RE-ENGINEERING is the bold new album from Heatsick, aka Berlin based British artist Steven Warwick. Well known for his epic multi-hour live club sets and acerbic wit, he characterises this collection of new material as a 'cybernetic poem' that both indulges us in the mores of hypnotic dance music while holding a critical, and at times satirical, lens toward the culture writ large.
The opening title track is symbolic of this balance, the crisp spoken word poetry communicating hypermodernity in crisis in a piece that equally evokes the masked humour of Chic and the biting surreality of Chris Morris. 'Modern life is still rubbish you
say. Modern rubbish is still life'. The tracks 'MIMOSA' and 'SPECULATIVE' play with a similar conflict, warping the themes
of modern luxury familiar to Malcolm McLaren's seminal 'Paris' album, and delivering rare vocal lines that convey distance and a degree of uneasiness. The masterful club tracks that constitute the bulk of this album feel all the more powerful and honest when framed in this hyper aware context, confirming the underlying inclusiveness in Warwick's music and perspective.

undeniably his own. Treading an equally as distinctive path throughout their illustrious career, Japanese experimentalists Boredoms
contribute their own vision of 'Parts 1-7', an inspired pairing that's offered up in advance as a tantalising glimpse into the forthcoming
record.

The next release on Diagonal, the London-based label curated by Powell and Jaime Williams, will come from multidisciplinary artist and electronic noise veteran Russell Haswell. Provocative and abrasive, yet fascinated with the possibilities and physicality of electronic sound, Haswell has assembled a formidable body of work over two decades, taking in (among other things) digital noise recordings, experiments in immersive surround sound and an acclaimed series of collaborations with Florian Hecker.

Titled 37 Minute Workout, Haswell's album for Diagonal is the label's second full-length album release, following on from Death Comet Crew's recent Ghost Among The Crew. It's the latest instalment in an ongoing run of prolific and powerful form from Haswell, and follows on from his crushing live set at Diagonal's first London showcase last year. But it also marks a slight shift in his work. Although having long been inspired by Detroit techno pioneers like Jeff Mills and having DJ'd and curated many club events over the years, defined beats have rarely been a core feature in Haswell's tracks. Following last year's noise-wracked dancefloor collaboration with Regis as Concrete Fence, sections of 37 Minute Workout are overtly rhythm driven, in keeping with the label's 'club music' ethos — their strobing beats and interference suggesting techno torn to bloody shreds before being reassembled in chaotic new configurations.

The album's title, although in part a nod to Paul Morley once stating that the perfect album length was 37 minutes, also alludes to this strenuously physical nature. Opener 'Spring Break Extended' springs from the tracks in a salvo of rough-hewn breakbeats, peaking nastily in the red to bleach out your field of hearing. Paired tracks 'Unknown Harm' and 'Incalculable Harm' are all acute angles and jarring changes in direction; dragging your body violently back and forth, they repeatedly tease you with the momentary promise of a groove before gleefully ripping it away. And 'Alternate Ways To The Truth' suggests a strange, psychologically penetrative electro, its clusters of kicks seeming to emanate from deep inside your inner ear.
37 Minute Workout is among Haswell's most varied albums to date, finding him nodding — sometimes overtly, sometimes less so — towards the many influences that have worked their way into his music. The eerie 'Chaos Clapping' and its reprise, which bridge the record's two sides, are subtle homages to Steve Reich, while 'In Memorium Of Elph' is an ode to Coil and their 1990s explorations of digital glitch. He also cites the album as being informed by the work of contemporaries that have inspired him over the years, ranging from Skinny Puppy and Adrian Sherwood to Autechre, Aphex Twin and British extreme music pioneers Carcass and Napalm Death.

If the presence of these musical connections isn't necessarily overt within Haswell's work — as ever, 37 Minute Workout is rendered in his own distinctly caustic and intricate sonic language — what shines through is a shared uncompromising streak and a joy in being overwhelmed by sound. The album's second half trips into abstract and divergent territory: the splattery overloads of 'Scratchy' and 'Scratchy (Freeze Dub)', and 'Blast Beats' all staggered grinds and high pitched whine. Yet it ends, perhaps surprisingly, on an entirely more contemplative note. The two minute drone of 'Convalescence' brings 37 Minute Workout full circle, offering a brief moment of decompression to close an album whose broad range encapsulates many avenues of Haswell's work to date, and hints towards many more in future.

37 Minute Workout is released mid-February on both vinyl LP and digital download formats. The vinyl comes in a high gloss, spot-UV varnished sleeve with black and white inner — designed, as always, by Guy Featherstone.

Jaws is a reality based sound and performance project by Robert Girardin. Influenced by the everyday rhythmic impressions of sight and movement, it uses electronics and voice to put forth a dense and slithering sound with lyrics reflecting the labrythine confines and possibilities of life. In late 2011 Jaws released its first album, the crash-informed 'Stress Test' on Hundebiss Records. This was followed by a collaboration with Milan's Dracula Lewis as the Sex Boyz, a post-analogue reimagining of two sneering Germs songs, released on Ultra Eczema. In 2012 Jaws was the inaugural act for Ashland Mine's highly-praised 'Blasting Voice' performance series, staged at the Suzanne Geiss gallery in downtown Manhattan. The creator behind Jaws has for years worked with New York's Excepter, touring Europe and recording three albums. He is a current member of Hippos In Tanks act White Car. Disruption and interference aren't words you ordinarily associate with pop or dance music, but Planningtorock is on a mission to unseat all norms. On her new album All Love's Legal, she leaves you in no doubt as to the seriousness of her vision of transnational gender equality. Surprisingly, given that Western dance music is born out of black, queer music, it rarely touches upon these themes, but All Love's Legal is a refreshingly direct statement of political intent.

