DEEP MEDi are proud to announce Swindle's longplayer 'Long Live The Jazz'.
'This project has consumed my whole life over the last year and half and I'm over the moon to finally be able to share it! Deep Medi,
Butterz #LongLiveTheJazz'. The album delves into the increasingly blurred sounds of grime, dubstep, and bass music alongside
musical influences from artists such as George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelic and Roy Ayers. Purple synths, colourful vocoder work
(think Joker and Redinho) and growling basslines litter the album, with guest spots and collaborations from Nadia Suliman & Footsie,
The Milk, Terri Walker and Sam Frank sitting alongside Swindle's solo tracks. Even the toughest beats on the album are placed side
by side by delicate touches of funk and soul.
Swindle's rise to fame began as his releases on Planet Mu and his own Swindle Productions gained attention from Elijah & Skilliam,
who began to feature his music regularly on their Rinse FM radio show. A release on Butterz followed shortly after, leading to his
DEEP MEDi release 'Do The Jazz'.
Having now produced tracks for the likes of Roll Deep, Chipmunk, Professor Green and Asher D, co-producing with Toddla T and
Silkie and featuring on the Amy Winehouse 'Back To Black' tribute compilation, Swindle's also a regular on the DJ and radio circuit,
playing in clubs up and down the UK, Europe, America and South Africa whilst holding up a regular slot on Rinse FM. The album is
launched with Swindle's debut live show at Fire in June.

Deep roots elements and moody bass-lines are the key elements to Thing's productions. These tracks have been featured on Doc
Scott's recent Future Beats podcasts.

Ambient musician Pete Burton is a multi-instrumentalist with a clear ethos about his music. For him, a feeling of immediate spontaneity is born from the degree of improvisation involved. You can clearly hear this on his debut album 'objects of mind'. Hailing from Glasgow Pete has delivered a magnificent and beautiful multi layered album that can be perfectly described as a soundtrack-esque drama in 10 acts. His influences from bands such as Popol Vuh are clearly present and Pete played all the instruments on this album such as synths, guitar, bass, kalimba and various percussion instruments in long improvised live takes and sculpted his gorgeous music to an incredible album. London based club night and freshly formed label Sub Skank kick off with the first of three various artist limited 12' and digital
compilations guaranteed to annihilate any bass driven dance floor.
The extended play fires off with Winchester based DJ / Producer Tanka delivering another floor filler 'Someone tell me' with his
distinct flavour of bass and beats, accompanied by melodic synth flutters backed by chopped and screwed vocal elements.
The second track steps up the pace with D Warrior's 'Back Off Shorty', a minimal bass led track which reels you into an outbreak of
hard hitting snares for maximum impact, mutating in and out of 4/4 patterns with a catchy vocal hook for everyone to sing along to.
Pyramid Scheme is a triangulated collaboration between CDNephew, D Warrior and Akito who supply the third rhythm on the release
'Eight Ball Model', mounting up the tension with dissonant over-driven chords and echoed atmospherics, drawing on a hybrid of
influences far and wide.
The last of the first is a powerful 140 grime influenced take on Pyramid Scheme's 'Eight Ball Model' delivered by Famous Eno on
remix duty, reaching for his his deadly clap and snare combinations with rib rattling bass stomps and vocal challenges.

MUV009 hit's wax with 3 again very versatile cuts, one a piece from Versa, Label boss Demon, and NDread.
"Footsteps in Tibet" is another fine example of Versa'a ability to create intricate, emotive and though-provoking music. From the
offset, a stirring call washes over a fresh, tidal undercurrent, instantly taking you east . Brooding, smooth sub bass rolls and rises
effortlessy under almost Steve Gurley-esque, stuttering, cluttering, yet still spacious drum programming. Progression brings smooth
pads and echoed chords, interspersed with aqueous fluidity.
Demon takes charge on "Parachutes"; a popping, pulsing rhythmic workout. Filtered percussion builds over eerie stabs and pads,
raising tension before dropping into an energetic, futuristic roller, accelerated with pulsing sub bass movement. Crushed sinister
vocal snapshots lurk with spooky jabs and swerving synth shots. Headnod business.
The 3rd cut of MUV009 see's the ever invented NDread unleash a monstrous slab of heavyweight 140 with "Criminal". Crushed
percussion creeps forward, with filtered snarls sizzling between hits, before some west coast hip hop meets MUD madness thunders
into action. Twisting growls disperse over a punishing driven mid bass; a devastating low end punches through tough,
sledgehammer-hard drums. Vocal snippets bark, and Dread's precise edits keep up the pace.

