This story looks at the outside world from within and utilizes travels and adventures as a way to explore the world as outer space.

Since their BBC Maida Vale session for Steve Lamacq in 2012, Soccer96 have been wowing rock, jazz, electronic and all kinds of audiences with their frenetic yet devastatingly tight live sets.
On 'Jupiter Masterdrive' the London synth and drum duo further hone their blend of jazz, prog and electronica within the confines of brevity demanded by the 7" format. Recorded direct-to-tape over a few heady sessions, these tracks bear the palpably unfolding, organic beauty of improvisation and live recording while conveying ever deeper levels to the pair's musical and artistic vision. The band recorded these pieces in constant experimentation with their tape machine, trying different approaches and techniques for each track; this is a small glimpse into the process and a tantalising sample from an expansive body of recordings.
'Constellation' creates a drugged out, noir-ish setting with its sighing melodies and enigmatic cadences but the booming kicks and pistol-crack rimshots swagger through exotic back alleys, taking pot-shots in the murk and gloom. 'Flight Formation' recalls the most jazz informed reaches of Detroit techno, so much so that house maestro Glenn Astro couldn't help but offer up an extended DJ-friendly edit. The earthy, melancholy bassline threads its way through a percussive crescendo while hypnotic, interlocking keyboard patterns cycle steadfastly in the background. 'Step Overs' lurches into being, all its disconnected drums assembling and lining up like a firing squad to deliver a barrage of beat-blasts, resulting in a spandau ballet of synth spasms.
This release is not just the sound of immensely talented players exploring their shared chemistry and technologies. Instead it could be seen as a manifesto for how to successfully use live instruments to interpret today's myriad strands of electronic music. And it fits in perfectly with WotNot's own mantra of focusing on innovation and imagination to deliver music that stimulates and delights

Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL released his fourth long player 'In The Wild' back in August and he returns to the fray armed with a new 8-track mini album.

* Next up is 'Twice Shy', a track that has been championed and exclusively aired by DJ Hype on his Kiss FM show earlier in the year. Heading towards an impending doom, this track sets up a sense of emergency before the all-important drop lands swift and in devastating fashion.* 'Zero One' ties up the release in a reflective manner, altering and developing throughout. From lush ambient openings, to mechanical bleeps and amen flashes, the track shapes itself gradually and effortlessly. It's one that keeps you guessing on exactly which path the next switch might twist and turn the track down next.

The second release on Kutmah's IZWID imprint is a rare collection of bugged out electronic soul from the Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer and poet, Seven Davis Jr. "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" spans 12 years of experimental, cosmic out-of-body-and-mind music, of mostly four and eight track recordings once lost in storage via a lengthly hiatus due to drug addiction and depression.
Resurfacing in 2012, Seven Davis Jr.'s 'Thanks' appeared on Kutmah's much lauded "Worldwide Family Vol. 2" compilation on Brownswood Recordings, after which the kaleidoscopic artist released the clattering funked beats of "Lo-Fi Vintage" and house-inspired "One" EP.
For IZWID, "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" is a creative blueprint for Davis Jr.'s brilliantly unorthodox approach with his beautifully raw drums and psychotropic harmonies. "I made a lot of this music many years ago and other labels and artists hated on me for it," says Davis Jr. of the lost tapes. "They said it was too weird, too different, sounded like drug music (it was) and they told me I was going to hell, for 'Pornostar'. Years later; new life, new city, new day and age. I found the music again, which I never stopped loving and decided to send it all to Kutmah.

Newcastle's finest Smoove & Turrell are back with their third studio album Broken Toys and this single is certain to add to their momentum.

Constantly dodging the pigeon hole and with a genre-hopping back catalogue that's touched on off-kilter cuts of Breakbeat driven Rave, Techno and Acid, Berlin based Skrufix present their latest offering following up EDMX's 'Wicked Drummer' EP and Aashton's '4 Real' EP with the second in their series of vinyl releases; 'Critical Hit' EP from label mainstay, Stephen Hedley a.k.a The Crane.

