBQs this summer.

Stretching out fully across four sides, the listener is enveloped in horizontal disco, Can-esque freeway trips and synth-led downtempo dreaminess. Allow "Nesso", the quietly strident opener, to glide over you before becoming entranced by the insistent motorik rhythms of "Everything Is Neu". The Lindstrom-endorsed "White Diamond" still startles whilst the percolating Rhodes-workout of "The Lotus and The Robot" gently soothes. Meanwhile, funk head-nodder "Closer to Forever" could've emerged from the same studio sessions as Steely Dan's Aja; yes, it's that good. Throughout, Hatchback crafts a sound quite unlike any other, as slo-moalmost-hip-hop beats underscore otherwise ambient pieces.

A record truly deserving of the deluxe Be With treatment, the vinyl was specially cut at Abbey Road whilst the original artwork has been pleasingly expanded. Now, an eye-catching gold-foil layer is set against the original red tones, wrapped up in a sumptuous gatefold jacket. MKFN return to Touchin' Bass after last years 'Substrate EP' with their latest offering, 'This Divide EP.'

Through a sustained and methodical exploration of studio techniques, the trio of Babar Raza (US), Ovais Hassan (UK) and Fahad Ahmad (Canada) continue to refine and evolve their signature sound.

Manipulated sounds accent the meticulous rhythms to form the foundation upon which this release is defined. Over the course of these four tracks, MKFN create a sense of place inviting listeners to traverse landscapes that exist independent of any singular perception or experience.

Subtext presents the debut album from UK based Sri Lankan born artist Paul Jebanasam. Rites brings together five settings of stark sonic poetry whose underlying logic bridges the worlds of contemporary classical, metal, sacred music and sound design. The pieces explore the central themes of grace and savagery, contrasting historical musical languages with the emergence of visceral sonics and immersive tonality, overlaying the past on to the present and considering the possibilities of sound as an eternal, universal medium embedded within the order of civilisation. Rites takes its central inspiration from Jebanasam's exploration of liturgical music whilst integrating aspects of his seminal production work for the Bristol based Tectonic label and his defining role in the re-emergence of Subtext in 2011. Through the five ceremonial passages, Rites brings together a unified vision of existence projected across human memory, merging the primal impulse of metal, noise and richly textured drone with the tension and emotional narrative of classical composition. The material summons these elements together, evoking a machine of incalculable scale forging a world distinct of time where man's transit and reckonings merge with a vast and unforeseeable purpose. The visible and invisible streaming together into pools of chaos and sanctity, a landscape stalked by the unknown, the human spirit uttering a desolate whisper to the spirit of its ancestors. Rites brings these classical themes together into an immersive statement that considers the possibilities for contemporary composition to connect with new sonic forms, exploring abstracted structures and sculptural synthesis, and ultimately examining music's potential to converse with its earliest origins whilst being embedded in the present.

Uber picked up this beautiful mellowed out pop song by Shining Bird for a vinyl release after becoming totally captivated by its warm laid back Balearic feel. Shining Bird hail from Austinmer a coastal town just south of Sydney, Australia. They are a collective of friends who got together over their love of the sea, Australian cinema, Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" Lp and the great Australian poet Henry Lawson. The second track Stitzing/Wipeout is another great alternative pop song in the same vein as Destroyer with the song blending into a 5 min piece of psyched out ambient. On the flip side Coyote remix Distant Dreaming into a horizontal percussion led dubby contemplative trip with pitched down vocals and a throbbing bassline. Uber continuing its crusade of finding and releasing music that captures their Balearic ethos.

Génération Sans Futur (Generation Without a Future), Art Zoyd's third LP released in 1980 through Atem Records., comes back to the sound (and lineup, plus Daniel Denis/Univers Zero) of the group's first Symphonie Pour le Jour où Brûleront les Cités. The 17-minute 'La Ville' is a powerful epic including Thierry Zaboïtzeff's prehistoric grunts, complex time shifts, and a tribal/ritualistic feel once again close to the spirit of Magma. But unlike 'Musique Pour l'Odyssée' (title track of Art Zoyd's second album), the music here is fast-paced, less atmospheric, more organized. It plays on the tension that will remain the basis of Art Zoyd's originality: a tribal, atavistic feel contrasting with contemporary classical aesthetics. Actually, Génération Sans Futur may be leaning more toward the contemporary side, as exemplified by pieces like 'Divertissement,' 'Trois Miniatures,' and the manic 'Speedy Gonzales.' 'Génération Sans Futur,' on the other hand, taps into a more visceral progressive rock format and percussionist Daniel Denis actually gets to play drums for a couple of minutes, giving the piece an unusual drive. A strong album.

Distal came to the musical world in 2010 with his first release on Soul Jazz Records. Since then he's releaed on many reputable labels such as Well Rounded, Sounds Of The Cosmos, Om, Tube10, Fabric, Embassy and Tectonic where his Freshman album came out in 2012. Having stuided the auditory phenomenom known as 'Synesthesia' in his University years, Distal has used his love for the pairing of senses in his musical productions. Each one of his works evokes a very distinct visual (albeit subjective) sensation in its listener's.

Retrograde Space Opera is a psychedelic science fiction story and the sophomore album of the American electronic composer and futurist known as Distal. Fully supported by RBMA, including a label launch show in Atlanta. Tours in the works for late 2014 & 2015 in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The immersive nature of the vector artwork for Retrograde Space Opera was conceived through a year-long collaborative effort between Distal and famed Argentinian artist Freschore. Each week they met and engineered every alcove of the universe together, from detailing the minutiae of the transportation system to the fashion differences between social strata.

Junto Club are four men from Glasgow who have remained friends since they were teenagers through creating music they love. Whilst learning new instruments during a long winter, their sound was fashioned unexpectedly with sporadic melodies overlaid on taut drum machines, synthesizers and bass guitar. Many humble dance moves followed as the band began to carouse behind closed doors with their newly-found rhythm.