going to be out Well, here it is now , the two 'zombies' Cosmic Neman and Etienne Jaumet finally sign their first film music

Ricardo Donoso completes his latest trance mission for Digitalis with 'One Verse Sharpens Another'. The duo of Antony Harrison and the re-christened Birch (formerly Leyli) dissected and reassembled their sound during the two years 'Put Your Hands On Me' was written and recorded. This album, their second, runs deeper and is far more collaborative in all aspects. Put Your Hands On Me is steeped in violence, sometimes subtle and sometimes overt. Scars left from a brutal past play victim to the minor-chord synth swells and complex rhythms. In between whispers, Birch howls with a vengeance. Her voice provides a counterweight to Harrison's gunshot-fed beats and glowing synths. Each hushed tone or whispered lyric is bathed in smokey neon hues, lost in a binge-fuelled haze.

We've seen a lot of oddities reissued over the last few years, but few come close to capturing the bewildering brilliance of this bizarre instructional Birthing album recorded somewhere in Alaska in 1982 and resurfacing now on a first-ever vinyl pressing thanks to the supreme Ethnomusicological skills of Andy Votel and his Dead-Cert imprint. Utilising the ARP 2600, ARP Odyssey, Polymoog, harmonica/synthesiser interface, Eventide Omnipressor, Roland vocoder and genuinely bizarre narration imploring the listener to 'push...' over a background of retro-futuristic space-age progressions, these recordings edge the concept of extreme American outsider music to its furthest reaches. Originally broadcast as a one-off transmission for electronic harmonicist Gary Sloane's Import Hour show on Anchorage radio station KGOT FM, it's one of the rarest recordings in the very limited line of Clone breadcrumbs released to date - the audio discovered by Sloan in his own time capsule of C60 compact cassettes used to document the unlikely synthesised wing of an untravelled North American micro industry. 'Son of Octabred' is unlike any other Kosmische or early synth record you're likely to have heard, arcing from the surreal instructional opening segment to popwise synth hooks before eventually building into a monumental layer of synthesized drone you'll have trouble comprehending after the umpteenth listen. As a label set up to give life to recordings that were never really intended for wider public consumption, Dead-Cert has done a commendable job shining a light on lost DIY aesthetics - this album perhaps making for its most compulsive, odd outing yet.

'The idea for 'The Death Of Rave' was conceived in early 2006 after a visit to the Berghain Club in Berlin. At the
time Berghain was about to explode on the international club scene as a temple. The feeling was in the air that
something special was happening. I went and saw a pale shadow of the past. Grim and boring beats, endlessly
pounding to an audience who felt they were part of an experience but who lacked cohesion and energy. For
me personally something had died. Be it a spirit, be it an ideal, be it an adventure in sound. Rave and techno
felt dead to me.
The original 'The Death Of Rave' project was vast, over two-hundred flashbacks, using all of the dancefloor
hits from the time and stripping them of energy and spirit, turning them into shadows and ghosts. The
material pre-dates the recent obsession younger musicians have for re-creating remembered rave textures
and memories. This was not nostalgia, It was an inverted paean to a time when the music was about bringing
people together for a shared experience. A time when only the music and advancement of sound and getting
on one mattered.
Of course 'The Death Of Rave' was vast, too vast to digest. It was available for free download for a number
of years via the V/Vm Test label. In the end the 'The Death Of Rave' died itself when the V/Vm Test website
was deleted in full in 2008. In the intervening years I have at various times re-visited the work. And so eight
tracks were lifted from the project and have now been remastered by Matt Colton as a 'document from a dead
past'. A monument to a lost work, an idea finally set in stone via a physical format. Proof of its existence.
Ivan Seal himself a veteran of the original 'rave times' provides the glorious cover artwork in keeping with
all 'History Favours The Winners' releases. The track-listing is in reference to the strongest rave-memories I
have from those nights. The people, the DJ's, the cars, the violence and the long lost clubs. Flashbacks only, now
consigned to my own dusty experiences. ''They danced like they never had before. They danced in the darkest
hour before daybreak.' It's dead now, over. Long may it live...'
'Collective memory was the subject of the Death Of Rave project, inspired by Kirby's participation in the
Manchester club scene of the late eighties and early nineties. Recalling the surge years of rave between 1988-
96, Kirby says ''Everyone thought everything was possible on those long nights. The World was ours. Now I
think this generation is very disillusioned. They saw a glimpse of light on the dance floors, but that light has
gone out and the future seems grim and predictable.''