Over a year since the foundation-laying 'This is how we roll', a cluster of the Keysound family members return with a 14 track compilation of exclusive new tracks. It will be the 50th release on the label. The CD is shaped in an arc designed to reflect both the breadth and the flow of the music being made within the camp. Beginning with Logos' beatless exercise in tension 'Metropolis' it moves through dark percussive 130 bpm rollage from Parris, Dusk + Blackdown, Aphix, Caski and Etch. Grimey influences begin to emerge via Wen and the Sully remix of Balistiq Beats ft Riko, before an explosion of synths and colour from Murlo, DLVRY and E.m.m.a. engulf the scene. Finally the compilation curves back down into a more abstract plane with Facta, Epoch and emerging lyricist/producer Luke Benjamin. The title for the compilation was crowd-sourced from the producers themselves, kicking around different suggestions until something was borrowed from a cluster of LHF-inspired blog posts Blackdown had written. The title was 'something representative of the things that link us but also separate us' went the reasoning. This spirit of how 'Certified Connections' was selected seemingly reflects the strength of solidarity and the unity of purpose around these artists right now: working within a darker (but sometimes colourful), rolling (but sometimes arresting) and bassier (but not without subtleties) space. "Keysound is home for me, and listening through the compilation the doors are wide open to welcome edgy new talent to the family," said Wen. As well as contributing a track to 'Certified Connections', certain editions of the release will come with a special mixed version by one of the most exciting DJs from the camp and sometime Wen-collaborator, Parris, deploying his trademark blends and precision cuts. The release follows hot on the heels of Dusk + Blackdown's recent vinyl doublepack of 130 based cuts 'Back 2 Go FWD>>', LV & Josh Idehen's 'Islands' album and Moleskin's 'Satis House' EP.

Eat My Pussy" is the delightfully nasty debut solo release from Latvian artist Anet K., coming out on Pomelo November 24th. The title track, featuring Anet's vocals and production, functions as both a demand and endearing request, fusing her encyclopaedic knowledge of electro with a cunning lyrical twist. With such a explicit title, it should come as no surprise that the inspiration for "Eat My Pussy" comes from firsthand experience. Schlammpeitziger's album yields even more fruit. Six weeks after the release of his longplayer "What's Fruit" Pingipung releases this 12inch EP with remixes. The motley set of six electronic musicians and bands dice Schlammpeitziger's countless melodies into a delicious fruit salad! Candie Hank (Patric Catani) deals with the title track "What's Fruit" and beams the mantra-like vocals of the original unerringly to the dancefloor. Andreas Dorau, the infamous hero of German New Wave music form the 80s, is a year long companion of Schlammpeitziger. He sings about autumn leaves, on top of the instrumental hit "Balcony Sofaune", which is transformed into a disco piece by Dorau's producer sdfkt. (Golden Pudel Club, Hamburg). Springintgut dedicates himself to the complex melodic layers of "Pipe Claphorse", waves a giddy tambourine and tops it off with a three voiced cello chorus. The B side is opened by Mouse On Mars who turn "Balcony Sofaune" into an ever growing and collapsing bass monster, while focusing on the bold brass theme of the original. Thomas Mahmoud Zahl slows it down with a head- nodder. He thwarts the melancholy of "Schneid ein Stück aus der Zeit" with a stoically bouncing beat, which dubs and grooves like it wants to go on forever. Dub-Master hey (one half of Pingipung's Hey-Ø- Hansen) sends the same track through his studio, offers new harmonies with his quiet acoustic guitar and sugars it all with a galactic vocoder.

Shaken-Up Versions contains new edits of some of The Knife's best-known tracks—"We Share Our Mother's Health" and "Silent Shout" among them.

