In 2014, nearly three years after her acclaimed debut The Entire City (July 2011, Anti-Ghost Moon Ray), Gazelle Twin re-emerged in full force to stage and screen, gnashing her teeth and armed with pickings from her sophomore full length - UNFLESH - set for worldwide release on 22 September 2014, followed by the artist's first ever Tour in October. February's "bleak banger" (SPIN) single - 'Belly Of The Beast' and the 4-track EP 'Anti Body' in May, conjured intrigue from Dazed & Confused, I-D, Noisey, SPIN, The Fader, XLR8R, Q Mag, Radio 1 and a crop of well-established artists including Grimes, Chelsea Wolfe, Mira Calix and Tom Demac.
In UNFLESH the British artist/composer/producer - known on her ID cards as 'Elizabeth Bernholz' - explores a newfound, adrenalised-Pop style in greater depth - from the bone-chilling, Iggy Pop-inspired 'I Feel Blood', the stark choral lullaby of 'Premonition', to the Prince-meets-Sonic Youth influenced 'GUTS' and 'Still Life'. Far removed from the artist's former dreamscapes, UNFLESH presents a stripped down hyper-colour, hyperreality. Conceived in part, as a means of acting out vengeance on her antagonists (the list of which includes teenhood, recurring dreams, and her own body), Gazelle Twin's startling, electric-blue guise at once embodies the strife of her blighted younger self, and a kind of post-Pagan manifestation with superhuman potential - a concept that bears all the markings of an unwritten, cult Graphic Novel.But UNFLESH is not just an auto-biographical purging. Songs delve as candidly into themes as diverse as the history of European colonisation (I Feel Blood), Euthanasia (Good Death), children raised by animals (Human Touch), to gentle musings on miscarriage (Premonition). Despite this odd crop of topics, a 2 year exploration into science and medicine - the mutations, mysteries and liberations of the human mind and body - forms the spine of a courageous concept LP. A solo artist through and through, Bernholz rarely works out of her cloistered, digital home studio, but with the additional production and mixing artistry of Benge (one third of Wrangler, one half of John Foxx and The Maths, and internationally renowned analogue synthesiser hero), her new sound - crafted consciously from the analogue sounds of John Carpenter and Prince - is notably strengthened by the addition of museum-piece synthesisers such as the Moog Modular, the Linn-1, Formant Synth and the legendary CS80 - used by Vangelis' to create the soundtrack for Blade Runner. The LP's artwork (by the artist herself) features a Francis Bacon-inspired digital collage of the grimacing girl in blue, highlighting a clear obsession with the surreal and the visceral and confirming that Bernholz's all-encompassing creative output is every bit as startling as her recent critical acclaim suggests. Call it a new DJ Sprinkles album, call it a collection of his latest, most thrilling remixes - whatever you name it: - Queerifications & Ruins' is a close meeting of 14 tracks that will lift your spirits and you can do nothing about it!

They all bring different elements into a natural flow with DJ Sprinkles typical trippy sound signature: airy piano melodies, cool congas, echoed vocal samples, haunting chords, pounding basslines, some hidden melancholy, some poetic spoken words as well as soft beatless ambient parts for your relaxation.

Just recently Terre Thaemlitz - world-wide known and awarded writer, public speaker, multimedia producer, DJ, audio producer, and head honcho of the label Comatonse Recordings - released under his deep house alias DJ Sprinkles the mix cd - Where Dancefloors Stand Still' on Mule Musiq - a grooving house music critic on Japans strange fuzoku law that currently is threatening the Japanese clubs with a curfew.

Now he spreads some timeless spiritual grooves with a collection of his own productions based on originals by artists like Kuniyuki, Ducktails, Matt Tolfrey, or Hard Ton. They are all deep as house can be and their spirit is rooted in the uniqe lifestory of the American in Japan that was originally djing in the heydays of the gay clubs of midtown Manhattan and New Jersey in the late eigthies and early nineties - a time when deep house began to take air.

After the New York scene got world-wide famed and lost its family spirit he embarged to Japan where he held a three years residency at Tokyo's Club Module from 2003 till 2006.
In January 2009 he release his album - Midtown 120 Blues' that got hailed as one of the most essential house albums of the last few years and that been voted by the online electronic music magazine Residentadvisor as the best album of the year.

