Kreeger began his craft by engineering in New York Studios (Axis / Quad) in the early 1990s. By the middle of the decade, he started releasing music on Damon Wild's illustrious Synewave and geometric imprints as Gain / Border Patrol while owning the mid-town Manhattan studio 'Inanimate Objects' with David Sumner / Function (Sandwell District/Ostgut Ton). For more than a decade, Kreeger has been enjoying a career as a session and touring musician playing rhodes, keyboards and bass in addition to composing for U.S. network and cable television programming.

Operating straight out of Poland, New Moon Recordings have steadily pieced together an eclectic discography that has firmly
highlighted them as one of the most exciting labels on the Dubstep landscape. Delivering 5 releases of pure sub-sonic force with class from production talent including Phaeleh, Killawatt, Biome, Thelem, Indigo and Hatti Vatti, quality control measures are high and

bass, reverbs and FX lead this wave of haunting ambience to create a heartwrenching close to this debut EP. Sentimental, emotional

Robot Koch and director Lukas Feigelfeld have teamed up to create a special collaboration project. After Lukas directed the video 'Autodreams' ('The Other Side', Project: Mooncircle) in 2011, they wanted to go a step further.
"The idea behind the release 'Unpaved' was to create a short film in which the music and the images are equally important. Imagine the old mystic character 'Pan', which represents nature, animalism and freedom, in a contemporary and realistic setting; becoming a modern vagabond, a drifter, living in the woods and roaming the lands, always accompanied by his friend, the dog. As his path leads him into the city of modern society, he is quickly confronted with its harsh reality - The conflict between living in an urban space and wanting to be at piece in a remote place in nature. Can we consider ourselves animals or have we already evolved into something too distanced from its natural enviroment and essence 'When I write music it's always very visual. I have images in my mind that put me in certain moods while I produce - oftentimes I make music to a film that hasn't been shot yet. Chris Pell is having a busy year. In between illustrating label art and making the gulliest of bassline as DJ Sharda, he has seen his Murlo alias gather breakneck momentum thanks to his diverse array of leftfield grime-centred instrumentals. Murlo keeps the vibe varied, infusing his tracks with elements from soca, funky and R&B to create a unique sound that has received support from some of the games heaviest selectors including Blackdown, Oneman, Brackles and Slackk.

Most excitingly, Murlo has linked up with Glacial Sound to deliver their imminent second record on November 25th, the much anticipated 'Last Dance' EP. You may have seen Chris's own Last Dance video doing the rounds, a backdrop of regal opulence to suit the quirkiness of the track; sparse handclap percussion and punchy kicks beneath ornate snyth trills and broad violin strokes, like some kind of sleek dancefloor-aimed grime banger from the Baroque era.

If you have caught Oneman lately, you will have heard him battering the living daylights out of 'Robes', using its buoyant carnival rhythms to deadly effect. 'Velvet Wall' is built in a similar vein, with Murlo flipping the eski sound and packing it with snappy rhythms and gliding melodies to form a heavy orchestral-edged cut. To round off the EP, Glacial Sound have enlisted Slackk to twist Velvet Wall into a woozy, sino-grime flavoured beat with a similar aesthetic to some of his recent Minor Triads material, and Robes receives a rough, bassline lead 4x4 treatment from Manchester's excellent Swing Ting outfit.