'a day in the life' - the brand-new ambient and beyond album by lawrence, confirms this assumption - yet no world really collapsed on the dj and producer from hamburg. instead his emotional perception danced upon friendship and wanderlust and he put together twelve tracks for an album dedicated to his long lasting relation to toshiya kawasaki, man of action behind labels like mule musiq, endless flight and mule electronic, and the artist stefan marx.

besides co-running the label dial and the mathew gallery in berlin lawrence is constantly releasing music on his own labels and befriended platforms like smallville records. furthermore the north german regularly contributes to kawasaki's imprints mule musiq and electronic. just recently he dropped the ep 'blue mountain' on mule musiq - a deep emotional foretaste of what 'a day in the life' delivers on album length.

the music he shares on his latest long player isn't linked to a special place or event. he mostly produced it up-road on his dj trips around the globe including toshiya's homeland japan. back in his cosy backyard studio in hamburg he finished all musical pieces and mixed them down with a lot of joy.

they are listening to great track names like "nowhere is a place" or "lost in joy", which allow in combination with the lovingly detailed sounds imaginative mind games. in terms of style ambient calls the tune and opens the genre into the wide open with the very own musical and emotive language of lawrence.

a track like 'nowhere is a place' spreads smoothly twisted spectral vibes with blurring sounds that could easily originate from alienated instruments like a damaru or a conch horn. lawrence himself keeps it secret and let the music speak for itself. sometimes soft sizzling noise slides under gentle balanced ambient air like in the track 'the visit'.

in other arrangements he let the chords dance with cute smacking electronic glimpses or odd slow-motion melodies remind on the work of hans-joachim roedelius and his love for the gentle swing.

all compositions float and sound like the improvisations of a virtuoso who has forgotten his virtuosity in order to drown real deep in his creations. for lawrence the album is 'a triple buddy record' as not only his emotional content is included in the finished product. also his friends stefan marx - who is in charge for the artwork - and mule musiq head toshiya kawasaki have been profoundly involved in the outcome.

'since ten years the three of us work together. the record shows this very nicely in terms of our love for ambient music and cover artwork. the cover shows stefan's sublet apartment in nyc - also a very ambient place.

But even with substantial context aside, 'Absence' is an emotional and deeply intimate work that offers an unsettling musical experience for the listener.
'Absence' is filled with haunting sound and abyssal beauty, marked with profound sensitivity and hair-raising despair. The album expresses a deeply troubled and hurt relationship with humanity through the artist's unique musical language, utilizing her own voice, sampling, and electronic means with incredible skill.

If you ask the Canadian producer and DJ Edward Currelly aka Eddie C to name you some things he have'nt
done yet but always wanted he answers: - Visit Greenland. Sell 45s off the back of my motorcycle in Jamaica.'
Those who know the music of the former countryman that left the Canadian nature to get inspired by the lively
culture jungle of Berlin get a winking smile on their lips.

Because those who know his music know that the answer is not only a dream - it is also a dreamy picture of
the essence of his music: laid-back, deep, and heartfelt dedication - thats what his sound is about - like chilling
out on the seat of your Yamaha CB 200 while selling stress-free vinyls of old reggae anthems under the clear
blue Caribbean sky.

His second album - Country City Country' is full of such a vibes. But not obvious and this at least because there
is not much reggae to be found. Only in his dubbed out album opener - To Each Their Own' you can hear the
echoes of Jamaica cleary. Then his record passes away into some cool hiphop instrumentals full of haunting
samples that easily loop in your head.

Already here you are bewitched by Eddie C's gifted hand for playful musicality that goes far beyond the average
concept of a track. His hiphop leaves the usual soul loop map behind while diving into some cosmic zones full of
melting melodies.

With the fifth track - Drinkin and Thinkin' the man that releases his delicate crafted music since 2009 on labels
such as 7 Inches Of Love, Endless Flight, Karat Records, or his own imprint Red Motorbike starts to drop a more
demanding danceable funk. From then on style does'nt matter and Eddie C let his musical love affairs free
wheeling: West-Coast-Rock, Balearic, Funk, Cosmic, Boogie, House, string-laden Disco deepness - you name it.