Wie bei Hiroshis früheren Alben sind wir hocherfreut, eine spezielle "Beatless"-Version der LP ankündigen zu können - unter dem Titel LESS TIME UNTIL THE END wirft dieses ein neues Licht auf das originale Werk.

Electric charges on Hantasive. Kaumwald lights up his dials and twists out five rolling generations to terrify and animate. Plying a line between glitch-like manifestation and cruder analogue sewage, these tracks are forged from degrees of digital and analogue that give a contemporary edge to the grotty greyscale industrial & proto-rhythm you might find whilst digging through the Vanity Records catalogue. Warm kicks and clipping digital synthesis is interlaced with acoustic sourcing and a curious, magnetic primacy - developing vital colour and tactility to these here wares. Think to those contemporary and necessary combinations of computer and combustion engine, but repurposed to a more Jean Tinguely-esque display of machinery for machineries-sake; built to chatter and clunk, to error, and essentially deteriorate. That quest for the perfect minimal weirdo beat re-cut for now.

The rich, dark sound of Lumisokea, the Belgian-Italian duo of Andrea Taeggi and Koenraad Ecker, annexes a dark, foreboding aura from an abundance of reference points  - codifying and making concrete the connections that which might otherwise have been elusive or intangible in the worlds of noise, dub, techno and musique concrète. Apophenia follows their Opal Tapes debut Contrapasso, and sees their sound continue to develop; growing in intensity and twisting into more complex, aggressive, and euphorically bent shapes. All seems abstract, not as 'whoa, that's weird', but as though every element exists in direct opposition with nature and organic order. Industrial and technoid beats are rolled over sub-sonic, hyper-digital abrasions of noise and synthetic texture to reinforce and fortify the more extreme end of Opal's sonic interests. Synthetic stomp and precise, premeditated glissandi form sonic sculptures where the unreal is turned towards something frighteningly palpable

Der Titel des neuen Longplayers der belgischen Electro-Industrial-Legende lautet "When Evil Speaks" und ist auch absolut kein leeres Versprechen, denn diesmal hat Band-Kopf und Szene-Ikone Johan van Roy noch tiefer in der dunklen Seite der menschlichen Psyche gebohrt. Dass dabei kein Easy-Listening-Material herausgekommen ist, versteht sich fast von selbst und so erwartet den Hörer ein angemessen heftiger Trip aus psychotischen Shouts, knüppelharten Beats und dunklen Soundflächen. Mit "When Evil Speaks" steht dabei ein neuer Club-Hit in den Startlöchern, der, genau wie "In Guns We Trust" dazu prädestiniert ist, die Tanzflächen zu füllen. Doch das Album bietet mehr als nur Tanzflächenmaterial: es ist vielmehr eine Reise in die Abgründe der menschlichen Existenz und durch alle Facetten des Hasses, welche sich wie ein roter Faden durch alle Songs zieht. Titel wie "Monster" konfrontieren uns mit der verabscheuenswürdigen Seite der Spezies Mensch, während "Repent Or Perish" und "My Blasphemy" die Irrwege und Gefahren der Religion aufzeigen. Christian Marclay, DJ Rashad, LFO, Dilla, Luc Ferrari... Chorus is the new single from Holly Herndon, the inimitable artist and technologist responsible for 2012's acclaimed album, Movement. Another evolution in her production technique, Chorus bridges multiple disciplines and spaces to blur the politic between natural and synthetic. For 'Chorus', Herndon sampled her daily browsing experience, channeling YouTube, Skype and other audio sources across the web for data that freely forms atop a bumping beat. Much like online browsing, 'Chorus' creates a coherent/incoherent experience from disparate conceptual and contextual sources. 'Chorus' continues Herndon's emphasis on vocal processing, crafted with polyphonic passages from live vocal takes and re-synthesized instances of her own voice and those foraged and sampled. 'Chorus' may come as a stylistic deviation from Movement, but more accurately continues Herndon's practice outside of genre orthodoxy — a stratosphere where multiple styles and histories are experienced in her personal laptop space. In contrast to the laborious studio effort that went into the a-side, 'Solo Voice' was tracked in a single take. 'Solo Voice' takes a rhythmic, polyphonic vocal effect customized by Herndon and spreads it across a spectrum of song to sputter for a unsettling minimalist accomplishment. Chorus is a timely reminder ahead of Herndon's next album that her universe is one meticulously crafted with each creative and technological discovery.

There we are : Two years have passed already again since the last single by Jazzanova, "I Human".

"Never change a winning team" is the name of the formula for success with the current coup "Now There Is We". Once again Paul Randolph takes care of vocal business and wrote lyrics that are as uplifting as only he can provide. The outcome is a infectious hybrid of vocal house and soulful pop. When Randolph repeats the line "There was me, now there is we, I never go back..." at the climax of the song, you notice that he's not only celebrating a romantic triumph, but also the community spirit of a well-functioning band, well maybe even of a party in sheer harmony.