In the 1970s the American composer Henry Flynt started a series of pieces under the title - New American Ethnic Music'. In so doing he worked together native styles of music such as blues, Country or Hillbilly with electronic production methods to make something altogether new. So far in Germany it has never been attempted to rework folklore electronically for a compilation. However, this picture changes if one redefines the idea of who the population is. Incomers have brought new - national anthems' to Germany, which means: even the Portuguese Fado, the African Gnawa, the Croatian Klapa or the Vietnamese Quan ho are these days at home in Germany.
With the cultural project - Heimatlieder aus Deutschland' ('Native songs from Germany') founded by former Spex editor Mark Terkessidis and label manager Jochen Kühling all the various styles of traditional folk music now found in Germany has been collected. Thirteen of the songs recorded for the project have now been transformed by contemporary electronic producers to present a - New German Ethnic Music'. But why remixes For one thing electronic music has recently focused a lot on the past (Ghost Music, Hypnagogic Pop etc.) - electronic editing is well suited to follow the effects of the immigrant music which the - imaginary national anthems' has created. Furthermore the project's instigators were curious how - electronic musicians' would handle folk music and folk songs which is a hugely difficult task. To this end artists were sought out who could get along with the idea of each music style and who are known to already have experimented with the human voice. The results are as varied as the music styles and Djs involved. Some melodies remain completely intact while others are abstracted beyond recognition.
Margaret Dygas' associative approach ensured that she presents a polish song about a girls arranged marriage with a claustrophobic feeling. With his remix of the Marrabenta of Mozambique Mark Ernestus has continued the rhythmic experiments he is known for with Jeri Jeri. Thomas Mahmoud translated Gnawa into dub and finally Ulrich Schnauss turned the song of the Italian Chorus of - Donni So' into a hymn for the horizon-expanding power of migration.
Hopefully this compilation will also expand some horizons.

After almost two years since his last full release, Ghost Mutt makes a long awaited return to Donky Pitch for the four track 'Rumble Pak' EP on November 18th. Captain Rugged Five years after Nigerian Wood, Keziah Jones is back with a personal and political project, wearing the outfit of an Afro superhero,"Captain Rugged", his quirky and socially committed double. His music is Blufunk as but with an infusion of a punk-funk attitude crossed with yoruba rhythms. Recorded between London and Paris, mixed in New York, the album captain rugged has a psychedelic quality that he sums-up with a rather engaging: 'George Clinton sharing a joint with Fela".

Damon Kirkham aka Kid Drama made his first steps into the 170 bpm realms as one half of the game changing production
partnership Instra:mental.
Together with dBridge their Autonomic podcasts went down in history for breathing new life back into a somewhat stagnant
underground Drum and Bass scene, showcasing their material alongside many other producers and pricking up many ears that had
long since given up on the genres increasingly formulaic output.
After a few years working under his Jon Convex moniker, he returns to the higher tempos as Kid Drama feeling there is still a lot of
uncharted territory left to explore. Together with dBridge he has embarked on a new podcast series (Heart Drive) which again aims to
showcase their new material and that of like minded producers.
His first release as Kid Drama 'One Six Eight' appeared on the Mosaic Vol 2 LP followed by a remix of one of his own Jon Convex
tracks on Convex Industries 'With You' but here we have his debut full release as Kid Drama including collaborations with Om Unit
and Hands Like Crime.

Almost a year after the release of Peter Van Hoesen's highly acclaimed album 'Perceiver' on his Time to Express imprint, the Belgian producer returns with 'Life Performance' - a brand new live recording which was captured into a single, long- form listening experience during a specially curated Time to Express label night at Tresor on July 19, 2013

A demo tape, sent to Capitol Records by The Trash Company in the early 90's, garnered this curt response from then President of the R&B Division, Joy Bailey: "Some music was never meant to be heard."

Thug Records returns with one of the most intriguing releases to grace the catalogue so far. Not restricted by any one scene, Max Monroe of The Trash Company produces a hypnotic medley of original hard edge rhythm & blues, soul dance and classic psychedelic punk wave textures.

Armed with a condition known as Synesthesia (meaning he perceives sounds, words and letters in terms of color) and a 4 track cassette recorder, The Trash Company has spent the last 30 years as a bedroom recording genius.

It wasn't until recently that the magnitude and quality of his unreleased collection of tape recordings were discovered. Unearthed by The Scorpio Brothers - Troy Hurt and Marty Key, 2 record collectors from Richmond VA. They discovered a copy of "Come to Me Softy"; a 45 by The Trash Company recorded and released in 1979 at the former Broad Street recording studio (Alpha Audio). The record was discovered in a second hand singles box at a tiny record store called Carrington's Music in Petersburg VA.

Inspired by this weird record, Troy Hurt hunted Max down using various crate digger methods and eventually found he had local contact details. After getting in touch, Max sent across a number of tracks that had been collecting dust in his closet for the last couple of decades. The Scorpio Brothers were blown away... this led to the release of the Trash Company's now critically acclaimed 2nd album, 'The Earle Hotel Tapes 1979 - 1993', which is a collection of music written in Room 111 of The Earle from that period.