'I hope a small bit of my musical interests come across.' he explains about the diversity of styles which are
hold together by a unique funkyness that is hard to resist. When Eddie C was a child he played piano, violin and
guitar. At highschool he played in multiple bands of many different styles.

In the early 90s he went to the great Techno parties in Toronto and Detroit and danced the night away. Later in
the decade he had his own radio show for 4 years. In all that time he been a passionate record collector and he
always wrote music that is filled with his knowledge about it.

That is why - Country City Country' jumps airy and laid-back from jazz to house, from dry jacking rhythms to
cool rolling bass grooves, from wild clapping drum beats to playful uplifting brasil piano house madness. Always
with melodies above and in the bassline. The inspiration behind his new album is to share more music Eddie C
reveals. And this not with a look on the dancefloor in the first place.

'I don't really write music with the thought of using it in a DJ set later' he says. Instead he writes music that
listens to his heart in order to reach the heart of the listener. It is all produced on really cheap and affordable
stuff with reaching the maximum out of it. What Eddie C found in all of his machines is a funk that hits the fan
wherever he is: in the deserted Canadian mountains, the green Jamaican hills, or in the moving sunday
afternoon Berghain wilderness.

Maybe this is a mirage, an illusion Maybe we are on another planet, or maybe we are in the spaceship going to another planet Maybe we are all insane Possibilities, an infinite number of possibilities. 'We are in the darkness; nameless things with no memory-no knowledge of what went before, no understanding of what is now, no knowledge of what will be.' - this can easily describe what Absys Limited sublabel is offering us soon with Kontext studio album, 'Dispersal'. of Secret Circuit than the more dance floor inspired sounds heard on last years album Tactile Galactics album for Beats In Space.
Again we glimpse a melting pot of pyschedelia, techno, balearic and ambient to create an electronic gem, but all done with a wry smile and jesters wink rather than today's penchant of moody seriousness. Life on the US West Coast shines from the album, from opener Out West to She Got Love,

Electronic music's Renaissance man Travis Stewart, better known as Machinedrum, brings his Vapor City project to a close with this final chapter in the sprawling epic - Vapor City Archives. Paying close heed to the spirit of the Vapor City community he forged and nurtured, Stewart chose to announce this new record via the global community created when he invited listeners into his personal dream world dubbed 'Vapor City'.

Since forming in Leeds in 2009 Submotion Orchestra have carved out their own special place in the UK's ever-changing musical landscape. The 7 piece band's fusion of bass heavy electronica, jazz, soul and much more besides has made them a favourite of the likes of Gilles Peterson, Trevor Nelson and Jo Whiley, whilst their live show has seen them play festivals around the world and sell out venues such as London's famous KOKO.

Now following two critically acclaimed albums, Finest Hour and Fragments, Submotion Orchestra return bigger, brighter and bolder than ever with Alium; their first album for Counter Records. Released on November 3rd, Alium sees the band in an expansive mood as the interplay between their electronic and acoustic sounds has become more natural than ever, whilst Ruby Wood's vocals continue to find new levels of emotion.

Japanese producer Takuya Matsumoto branches out from his own cult label Iero to give Meda Fury their second release of exotic house - Ram EP.

Piercing through the silence is Ram, a warped elastic slap-bass sets the tone while various keyed organs and Rhodes piano playfully weave amongst jazzy kicks, cymbals and snares. Far-east funk for the floor.
Next up is the imposing Camouflaged Letter. Announced by a repetitive Reich-like piano loop, it circulates until the tremor of Reese bass gradually seeps through. Tough percussion is rendered and intersected by the piano and layers of synth.

On the flip NY NY changes pace, soft guitar chords and picked strings gently sway in time with a fretless bass. Finger clicks, ride cymbals and hand claps coax an open kick drum, while faint vocals whisper a city's name.
Requiem draws the EP to a close, a purposeful drum machine and classical piano melody are reflected in the church-like reverb. And half-heard sound of voices are buried in tape-hiss.

Vladislav Delay's first ambient album in over a decade.