The trademark of the track though is the ultra deep bass line along the sophisticated live drum programming fitting every house-set perfectly. Therefore you get that's how service orientated Sonar Kollektiv is the instrumental version on the flipside of this illustrious 10inch of vinyl.

True to the original spirit of Tectonic. With a sense of grand simplicity the duo have managed to seamlessly merge elements of UK hardcore-jungle, pounding, mesmerising techno, gut-wrenching grime and paranoid dubstep into the dancefloor beast that is 'Legion'. Rising panic is struck immediately from the dissonant strings that lead you into the rhythm, before luring you into an ambushing in the foam a pounding, relentless, weighted kick pattern. The vibe builds until a calculated submarine blip signals the start of an emerging, creeping reese baseline - ready to fully terrorise any dancefloor, anywhere. This is a weapon you want in your DJ bag. 128bpm danger zone. Flip for 'Proto', continuing the old-skool jungle vibes and rolling them out, again, at 128bpm. 'I don't throw the words avant-garde and celestial around lightly but this touches the very nerve of the craft of this music drum and bass; many years from now when we look back this tune will be a 'waypoint' of the times.' Goldie, CEO MetalheadzA dreamteam collaboration to start off Critical's 2012 season from the hugely lauded Sabre, who returns after a long break since his astonishing debut album of 2010, Stray and Halogenix. The perfect antidote to soothe us out of those January blues, simply gorgeous. 'Oblique' kicks off with a delicate but tough break that cuts through the mix as gentle pads wash over the soundscape to a breakdown that oozes class and a deft touch. Subtle to the end this is a serious piece of music; reach for yourheadphones and drift away.The trio get a little harder on the flipside with 'St. Clair', a track that toys on the tech-step tip for a slice of glitchy D&B naughtiness. A sprinkle of vocal cuts and blip FX joined by some polished bass make for a peak-time floor filler perfect to get any club bouncing. Also included is a truly sumptuous downbeat remix of 'Oblique' from Manchester's Synkro, a name fast becoming synonymous with the very best in bass music. Valcrond Video, the label of Brooklyn-based visual artist and producer Luke Wyatt presents it's very first vinyl issue in the shape of two new tracks from Torn Hawk, one of Wyatt's aliases. First coming to the fore in a musical sense with a set of distressed guitar and asphalt beat attacks on the LIES White Label series, Torn Hawk has been closely associated with Ron Morelli's label ever since with Wyatt subsequently working with Karen Gwyer, Secret Circuit and Willie Burns. Distancing himself a bit from the grime and grit some associate with his productions, the two new tracks have more in common with the more expansively voiced compositions on Emotional Response release Teen Hawk, or the cinematic melancholy of the untitled EP he released under the alias Lossmaker. Clearly Wyatt is building towards housing all his musical instincts under one roof.

A powerful metaphor for new love forms the centre of Bonobo's new single, First Fires. A perfect representation of what makes new album The North Borders so profound, Grey Reverend's verbal subject matter is married inextricably to Simon Green's delicate, highly charged production. This is no random guest vocal, it's a perfectly conceived, powerfully moving love song. The opening bars evoke the tentative drama of beginning to fall in love; the bass textures and gradually strengthening percussion fill the listener with anticipation. Green is now a master of his art, his genius showing in the small touches - delicate percussions, beautiful, unexpected chord changes - and adding up to a bigger picture that's genuinely moving. The track swells and swirls, moving naturally from a minimal beginning to something much fuller and richer. The more emotionally in touch among us might compare that to the process of love itself.

B side "Heaven For the Sinner", Bonobo's much vaunted collaboration with the legendary Erykah Badu, makes this single a true microcosm of The North Borders itself. Brimming with confidently expressed emotion, thrilling change- ups and a beautiful performance from Badu, it sees Green at the absolute peak of his powers. "Heaven For the Sinner" is a genuine meeting of minds, and in Erykah Badu, Bonobo appears to have found a true musical soulmate, and the ultimate vocal expression of where he's at as a musician.
Finally, bonus track "Know You" allows the music to breathe and focuses on moving the feet as much as the mind. We Can Elude Control presents the debut album from London based electronic musician Roberto Crippa. Reverse brings together a body of work that draws influence from the worlds of noise, electroacoustic composition and musique concrète, forming a powerful and ritualistic study of sonic structure and material. Within the sculptural engineering of silence, space and raw electronics, Crippa employs a variety of sources ranging from wood, metal, drum skin and amplified concrete, constructing an innovative narrative exploration of sonic depth and contrast.



The album reflects Crippa's work as one of London's key performers within the noise and improvised music scene, crafting a refined expansion of his full frequency live shows presented at the likes of Noise=Noise and Cafe Oto as well as Industria Superstudio in his native city of Milan. Reverse forms Crippa's landmark statement connecting the dots between his immersive gallery based installations and visceral performances, shedding light on one of London's most unique underground electronic artists.

At this point we need to just accept a mystery. May of 2012, I flew out to Detroit to play DEMF and called Todd to see if he would be available to grab a bite and chat some shit before the show. A few hours later Todd arrived in his converted Police Cruiser with spot light to take me away from the festival to his house to listen to unreleased joints by him and his heroes. That planted the seed in my head to work with Todd. A year later at Red Bull Music Academy in NYC, where Todd had built the recording studio, I finally had my shit together enough to properly propose an EP.