Presented here on Modern Love and in vinyl format on Thug Records are 6 new unreleased gems. The Trash Company's recordings are starkly honest, deeply personal and ahead of their time. Future Techno.

HVNXX is one of the most special projects we've taken part in as a label. Some months ago The XX and Young Turks asked our artists to remix tracks from 'Coexist'. It was a big honour and also a big responsi- bility, specially considering that The XX is one of our favourite bands. The outcome of such challenge is a four-track EP that showcases the sound of both well-established members of the Hivern family, such as Marc Piñol and New Jackson, and upcoming talents such as Round and Mistakes Are Ok.
All four remixes are pretty different among them, but they all manage to maintain the distinctive spirit of the original songs in their own way. Marc Piñol takes 'Fiction' to the good ol' days of Chicago house, laying the original vocals on top of analog drum-machines and a rubbery bassline to that suggest an imaginary collaboration between Adonis and Oliver Sim. The elusive Mistakes Are Ok maintains the tropical vibe of 'Reunion' but provides a warped atmosphere combining breezy chimes with static haze and a propulsive bass that boosts the song towards the second part of the remix. Hivern's latest signee Round transforms the fragility of 'Missing' into a soothing house cut through uplifting organ chords and vigorous rhythms fulfilling dancefloor demands without loosing it's melancholic character. Finally, New Jackson proves once again his knack with nocturnal ambiences flipping 'Swept Away' into a sensuous deep-house gem guided by an absorbing piano and a slow but steady groove.
The release comes in an embossed sleeve with artwork designed by Arnau Pi. HVNXX is a co-release with Young Turks.

as he prepares to unleash a
staggering seventh studio album, 'The Draft', another accomplished piece of musical ambition from a producer who never fails to

Things get much more sinister on "Thaw" as Reza teams up with Toronto stalwart Gremlinz after their recent collaboration "Bloom", a
standout on the Samurai/HORO compilation 'Scope'. Icy chords and pummeling kick drums combine with submarine effects and an
immense natty bass line evoking a steely tension throughout the track, referencing the point where Techno, Dub and Drum & Bass
intersect.

Ikeda integrated, differentiated and re/de/meta-constructed the music of previous 2 albums and that of his other art installations/projects. supercodex is also inter-related with Ikeda's new long-term project - superposition' since 2012 that focuses on quantum information. It consists of performance piece (2 performers on stage) and forthcoming installation works in the future. Chapta, alongside label boss Demon, this is a slice of low end pressure, with creative ideas and a broad pallete of sound.
Grandeur is the twisted banger that has been doing serious dancefloor damage, expertly crafted by the N Dread, who is often
affectionately referred to as the ìfrequency inspectorî. It is both dark and nasty and beautifully musical in equal measure, deep,
alluring strings warming from the start striding forward with crisp snaps of percussion. Lush sub rises in, before a brief calm
anticipates something unexpected. Sub pulses, and a wickedly twisted synth rises and falls; worming into your consciousness, before
glitching out and darting off into the distance, zipping above and beyond the marching drums. The pads, strings and vocal snippets
add further colour and dimension, before zoning out and dropping into a swinging, steppy workout still awash with synth and zap.
Epic Fate seeís Chapta pair up with Demon for what is essentially a straight up screwface maker. It has you looking over your
shoulder from the offset, captivated but on edge by itís horror movie-esque intro. Eerie noises, muted voices and filtered stabs and
snarl raises uncertainty and fear; then the onslaught begins as your hit with a chunky sub and the most vicious razor sharp growls,
winding up and down, venomously rising through unrelenting low end. Hard hitting percussion maintains forward momentum, broken
up with attentive edits adding fearful intensity into a even sinister breakdown and punishing bass workout. Real macabre sound.