Vladislav Delay meets Finnish Twwth on the fourth drop from his eponymous imprint. Both tracks were galvanized from the sessions laid down by the duo at Ripatti's studio, making for some of the most forward, rugged gear in either's arsenal. The A-side is strobing, hyper-kinetic realignment of Chicago Footwork factored with sculpted subbass propulsion, fibrillating percussion and bleak, Carpenter- esque pads. The B-side brings the funk in a different style, percolating skittish hi-hats and hydraulic subs with the kind of polymetric momentum that could tie Storyboard P in knots. Proper, nexx-level grooves from the cold, cold north.

DAAT, Montreal's most dynamic musical duo, return to the fold with another slice of futuristic sonic soundscaping. Representing the next step in the evolution of their own Detuned Transmissions imprint, both 'Fridge' and 'Apache' take us deeper than ever before into DAAT's world.

True to its namesake, 'Fridge' isn't moving an inch for anyone. Obnoxiously aggressive and all the better for it, the disruptive bass tones and mechanical yearnings of the track cast a despotic shadow that cannot be ignored.

'Apache' is the music from the opening scene of the greatest cyberpunk film that never was. Cast aside any pretenders, DAAT have sent another
transmission from the not-so-distant future, and the outlook is bleak. For those that believe in music beyond the dancefloor, this is for you.

Astro:Dynamics finally drops Frida-Li Lovgren aka Quiltland's self-titled LP, following on from the Sisto EP a couple of weeks ago. Combines a pop-orientated experimental approach where a new-age fragility sits alongside a tape-sautrated euro trance palette, at times recalling the works of Lars 'TCF' Holdhus or Lorenzo Senni but with a more saccarine-sweet and vocal-fuelled edge. The 10-track LP also features a remix from fellow swede and labelmate 1991.

Strut teams up once again with Rodion Rosça, Romania's rejuvenated electronic
music pioneer, to make available an intriguing lost film soundtrack for the first time
anywhere. Inspired by early '80s Star Wars mania‚ Victor Antonescu had first
created 'Misuinea Spatiala Delta' ('Delta Space Mission') as a domestic animated
TV series in 1983. Despite recording a 15-minute prototype score, Rodion's music
was tragically shelved at a late stage, remaining an unreleased oddity in his
archive until now.

Turn Back Time, out 23rd December. The single follows the huge hit Turn It Around, featuring Kele Okereke from Bloc Party and is taken from Torus, which debuted at #11 on the Official Albums Chart. With Turn Back Time, Sub Focus was inspired by people on YouTube talking about how they missed raving at The Hacienda in 1991. It samples old ragga and is mixed with 90's rave, with the lyrics too focused on the nostalgia to that time. On the forthcoming release, Sub Focus has announced remixes of Turn Back Time with Metrik, Special Request and Bro Safari. All will be released, along with the original track, as an exclusive bundle on iTunes on 22nd December.

With one of the most talked about, impressive live shows in electronic music, which uses ground breaking audio reactive and circular LED technology, Sub Focus wowed a sold out crowd at the Roundhouse in Camden as part of his impressive sold out UK headline tour last month. 'Black Frames' is a creation from two major life transitions for Dave Aju, namely the end of a long-term relationship combined with a move away from his home town of San Francisco. Punctuated with philosophical statements and political punches, the former MC proves he isn't afraid to use his voice and production skills to unite music and passion with his latest album on Circus Company. The outer rhythms of deep-rooted electronic music form the backbone of 'Black Frames', while its veins are filled with the red­-hot attitude of hip­hop, outerspace soul, and forthright lyrical content. A remarkable variety of songs covering topics such as personal relationships ('Psylica'), cultural issues ('Race on Haight') and global government actions ('Law') rock alongside bass­-centered dancefloor bombs like 'Nu Threads' and 'Clean St'. Through its body, Aju also tips his hat to 60s psych rock, early 70s fusion, and the soft undertones of blues as can be felt in the Magnum Opus of 'Vins Noirs' with it's full choir finale, the wildly fun and uptempo 'Bee's Birth' and the reflective close of 'When We Drift'. Alessandro Cortini is best known as the lead electronics performer in Nine Inch Nails' live unit.

