Beats Vinyl New Releases - News

Cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest is home to some of the most stunning pieces of scenery the world has to offer. So it's little surprise that its inhabitants have an appreciation of the more aesthetically pleasing aspects of life.Spinline are three such inhabitants. Between them Mark Gulacsi, Norbert Safar and Andras Tallai have crafted some of the most ear-pleasing atmospheres in drum & bass, a fact which is substantiated by their appearances on Andy C's Ram Records and DJ Friction's Shogun Audio imprint.Last year saw the trio (alongside Hydro) offer up their Demand Records debut with the incredible 'Junction 13' / 'Perimeter' and now they're back with an amazing six-track EP for the label. The vinyl version spans four tracks, including the sharp edges of 'Contrast', the minimal magnificence of 'Tokyo', the fantastically different 'Life' and the lazy low end of 'Sundays'. One listen will define this as not only a beautifully crafted selection of drum & bass tracks, but a brave A&R decision from Demand, who are fighting the formulaic clichés that prey on the genre.Included in the digital pack are two more stunning Spinline productions. 'Geek' is infused with breezy brilliance while 'Protocol' conjours up visions of a mechanoid future, dominated by machines. Once again Demand Records prove themselves to be one of the most forward-thinking labels in the scene. Never compromising, never wavering and never doing anything just for the sake of it. This is D&B of the highest quality.

Uprising Recordings this a technolicious slice of drum and bass awesomeness from two of New Zealands favourite bass music producers Concord Dawn's first release this year, a collaboration EP with Trei featuring tracks such as Wipeout and Hellbent which they produced together.

Repress from Crowd Control 06, originally issued in 1997.

New York's premier experimental Drum & Bass imprint, Offshore Recordings, teams with London's left of centre 170 bpm music tastemaker, Organic, to present the OSRORG series. The two combine mutual musical vision with a joint exploration of the subversive sounds. The creative essence of both New York and London are captured in this transatlantic collaboration- showcasing true urban breakbeat culture.Fracture & Neptune - 'Ups & Downs VIP' - Fracture & Neptune outdo themselves transforming 'Ups & Downs VIP' into a straight-up dance floor pleaser. The duo calls on their favorite ingredients; a tough 2 step beat, wall shaking sub-bass and a funked-out Emu bass line. Fracture & Neptune create what is arguably their most dance floor track to date. Proceed with caution when this beast gets dropped.Graphic feat. Beans - 'I Am Metal' Compound One Remix - Compound One blur the lines between Hip Hop and Drum & Bass while reinterpreting another gem from the Offshore vaults. Half-time, bionic drum-beats lacerate through full fat analogue bass tones. On this rare occasion Compound One move away from their usual 140 bpm template and embrace a more dynamic Drum & Bass tempo. To complete the package, artwork has been specially commissioned from Offshore Recordings mainstay and graphic art guru Cede. Articulating the transatlantic nature of the series perfectly while capturing the essence of musical exploration...

With a good reputation for finding some of the best new producers in drum & bass, Ingredients records deliver another 12 showcasing two new recruits. Kodo has delivered a gem of a tune with 'The Jackal' - having had huge support for the last 6 months, this is a great slice of current drum & bass executed brilliantly. Meanwhile Tyrone's monster 'Behemoth' would sit comfortably on most big labels right now, it's huge sub rolls under clinical drums & concludes another vital Ingredient into your record collection. Support comes from Hype, Jubei, Marcus Intalex, Klute, Phobia.

'Cali Sleaze' Surrealistic weighty bass music done at 172bpm. Chords, atmosphere and a groove. 'Always' Deviant drum and bass with intense highs, effusive bass and reggae vocals.Supported kindly by: Loxy, Doc Scott, Break, Bukem, Enei, Spectrasoul, Mikal, dBridge.

Yes it's here, the long awaited solo track from Receptor 'PUNKS' and collaboration between Forbidden Society & Receptor 'WE DON'T GIVE A FCUK'. Both tunes are hard like usually by FSRECS and a bit Punk influenced. This release is let's say a pre release of the forthcomming Album on FSRECS this year named 'TO THE THRESHOLD'. But till that LP is coming out enjoy this release! ( note : PUNKS has a new mixdown and it is a bit changed from Receptor so you might be surpriced after you buy and hear the whole tune:) Thank you people!

strong dubstep tracks!

big 3x12!" !! huge !! feat Jillian Ann, NSG, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Code 64, Shaz Sparks

Naibu steps up with a massive debut long player for horizons, and this highly polished 'concept' album has everything. Our resident french drum and bass maestro blends together an impressive range of styles into an all encompassing theme of lush, spacious, melodic soundscapes featuring organic instrumentation and percussion, soulful vocals and biting electronic synthesis. 'Habitat', described by Naibu as a term chosen to encapsulate the idea of each track as a different room, a different experience, is so versatile, it rocks the dancefloor at times, while on occasions propels the listener far into the depths of chill-out territory and beyond (think Zero 7 and 4hero - yes, it's that good!).

