Following the success of their 2015 album Astronautilus, jazz-rock mavericks Get The Blessing return with their spellbinding new Album 'Bristopia'. After three days we returned to base camp to pick over the spoils, at which point the process became more like sculpting: Jim wielding the chisel and the rest of us jogging his elbows until we're left with some beautifully strange shapes.'.Enlisting the help of regular / irregular collaborator Adrian Utley, whose guitar-sprayed some strikingly unexpected colours across some of the objects, they then persuaded pedal-steel guitarist Margerethe Bjorklund to add some skilfully applied brushstrokes to the piece. Just as they were examining these new creations on their sonic plinths, and wondering what exactly they were, the Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival invited GTB (and their long-running visual collaborator John Minton) to scour the Bristol Archive and create 'Bristopolis', an abstract, poetic film homage to Bristol. 'We realised that some of the new music is the soundtrack for a real film after all, even stranger than the one in our heads. We get to play these new tunes live at a one-off happening for the festival, with John's visual creation filling an enormous screen behind us. All begins to make (non)sense.'With this powerful return, Get The Blessing send their sonic transmission deep into the furthest corners of the universe, setting the pace for the current UK Jazz revival, demonstrating that the early pioneers of the scene still have something important to say.Formed back in 1999 by bassist Jim Barr and drummer Clive Deamer (rhythm section of seminal act Portishead) alongside Jake McMurchie (on sax and electronics) and Pete Judge (trumpet and electronics) the Bristol-based four-piece boast a truly international fan-base, having forged a unique signature sound that defies easy classification. Despite several short breaks for other projects over the years - most recently in 2016 when drummer Clive Deamer was on tour with Radiohead, they have never lost sight of thumping tunes, monstrously infectious beats, or joyous collective spontaneity. After eighteen years, their ability to produce such creative and intelligent music - balanced with wit and passion - is testament to the free spirit that they embody.

Hell Yeah’s summer will be all about Passages, a brand new and fantastic album from Quiroga that shows off his unique take on the Neapolitan sound. It is a soothing mix of real musicianship, laid back funk, soul and jazz stylings that wash over you, fill your heart with warmth and take you to a faraway beach where all your worries melt into the ether.

It is 11 years since Walter Del Vecchio’s last album on Cactus Island Recordings and since then he has put out a steady stream of sublime EPs on the likes of his own Really Swing as well as, of course, Hell Yeah. Label boss Marco calls him “a delicate musician” and it’s true that his deft sound is filled with beauty and detail.

A lot of attention is currently on his native Naples scene, but Quiroga doesn’t fit with the usual narrative thanks to his left of centre take on the breezy Mediterranean sounds of the city. This new album features six brand new cuts as well as six of his favourites that have previously been put out Really Swing, and is a fantastic showcase of his sound, with two of the tracks already getting big support from Italian ensemble 291out.

Gentle groove undulations and refrained vocal euphoria define opener Got Your Love, while fat bass twangs and nodding keys light up the jazzy-soul-funk fusion that is Martinica Feelings. Things get even more horizontal and romantic on The Zoist, with its steamy female coos and delicate keys, and North Hollywood Witches is a glorious bit of slow motion boogie with squelching bass and effervescing keys.

Elsewhere there are the lazy tumbles of Non Dire Notte, which is awash with acid gurgles, while glistening dreamscapes like Citto Di Mare shuffle on lush live drums and new age melodies. There are hippie vibes on Luzhin Defence which evokes sun beams breaking through the clouds, then Chiaia Sunset will melt your heart with its diffuse keys and rippling rhythms and ambient closer Bava casts you adrift into the clouds.

With many other gems along the way, this a perfect summer album that will temporarily rid you of whatever problems you may have.

A brand new studio album from Gorillaz titled The Now Now will be released by Parlophone Records on 29th June.

The Now Now is 11 all-new songs from the World's Most Successful Virtual Act, produced by Gorillaz, with James Ford and Remi Kabaka, and recorded in London, in February this year.

The album sessions for The Now Now saw the band largely eschewing guest stars, taking it back to the core creative crew: blue-haired, sweet-natured dreamer 2D on vocals, whip-smart Japanese badass Noodle on guitar, not forgetting Brooklyn-born philosopher and the meat-behind-the-beat Russel Hobbs on drums. Bonus Freaks is the second single to be released from the much anticipated forthcoming album SUILVEN, slated for release in May 2018.