His recordings under his own name have gained prominence in recent years and he has become known as one of the pre-eminent Buchla masters in North America. Cortini makes a surprising departure into the 202 on his debut album for Hospital Productions - 'Sonno'.

'Sonno' was recorded in hotel rooms, using a Roland MC 202 through a delay pedal, recorded direct,
sometimes into a small portable speaker system. 'I liked to walk around the room with a handheld recorder to hear where the sequence would sound better, turn on faucets, open doors or windows to see how the ambient sounds would interact with the MC 202/delay/speaker sound. It was very relaxing and liberating to make music this way...'

The result is a beautifully restrained yet oddly emotive album that's quite distinct from the overly academic approach so often undertaken by hardware driven devotees.

The track takes a creative drum pattern and edges forward with mutant bass and space age pads very much reminding of bygone Headz tracks, breaks and edits keep the track popping through its course.
* The Gully
Exactly that, gully. It's an exercise in how to get a dancefloor moving, contorted bass, big stepping drums. Great for DJ's and dancers- kept interesting and even changing its step at the very end of the track showing an attention to detail sadly missing in this day and age.
* Ju-Ken (Feat Throwing Snow)
For the final track on the release Mako and Throwing Snow go head to head on a track that takes he the meeting point of broken beat, jungle, dubstep and house- Full of energy, drum breaks, and vibes. Its perfect meeting point of the two producers styles and will no doubt get massive attention from both sides of the spectrum.

The 2nd EP by Moon Zero. 'LOSS' is the result of a year spent working out how to play Moon Zero live and then going on to play concerts. Using a wide range of instrumentation such ad drawbar organ, bass synth, vocals, fx processors and guitar pedals, Loss was written & recorded over 2 days at St George in The East Church in London, October 2013.

S-Types rise started in Spring 2012. Emerging, gleaming and show-stopping from Rustie's seminal BBC Essential mix was a track called 'Billboard' from a new producer that was part of the LuckyMe family as far back as his teenage years.

The track had Soundcloud and blog commentators looking around for the hugest most galactic superlatives for this 'superhero' music. As skyscraping as the biggest US hip hop instrumentals but born of the ferment of Glasgow's world-WOWing club world, it made it into end of year 'Best Of' polls as well as the DJ sets of Rustie, TNGHT,and Benji B.

S-Type AKA 27 YO Scot Bobby Perman started getting recognised down the shops Glasgow. He was catapulted onto a 30 + date US tour and found himself in the studio with kindred spirits AraabMuzik and Baauer. There were rumours of national electronic goods adverts in South Korea and S-Type tracks in the running for inclusion on Drakes Nothing Was The Same album. On 19th Sept 2013, the buzz started all over again as LuckyMe family member Éclair Fifi dropped a new S-Type tune 'Rosario' on her BBC Radio 1 In New DJs We Trust show. Now LuckyMe can announce the wait is over. LM017 AKA S-Type's 'Rosario' EP is coming out on 16/6/2014.

'Rosario' sets the scene with a 2 min intro called 'Outside (Inside)', featuring Rustie and YC The Cynic, a rapper from Hunts Pont, The Bronx that XXL called 'one of the most promising artists in recent years', the complex wordplay sounding perfect over Bobby's wide screen arrangement. 'Franco' is a fierce club banger with plenty of his signature chord work. 'Lost Girls' stunts and fizzes in the way only an S-Type track can.

For the outro 'Inside (Outro)', Bobby's sweeping instrumental sets the scene for Long Island MC (and one time Flipmode Squad member) Roc Marciano, who sharply describes the beat as 'historic'. S-Type addicts, he's back.