Sasu Ripatti is one of electronic music's most prolific and eclectic producers. Throughout the last
two decades Ripatti has explored every imaginable genre with over 20 albums under aliases such as Luomo and Sistol.

A classically trained percussionist, the Finnish native has also performed as a part of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio and his own Vladislav Delay Quartet. He returns now under his Vladislav Delay moniker with a uniquely inspired album.

'Visa' was a product of pure happenstance. In early 2014, Ripatti was denied entry to the United States and was forced to cancel an entire tour. Suddenly left with unhindered time and a surplus of creative energy, he was able to give birth to the album in a span of only two weeks. Ripatti describes this time as a moment in which 'a valve broke open... and I collected what came out the pipes.'

'Visa is Ripatti's first foray into ambient music in over ten years, yet it is not simply passive background music. Rather it is an active entity, a soundscape built from textured layers of evocative industrial noises and dream-like melodic loops. Clocking in at just under an hour and made almost entirely with analog hardware, the album was designed to be listened to at high volume and in full detail. Beatless and void of percussion, Visa's five cuts challenge the listener to follow Ripatti on his journey through time and musical machinery.

Andy C has unveiled the video for his new single with Fiora, 'Heartbeat Loud'. This is Andy's first official music video, and his first release since signing to Atlantic Records. 'Heartbeat Loud' was premiered on Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record' and can currently be heard via Andy's Soundcloud, having now had over 245,000 plays.

The vocal for 'Heartbeat Loud' was originally written by Fiora and intended to be a solo release, but upon hearing the vocal, Andy C mixed it together with one of his own instrumental tracks that he'd been testing out in his sets for some months, it was clear to both the strength of the collaboration was undeniable.

Berlin based songwriter Dan Bodan was born in the wide open Canadian prairies and raised in Montreal. Reared on the city's underground noise and experimental music scene, Bodan moved to Berlin 8 years ago. Blossoming in the city's unique mixture of crumbling old-world European values, start-up philanthropy, sleepless techno and epic grey skies, he began writing songs to soundtrack his train rides through the city and make sense of it all.
'Soft' is a rose-scented journey through millennial love issues, which was co-produced with Physical Therapy and Ville Haimala (Renaissance Man) and features M.E.S.H., 18+, Great Skin, Latisha Faulkner, Dena Yago, and Stadium. Their second full-length offering for Blackest Ever Black, following 2013's Deformed Worship, Privacy is a defence of the anti-social, the secretive, and the inward-looking; a call to resist the contemporary obsession with "connection", exhibitionism and peer approval, and to claw back ownership of the self. It's only then that the real battles begin. Raspberry Bulbs is the invention of visual artist and musician Marco del Rio, who, under the guise of He Who Crushes Teeth, co-founded Bone Awl - one of the most distinguished black metal projects ever to come out of the USA. Bone Awl has been on indefinite hiatus since 2011, the same year that Raspberry Bulbs' debut album, Nature Tries Again, emerged (following three demo cassettes of dour, hermetic riffage issued in 2009-10). Hitherto a solo endeavour, RB expanded to a five-piece in the wake of Nature's release, and sought to make a definitive break from black metal's musical signifiers, if not its underlying themes of alienation and abjection - a path of self-discovery that culminated in the bruised, dynamic visions of their sophomore LP, Deformed Worship (BLACKEST018). Privacy (BLACKEST034) arrives barely a year after its predecessor, but it's a markedly more developed and far-reaching album. Songs of excoriating intensity once again form the basis of the work - the no-frills 4-track recording capturing all the violence and nuance of del Rio's vocals, of the dual guitar rapport, and the machine-gun rhythm section - but this time they're interspersed with eerie electronic miniatures, instrumental pieces that suggest unseen worlds, malign energies, forces beyond our comprehension and control. This aura of the uncanny is no accident. Though it's practically impossible to describe Raspberry Bulbs' music without mentioning punk or metal, the band's most important influences are not musical, but literary: in particular the "weird fiction" of Lovecraft, Machen, Chambers et al. Privacy certainly has far more to do with this esoteric lineage than it does with contemporary punk or metal cultures. Indeed, the spirit of "weird fiction" runs not just through this album but through all del Rio's prior projects, and even his root influences - explicit Lovecraftian references abound in everything from The Fall to Rudimentary Peni to Morbid Angel, after all. Privacy, then, is perhaps best understood as an entry into this cross-discipline canon of the "Weird" - a genre concerned with transformation, sacrifice, forbidden knowledge and fate. In rejecting the outside world and turning inwards to face "the boundless and hideous unknown", Raspberry Bulbs have delivered their defining statement.

