First Vinyl EP archiving the birth of Ortem featuring Metro, Books and Cuelock.

Vector Files takes the baton and runs with it. Proceedings notch up to hyper speed as a rolling acid inspired bass line, boom bap beat, amen chops, arpeggios all !re o as the Halle Bop comet comes into view via some remote viewing. The energy created by the track could catapult a man to Venus.

Plod starts with the distant echo of machinery and comes into focus via the inner workings represented by the 2 step break, over laced with vocal snippets, a nervous laugh, ethereal trains and sweeps of a ghostly subway. This works its way into layers of bass and a long forgotten sound.

An awakening via Jagganath where a car alarm arrests slumber and heralds tribal drums in a distant valley. Electricity pulses and the rhythm steps up a gear, a door slides open and reveals shards of light, before the electronic sparseness resumes.

4th System continues to tread the experimental, deep dub path. A constant #ow is punctuated by !ltered drums a warm sub, cymbal shards and a wood block. A ghostly orchestra #oat in underneath a waterfall with some spiced rum, sunny delight and join the party.

Soda Gong presents a razor sharp collection of rigorous and imaginative new music from Moscow-by-way-of-St.Petersburg-based musician and producer Flaty. "Generic TARGZ" places Flaty's precipitously complex drum programming and keen ear for atmosphere and space at the forefront, offering up a dynamic array of techno, ambient, generative footwork, and other tougher to pigeonhole rhythmic experiments. It is a dizzying and cohesive document in which ethereal productions, such as "Praaai" wherein a bewitching vocal pad hovers over delicate, pin-prick percussion, sit comfortably alongside tightly controlled chaos, as with the synapse-knotting "Thread" and heavy-hitting "Horn of Plenty".

Over the past few years, Flaty has released a wealth of diverse and uniformly excellent music under monikers such as AEM Rhythm Cascade, Dada Ques, and Wrong Water. He is most closely associated with the influential GOST ZVUK label, but his work has also appeared on imprints such as 12th Isle, Muscut, and his own ANWO Records. Although Flaty serves as his primary alias, "Generic TARGZ" is only the artist's second full-length under the moniker, following 2016's "New Suggestions", a high-water mark in the impeccable GOST ZVUK catalog. Mastered by Rashad Becker at D&M. Artwork and design by Alex McCullough and Niall Wynne Lewis.

The Hungarian madman known as Mindscape brings his trademark sound to the masses with "Road Rage EP" - the latest offering on EATBRAIN, the label from the mind of Jade. Under the creative direction of this neurofunk innovator, Eatbrain has presided over countless releases by drum & bass's finest since the label's inception in 2011. 2013 alone has seen Eatbrain work in conjunction with the likes of Telekinesis, Concord Dawn, Coppa, 2Shy, NickBee, and Teddy Killerz, while continuing to expand into a widely supported movement within drum & bass culture. Continuing the streak of quality, Mindscape joins the fold with his first solo EP on Eatbrain - Road Rage EP. The producer has been a close ally of the imprint since it's inception, having worked with Jade on tracks like 'Banshee' (Citrus Recordings), 'Orion' (Commercial Suicide), and Mindscape's own infamous remix of Jade's 'Venom' (EATBRAIN002). With "Road Rage EP", Mindscape delivers his finely tuned artistic vision to Eatbrain; grungy, innovative, riot-starting drum & bass music.

Mindscape & BTK - 'Road Rage'

The musical talents of Mindscape collide with those of Brazillian producer BTK in the eponymous 'Road Rage'. BTK has seen a meteoric rise to prominence over the past few years as he's continued to push the boundaries drum & bass, merging the genre's organic urban sensibility with his own local flavor. A perfect match for Mindscape's unmistakably dirty sound. 'Road Rage' wastes no time building the energy from the outset, air-like soundscapes surrounding crisp drums, faint eerie pads, and rude vocal samples cut-to-pieces with BTK's usual flare. The energy comes to a head as the duo goes in hard with raucous sub-bass, surgically precise drums and percussion, and a stabbing, chaotic reece. Variations in percussion and atmosphere are subtle and calculated; the result cannot be understated. Dynamic, ruthless vibes from Mindscape and BTK. 'Road Rage' promises to put listeners at risk of bodily injury.

Mindscape - 'Space & Time'

With a sense of impending terror and danger, 'Space & Time' sets the vibe with ominous dialogue and the ambiance of swarming insects. An imposing distorted bassline soon takes center stage, raising the pressure before bursting into a turbulent dance of high energy rhythms and pulsating bass vibrations. Like a mad scientist on the brink of insanity, dancefloors will remain on their toes throughout this potent neurofunk heater.

MILK is the new EP born from the collaboration between Brussels-based producers Alex Lesage and Eekway. The project marks the convergence of two complementary approaches to contemporary electronic music, united by a shared vision: creating music with strong physical impact, designed for the club while maintaining depth and high production standards.