Save's 'Monsters And Fairies' is an abandoned hotel room located somewhere between England and Spain. It's real for some while for others it's just a fantasy. Who knows

Its in this exact same place that the american singer/vocalist Craig Louis Higgins Jr. (Paranoid London/Mutado Pintado/Black Daniel), the australian singer/composer Saskia Sansom and the fench electronic music composer Marc Nguyen Tan (Colder) got together to record these songs during the year 2012. However some listeners will find interesting to know, that until today, the three of them have never actually met in person.

Four tracks from this experience are available now on limited 10' vinyl with original artwork by London artist Sara Pope.

Formed in opposition to the media identity schizophrenia of the present, Thought Broadcast thrive upon the post-punk tactics of forgery and radical anonymity. "Votive Zero" is the second release on Editions Mego from this mysteriously coded American outfit. Emerging from the US noise/punk background Thought Broadcast further trace a unique path with nine carefully considered obfuscations of rhythm and blurred takes on expressionism. Utilising minimalist spaces, rhythmic repetition and material textures "Votive Zero" navigates psycho-geometries whilst bathing in a lost, dubplate style fidelity. Within this construction, past and present are unified as a hazily paranoid exploration of electronic music's nebulous grey zone. From the damaged mystery of "07/13/2013" to the smeared beats of "Carving a Vow" and morse code mantra of "Runaway Signal" this ambiguous release treads a subtle and suspicious path where secrets once hidden are revealed on further, deeper listens. "Votive Zero" is a sustained journey through raw, hand rendered minimal electronics which advance the cause and effect of Thought Broadcast's strategic occurrences.

The main idea behind the Traces series is to excavate short, forgotten or ignored pieces of music from the GRM Archives. This third volume, gathering pieces from before 1980, features the works of four composers from very different geographical and musical backgrounds: Charles Clapaud « Ruptures » (1978), Janez Maticic « Hypnos (extrait de Trois Visions) » (1975), Servio Tulio Marin « Impresiones Fugitivas » (1976), Eugeniusz Rudnik « Moulin Diabolique » (1979).

Hot on the heels of their stunning album release Fabiola, Da Lata ease into Summer with a release primed for the festival season, and World Cup 2014. Two stunning remixes from Fabiola coupled with the much praised All-stars Live version of "Ronco Da Cuica" make this a package to be reckoned with. Perfect sonics, rolling bass, beats and sublime keys lift Mayra's plaintive vocal for the dance-floor; deep but accessible, smooth but still funky, this is pedigree House music for 2014. Finally Drumagick work their wizardry in the timeless Brazilian drum and bass style on "Deixa". maintaining all the charm and subtle swing of Jandira Silva's vocal but double timing the beats, changing the bass, and adding some of their own instrumental flourishes they make this as classic as anything in this fertile sub-genre. Available on a twelve inch for vinyl freaks and music lovers this is a taster for a fully fledged remix album which will also include freshly recorded live Da Lata material !

The memorial first release "Yoisura Bushi" is performed by the famous singer Ikue Asazaki from Amami Island the southern part of Japan. She continues her performance not only throughout Japan but also outside of Japan including Carnegie Hall, NY, Los Angeles, Cuba etc.. Another song "Obokuri-Eeumi" is known as the theme song of world famous animation "Samrai Champloo". "Yoisura Bushi" is a traditional Amami Island song of prayers for the safety of sailors. Remix is done by Kuniyuki, who is a great artist famous around the world and highly regarded by talented DJs like Joe Claussell, Francois K, DJ Nature etc.. Once again Impish and Vasilisa return to Occulti with some new stuff to show, and this time its a 6 track album "Underwater", which brought together the material written in the course of 2008 to 2013.
The mini album is dramatically simple in its concept, but deeply soaked with rainy vibes and loaded with powerful bass lines that have proven themselves worthy over the years on Moscow's underground dance floors. The two dark dance floor shakers Keep Quite and Tunnel have been chosen for the 12inch vinyl. The CD topped off with beautiful photograph by Ilya Kisaradov is released alongside with the vinyl. It contains the oldest and the most stormy of the tracks Don't Let Me Down, the heartfelt Why, Lonely Street and Haze, which has been released on vinyl in the early 2014 at the fellow label Audio Plants and had already make some noise on the dance floors.