In all that time DJ Sprinkles, who's famous poet is Karl Marx and who loves to eat Cashew chicken in Southwest Missouri style, never thought much of trends and his own music didn't hook on to any Zeitgeist novelty. Instead he sticked to the soulful brand of New York house music to transform it with his own individual emotions into party music with soul that can not be put in a drawer.

Lost in Michael Jackson's woodland estate young Will Williamson was a happy soul, breast fed and reared by a family of disco Llamas, he'd canter hither and tither to his heart's content, chewing on the lush grass and shrubs planted way back in the Motown days.


Until the day the bulldozers arrived to clear the estate and mine the fabled Tree of Soul. Outraged, the Llamas quickly militarised and Will found himself leading the Llama army against the machines. Sadly for Will and the Llamas, they were trained in combat by Bubbles, Michael Jackson's favourite monkey and could only offer thrown semen and faeces against their metal foe and it was over as soon as it began. But as is the way with super heroes, Will didn't die. He was spirited away and placed in a montage, where over the proceeding years he grew strong, running along beaches and up and down steps to Bill Conti's Theme from Rocky.


Father Funk is a superhero. Big with the bass and big with the beats, he's one of the Ghetto Funk scene's sharpest up and coming talents.

Jahcoozi's "Barefoot Wanderer" keeps striding onwards

With a musical carreer spanning over 10 years in different fields of the industry, This extraordinary EP is his first release in almost 3 years, following his album on Exit Records. Dan is the experienced artist who has a very clear idea about what he wants and what he puts out there. It takes a lot of time and involvement for him to develop his music - in this very instance, both tracks are performed on a hardware sampler loaded with snippets of an impromptu live set he distilled to perfection.

These two tracks have been waiting for the right time and context to surface, and we can confidently say that time and context have finally arrived.

with a punk production attitude! All tracks have been performed live in Moire Patterns' in numerous studio sessions in the past months. If we were to talk geography to
describe Niko's (to his friends) sound, then Detroit, San Franciso and Chicago are definetely on the map! Powerful, dancefloor focused and yet airy and deep, the
record showcases Moire Patterns different moods and directions. "Deep down" is an excellent floor warmer, stripped down to the basics which urges you to get down!
This song appears exclusively on the vinyl release. On the flip "It could only happen with you" has that characteristic raw detroit feel. A track full of energy that can cause
serious heat issues on the dancefloor or even your living room! The remix on the same side comes from from Detroit's own Santonio Echols! Santonio needs no

introduction really but for history's sake, he has been releasing productions with long time friend and associate Kevin Saunderson on their Reese & Santonio project with
noumerous releases on KMS, as well as Chez Damier amongst a plethora of productions dating back to 1987! We cannot even describe how honoured we feel to
have a true Detroit legend doing the remix work for us! Santonio has notched up the mood of the original song and has come up with a classy techy mix keeping the

Dr Z caught a bug for dubbing techniques working on his Black Acre album "Grupo Zygote".
He started messing around with beats he'd made, creating dub versions of them. This is the first example. Smack Dub is engineered to knock you out, DXM Dub takes you on a strange journey. This is dropping on a limited (100 copies only) hand stamped, dinked 45 in a spray stencilled sleeve.

Sir Timothy Wisdom cocks his hat to it's jauntiest of angles, meets you in the centre of the ring and challenges you to 'put em up'. Three minutes later you're begging your trainer to cut your eye and are wailing for Adrian! "Mama Said'. All the while Tom Drummond has been quietly lying in the grass keeping you well and truly in his sights. He takes careful aim, sets all his bass to 'bang' and pulls his trigger finger.

A new spot on the neighbourhood's map: After the subtle as well as intimidating sounds of Steven Porter's "LR EP", Anthone brings back the broken beats to the Weevil Neighbourhood. The "Aloof EP", codenamed and catalogue numbered "GRIDS", comes as yet another three tracker of mid tempo excursions into low end territory. Stumbling drumwork, razorsharp percussion and uncanny dronesounds meet what's left of Dub.

Ricardo Jefferson has appeared on labels such as Third Ear Recordings, Nang Records, 22 Digit Records and many more. He has also had his music championed by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Laurent Garnier, Ben Watt and Graeme Park. Ricardo has set up Art-Star Recordings to release more of his own material and as a platform for new artists wishing to get their productions heard.

