Since the very earlist dubstep productions, Cyrus and his production team Random Trio have always created a stir when their releases have appeared on the horizon. This one is no different, full up with his unique and trademark sound. The deep, blissful dubstep vibes that twist and distort their carefully selected and almost soothing melodies and beats weave in with a bassline that rumbles and groans through heavy sound systems.

Breakin Bread continue their series of underground mix CDs with a mix CD made for the summer from one of Cali's top beatsmiths DJ Zeph. In this digital age the humble mix CD is coming into its own. Whilst sales of physical albums continue to fall the mix CD market has held its own in the last couple of years. Perhaps this is because mix CD's are works of art in their own right and albums and their individual tracks are easily downloadable and played on any device. Mix CD's take a bit longer to download and not all players can deal with them. Fed up with gaps between the mixed tracks' Finished your journey before the end of the mix' Lost your place in the mix' Buy a CD and go old school! Dope artwork and info comes with the music. You know it makes sense.

The mix kicks off with a slow atmospheric intro and implores you to dance, just before it drops into party music from Track 2. For the next 70 minutes Zeph takes you on a ride thru beats, rhymes, rhythms and pure flavour. Latin songs are dropped over hop hop beats, raps are dropped over latin numbers and its all done as if the performance is live. Watch out for the vocal drops that only a hip hop DJ with a proper feel for the clubs could come up with. There's also a drums section which indulges the listener into some of the deeper tropical percussion sounds as well as giving the b-boys some action with perfect breaks for the circle.

This is sure to become the soundtrack to many a barbecue and festival. Zeph's skills as a hip hop DJ come to the fore as he drops in cuts, samples, loops and holds everything together as if he was DJing live for you whilst trying and succeeding in keeping the crowd on the dancefloor. You might not know half of the music on this CD but you sure will want to move. This is the sound of the summer!

Briskly traveling from Swansea to Leeds, PTN follows Doc Daneeka's release with an equally hyped EP of fresh material from Hackman, who along with Doc D, featured in FACT Magazine's top 10 producers to watch for the year. Hackman is one of the exploding Funky movement's best and brightest producers, rising fast and unleashing unstoppable rhythm after unstoppable rhythm. Profiled by the venerable and influential Blackdown in 2009 Hackman is no stranger to hype even so early in his career. But it's not all just hype, and if anything, the hyperbole is warranted. Hackman makes music in line with other prominent Funky producers, but his productions have a certain sheen and a peculiarly humid quality that make them unmistakable. His impressive grasp of bass (see the absolutely crushing basslines in 'Bodies' and 'Surround' off of his EP for Well Rounded, betrays his initial foray into dubstep, and it lends his music a power both more nuanced and more visceral than many of his contemporaries.

a. Distustin Justin - Cutting straight to the chase, Lost captures the sub-bass perspective of 90's dance culture perfectly with Disgustin Justin. With the swinging bassline making creating a raw and dubby atmosphere, you can immediately tell that this was built to be played on a big soundsystem. Scattered high-hats and glitches keep the momentum rolling forward solidly. Estranged vocal in the background and the percussive drums add to the tripped-out mood of this production. From the evidence shown here, there is no doubt that Lost's sound is maturing.
aa. An eerie soundscape guides us into Metalfoot - leading you into a false sense of security whilst building to the drop. And when this fat, chrome-guilded bassline drops in you gather an understanding of where the inspiration for this track's name came from. Slow-drawing snare, pulsating sub-bass and ticking high hats provide the ingredients for this dread-inducing track. This one's a real grower and is going to be turning heads when it gets dropped on the dancefloor.

'Felt The Need' is the debut solo single from Nika D of Virus Syndicate. A collaboration with Parisian producer DJ Absurd, the track takes the listener on a gritty journey through the beaten rain soaked back streets of Manchester as Nika D unravels a yarn of frustration and social angst over DJ Absurd's moody layered strings and dub tinged backdrop. Ichisan and Nakova (aka Igor and Jure) hail from the fine country of Slovenia. Over the past few years the pair have steadily been carving out a name for their unique style of nu disco, called Yugo Disco. The Ichisan solo records have won praise from DJs and the public alike.

The track "Pionir" first featured on the Nang sampler back in 2009. The track is named after Tito's "Pioneers" the red- kerchief donned, youth movement from the former Yugoslavia. The original brims with optimism and uplifting groove in equal measures. Things ending in a crescendo of shimmering disco guitar riffs.

On the remix front Lusty Zanibar from Bearfunk turns in a stomper of a remix. He keeps things floor led but synths it up with layers of tooty synth and his trademark quirky keys. Of course not leaving out those guitar riffs in the closing 1/3 of the track.

For the final remix things dart leftward for a remarkable take from Discodromo from the Prins Thomas / Full Pupp camp. This mix focuses on the riffs and sounds to create a great sonic-curveball for early sets.

The album "Yugo Tempo" features "Pionir" and is out on (most appropriately) the 25th May (Tito's Birthday / "Dan Mladosti" / "Youth Day").

Ghetto Priest born and raised in the east end of London to Afro-Caribbean parents has been on the reggae/Dub/experimental music scene now for over 2 decades.

Born in Jamaica, Hughie Izachaar came to England as a child. Raised by a strict family, after disobeying parental warnings not to attend sound systems he arrived home one evening to find his clothes on the doorstep and himself thrown out of home. Aged 17, he joined the British army as "the only alternative to being homeless on the streets," & spent several years in Germany. Following the army, he began playing music, working with artists like Pablo Gad & Ras Imru.

Marcus Visionary crafts 'Blackboard' for the a side of Lion Dub release 10. The US label has made quick work of getting this far and has been careful to drop one of their best tracks to date for this one, it's a proper jungle display. Goldstar teams up with Zero G on the flip, 'Skin Out' is a proper little skanker, been getting a lot of attention from Benny Page, Shy FX, Hype and more.

Marcus Visionary and Satori step up again on Lion Dubz prolific label and do justice with this 140bpm slammer. Both tracks roll out with ridiculously low frequencies which will guarantee the dance floor to rumble. Hold tight!!

corporate music world, as its hook is reminiscent of Lil Wayne's A Milli, but is in reference to how everything sounds the same. The