After the highly anticipated release of his third studio album DECAY, Efdemin presents the first part of a remix series featuring his favourite producers.
Bristol's underground hero Asusu inflates the reduced album opener "Some Kind Of Up And Down Yes" with deepest bass and beautiful scapes to the max in a true Photek-Style. Last year's "Control" by Staffan Linzatti was one of the favourite constants to be played in every Efdemin or Lawrence set. Luckily his version of "Solaris" is another epic hymn here with futuristic enhancements of the third kind.The most extraordinary piece on "Decay Version's Part" 1 is The Borderland State's rework of "Parallaxis". Efdemin's studio-mate John Gürtler recorded that beauty with adding acoustic instruments only and sounds like a meeting of Moondog with Wim Mertens.

Flipside is a hugely crafty inversion of Leon Ware's '81 soul nugget 'Rockin' You Eternally', restructuring snippets of the original vocal and slinky lead against a backdrop of cyber-slydin' 808s and fluttering, psychedelic synth layers. A re-bump of Kankick's Say' completes the set on a juicy '80s boogie vibe. Aces

Rinse FM's Sir Spyro is already living his dream, more or less. He's supported Nas at London's immense 02 Arena and survived a stuck deck at Glastonbury. But that's not really what makes him so exceptional, the kind of DJ other DJs dream about being.

In a club, on his prime time Saturday 7-9pm Rinse FM show or on this CD, Spyro is pure, focused hype. 'The way I select I will select any way, any how. I will mix a tune in the middle of the tune or at the beginning of the tune. ... On this (Rinse mix CD) I just wanted to throw them in the way I wanted to, because that's the way I do it.'

The mix, like his show, navigates skillfully through a blend of upfront dubs, exclusive VIP mixes and certified old school classics taken from the grime, garage, funky, dubstep and bassline canons. 'Yeah it's kind of a good look, because this is the direction I want to be in. It's important because as me being a music man, I wouldn't just like to be in one scene. I'd like to conquer a few things. I'd rather try out other things.'

There's no doubt he's trying new things, but there's one thing quite noticeably missing: an MC. While grime mic men are notorious for their disorganisation, this wasn't a case of MC gone MIA: through this CD and his radio show, Spyro's making a clear statement. As the genre has evolved, the balance of power has shifted in grime towards the MC. Spyro is re-asserting the DJs' rights. 'The DJ can live without the MC but the MC can not live without the DJ. Because listen: I don't really need an MC on my show. Why Because I've got his CD in my CD pouch and I could just play it. In a rave I could just play it so him being there wouldn't really make a difference.' It's fighting talk but Spyro has the musical firepower to back it.

Tonik Ensemble is the musical output of Icelander Anton Kaldal Ágústsson. Exploring the vast expanse of the electronic spectrum, his soundscapes are a mix of electronics and more organic live instruments. Together with an ever-evolving cast of talented collaborators, the output is deep, atmospheric yet soulful pseudo-techno.

Anton Kaldal Ágústsson's upcoming album 'Snapshots' is set for release on February 10th via Atomnation. Before then, Tonik Ensemble released the single 'Until We Meet Again', which came package with additional remixes by Applescal, Olaf Stuut, and fellow Icelander Snooze Infinit and found support by Xlr8r, THUMP, The Line Of Best Fit and the Bandcamp Weekly radioshow. The journey of writing the album 'Snapshots' began with exploring the colour palettes various electronics and instruments along with playing around with the human voice. The first output was the song Imprints with Icelandic vocalist Johann Kristinsson. Other vocal collaborations on the album are Shipsi from Latvian band Instrumenti, Icelander Hörður Már Bjarnason who has been part of the Tonik live set since 2012 and Icelander Ragnhildur Gisladottir, who lend her voice to legendary debut album Maxinquaye by trip hop musician Tricky.