Kalbata (Ariel Tagar) is a techno & 2-step producer who previously released on labels such as Soul Jazz, Brownswood and Greenmoney. Kalbata did a string of high profile remixes for artists such as Fat Freddy's Drop, Spank Rock, The Count & Sinden and Roll Deep, collaborated with Warrior Queen and is also the man behind reissue labels Fortuna and Spring Hill Records. Mixmonster (Uri Wertheim) is the man behind funk band 'The Apples' as well as a member of cut-n-paste duo Radiotrip.


Ariel and Uri went into their home studio ago in Tel Aviv, Israel with the purpose of recording a 100% analogue dub album in the spirit of the late King Tubby and the early dancehall era of the late 70's and early 80's. A 16-track tape machine and an old analogue mixing desk were their main instruments, with musicians playing live all throughout the album.


A year after recording the instrumental backing tracks, they travelled to Kingston, Jamaica and started tracking down their favourite singers and deejays from days gone by.


The resulting long playeris on the one hand truly loyal to the origins of Jamaican music and on the other, a well produced forward thinking album, sounding totally fresh in today's music aesthetics. It will also rattle your speakers in ways not heard since the heyday of reggae & dub!

The Longing Daylight, the sophomore effort from Lee Anthony Norris and Porya Hatami, is a natural followup to Every Day is a New Drug. Once again working with their familiar recipe of field recordings, electronics, and improvised live piano, Lee and Porya dig deeper into their trademark windswept, decaying, yet delicate sound to produce an ambient masterpiece that is sure to delight their fans. Clocking in at just over 39 minutes, the 5 tracks of The Longing Daylight are just long enough to keep the listener aurally satisfied, while at the same time wanting more.

Finally available on a standard-issue 34 track double vinyl pressing .... there's nothing like a good bit of early warning - and this is indeed nothing like it - it's out next week. Back in the 1990s, "beat tapes," as a hip hop producer's demo-reel is now quaintly referred to, were literally that: cassettes of beats made either for self, friends, or potential collaborators. Madlib cranked out a bunch of 'em in the days between his early productions for the Alkaholiks around 1992, and the release of his Quasimoto album in 2000, after which he took a couple of years off the beats to focus on his fictional jazz outfit Yesterdays New Quintet. This collection showcases the way that Madlib's early hip hop demos were filtered out to his friends and associates and provides an opportunity for a unique view into his working process. These beats, often freestyled on whatever machine he had at the ready, were picked up by rappers over a period of many years, including tracks later used by the likes of Wildchild and Percee P yet created some years before release. This collection is also punctuated with a series of early solo raps by Madlib and his Quasimoto alter ego, and features the crew known collectively as CDP : rappers who worked side by side with Madlib during the early days of his Oxnard-based Crate Diggas Palace studios.

Red Light started as a pact between Kerri LeBon and Rachel Aiello in early 2013,though neither of them had any prior musical experience, they both were determined to dive head first into creating their first recordings...their music being generally angst and moody, the two girls sought to beautify their suffering through sound.

The release will be their 1st productions from the prior year with 3 tracks altogether over the 7 inch.

The A side presents an ever-descent dark and broody song called Obedient sung by Kerri Lebon programmed by Rachel Aiello as the arrangement is very expressive of what was envisioned for the track.

The B side presents 2 different takes on the original demo called Your Move. The 1st track is the demo that presents raw metal clacking-scape tones of a field recording of harmonic poetry in an inner lust/sanctuary
while the 2nd track is a new version with a finished feel to it that the original did not that we could reference to jakbeat with a unique thrust of cosmic synth tones riddling the space between lucid dreams and electronic rhythm of the future. "

Since proving a fine collaborative duo in their last Horizons Music release, Dabs and MC Kwality return with a doubly as powerful effort. Stentah is ruthless to say the least, Kwality's aggressive, yet controlled delivery is complemented by Dab's huge, kick drum driven groove. Junglistic at its core and massively original.
B. Half Truth
Smooth yet edgy, ethereal yet raw, Half Truth is one of those tunes that combines all the elements. A repeating piano sample delivers a constant harmony whilst the faultless beat cuts a passage through the ambience. A throbbing sub provides a resonant, yet tamed bassline that seamlessly pulses underneath the ample body of sonic elements.

'Untitled' opens up, building behind a gently reverberated 4/4 kick and interchanging hat sequences. Hypnotic, off-kilter samples and subtle flecks of acid generate a brooding and purposeful tone as a sense pressure builds throughout.