Kicking off our 2012 release schedule the affirmed pairing of Optiv & BTK make a welcome return to the label. Having sent serious waves across the scene over the last year with their no nonsense approach to writing straight up dance floor killers. The duo's impressive discography boasts recent releases on Virus, Dispatch, Frequency and of course Renegade Hardware. Taking the opportunity of the EP format to delve deeper into their evolving sonic soundscape to provide the listener with 4 razor sharp cuts of future d&b.

Killer 12' from Ray Keith & N Type. Smashing up all dance floors and taking no prisoners!..D&B and Dubstep!. Bladerunner's Remix VIP brings the real deal, heavy beats and punishing basslines. Bladerunner's talents were spotted by Ray Keith in 2004 and he was signed to the mighty Dread Recordings. Remixing jungle classics like Renegade Terrorist, The Chopper and Dark Soldier. On the flip proper Dubstep pressure from, one of the most talked about upcoming producers of the moment, Benton. His remix brings pure stepping sickness.

It has elements of electroacoustic sound sculpture colliding with fierce drum and bass rhythms!

Bass By The Tonne' Feat. Jakes - What do call it Half time DNB, Drumstep, or just bass music

Absolute classic right here! We were lucky to find these and they've been selling like crazy which is no surpurise considering this sound is so popular at the moment. Watch out for the next releases on this label.

Mob Tactics are on fire right now and this release is made even more disgusting by Ganja's very own Prolix. Flip that shit over and don't expect anything different because 'The Watchtower' is filled with anger and aggression which are always good ingredients for all out war on the dancefloor.

Special and avantgarde drum and bass by Allied awaits on TRIM028. Already infamous for the unique drumwork in their tracks, combined with deep and minimal arrangements - the Brighton duo deliver a hypnotic release. - Isolated', a collaboration with Quadrant, sets the mood for this epic journey with a stripped down and minimal, yet funky tune. - Cryptic Era' explores the mystic sphere further, but this time with a fuller, rolling beat.

In 2012, things (or tingz even) are set only to get even bigger for the Bristol-based collective, as this latest 12" boldly attests in typically upbeat style. Enlisting Jamaican-born regular contributor Blackout JA alongside the UK's own David Boomah, this is another slice of completely original magic from the Run Tingz camp, without a shoddy acapella or ripped vocal sample in sight!

Reinforcing their reputation for finding fresh talent, Phunkfiction deliver some deep beats from the Brighton based Atom.

With Borderline, Menace and Cern on the buttons you know it will be a classy affair. Real roaring Drum n Bass music that is deeply rooted in the original SMPTM sound. Essential one for the collection.

Here we have a new label and it's some of the best Techy Drum and Bass we've heard for a while. Counterstrike and Cooh do what they do best and bring their trademark tight production along with a load of bass that'll rumble any bass bin. Looking forward to hearing what else this exciting label has up its sleeve.

Our second limited edition vinyl featuring Donny, Current Value, Katharsys and Unknown Error - Official will be released on 20th February 2012! Limited to 250 copies worldwide. :)

Mostly known in the drum & bass world as a MC, Mark System is a well known name with a broad range of vocal skills with countless world class DJ's requesting his abilities at their events! Over the last couple of years has seen his production take a huge jump in the scene as well! Already having releases on amazing labels such as Exit, Digital Soundboy & Integral to name a few! Warm Communications is very proud to have him grace us with a stormer of a 12!A. GO AGAIN - Amazing production on this one as usual from System. Taking a page out of the oldschool rollers comes Go Again. A 2 step affair with this one rolls along with thunderous bass and errie strings reminiscent of the old classic 'Shadow Boxing'. Strictly for the dancefloors! AA. THE DIVER'S DREAM - One of our favorites from System for awhile now! This tune encapsulates the saying 'as deep as it gets'. Driving live sounding drums forge through and a punchy bassline keep the momentum going. Beautiful strings and pads take this tune deep down! Any fans of the 'rough with the smooth' will love this!

Mercado is a true roller! Crisp breaks and congas merge with perfection to the b-line and percussion. This one is sure to nice up any dance floor on the planet. Strictly for the heads! On the flip is Munk's Stomer: Templar. Neuro funk bass lines and heavy breaks collide with cinematic FX to create just the right amount of tension. No quarter is given as this tune progresses and each element builds upon the next flawlessly.

The Russian's are steadily taking over with a huge string of talent coming our way. Place 2B and Paimon are building a great catalogue on labels like Hardcore Beats, Citrus and Syndrome at the moment with steady tech-dnb sounding tunes build for modern warfare on the dancefloor.

Both 'Centrifuge' and 'Winter Rose' have been getting serious love from all the DnB heads and i know for a fact that Spearhead have got a lot of amazing releases lined up to follow on from this release.

Benny Page's High Culture Label has been churning out the hits over the last year and Zero G teams up with Benny once again to produce some of the most exciting Drum and Bass around. 'Undead' and 'Game Of Death' both carry serious weight so much so I've already blown up one set of speaks just trying to review this ridiculous 12!

FLACO returns to the Innerground fray with the follow up to his digital release 'Light Em Up'. Going into heavy rotation this time, and already a staple in the DnB illuminati's record box, is a vinyl release showcasing both sides of this versatile producer's nature.

John B's first single in over a year, the last one - 'Red Sky' got sampled by US Rap giant Nicki Minaj and was on her 2million selling album 'Pink Friday'. Wahayy.