* OVERVIEW: Following the critically acclaimed inaugural 'Programmed' series in February, Program has curated another powerhouse four-piece. Peppered with some of the most talented and creative producers in the global drum & bass game, it's a sterling sonic showcase that leaves no style stone unturned.
* The Italian sonic stallion Maztek takes the lead with 'Dizzy Step'. Celebrating his biggest year so far, the young artist shows why he's currently in huge demand with this precision produced stepper. Following one of Maztek's most monstrous build ups to date, the drop teases as it waits for a bar to show off its savage power. Truly tremendous.
* We head to Moscow for the second track of the EP as Program introduce the blistering new talent Traffic. A muscular medley of blunt bass barks; 'Structures' is a rolling moment of undiluted moodiness. As the track title suggests, the power can be found in the tight, energetic arrangement. Unforgiving, otherworldly pads provide consistency as the bass dynamics weave and bob, fly and sting, nip and tuck with demonstrative darkness.
* The Russian reppage continues as Eastcolors and Noel step up with 'Crispy'. Another example of audio onomatopoeia, 'Crispy' lives up to its name with deadly effect as cutlass-sharp hi-hats and precise kick drum punctuation drive the groove into the future. There's a playful air about the unpredictable bassline as it heaves us back and forth across the floor, creating space for the turbo riddim to flourish and short-but-dreamy pads on the breakdown to breath.
* It's down to Stealth and Altair to provide the EP's final, feisty climax. A tried and tested partnership over the last few years, the duo deliver the goods in every way... Opening with blissed out processed guitar strums, oceanic pads and subtle string sprinkles, a rich, warm soulful vocal captures our attention before the elements switch and a gritty bassline takes over. Gradually the lush instrumentation trickles back into the blend, allowing for a stunning breakdown where the vocal really comes into its own. Then, at the blink of a beat, we're thrown back into staccato bass groove and steppy riddim. Barbed but beautiful, it's the epitome of contemporary soulful D&B.

Welcome to Single Point Edge. The third album from Rwina Records, Single Point Edge is unlike previous releases on the Dutch label: bleak, stripped down techno for paranoid humans and robots. Across its ten tracks Single Point Edge carefully balances the physicality of techno with a fine attention to sonic detail and melodic progression. There are clear reference points alongside which SPE pulls in more subtle influences and references to other genres. The result is an album that needs to be heard loud: booming kicks, piercing hats and oppressive melodies washing over you in the middle of a darkened dancefloor, surrounded by strangers each lost in their own universe. Tracks like Carex, Snap Gun, Aporia and Lost Summer are clearly made to be heard in the hallowed halls of techno, from Berlin to Detroit. In the Spring of 2012 Yot teamed up with Scottish born vocalist Soom T (Renegade Masters). The product of this recording session The first track on Yot 4; the moody epic funk shuffle beat banger 'The Cure'. Rising synths, tough beats and heaps of squelch all pushed up against Soom T's unmistakable flow. A sure shot was born.

As well as vocal and instrumental versions of 'The Cure' Yot 4 features the grinding slow tempo burner 'Day Won' and hypnotic ballad 'G.I.M.P'. To record the EP the core four piece signed up a fifth member, multi-instrumentalist Markus Pyorala. It follows up last years 'Bitch Bender', which Mixmag made Album of the Month, and drops on Harmonia and Losonofono.

If ever there was a man in drum & bass who needed no introduction, it's D-Bridge. Having made his name as one half of Future Forces Inc, then again as a quarter of the legendary Bad Company, D-Bridge's career has seen him push the D&B envelope time and again.

*Dabs + Kwality's anthemic 'Skull & Bones' from HZN067 gets the remix treatment from current D&B darling Stray and jack of all trades Sam Binga for HZNX013.
*Stray gets all jungle juke for the a-side that has been getting battered across festival land this summer. Frantic hi-hats, stuttering kicks and pounding 808 bass have made this a crowd favourite - if dubplates still existed they would have been worn out to see-through by now.

Dillinja used to achieve back in the mid-nineties. As the arrangement evolves, the melodies drop out to herald the introduction of a
slamming sub-bass section.
With the extra space, the beat trickery and filtering comes into focus before the re-introduction
of the melody brings about an eventual calm. 'We have many different types of musician ...