Tomorrow We Sail is a group of seven musicians, based in Leeds, UK. Formed in 2009 they have spent the past four years developing their sound into what is now a vast landscape of billowing, reverb-soaked guitars, orchestral strings, piano, organ and multi-layered vocals.

Folk, slowcore, neo-classicism, minimalism, ambience, and post-rock are all apparent in the vast and winding soundscapes Tomorrow We Sail create. The music is slow-burning, creeping quietly into consciousness, the sonic terrain covered ensures the listener is held through a constantly moving orchestrated cavern of sound, with earnest melodies and harmonies drifting and falling all around.

After self-releasing their debut EP, 'The Common Fire', in 2010, the band retreated back to their studio to further develop and refine their sound as their line-up evolved, enabling the band to incorporate an ever expanding roster of instruments. With the line-up solidified, the band released two singles, 'The White Rose' in November 2011, followed by 'For Rosa' in May 2012.

October 2012 saw Tomorrow We Sail embark on their first tour of the UK & EU, playing both headline shows and supports with bands such as Caspian, Last Harbour and Ef, culminating in an appearance at the The London International Festival of Exploratory Music at Kings Place.

Over the past three summers, Tomorrow We Sail have taken to the stage at festivals across the UK, including Kendal Calling, Tramlines, Sheep Music, Landed & Galtres, as well as contributing tracks to the independent feature film 'Broken Roads', released in September 2012 in cinemas across the US and winner of Best Motion Picture and Best Director at the American International Film Awards.

The band have just completed the recording of their debut album which is set for worldwide release in February 2014.

Seminal techno album Enter has finally gotten the definitive reissue it deserves. First released in 1983, Cybotron's debut LP has long been considered a landmark release in the storied history of Detroit music and an invaluable seed that sprouted countless branches of electronic dance music from House to Techno. Founded by visionary Vietnam veteran Rik Davis and teenaged future funk freak Juan Atkins, Cybotron combined a fondness for electronic gear as favored by groups like Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra with a dark lyricism that echoed the urban blight of Detroit and advanced prophetic environmental concerns.

This long-overdue reissue has been carefully curated to satisfy the most discerning fans as well as provide an accessible entry point to one of the most influential electronic music releases ever. This edition features the original full-length album release, including the sought-after initial mix of megahit 'Clear,' replaced on earlier issues with its better known remix. That remix, sampled famously for Missy Elliot's 'Lose Control,' leads off the bonus tracks, a collection of singles, B-sides and alternate mixes that provide a compete picture of Cybotron's enormously trend-setting style.

The original artwork is supplemented by rare images plus a powerful essay by noted scribe Dave Tompkins (How To Wreck A Nice Beach) that explores the roots of the group's sound.

Eno Louis gained a solid background in traditional Edo music as a student at Edo College in Benin City, south-east Nigeria. He lived at Fela's Kalakuta Republic till the army raid in 1978, when he moved to the US for a couple of years. On his return, he recorded with Edo funk powerhouse The Talents Of Benin, and quickly became a mainstay of the flourishing disco and boogie scene, in-demand as guitarist and drummer, with credits including releases by Pogo Ltd, Amas Grill, Chris Okotie, Oby Onyioha, Chris Mba, Dizzy K Falola, Harry Mosco, Pat Finn and the Super Elcados... to name just a few.

Jar Moff returns with his second full length, 'Financial Glam', a follow up expanding on ideas first presented by the excellent 'Commercial Mouth' debut LP PAN released earlier this year.
Continuing with themes established on his previous 'Commercial Mouth' LP, 'Financial Glam' reflects the flux and tension of his home city, a gripping opus of grandiose crescendo and collapse,
broken rhythm and disquieting calm. These intricately composed collage works, constructed from hundreds of archived samples, provide a fitting and highly personal soundtrack to austerity in
the shadow of empire. The craft hints at a year's worth of meticulous assembly and industry; the
album title hints at a biting critique of the circus outside. The combination of Jar Moff's technique, ear and unique perspective on, and proximity to, one of the defining stories of our era makes this release a truly important work.A side 'Financial Glam' and builds with growing fanfare and unease, the malaise occasionally
tamed by sublime stabs of synth and rhythm.B side 'Kresentosiagona' (translation: 'Crescendo of the Jaw') is characterized by a complex rhythmic treatment of individual orchestral samples. The perpetual escalation of the instruments
begin to form a fragile and perilous platform over time, it's fragile movements and majesty ever close to the crash.

Released almost exactly a year on from their debut 'Struck' EP, Liam Morley and Dan Valentine return with 'New Brutalism', an exploration of angular, brittle club music.
Referencing the stripped-down, utilitarian aesthetic of Brutalist architecture (a detail of Preston bus station features on the cover), the 5 tracks here mine looped, blocky source material gradually embellished with more complex percussive and atmospheric layers that are at once robust and introspective.