Developed in Brussels, the project's home base, MILK sits at the crossroads of Drum & Bass, Jungle, and IDM, combining the heritage of UK bass traditions with a distinctly modern sonic research. The EP explores sharp rhythmic structures, massive low-end pressure, and detailed sonic architecture, driven by extensive work in sound design, sampling manipulation, and spatial composition.

Two-time BRIT Award winner Becky Hill will release her eagerly anticipated third album ‘REBECCA’ on September 25th.

‘REBECCA’ was written during a period of intense personal and artistic reflection and sees Becky exploring ambition, identity, visibility and the contradictions of her life from a place of greater openness and creative freedom. Across the record, she examines the tension between desire and self-preservation with clarity, humour and brutal honesty, resulting in her boldest, emotionally charged body of work to date.

Described by Becky as “curated chaos”, ‘REBECCA’ also marks a significant evolution in her sound. It sees her reconnecting with the wider influences that shaped her early musical identity, pulling inspiration from guitar music alongside the dance and drum & bass foundations that have defined her career. ‘REBECCA’ blends that collision of worlds with heavy electro production, alternative influences and euphoric electronics into an album that feels both expansive and unpredictable.

It fell on me in the spring, like a Normandy storm. Piece after piece, day after day, guided by the experience, I found the pleasure of making music again. Once satisfied, I sent a selection to my manager. I had gotten into the habit of regularly sending him projects with no connection, and he
had gotten into the habit of not answering them. His text message at 1:10 a.m.: «Damn, that’s good!» was a commitment.

We're releasing this limited vinyl for RSD due to demand for Culture Shock material on vinyl. Bunker was chosen as it was extremely popular with DJ's and the phenomenal success of There For You meant that it felt right to get it out on such a special physical format. Both were only previously available digitally. The artwork on the picture disc is reflective of the original artwork of both releases and this RSD release falls in with a possible Sequence Series bundle collating all the releases plus some new tracks.

'This Road' is the debut LP by one-to-watch Denise Sherwood, which features writing, production and instrumental contributions from Adrian Sherwood (On U Sound), Lee "Scratch" Perry, Mala (Digital Mystikz, Deep Medi Music), Mark Stewart (The Pop Group, Mark Stewart & The Maffia), Skip McDonald (Tackhead, African Head Charge, Little Axe) and Doug Wimbish (Living Colour, Tackhead). In addition to this extended family who came together to help her talent flourish, the album also features drums by the late Style Scott, who the singer lovingly recalls as my "my beautiful uncle."

Portraying dark themes and damaged characters through an empathetic filter of bittersweet optimism,'This Road' is a work of contrasts, which musically matches the mixed emotions felt in life. Bass pressure, contemporary club beats, nourishing roots music, sumptuous instrumentation and accessible, pop-schooled
melodicism are woven together by her soothing but heavy-hearted voice, which is perfectly matured and full of depth.

Saturated in vibes and an ingrained cognitive understanding of recording, 'This Road' is in part the product of childhood/teenage osmosis spent imbibing the sounds at her father Adrian Sherwood's On-U Studios. The impressionable youth gained an unparalleled education in music and also human nature, living in a house/studio where Lee Perry, Neneh Cherry, Jah Wobble, Big Youth, Little Annie, Style Scott, Tackhead, Bim Sherman and countless more made tracks.

Like an epic coming-of-age movie focussing on Denise's part in the ongoing On-U chronicles - charting her changing roles as daughter, musician, mother, lover and more - it's little wonder 'This Road' is both contemporary and timeless, spanning time like a family tree.

OTHER WORLDS

Presenting the latest in sonic architecture for the hyper-realised, the self-aware non-entities and synths alike. Drum & Bass sonic weapons collide with vocal downtempo, and a handful of technoid and breaks cuts round out this ultra-dancefloor cache of sound programs. Gore Tech is Manchester UK's leading exponent of hard electronic music and Geist Fibre is easily his finest hour. With a series of advanced cyber-neuro Drum & Bass tracks comprising the majority of the album, Geist Fibre is aimed squarely at the DnB dancefloor, but the additional flavors at different tempos make it a complete album that can be enjoyed in its entirety. Geist Fibre is the electronic music soundtrack for the future-phobic - sonic messages from a world where science fiction has always proven too benevolent, and our developed technological reality stands at odds with human existence.

Infrared Records are proud to announce the highly anticipated forthcoming J Majik album "Full Circle". Release Date 1st May 2019.
Full Circle features a variety of drum and bass styles, from the heavy amen edits of "The Crow Knows", the serene sci-fi influenced futurism of "Codebreaker" to the early hardcore sound of "Meridian".

The album also contains several other points of reference to the scenes pioneering years of the mid-90s. "Serenity" nods to the progressive style of Good Looking and "Point Of Return" pays homage to the experimental sound of Reinforced.