'Tribalz' steadily grows with space echo tails drifting in amongst full and tenebrous pads. A brash and busy 2-step rhythm emerges as an overdriven kick sticks wood-blocks and cowbells to the floor. In a manner akin to the likes of Joe and Blawan, rattling rhythms are mapped across all corners of the mix with imperious accuracy.

Dub To Me is a record with powerful dub roots, recorded with the collaboration of Ferdinando Masi (Casino Royale, Blue Beaters) and Cato Senatore (Africa Unite, Blue Beaters), certainly two of the best Italian reggae musicians. Ezra takes cue from the genre masters (King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, Mad Professor, Tappa Zukie, Prince Far I) to create an ideal soundtrack for a hypothetic interstellar voyage. Electronics mix with acoustic instruments and recording studio experimentation. Piano strings played with hands, percussions and noises mix with synthesizers and a massive use of effects. Broken rhythms and constantly evolving structures push Dub To Me away from the classic canons of the genre making it always original and brave. After 32 quality digital only releases and after launching the careers of some very talented young producers Deep Edition have made the respected move into the world of wax and the only real obvious move to keep the label growing and gaining support from its peers, The first vinyl release, see's label head Martijn produce two original club tracks that form the 'Make Me Feel Ep', both are very close to the sound of the moment from the 'Hot' camp but are built on solid sub-bass & beats taking the sound into darker territories. A touch of classical music, left field electronics, ambient love affairs, and discreet dubby house emotions without a kick drum: the third instalment of Mule Musiq's famed - Enjoy the Silence' sampler serial swings gentle, tricky, and multidimensional. Already twice before the label from Tokyo delivered compilations full of music by contemporary artists that explore sounds beyond the common definition of ambient. This time the atmosphere is focusing on avant-garde textures that got a touch of very diverse genres and styles. What all tracks have in common: they spread music that allows the listener to stop time and reflect on things. As Mule Musiq always been a label that got some core artists once again Koss, Lawrence, and DJ Sprinkles aka Terre Thaemlitz are part of a dovelike sound cruise that allows you to be in many spaces and places at the same time. Beside them some new names on the label like Vermont, Recondite, Petre Inspirescu, or John Roberts deliver musical voyages that seem to be produced by unique subconscious decisions and not by assembly line craftsmanship for art.

The shadowy UK techno artist, A Sagittariun, releases his debut album this November, to coincide with the Sagittarius zodiac period.

Following his debut EP "Heartbox", Blockboy's new release "Monument Of The Broken Souls" is a highly complex and entertaining record.

Again, it would be very hard to label his sound, but still the mix of HipHop-Beats, catchy melodies, all sorts of sampling and Blues influences is astonishingly homogenous.

The inspiration to many of these sound jewels are faded voices of the past - old Blues records from Blockboy's Vinyl treasury. Accordingly, this record is dedicated to them: to the "broken souls"!

The vinyl LP is strictly limited to 300 copies. Certainly a future collector's item not only due to the limited press run but the high quality production and sound.

ARTIST INFO

As an avowing vinyl-junkie, the native of Munich sees his inspirational roots mainly in Beat and Rockmusic of the early 70s as well as in the New York HipHop of the 90s.

In his recording studio and atelier in an old building flat in Munich, he regularly descends into spheres of visual art and sound. With attention to detail, the communication designer plays and records all instruments himself, strictly according to the motto: keep it real!

To put a label on Blockboy's sound is not easy, since he shifts between many genres - one characteristic though is his affection for detailed samples of Vinyl treasures, which he skillfully transforms and refines.

Along with the band 'Octopussies', a HipHop-Funk combo, that he was founding member, guitarist and musical lead of, Blockboy already has a lot of live experience - with hand-made music and real instruments.

After releasing first tracks on the Sampler "Yummy! Yummy!", followed by the release of his debut EP "Heartbox", he finally made the full transition to electronic musician on his first LP, titled "Monument Of The Broken Souls".

Coco, Steel & Lovebomb last got together in 1994 to make an album for Warp Records called It.

20 years later, on mid summers day, the enigmatic trio return with The Chillout Album, a kind of homage to 90s chillout rooms and lost weekends at festivals.