'Impossible Symmetry' and 'Silencer' releases. 'The Hollow Organ' toes a deliberate line in the mud between his previous transgressions and a chokingly dank realisation of his most untoward, paralytic sound. Poised as a dark interpreter
between the grotesque and the transcendent, he activates research gleaned from his petrifying live performances coupled with an increasingly squalid and visceral palette of anguished machine voices, sub-zero drones and bone-scraped rhythmic noise to divine unearthly space somewhere between semi-legal horror soundtrack and hyperstitious surreality. Its opening gambit, 'Carrier' is the most succinct and uncannily ambiguous; perilously close to Gas-like ambient pop but rescued from serenity by manic tape spool and excoriating, demonic vocal. The vortex of 'Analogues' proceeds, ploughed by stereo-twinned engines of churning tape loops to a pitch black, eschatalogical climax, and 'Spiteful Jester' feels like the unshakable onset of a panic attack, ratcheting the intensity with blank-eyed, stoic method. For ten minutes 'The Hollow Organ' drains last with an unnerving, quiet blood-letting of carmine iron drones evaporating ferric overtones whilst percussions clank in your blind spot behind the screen.

Following his solo debut on 3024 with 'Convexations' / 'Falling Again' towards the end of 2011 we're very pleased to welcome Damon Kirkham back to our trans-continental fold again, this time with another long time friend of the label in tow. Since that initial EP, follow up releases on [nakedlunch], Non Plus and his own recently formed Convex Industries imprint have rapidly established the Jon Convex sound in its own right, taking his former group Instra:mental's tireless explorations on the analogue frontier and recalibrating it directly for the warehouse floor.First featured track here is 'Lied To Be Loved', featuring the ever building vocal talents of dBridge (last seen round these parts voicing Martyn's 'These Words'). Diamond tipped drum programming is met with a reprise of 'Convexations' Moroder/Human Centipede bass, fashioned into something far more brooding & glowering here. dBridges vocal drapes it's self over the rhythm section like a particularly unavoidable raincloud as keening synth washes and resigned harmonies build towards a disorientating tension that fragments before ever attempting to resolve.'Zero' snaps proceedings back into sharp clarity, with the kind of muscular Edison funk that can trace it's lineage back to Dússeldorf via Rotters Golf Clubs, The Scene & Beat Street. An uncompromising forward march of a beat and electronically distorted female syllables vainly fight for space with the Bootsy-by-way-of-Cybertron bass line that arrives to dominate the arrangement, as a morse code anti-melody attempts to fill in the gaps left behind by Boots-atron's trail of destruction.'Stay' closes the EP, drawing a line under what's come before with perhaps the most melodically refined piece of Convex material so far. Drifting in on billowing synth chords and a deceptively muted electronic kit, a blissfully androgynous vocal trace introduces a synth arpeggio that twists, expands and contracts throughout the tracks duration, sometimes running alongside that same vocal clip before incorporating a second melody at the tracks peak and fading out of sight.Matching the stylistic growth of the material Erosie's artwork retains it's fundamental role in 3024s identity, expanding his collage series into a fresh area of chromatic alchemy and spatial complexity while retaining all the elements of his own style.

"Midnight Rendezvous" is one hell of a classic groovy dancefloor-banger - perfect in the tradition of Etage Noir Recordings.

This one-sided pressing features non-album cut 'Stage 2', an Andrea production straddling delirious Trap

Kouhei Matsunaga's 'Dance Classics Vol.III' is the continuation of his ongoing development of his more dance oriented material, as seen from his sets with Sensational and also his other minimal
techno project NHK. Not feeling tied down to one genre, Matsunaga nestles in the PAN roster, and however that isn't to say that he is dance per se as witnessed from his recent collaborations with Conrad Schnitzler. The album focuses more on bass/base electronics, music for the dancefloor and/or altered state reflection. Having composed pieces for WDR based on Henry Chopin, Kouhei is equally at ease jamming with Sensational, whilst simultaneously executing a obsessively
numerical sequence of dance pieces that borders on Hanne Darboven-like compulsivity. Born in Osaka, Kouhei Matsunaga is a musician and an illustrator. He started drawing during
childhood under the influence of his grandfather. He grew up listening to hardcore- techno and hip hop, studied architecture and has been mainly making music since 1992. Under many different aliases (NHK, NHKyx, Internet Magic, Koyxen) he has released numerous albums on labels such as Skam Records, Wordsound, Raster Noton and his first ever album 'Upside Down' on Mille Plateaux in 1998. He has also collaborated with artists like Merzbow, Jungle Brothers' Sensational, Autechre's Sean Booth, Mika Vainio, Conrad Schnitzler, Anti Pop Consorium's High Priest, Rudolf Eb.er, Puppetmastaz crew, Asmus Tietchens, Ralf 'RLW' Wehowsky and so on. His own label Flying Swimming was founded in 2002 with the main purpose being to publish and curate events of experimental contemporary music and art.

With high-profile remix work for the likes of Zedd, Empire Of The Sun and Steve Aoki already under his belt, a US Grammy nomination for his remix of Deadmau5's 'The Veldt' and a Swedish Grammy nomination for his platinum selling collaboration 'Reload' with John Martin and Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash is a natural choice for the inaugural transmission in the 'Inspired' series.
The compilation series itself looks for artists to tell their own story through records, documenting those that have inspired their respective journeys to the top and thus giving each edition a uniquely personal feel that other, full-length offerings fail to deliver. "For me, it was all about the concept that Ministry of Sound came to me with. I really loved the idea of giving my fans an insight into what really influenced and inspired me", Trash himself explains.