Another fine example of Nebula's ability to juxtapose the rough with the smooth.
Taking over for the flip-side is Italian producer Enjoy. Italy is better known for it's olives and wine but with a few more tunes like this
one, freaky junglistic chop-fests like this could be it's biggest export! Again it opens innocently enough, with a muted, wistful pad and
some tapping snares. A second drum layer increases the pace before the introduction of a rather fat amen (obviously fed on olives
and wine). No messing about here - the breaks are sliced, diced, stretched, squashed, reversed and recycled relentlessly throughout
the course of the track. Listen too for some spectacular break layering sections. Often, when there is so much focus on the chopping
and editing of breakbeats, the objective of writing a coherent piece of music can get lost. Not here. Enjoy employs a masterful
arrangement, which really ignites after the second drop where the beats spiral furiously and a synth sound pitches up, down and
around in unison with the primary motif creating an almighty crescendo.

Chase and Status have had one incredible summer. They headlined The Other Stage at June's Glastonbury. They played a storming, riotous set at Reading and Leeds. They announced their forthcoming third album Brand New Machine, the first single from which, Lost & Not Found, featuring Louis M^ttrs, broke into the top 10 on release and is widely acknowledged as one of the anthems of the summer. The current single Count On Me, featuring Moko, is all over the airwaves and was one of the highlights of their festival shows. Next up, following the release of Brand New Machine, the duo, alongside MC Rage, head around the UK for their first arena tour, kicking off on 31st October and culminating with a London 02 arena show on the 16th November.

Always keen to discover and promote new upcoming talent, Brand New Machine features a raft of rising stars and underground names. Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) are extremely passionate about finding and nurturing new artists and despite receiving a vast amount of requests to feature from all the big names, they opted for working with emerging new talent. Featuring Moko, Elli Ingram, Knytro, Abigail Wyles, Ed Thomas, Bo Saris and more, the album also plays host to collaborations with the legendary Nile Rogers as well as US rapper Pusha T. In a convergence of Osiris Music's heavyweights, Kryptic Minds and Sleeper have built their first full collaborative release together;
the pulsating peak-time pressure of Axis Shift backed with the heaving sub-frequency movements of Solarized Formation. Both
tracks hit brutally hard and low in the dance, featuring palettes of nightmarish industrial sounds laid over intricate techno / dubstep
fused rhythms. Axis Shift is an amalgamation of flecked reese synths, paranoid atmospheres and plunging basslines that anchor the
track deep beneath disorienting arrays of taut percussion. It's brisk, fluid flow is contrasted by the experimental rhythmic
arrangements of Solarized Formation on the flip, centred around pounding kick drum trios, toughened slabs of sub-bass and minimal
drum incisions; a unique and highly creative piece 140bpm music to bang soundsystems differently.

This album doesn't merely satisfy expectations - it is a gift for all the finely-tuned of the world.

Jens-Uwe Beyer lives in Cologne, he founded the band 'Cologne
Tape' the label 'Magazine' and you know him under his moniker
'Popnoname'. Most recently he remixed the Eurythmics and Brian Eno & Cluster for the Conny Plank Tribute Compilation on Grönland. He is a frequent guest of Kompakt's Pop Ambient series and just released probably the longest maxi in the world - the almost eighty minute (!) ambient piece "Red Book" on Magazine.

A word from label boss Chris Farrell "This is the new one on Idle Hands, from US producer Strategy. I first came across Paul
Dickow's work when he released a 12" called 'World House' on his own Community Library label back in 2005. It blew me away.
In the ensuing years my friend Duncan George who promoted Bristol's best electronic music night - Under_Score tried on numerous
ocasions to book him for a Bristol date but it never quite hapened due to the usual things that go wrong in club land. In those years
Duncan kept in touch with Paul and last year suggested to him that it might be worth sending some tracks to me, which he did at the
start of 2013...
Add a Peverelist remix and you have the tracks here before you; dub reggae informed house and psychedelic 2 step vibes."

Dispatch heavyweights Survival & Silent Witness return for DIS072 and as expected the results are nothing short of stunning with two
straight up, no nonsense slabs of Drum & Bass that are guaranteed to cause complete carnage and leave a trail of devastation in their

keep heads nodding and the crowd moving. As with all press releases we could continue to bang on about how great these are but

game with a 12 that hits all those important sweet spots of technicality in combination with musicality. A must have for all the serious