In 2012 Ideologic Organ released the 2LP set '12 Stationer VI' featuring the last part of a large scale work by the Hungarian-Swedish composer Akos Rozmann. Here, in 2014 Ideologic Organ is immensely proud to present the complete version of Rozmann's epic masterpiece presented for the first time in its entirety as a deluxe 7CD set.

Akos Rozmann (1939-2005) was born in Budapest where he studied organ and composition at the Liszt Academy. From 1971 to 1974 he studied composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and from 1978 he was an organist at the catholic cathedral in Stockholm. Throughout his life Rozmann dedicated himself to musique concrete developing one of the largest and most rewarding bodies of work in this, the most alchemical of all musical genres. In the early eighties, Rozmann started to build a private electroacoustic studio which he installed in the basement of the Catholic Cathedral whilst continuing to work in tandem at the Elektronmusikstudion (EMS Sweden) where he produced his earlier masterpieces.

Minimal Wave present a 12' EP of tracks from the archives of Sheffield based electronic music legend Richard H. Kirk, who came to prominence in the 1970s as a member of the seminal industrial band Cabaret Voltaire. His first release as a solo artist, Disposable Half-Truths, came out in 1980 on Throbbing Gristle's Industrial Records label. On the EP, we compile tracks originally recorded between 1978 and 1987, which have never before been released on vinyl.

Much of our music is inspired by wild places, whether it's the nature of our native Canada, the steppes of Mongolia, a British meadow or the high Arctic. I have always had a fascination with the vastness and wildness of Siberia and wanted to see if I could capture the atmosphere of some of these places.

Pulshar return to Desolat with another stunning long player filled with a selection of sumptuous productions that further demonstrate their grasp over intimate and deeply ethereal electronic music. Vinyl version of 'Blood and Mathematics' features the originals and instrumentals via download code, and is perfectly timed for when the days begin to draw to a close. Barcelona based duo Sergio S. Vidal and Pablo Bolivar have cemented the Pulshar name and reputation as proponents of dub-heavy, soulful and at times psychedelic electronic music. Their first Desolat long player 'Inside' received critical acclaim and effortlessly bridged the gap between the dance-floor and the home listening environment. They returned to Desolat in 2013 with a deliciously deep and trippy EP in 'Different Drum', and now continue their relationship with the label with 'Blood and Mathematics'. Pulshar continue their affair with Electro, Instrumental Hip-Hop, Dub and Psychedelia. They have distilled this to create a distinctive and soulful brand of electronic music and the new Long Player represents where the artists are in 2014. Since 'Magic Fly' was released in 1977, Space has been one of the key groups / bands in electronic music history, being the Godfather to the Cosmic/Space Disco movement, breaking through the Iron Curtain during the Cold World and becoming one of the most successful band in Russia and becoming a fundamental inspirational act for a long series of artists alongside the likes of Giorgio Moroder & Daniele Baldelli.


The French band, formed in 1977 by Didier Marouani (also known as Ecama), Roland Romanelli, and Jannick Top, have released 3 albums and, even if they haven't constantly been together as a group, they were performing until 1992. On stage they used to wear Astronaut's helmets: their stage presence and their unique look and sound have inspired a wide number of artists, from minor to major acts, including the world wide famous duo Daft Punk.


The album 'Magic Fly', their debut, comprises the title track which has been Main Theme of the original Chinese version of Jackie Chan's 1978 film 'Snake in the Eagle's Shadow'. The album reached #11 on the UK Albums Chart and included the hit single of the same name which reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart.