Due for release on March 16th, his 29 'Inspired' piece spans over two CDs, with the first covering 'Past Inspirations' and the second 'Present and Future inspirations', exploring a fully comprehensive mix of styles and sounds. "Most of the tracks on the first disc were from around 2001-2007, which was a real time of discovery for me ... There were some producers that I had to include on there too - Stuart Price, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and Booka Shade to name a few", Trash elaborates.
To compliment the fusion of old and new, Trash has also chosen to include an exclusive new single 'Freshwater', plus two unreleased mashups, including a including an extraordinary bootleg of Cascade vs The End. Full to the brim with dance floor heat, but still perhaps most significantly, deeply personal, Tommy Trash's 'Inspired' joins the dots between great music and a great concept.

This twentieth 3024 release is by my friend Trevino. I'm particularly proud to put this out because it was Trevino (aka Marcus Intalex), who signed my very first tracks and gave me my break back in 2005 (a 12 called Get Down on his label Revolve:r).In the last two years he's started taking his techno more seriously, writing new tracks at a very fast pace. I'm glad people are taking notice of his music cos he is the real deal and it was tough picking tracks for this release cos he's making so many!Ultimately we chose four that would clearly showcase Marcus' different sides and styles. So, seven years after my 'Get Down', I am proudly presenting the mighty Trevino with his 'Tactical Manoeuvre EP'.

Hospital Productions return with their first release of the year, a heavy 30-minute session of layered drone and tormented, bass-heavy bombast from Max Gudmunson's Virile Games project, now available on vinyl for the first time after a sold-out micro edition of cassettes in 2013. Operating somewhere between his label-mate Lussuria's gothic ambience, the ear-bleaching concrète of Helm, and the more blown-out cinematic visions of Leyland Kirby, 'Wounded Laurel' oscillates between sublime and wretched with a gripping night-time narrative. Opener 'Death And Rebirth Of Adonis' sets the scene with a distant arrangement of what sounds like strings recorded straight to tape before the sodden expanse of rumbling bass and tangled percussion in 'Nailed To The Living Heart...' gives way to a metronomic series of heavy, rumbling bass-drops that recalls Pan Sonic at their heaviest - think of 1999's incredible 'Voima' for a
reference point. 'Firmament' allows some light in with a beautiful passage of wilting strings, before 'Steel Church' brings to mind the fragmented percussive treatments of recent material by Nate Young.

Freedom Street is Chris Coco's debut album on his new label, Melodica Recordings. It follows 2009's Feel Free Live Good which came out on Big Chill Records.

It's about new ways of seeing old things, about a sense of wonder for familiar surroundings.

Wie Glasstückchen in einer rotierenden Röhre werden Schlagzeug und Perkussion, Kontrabass, Saxofon, Gitarre und Fender Rhodes, selbst Vokalpassagen wiederholt gespiegelt, als programmierte Samples zurückgeworfen und mit ihren Ausgangspunkten neu zusammengefügt. Gebrochene Beats und Jazz-beeinflusste Rhythmen changieren dazu mit kontemplativen Ansätzen. Eine meditative Aura liegt über den elf Songs dieses Albums.

Since Montreal native Jacques Greene, 24, emerged with his first solo releases in late 2010 - The Look 12" EP (LuckyMe) and Another Girl 12" Single (LuckyMe, a Pitchfork Top 100 Track of the Year) - he has drawn upon real R&B, House & Techno to create a modern palette which served to influence contemporaries from Jamie XX to Disclosure and Julio Bashmore. But with the UK offering such excellent cross-over Dance successes in 2013 it can be easy to forget where our musical landscape was just tree years ago when Jacques Greene's faceless demos began to creep online. Just prior to the young Canadian's debut, US R&B had recently combined with the worst of European 4/4 Electro House & Trance to form a bottle-service delivery of compressed Pop-Dance to our charts. Greene represented something wholly contrary. A young outsider who, in isolation, was experimenting with fusing the fraught sentiment and sexuality of modern R&B and movement and soul of classic House and Techno. Not in any way retro, there are very few modern producers who can claim to have mastered their form - using original analogue equipment and the very essence of their influences to create such expressive and rich dance music.

LM015 - On Your Side EP is the product of many years of experimentation at the boundary between R&B and Dance music. It is only now after a slew of taste maker releases in dance music that we find Jacques Greene as an accomplished writer and arranger aspiring to work in song format. With our lead single featuring Tom Krell aka How To Dress Well, this is not the exaltation of a lone R&B hook that we are used to but rather a fully developed original song that finds it's place perfectly balanced between both artists. It's unashamed hook and addictive bridge in a beautifully delicate falsetto which rides on top of assured shuffle of percussion. No one here can claim this is a Summer record - the air of cool it evokes is for 4am at any time of year. This is the crystallization of something JG has been working towards. All his tastes reconciled into one stunning moment of classic house / modern house, classic pop / modern R&B.

