NCQL annouces himself in no uncertain fashion with the anthemic strings of 'The Framed Dreams Of Loki'. The track nods to DJ Premier, Prefuse 73 and classic Metalheadz D&B Hidden Agenda style and there's a subtle (!) reference to a certain classic 90s rave tune in there aswell. It sounds like a mess - it's anything but ! This is uplifting breakbeat at it's very best. It's not often a tune gets played twice by Bailey on his BBC 1Xtra show in the space of a month, so this must be something special. The flipside has a similar organic & uplifting aesthetic. A strutting break is the base for a deluge of warmth in the shape of synths, strings, flutes, harp and vocals - an unusual sound palette for a Drum & Bass track these days but refreshing to hear. DJ Flight thought so and has aired it on one of her 'Next Chapter' Rinse FM broadcasts.

Representing a fresh and unheard style that is currently redefining the boundaries of neurofunk drum and bass, Neonlight return to their homebase with 'The Frozen Tape' - a discerning dancefloor bomb with the trademark stuttering and growling synths and epic soundscapes. Judging alone by the efforts of people on the net to get a copy of this track (cut out of a youtube liveset of Optical mixing 'The Frozen Tape' in Russia), this track has all the potential to become a dancefloor anthem.

Overstepping boundaries, transcending electronic genres, hot stepping between bpm and diving into a range of thoughtful and often beautifully delicate sounds. Synkro has proved himself a force to be reckoned with in 2012, Progression is arugable his finest work to date. This 12' features the original mix backed with Indigo Remix.

DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now' is the eagerly awaited follow-up to, 'Louder', his second hit, one of 2011's biggest selling No.1 singles (500,000+ sales and counting) and the track that changed the game for bass music in the UK. On the Radio 1 A-list for several weeks, 'Louder' stayed in the station's Top 40 'most played' for 20 weeks via continued support from Zane Lowe, Chris Moyles, Annie Mac, Greg James, Fearne Cotton and many more. Elsewhere, the track was A-list at Kiss, Capital, MTV, Viva and 1Xtra along with full additions to The Box, 4 Music and Smash Hits.

After the massive impact of Harvest's dance floor destroyer 'Militant' Apexx Recordings proudly returns with our second release and we have pulled out all the stops for this one.Dj Taktix's needs no introduction and neither does 'It's The Way' first come out in 1994 and the remix featuring Top Buzz's Mad P vocal is a benchmark tune to say the least. Taktix returns after a large break from the scene and comes with a remix with afresh new angle, rather than your typical junglist approach he gives it a dark more twisted vibe, metallic beats, dirty amen and still keeping the vocal gives 'It's The Way' a fresh new vibe. Serum remix on the other hand is exactly what you expect from this highly rated producer and he brings it right up to 2010 with all the attributes there from the original and this remix has caused a storm. Been on dubplate for a while now and still getting airplay on all major radio stations this has had massive support from the likes of Andy C, Bryan Gee, Dj Marky, Nicky Blackmarket, Crissy Criss, Bailey and that's just a few.......Also Watch out for forthcoming track from Dj Devize 'Build N Destroy' massive support from Dj's Hazard, Marky, Brockie, Nicky Blackmarket & more.

On 'Fes Bace' Roel has taken his sound to a whole new level, delivering four tracks of uncompromising quality and diversity that could easily destroy any dancefloor.

June Miller probably the most diverse and unpredicatable duo in drum and bass, step up with their debut EP. 'Give up the ghost' takes you on a mysterious musical journey combining their trademark beautifully organic sounds crafted from 140 to 170 beats per minute

Soaring straight out of the hotbed of drum and bass talent that is Russia, Place 2b lands his debut on Trust In Music, armed to the teeth with 2 razor sharp neuro cuts for TRIM029. His lead track ''In The End'' opens proceedings with super tight drums, horror fx and a ripping mid bass riff, catapulting you head first into his twisted vision. ''Warpath'', a monster from the deep created with partner in crime Krot then pulls you under with arpeggiated synths before slamming you with reese basses and razor sharp edits.

The one and only studio rocker Tony Thorpe - aka Moody Boyz, illustrious low end manipulator of some 30 years acclaim - teams up with three of the most exciting and original UK producers in Si Begg, Nuphlo and Pempi, to present the first release from his monumental Globe Stepping project, taking world music atmospheres and giving them a sideways twist to create a new flavoured selection of dancefloor killers and chill-out epics. All sounds on the five part series of Globe Stepping albums are sourced from original archive audio held in the cavernous vaults of the decades-old Boosey & Hawkes publishing company, known today as Imagem Production Music. Imagem have founded the 2NX label as a bespoke outlet for these new recordings, which draw deep from ethnocentric pools including African, Indian, Eurasian and South American, and a run of club-tooled beat-working versions will be released on limited 12' pressings outside of the full length CD and download output. First up, veteran Si Begg joins Tony on lead track 'Kongotronic', a rolling UK-bass-meets-funky number with bright synth stabs and distant African vocals. Next Nuphlo - declared 'genius' by BBC Radio 1's Bobby Friction - jumps on board to bring the desert storm to 'Dusty Path', where oud and flute textures float over furious percussion, with the most atmospheric drop you'll hear in these early days of 2012. Finally, Mixmag 'one to watch' and BBC 1Xtra favourite Pempi brings a more mellow edge to the Thorpe sound on 'Chai Garden', with its arcing melodies, skippy beats and a deep, punchy bass. Tony Thorpe is the ideal pilot for this project, with a huge knowledge and understanding of rhythm that has spawned such recent CV highpoints as his curation of the seminal Dub Step Chronicles event for Massive Attack's Meltdown Festival, and being the catalytic element in On-U Sound's Lee Scratch Perry dubstep remix collection. Combining his long-established progressive sound with an ethnic soundboard, this is a record worthy of a place in any serious musicologists collection. Massive release, no question.

limted green vinyl.

If you are in to dreamy piano sounds and poppy vocal cuts this is one to check out. Beautiful drifting melodies combined with 90's pop like vocals and rolling beats. The singers on this release know how to catch your attention. Especially the track on the flip ''Put me Down'' has potential to become a true Radio anthem.

Formed at the start of 2011 by D&B kingpins of the UK's north-east Phobia, Sato and Tyrone, Chroma are looking forward to big things indeed in 2012. Already with their first studio excursions very well received by the likes of DJ Hype, Jubei, Kasra, Flight and more it's not surprising that the likes of Renegade Hardware and Frequency have been snapping at their heels for some Chroma exclusives. For now though the boys drop their new piece of dance floor skullduggery on Phobia's Coded imprint to kick off the new year. 'Falling Down' intros with smooth pads and a delicate arpeggiated synth that paves the way for the oncoming melancholy vocal from LKP who delivers his refreshing flow with consummate ease. The mood is then simply shattered into a million pieces as the drop brings the ruckus with smashing breaks edited to perfection over huge booming sub-bass that pulls us deep inside a very rough ride indeed.Moving onto the flip and Chroma switch things around opting for a snapping two-step break that rolls its way down throughout 'Fathom' for a much for subtle slice of dance floor D&B. DJ support from DJ Hype, Jubei, Flight, Kasra, Craggz & Parallel, Foreign Concept and more.

Mob Tactics always bring the pressure with their squelchy synths and lashing beats. 'Hit The Lights' should have been called 'Hit Every Bloody Frequency On The Scale' as this tune nearly blew up my desktop speakers. On the other side 'The Machai' does much the same, we're so excited about these producers and think they're gonna blow any second.