The tracks were made in a series of late night sessions in various south London studios under the heavy influence of many crackly vinyl spins of classic albums by Eno, KLF and Laraaji; with label mates Deekie, James McArthur and Haraket popping in to contribute too.

This is 44 minutes and 44 seconds of melodies and grooves interwoven with found sound and analogue noise, making one long, immersive piece that demands repeat listening.

The Chillout Album will be released on June 21, mid summer's day, CD and Digital, on Melodica Recordings.

To celebrate the release and the summer, one third of the band, DJ Chris Coco will be DJing an extended ambient version of the album at Heaven, Glastonbury Festival on Friday June 27 and the Ambient Forest at Bestival on Friday 5 September and Festival No 6 on Sunday 7 September.

Hot on the heels of his successful autumnal tour of Europe, the antipodean beatsmith and low-riding soul-brother, Inkswel, arrives on the eighth 12 from Burek Records. Considering Inkswel's been working with people like Merwyn from Virgo Four, Gifted & Blessed and Linkwood for the third release on his own Hot Shot Sounds imprint, we weren't surprised when he told us about the recent collaboration he'd had with Dave Aju. Naturally we were keen to get this out into the world, complementing it with great remixes and additional tracks from Inkswel. The A-side comprises three funkadelicious, shape-throwing, pop-locking slices featuring the talents of San Fran's Dave Aju, Melbourne's Cazeaux O.S.L.O, Christchurch's Isaac Aesili and Adelaide's Charli James. They wear their shared love for hiphop on their sleeves, replicating old school sampling techniques and twinning them with a feel for modernity. The open kicks and sax thrills that begin 'No More Suckas' cement syrupy pads and swirling keys as Dave Aju rhymes about that classic conundrum, being given the chance for a night of intimate relations. Rotascoping blips and pads combined with fat bass work underpin the conscious spoken word poetry of 'Mind Yours', and 'Saturated' closes the side with razor-sharp claps, wonky chords and 808 cowbells laying the foundation for vocal call and responses. In classic turntablist style the bonus beat track 'Oishi Stylus' is also included, evoking the Pacific Rim's interconnectivity with its Nipponese flavours cut over solid beats. This ain't hip-house, it's hiphop-house.

Cold Mission is the debut album from east London-based producer Logos: it features fellow producers Mumdance, Dusk + Blackdown and Rabit. That Logos is member of two emerging underground collectives - new school grime specialists Boxed and the Keysound Recordings' 130bpm family - it gives you a rough sense of his whereabouts. At the first flickers of the album intro Ex101, you begin to sense the scope and scale of Logos' 'Mission.' His modus operandi is twin strike of connection and disconnection: he lurks in the spaces between places, both literally - down badly lit Eastend back streets - and figuratively, swerving between established musical nodes with the mission of finding new ones. It's suspended in the tension between then, now and what's to come. In simpler terms: Logos is a junglist but this is not a jungle album. He's a grime head but this is not a grime long player. This is an excursion in the dissolutions of forms and edges; of the elongation of patterns into repetitive plateaus of intensity. The album bristles with tension: for the 'Cold...' component it is like he dissolved the intros of a thousand darkside jungle 12's and dripped them into his analog hardware. The album features Keysound Recordings label bosses Dusk + Blackdown on the UKG exoskeleton 'Alien Shapes,' while eski excursionist Rabit collaborates on 'Swarming.' In 2013 Logos has formed a fruitful production partnership with Mumdance and their hyper-intense 'Wut It Do' features on the album, following their anthemic but paradoxical Keysound releases 'In Reverse' and 'In Reverse PIV'. Logos's 2012 'Kowloon EP' was recently lauded by Fact Magazine as 'year zero' and 'the catalyst' for a talented new wave of grime-inspired producers. Alongside artists like Beneath, Wen, Visionist, E.m.m.a., Moleskin and Etch, Logos forms part of a new wave sonically exploring the 130bpm space and finding life and creativity again in edgy 'London retro futuristic music.

Full Pupp's Daniel "Blackbelt" Andersen and Optimo's JD Twitch respectively - Blackbelt with a signature eyes-on-the-(mirror)ball techno shuffle, utilizing the rave-stabs from the original "Monster" tune to full effect, while JD Twitch opens his drawer full of old hip-hop breaks and adds a razor-sharp bass synth for a truly gut-punching and sub-heavy take on "Ritual".