The remaining tracks too, show JG's development. B1 Faithful returns to JG's vocal sample hallmark but this time without the processing. This is not a percussive use of vocal but rather an upfront gospel-inflected hook in the vein of classic US house courtesy of good friend Olivier Day Soul. Then to close we return to the deep instrumentals we have expect from JG. B2 Quicksand first appeared as an 'untitled' highlight in Greene's takeover at BBC 6Music in October. Now with 160,000+ plays on Soundcloud Quicksand finds its place as the euphoric finale of this satisfying three track EP which further establishes Jacques Greene, still young and evolving; a clear leader in his lane.

Described by Jello Biafra as 'a disco lounge lizard from hell', Palmer Rockey and the Palmer Rockey story have to be read to be believed, and even then you might not believe it.

And this album has to be heard properly to understand the madness, weirdness and total passion brought to the studio sometime in Texas in the mid to late 1970s. Palmer Rockey was a remarkable con-artist. He made this one record, the soundtrack to his one weird movie. It's incredibly rare, only one copy surfacing in the last decade. The idiosyncratic structure of the LP, peppered with interludes & reprises, makes for a unique & satisfyingly whole 'album' experience.

After the seventieth release Smiley Fingers decided to start a new limited catalog oriented toward a more eclectic sound.For the first release it proposed a masterpiece by Franky B (aka Cryptic Monkey) titled Vesuvius Bunks.In Vesuvius Bunks, Franky B combines dub-techno elements with a slow groove, on this track there are no voices but synthetic bass lines that remembers of the Neapolitan volcano's vibrations. Franky B was born in Herculaneum, the town at the foot of Vesuvius, and this is the tribute to his hometown.Dark, solemn and gigantic, Mount Vesuvius dominates the Bay of Naples.For centuries the population has lived under its shadow, silent and pulsating The ancestral fear of his power, telluric vibrations and its constant presence are traces indelibly imprinted into the looks of these people.The pulsating bass rolls on groove, like the magma penetrates through the cavities of the earth, while the sound of a saxophone warms the hearts like an African wind...Enraptured by this vision, Luigi Pane, director and creative director of Abstract:groove, decides to turn the sound of Franky B into images, realizing the Video Clip.This single will be released on Oct 1st and will contain two tracks, an original mix and a version featuring the saxophonist James Senese from Naples.

Abstract:groove is a hybrid between a creative collective and a motion design studio, founded by the film-maker and designer Luigi Pane and the executive producer Giada Risso. The studio, based in Milan, mainly works on the research of new visual languages in communication and advertising. Since 2004 the team have directed projects for Diesel, Dolce&Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferre, Enel, Total, Invicta and Luxottica. Ike Yard came into being as No Wave passed on, Industrial was in the air and 'proto techno' had yet to be coined. Propulsive, paranoid, aggressive electro minimalism, with as much attention paid to the mixing board and effects processors as to vocals, guitar and synth. At once starker and more fully-formed than virtually all other contemporaneous post-punk music. desire's 2012 edition represents the first ever vinyl reissue of this classic, prophetic album.

The line-up for the third remix EP includes a great deal of diverse music. It starts with Powell (Diagonal Records) doing a great beat-driven rework of Half A God. It has been mastered by Matt Colton @ Alchemy Mastering. The A side is closing with The KVB doing a post-punk rendition of Cherish 8. Cherish 8 is also remixed on the B side by Vessel of Tri Angle/ Young Echo fame. The last remix (of NCR) is signed by UK enigmatic industrial/dubstep Bandshell.

Ike Yard was originally a quartet comprising Michael Diekmann, Stuart Argabright, Kenneth Compton and Fred Szymanski. The group are active again after a 28 year hiatus, sans Szymanski; their most recent album is 2011's Nord and they are currently working on a final album.

Zex Model is the project (started in September 2012) of Paul Von Aphid, a young Russian musician who re-imagining and re-modeling the classic sound of 80's Wax Trax and Antler's bands, by adding a personal twist of his own experience living in urban dystopia.

Currently making waves on some high profile drum & bass labels, Mako graces Warm Communications with his second release and
first full solo 12. Breaks upon breaks are served up on the rough and rugged 12. 'A Break From Ritual' sees Mako on one of his
toughest outings yet. Punishing breaks layered over deep, growling basslines mixed with a sense of tension in the pads. 'What A
Little Moonlight Can Do' sees Mako on a halftime feel. Steppy percussion, deep bass & swirling pads make this one great for the
floor as well as home listening.

We're pleased to welcome back the extremely talented Need For Mirrors duo back to the Dispatch camp. Here they strike completely
on the money with the hard hitting Funk-led 'Sling Blade' and backing up the A side we have a heavy slice of Bristol themed flavour
for 2013 with 'Grapefruit' (plus an additional extended digital-only version). Both tracks present a clear nod to the old school and
inspirational late 90's sounds we always loved (but never left!). Need For Mirrors prove again with this release that they are quite
simply on a roll both as individual artists that make up the NFM duo and in their own individual right, definitely ones to watch for the
rest of 2013 and beyond.

After a short summer break FAUXPAS MUSIK is announcing it's comeback with the album Solus by Nocow. The track's of the St. Petersburg based russian remind us a little of the old Aphex Twin and Autechre records. The record comes in heavy 180 gram vinyl. The artwork has been made by Igor Rudyak, design and concept by Alex Ketzer. Vinyl tastes better!