The title track has also been sampled by artists of every possible genres, from MF DOOM to Talib Kweli, from De La Soul to Minimalistix. As mentioned, they also became largely famous in Russia during the Cold World: the sound of the band had already become a prominent feature of certain soviet radio and television programs, mostly to do with space exploration and general lack of obvious 'decadent' sexuality in the image of the band, reaching hundreds of millions of people.

Sasu Ripatti is one of electronic music's most prolific and eclectic producers. Throughout the last two decades Ripatti has explored every imaginable genre with over 20 albums under aliases such as Luomo and Sistol. A classically trained percussionist, the Finnish native has also performed as a part of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio and his own Vladislav Delay Quartet. He returns now under his Vladislav Delay moniker with a uniquely inspired album.'Visa' was a product of pure happenstance. In early 2014, Ripatti was denied entry to the United States and was forced to cancel an entire tour. Suddenly left with unhindered time and a surplus of creative energy, he was able to give birth to the album in a span of only two weeks. Ripatti describes this time as a moment in which 'a valve broke open... and I collected what came out the pipes.''Visa is Ripatti's first foray into ambient music in over ten years, yet it is not simply passive background music. Rather it is an active entity, a soundscape built from textured layers of evocative industrial noises and dream-like melodic loops. Clocking in at just under an hour and made almost entirely with analog hardware, the album was designed to be listened to at high volume and in full detail. Beatless and void of percussion, Visa's five cuts challenge the listener to follow Ripatti on his journey through time and musical machinery.

After an 18-month hiatus, it's time for the return of one of the UK's true pacesetters: Bloom. Hydraulics is a brain-twisting four track EP of convulsing, mechanoid dancefloor compositions that represents the Belfast producer's most advanced body of work to date - and his debut on Bristol label Crazylegs.

If Kowloon and Raw Missions were them early warning signs of a resurgence in experimental 130 140bpm electronica, Bloom's 2012 breakthrough Quartz was the spark that lit the touchpaper. A deranged four-minute cacophony of sirens, gunshots and squarewaves, it was a thrilling and timely reminder of how much potential
remained untapped in instrumental grime - and launched Bloom into several
year-end charts.

2013's follow-up Maze Temple EP arrived on Lost Codes to great acclaim - taking the hard-nosed Quartz template and bending it into three new club-ready forms. Rinse FM and Fabric appearances followed, as did a riotous FACT mix that ended up in their top 15 of the year. His sole remix to date - Toyc's Keyframe - lurched even deeper into the realms of dancefloor lunacy, becoming a set staple for Slackk, Brackles and Blackdown. A new Gage re-edit popped up in Slackk's recent RA mix. The term 'game changer' is overused to the point of futility in 2014 but Bloom is one of the few producers to whom it genuinely applies. The small amount of material he's released is regarded as standout, scene-shaping work. Bloom's status as a major influencer has only grown in his absence - along with feverish anticipation for new material.

Introducing Jesse James Solomon with his debut EP 'Jesse From SE'. We've been waiting for a release from this guy for a couple of years and now it's finally here. You may remember the name from a couple of tunes with Crave Moore and Rejjie Snow that have been floating around online for a long while now, if you don't then today's a great day for you. This swift little EP is a great insight in to what Jesse is about. His music is chilled out, his flow is super smooth and there's a nice little feature from Rejjie in there too. Hopefully this is the starting gun for a continuous stream of music from the South London rapper. The release of this EP has been a long time coming and it's flicking all the right switches, so here's to hoping we're not waiting too long for the next installment.

Autumn Blues is another Various Artists compilation (the fourth/final instalment of the Trouble Remixes series), featuring re-rubs of a selection of the label's favourite up-and-coming acts from across Scotland by up-and-coming and more established production talents. This release has received airplay on BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland (see comments below), it will be reviewed in Mixmag (November issue) and there's also a guest mix being broadcast (8th / 15th Nov) on DJ Bert's prime-time Saturday night show on Czworka Polskie Radio (like Radio 1 in Poland), with more press TBC...