Sam Vicary A.K.A Hunrosa (meaning "to dream") is an electronic music producer capturing the wild organic senses of his childhood and anchoring it with a darker 2am undercurrent. Based in Manchester, he is principally a bassist and currently a member of The Cinematic Orchestra, Paper Tiger and The Dominic J Marshall Trio, as well as performing with Manu Delago, Imogen Heap, Matthew Halsall, Anil Sebastian and Stuart Macallum.

His latest offering 'Ransome' is a heavily rhythmic journey, full of textured hand percussion and soaring strings, accompanied by the beautifully melodic vocals of Alice Higgins drifting overhead. The Clap Clap remix sees the Black Acre mainstay exploring expansive territories, polyrhythmic hand percussion and textured electronica perfectly intertwine, drenched in dub ambience, heightened by scattered arpeggios and swirling synths. The music is inspired by a coastal upbringing, represented in the music via field recordings, as well as being aided by visual stimulus throughout the writing process.

Frou Frou are an electronic duo composed of Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth from England. Heap and Sigsworth met each other on the London Scene in the mid-1990s. They released their first and only album Details in June 2002, which has elements of trip/hop, ambient, pop and rock, using a wide range of traditional instruments and the ethereal vocals of Imogen Heap. The warm sound of the songs lies in the use of the technology on the album. It's the atmospheric and dreamy feel created by combining the stunning vocals with creative electronic beats that makes the album to an outstanding piece of music. First single Let Go' is a dark exploration with strings and compelling vocals. Breathe In' is focused around a steady walking tempo and a skillful bassline.

The album received critical acclaim, several singles from the LP were released. Across the United States the duo had established a cult fan base where they promoted Details. After the disbanding of the duo in 2004 they reunited in 2017 and been touring ever since.

Details is now available for the first time on vinyl and is pressed on 1.000 individually numbered copies on red vinyl.

After listening to MEGAMIX for the first time, the origin of the name reveals itself after every track you hear.
Rumours are Hannah Vandenbussche and Jonas Boermans (both active at Monami), Birds-singer Pieter-Jan Cools and Brutus drummer Stefanie Mannaerts. They joined forces a few years ago to produce something they call 'sjamaanhop'. A self-invented term that best can be defined as an enchanting combination of techno and trip hop. It's as if The Knife and Crystal Castles suddenly found the ideal pool partners in Four Tet and Nosaj Thing.
Where Rumours is known for their dark, fast paced and heartfelt live sets, they show they've got more to them in their first studio album. Influences from every corner creep into the songs, which makes it a quiet unusual, but balanced album. A mishmash of melancholy (every cry for help needs a saving anthem), a certain tint of sadness and that one urgent place in our hearts that we call desire.
For the visual aspect of the album, the Spanish party Island Ibiza was an obvious choice for the band.
The destination was not only a refuge, it was a place where hope and grief can exist together.

Moby has released a new single and video for Like a Motherless Child,' from his forthcoming album Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt. Featuring LA-based soulstress Raquel Rodriguez, Like a Motherless Child' is a re-work of the well-known spiritual, with its origins in the slavery of the American South. The track describes the void left when one feels separated from a parent, higher power or similar guiding force. Over the years this powerful song has been reinterpreted by the likes of Odetta, Lena Horne, Mahalia Jackson and Van Morrison. The album is a glowing tapestry exploring spirituality, individuality and the brokenness of humanity and finds him returning to his orchestral, soul, trip-hop and gospel roots.

The Broken Orchestra return with their brand new 'Blinded EP'. This release is the first since welcoming new members Emily Render (Vocals) and Tom Kay (Guitar) to the fold, joining founding producers Pat Dooner and Carl Conway-Davis.

The EP, Produced and mixed by The Broken Orchestra and mastered by Pete Maher (The 1975, U2, Paul Weller), features 5 brand new tracks which combine the groups trademark chopped, laid back, melodic trip-hop with ambient textures.