After an incredible 2013, stacked with quality releases from a mass of great acts, we're proud to present the first Dispatch Recordings
release of 2014. Who better to bring in the New Year than Optiv & BTK The duo return to the label for the first time since their debut
with us back in 2011 ('Get Ready / Submission') and they've been on a production warpath ever since! We're proud to have them
back at Dispatch with two unrelenting dancefloor killers.
Starting off the single we have 'Zero Tolerance'. This ferocious track is not to be taken lightly, it growls and progresses like a raging
bull hurtling towards a matador. Receiving strong support from the likes of Andy C and Klute, it was also picked up by UKF for their
YouTube channel on first listen. Prepare for damage.
'Tapout' is the second track on the single, packing just as much venom as the first. Towering over the dance in true gladiatorial
fashion, the gnarly bass chugs brutishly across any floor, whilst flashes of techy overtones run riot through the heart of the track.
Sitting comfortably in all outcomes, whether it's festival capacities or intimate club crowds, 'Tapout' completes the release perfectly.

Unter diesem Alter Ego produzierte JÖRG BURGER schon Anfang der 90er unvergessene Hits wie "Everybody's Kissing Everyone" oder das auf dem EMI-Sublabel Harvest erschienene Album "Lush Life Electronica". A new Sex Tags Amfibia, who always manages to surprise us again. This time we're proud to present the first black metal record ever on Clone! Very slow, organ based, subtle and unorthodox black metal album by Engvaal from Moss Norway. Rooming its way through six songs, reduced but condensed in sound, En Utvilsom Makt's production and soundscapes draws from mid to late 60s experimental recording and mixing, aiming to create a visual space and room within the music. With a 1890's organ and a 45rpm 10'' LP Engvaal defies the obtention of conventional Black Metal. All records come with a sewed or screen printed patch.

Still dark outside and almost straight enough to walk home you leave and take to hostile streets. You can hear the music still in your head mixing with the echo of traffic and footsteps. Predators hover around you but you are protected by Geradio Tonkium and in 20 minutes you will be home. Keep moving.

A collaborative effort between Marquis Cooper (Svengalisghost) and Lili Schulder (51717), this project was born in the winter of 2013.
What can best be described as non-stop electronic erotic cabaret, the duo played a series of improvised performances which served as a structural backbone prior to the recording of this album. Finished in merely two weeks, this 8 song double lp acts as a complete listening experience, engrossed in the down beat primitive electronics of the past whilst pushing further into the self-created anti-beat world of today. Pulsing tones, off beat drums, melancholic vocals, and overall dark vibes characterize, but do not solely define what it is to truly trust in pain. Mastered and cut by Matt Colton for maximum impact

The Studio Pressure EP (mastered by the mighty DJ Hive!) demonstrates Soul Intents versatility as a producer. The title track is a glitchy stepper with old skool house and garage influences plus Soul Intents first ever vocal (all be it just a spoken line).

Babel is a beautiful roller which see's eastern vocal chants and instrument licks reflect against a dirty and raw bassline that always gets a reaction.

Malicious is a nod back to the classic dark steppers of the mid-to-late 90s. Sci-fi atmospherics and fx build you up to a twisted lfo'd bassline before a middle break down of reese destruction tears any club apart. Pure attitude and vibes throughout.

After releasing their debut album 'Crooks and Lovers' last summer to huge critical acclaim and racking up numerous end of year lists including the shortlist for Guardian's First Album Award, plus sell out tours in North America, Australia and Europe, London duo Mount Kimbie announce the news of their next EP 'Carbonated'.This EP follows the release of the 'Blind Night Errand' EP and will be the final release from the album. 'Carbonated', the lead track on the EP is joined by two previously unreleased tracks, the buoyant, effervescence of 'Flux' and 'Bave's Chords', which showcase the lush, elegant percussive sound Mount Kimbie have become known for. 'Bave's Chords' was recorded around their early EP 'Maybes' and 'Flux' was created during the album recordings. Airhead, who's shortly releasing his own album on Brainmath and is member of James Blakes' live band, subtly twists 'Carbonated' with his remix, while Belgian producer & DJ Peter Van Hoesen creates a six minute dark techno rework for the dancefloor. 'Adriatic', also from 'Crooks and Lovers' is transformed completely by Klaus with his style of detailed production hitting the mark once more. Feadz is releasing his debut album ' Instant Alpha' fifteen years into his career. His music is a careful balance of urban and electronic that finds its roots in rap, freestyle, electro, techno and house, but also in more ghetto influences such as footwork, trap, baile, etc...

In short, Feadz's music is a quintessential Edbangerian alloy. Feadz is a total music geek on a constant search for new things to play or to sample, and an erudite of vinyl production, illustrated by the namedropping of super edgy labels delivered via Kito's voice on 'Electric Empire'.

'Instant Alpha' is the result of a fifteen-year journey for Feadz. These 13 tracks are the expression of his hybrid and concise spirit; vivacious, electrocuted, colorful, cheeky dance music in 3 or 4 minute tracks. Joyful, unifying and open party music. Typically Ed Banger.

Peckham 5-piece Haraket return to Melodica Recordings with the eagerly awaited follow up to their debut EP from earlier this year. 4-tracker 'Ílk' flows seamlessly from the early promise of 'Taint/Attgo', preserving wall-of-sound dynamics with delicate source material, moody electronics, live / programmed beats and effected vocal lines.