Young Turks clearly believe that Tahlilah Barnett, formerly known as Twigs (hence the FKA Twigs pseudonym) is a star in the making. They plucked her from obscurity last year and have since released a number of highly regarded singles. This debut album expands on her EPs to date, showcasing her woozy, intricate take on post-R&B. Naturally, her vocals - fragile and evocative, sounding not unlike Kate Bush on occasions - take centre stage, riding a bed of layered-up head-nodding rhythms, post dubstep grooves, trip-hop soundscapes, fizzing electronics and bubbling synthesizers. It's an intoxicating brew, all told, and one that delivers further proof of Barnett's immense potential.

Another limited edition picture disc with brand new remixes of the latest MOTOR single, taken from their recent milestone album 'Man Made Machine' is coming out on CLRX. The featured vocalist on this fourth edition of the series is none other than Gary Numan, a true legend and another undisputed electronic music pioneer. He is equally known for his chart-topping hits in the 70s and 80s as for his signature sound of heavy synthesizer hooks and massively processed guitars who inspired countless acclaimed musicians of our time. MOTOR feat. Gary Numan 'Pleasure In Heaven' is an encounter of two generations of gifted electronic musicians and could be considered a little piece of electronic music history itself. For this challenging task the Singaporean dj/producer Xhin and the South Californian Drumcell, two cutting edge techno artists have been called on the remix duties and have delivered highly powerful and thrilling versions of this song. While Xhin uses Gary Numan´s vocals predominantly as atmospheric elements, enriching and enchanting the deep and driving track, Drumcell´s mix is almost like an alternative full vocal mix with a slow and mesmerizing yet raw and uncompromising approach. Supremely honoring the innovative techno roots of MOTOR, both versions show a lot of the artist´s outstanding production skills and complement one another perfectly in their dissimilarity. Apart from the strictly limited collector´s item picture discs,

Ellis Island Sound comprises the duo of Pete Astor (The Loft, Weather Prophets, Wisdom of Harry, etc) and David Sheppard (State River Widening, Snow Palms, etc). 'Regions' is the duo's third album since their inception, it has already been described as 'Afro-Krautrock' and 'Teutonic High Life'. It is possible to detect the influence of Jean Bosco Mwende or King Sunny Ade's guitars, along with polyrhythmic ensemble force of Fela Kuti's Africa 70 and T-Funk-period Talking Heads. Sometime Radiohead collaborator John Matthias's applies vocals to five tracks, coming on like an opiated James Brown channelling Damo Suzuki. For fans of Can, Fela Kuti, Talking Heads and Neu!

Dublin born Colin Cloughley, aka Anodyne, has been producing twisted electronic music since the 90's, forging links with labels such as Psychonaviagation, Combat and Skam along the way. He creates emotive, yet dark futuristic tracks, inspired by ancient machines, experimental technology and desolate landscapes. Produced using a mixture of analog and digital synthesis, the Fractured EP fuses futurist electro beats with darkside breaks and analogue synths. Limited to 300 copies worldwide, this vinyl version features 2 tracks exclusive to the physical release.

The VIP series on Butterz is all about the artist taking two of their popular tracks and exploring the ideas further than the original versions. On the first edition Swindle took 'Mood Swings' and turned it into a 9 min epic, which was only available in a small run of 200 copies, likewise with Terror Danjah's edition, he revisited 'Morph' and combined it with P Jam's classic 'Anger Management'. For Flava D's edition she reworked Home and Hold On from her first outing earlier this year on Butterz (BR012) at the Red Bull Studios in London alongside the Butterz crew this summer. 'Hold On' takes an aggressive turn with P Jam throwing down the breaks, and Royal-T joining in lending a hand with the bass in his first appearance on the label in over two years. Flava's new take on 'Home' which was originally written in 2011 showcases how much she has developed since joining the Butterz stable late last year. Made with the whole crew in the room you can get a sense of a willingness to wow the room, especially in the second half, where it takes a darker turn. This marks the start of a slew of releases from Flava D and the rest of the Buttterz camp to close 2013 following their announcement of their new residency at Fabric.