In early 2017, after several years of releasing music as a production only outfit, with appearances from various talented musicians, and with BBC 6Music and Radio 1 airplay under their belt, Pat Dooner and Carl Conway- Davis announced that they would be taking The Broken Orchestra live with the help of Emily Render and Tom Kay. Since its inception, the music of Portland, Oregon's 1939 Ensemble has always explored the relationship between rhythm and melody. On the quartet's new EP Beats & Saints, that connection—between pulse and phrase—is turned inside out. The record finds vibraphonist José Medeles, percussionist David Coniglio, trumpeter Josh Thomas, and guitarist Knate Carter in a loose, playful mode, interpreting songs by Charles Mingus, Björk, the Breeders, and Stereolab, alongside two new Ensemble originals. Melodic, surprising, and rhythmically dense, this EP finds the band teaming with experimental music legend
Ralph Carney , known for his work with Tom Waits, Bill Laswell, Jonathan Richman, and Martin,Medeski, and Wood, and many more, along with Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tinariwen). Demonstrating the band's inside humor, a Korg Rhythm 55 drum machine also receives a guest' credit. Hunkering down in the 1939's own B-Sides Studios, the band and guests indulges in the time-honored tradition of musicians simply blowing off steam, seeing what happens when combustible elements are combined. The record is an example of open collaboration. It was such a great energy,' Medeles says of the band's collaborations with outside musicians. It was really about friendship and energy as much as anything.' Since 2013's Howl & Bite , recorded by Coniglio and Medeles as a duo in 2010, 1939 Ensemble has expanded its parameters with each release, adding members like Thomas and Carter as time's gone on. This EP finds that expansion playing out stylistically, tying together and ultimately transmuting disparate threads of groove, noise, and rhythm . It's a casual assemblage, a nice collage of songs,' Medeles says, but a picture of a band recording music in their own space—in their own terms.' The resulting recording is a demonstration of that sonic vocabulary, used to stun and wow.

Baad John Cross's New Revolution is a Afro-electro-funk-boogie-disco banger that could only come from 1980s Nigeria. Bright, optimistic, with an unrelenting eye on the dance floor, it is regarded by many as a prototype of the electro rhythms that would become the signature sound of Nigerian boogie. A Cameroonian by birth, Cross arrived in Lagos a cheeky smile, a pair of white dungarees and a bag full of songs. After proving his chops with uncredited session work, he signed with the legendary Coconut label, hooked up with producer Modjo Isidore and created a stone cold boogie classic in New Revolution. 'Gimme Some Lovin' and 'Get Up And Dance Salsa' (briefly a dance craze in Lagos, apparently) are dance floor classics, 'Jeanie My Love' the obligatory love ballad and 'We Need Freedom' a Marleyesque call for peace across the continent. The real surprise is 'Rock n Roll Birthday', a rockabilly number straight out of 80's London. (The cover photo has a similar vibe.) Sadly, New Revolution was to be Baad John Cross's only album. He was soon back in Cameroon, eking out a career as a session musician, but not before creating one of the freshest Nigerian boogie albums ever made.

This journey started for Flox on the Reunion island, in the lost heights of the Mafate cirque.
It is in this area cut of from the world, only accessible by foot, that the English multi-instrumentalist found himself face to face with the thrilling and endless feeling of being lost and in danger once again. A sensation that had faded away through time, weakening the flickering flame of inspiration.
Listening only to his instincts, leaving aside past experiences and moving forward freely are the main ingredients of this sixth album Taste Of Grey. An album conditioned by inspiration, each song catching the feeling of the moment and releasing unblemished

Oberst & Buchner are next up on Freeride Millenium and the two Bavaria born, Vienna based producers deliver an EP that offers their interpretation of what 'modern summer togetherness sounds like.' The talented pair started making music together aged 15 and aim to cook up emotionally driven jams. They do so on labels like Heimlich, Underyourskin Records, Schönbrunner Perlen, Lokd, and always get the juices going, as they do once again here. Beginning with the brilliant 'Greg' we dive into a breakbeat bath of summery chords as playful claves dance on the horizon. It is a melodically rich track with spiritual feelings that really bliss you out. On the moodier 'Emile' night time arrives and warm chords mix with jangling, organic glass and percussive tinkles that reflect rays of light. It's a perfectly jazzy and loose number that really suspends you in a rueful place. Last but not least, 'Embrace' is a fluid intergalactic convention with sparse drum kicks weighed down by sombre synths. A skittish, dubstep style groove then comes in and elevates the track with gentle guitar licks and slithering synths adding colour, and overall it has the same zoned out feel as a thousand-yard stare. This is a brilliant mood EP that mixes up the synthetic with the organic, creating some fascinating grooves as a result. Midnight Dicers are a trio from Tel-Aviv. They comprise of Sabo aka Obas Nenor (Mahogani Music / Strictly Rhythm), Ariel Klachkin and Eliezer Perez. They are a steady fixture in the city's nightlife, as DJ's and owners of underground clubs/bars. The collaboration with Samy Birnbach aka Dj Morpheus came naturally as they are longtime fans of his work with Minimal Compact the legendary group from the 80´s and as Dj Morpheus A&R & Compiler (Freezone series) for SSR/Crammed Discs in Brussels and his weekly Radio show the Lysergic Factory. Also featuring on the track is berry sakharof, one of minimal compact's guitarist. Icing on the cake comes in form of a dub version plus remixes from Smagghe & Cross and head honcho Prins Thomas

ISON is the debut album of Iranian-born Dutch artist Sevdaliza. After releasing her latest Edison nominated visual masterpiece HUMAN, and her acclaimed short film The Formula', next to worldly known
3D experiences for That Other Girl' and Marilyn Monroe', Sevdaliza is defining art with her mystical audio-visual experiences.

So far Sevdaliza already amassed millions of plays on Youtube and Spotify. She recently collaborated with A$AP Ferg and was also featured on Parisian producer STWO's latest single Haunted'.

As much as ISON is about the human experience, it is mostly about Sevdaliza returning to her spirit guided by past lives. By following her intuition, her unconscious guided her on a path which one present form might never reproduce. All the knowledge that is not of the senses, not of the intellect, not of the heart but is the property that belongs to the deepest aspect of your being.' ISON is an experience of that being.

Sevdaliza's melancholic visceral voice floats over beds of thumping trip hop dubs, married with classical harmonies and cutting strings setting an enigma. Rhythmic tensions build slowly into chaotic climaxes. ISON has been described as genre- bending', drawing on various genres.

Her writing, influenced by intuition and experiences in past lives, has a philosophical questioning character, subjects like spirit diversification and perception of emotion are strongly present. Divine energies blend harmonically within. Sevdaliza plays with the simulation of lives that can hardly be distinguished from truth. Creating a reality where everything is possible. To Sevdaliza, expression comes forward in designing every detail in sound and imagery.

L One is a young Munich Hip Hop beat smith and a lover of drum computers. With only 24 years, he already has a considerable discography as producer. Including projects such as ATP's "C'est La Vie Or What" (2016 on Bumm Clack) as well as Weltuntergäng's "Dogmatikers Elfen" (2014 on Tieftonkultur). As a part of Akere and Manufaktur, he also ventured into new genres in the recent years and provided new approaches to TripHop and Dubstep.

RSD 2017 release. The Berlin based artist OFRIN from Israel released her wonderful album "Ore" on Albumlabel in 2016. Now, Albumlabel debuts with the 10" single vinyl format with three tracks that are linked to this working period. A1 contains a long and deep dubbing club remix of her song "Black Box" by Berlin/Canadian DEADBEAT. The original appeared on the album as outstanding special arrangement excluding any clear drumwork. But swimming on such a strong rythmic pattern out of chords and puls that leads into a clear hypnotic piece of music. OFRIN's majestic voice could not be crowned better by music. DEADBEAT is following this lead adding his unique touch of up to date club and dub productions. The B Side opens with a wide open minded ambient mix by Berlin producer PILOCKA KRACH. Her version of "Direction Eclipse" uses the song title as a map for music that tumbles in the direction eclipse. Finally, B2 is OFRIN's cover version of the song "Traume" that has been famous in the version by FRANCOISE HARDY in 1970. She already sung the song in a French German accent - untouchable, cool, destroying and charming. This feeling is now taken by OFRIN with a kinda different accent into 2017 and is strongly moving on co-producer Marco Haas aka T.RAUMSCHMIERE. His work is the perfect stage for OFRIN's, modern, now, analogue, digital.

This release is the first limited 10" by Albumlabel created for the record store day in April 2017.
