Beats Vinyl New Releases - News

Hold tight the whistle crew, because Ed Solo & Deekline have dropped a meaty mighty ravey sizzler of a track. Blow Out is a sumptuous club banger that riffs off a ravey vocal, junglistic drums and epic pads and strings. The label's 11th release skips smoothly between full and half time beats and also makes sure to deliver a healthy portion of the kind of bass mayhem you've come to expect from Sludge. On the flip, Deekline and Product.01 head out into peaktime ghetto house territory, ripping up a wobbly throwdown of epic proportions to send those hands into the air. Whatever your flavour, this one's all about the heavy dancefloor ill behaviour. Get on it!

Strait out of bass camp, Vicious Audio begins its assault with a massive single by Triage.

Now joining Cargo's ever-lengthening register of exclusively distributed labels, Australian imprint Sub Continental Dub open their account with a reissue of this tremendous late 2009 EP from Deepchild, now fully available in the UK for the first time. Sydney electro-dub veteran Deepchild is a highly respected producer, DJ and live performer, and the two fresh tracks he delivers here both travel in an abstract, futuristic and dubby tech-house direction while retaining the deep-bass dancefloor pressure he is known for. 'Shameless In Seattle' picks up a loose funky thread, mixed with heavily chopped and screwed hip hop lyricism, reminiscent of Shadowhuntaz in parts, ricocheting through a dense backdrop of electro synths and insistent steppy sub-bass pulses while a garage squelch drives the gnarled mutant percussion. 'Wannado' is more downbeat and glitch-dubby, yet simultanously tense and sensuous, sending chunky drum breaks crackling through a hypnotic backdrop of detached house vocal refrains and warm Asian-flavoured synths. On the remix tip, Glagow's Gravious (of Hotflush & Highpoint Lowlife) unlocks the dubby grooves of 'Wannado' and edges closer to the centre of the dancefloor with a refined version that gives more room to the tracks' house elements, while his shuffling beats and rolling bass pull off a neat trick of suggesting a retro-garage feel at the same time as signalling a forward path. Rounding out the EP, Sub Continental Dub label boss and fellow Sydney producer Westernsynthetics rewires 'Shameless...' as a seismic two-step / dubstep excursion, darker-edged and more aggressive, which cleverly updates the early Detroit-influenced Warp sound for a moody and sparse heads-down number with tough kicks, distant grinding metal, and smartly applied sub bass.

DUBSTEP MIXES OF THE MASSIVE KICK START.

Genetix are the amazing and exciting new act that we have just been signed to Audio Phreaks. This 3 track EP is just a sprinkle of what they have lined up 'Squid attack' is like nothing you've ever heard before and sounds like an underwater bass barrage big enough to sink the titanic! It's an absolute monster that will eat you for breakfast, lunch, a light snack and then dinner! The production really shines through on their records and you can hear that they have been producing for quite some time. Then we have 'All that remains' and 'Keep it gutter' that are just as dirty and disgusting as 'Squid attack' Watch ya bass bins im telling ya

The third release on Dublin imprint Ghetto Quietly presents the debut EP from New York grown, Irish dubbed Lady Grew. A stripped back four track selection of grinding tribal ragga and bass-rave smeared dancehall a la Warrior Queen vs The Bug or Dokkebi Q, all oiled down in sleazy 808 sub tones. With Karl Kong (aka Prince Kong) on the beats and Lady Grew on the mic this is a riotous sultry affair not to be missed.

Downlink has been punishing dancefloors all over the planet with his heavy brand of dubstep. With roots in Jungle & DnB, he is no stranger to the vile side of subsonic dance music. Growing up in a cold industrial town in British Columbia, Canada, he was first introduced to dubstep in 2007 and soon after took to production. While maintaining an appreciation for the sparse and laid-back vibes of the old school, Downlink set out to explore a more frantic, adrenaline fuelled style, influenced by everything from heavy metal to astrophysics. His first two releases charted at #1 on several popular online music stores and soon he found his way onto Rottun Recordings which seemed a suiting place for his music. While consistently coming up with sick material time after time, he has gained DJ support from the likes of Nero, Excision, Datsik, Rusko, Dieselboy, Crookers and many more. Downlink is not one to be pigeon-holed and is constantly on a quest to evolve and refine his sound. With this in mind, one thing will always remain constant - a pure unadulterated heavy listening experience...

The power of youth is being felt all around the world right now, as dictators fall and governments wobble in the face of youngsters fighting against apparently dark futures. Here, Shifting Peaks harnesses some of that energy for a split 12' double header from two of the most promising young producers around. We'd like to think 18 year old South Londoner Alfie Macgibbon aka Graphics has been out there sticking it to The Man whilst jumping around to POW! and keeping the Old Bill on their toes. But we don't hear much from him tbh, and from the depth and quality of these two future-steppers,' Blue Top' and 'Brian Said to Me', we reckon he's been hidden away, quietly building his own vision of the future while real life goes on elsewhere. Birminghams' Emvee's is of an age where he doesn't need to worry about the Tory Millionaire clubs further education plans, having established himself way back in the heady days of 2009 with his landmark 'Glitch Dub' on NMBRS. Now he unleashes a tropical banger in the shape of the percussive floor shaker 'Windrush' and a driving, Funky-tech bumper 'Strength'. Two young producers, 4 tracks, a world to win. Keep the fires burning brother and sisters.

Remixes from J Sparrow and Jamie Grind. 500 only.

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, poly lined sleeves, hand stamped by the artist. Limited edition of 350 copies, extra limited edition of hand printed sleeves (100/350) by the artist (Brun) to prove a point, that vinyl is still worth making and is still desirable whether you got a turntable of not! Bored with the dull digital downloads of today's so called dance music scene, Swayzak & Greta Cottage Workshop bring you a 100% vinyl only release. This is the first release on vinyl for GCW and we hope to continue the series. It seems DJ's only want to play what they get for free these days and this baby they have to pay for(!) so don't expect it in too many charts. Positive feedback from Michael Mayer, Damien lazarus, Patrice Baumel and Eddie Richards to name a few. A Seriously underground release from the always alternative thinkers Swayzak.
A: Serieculture - Swayzak Mix (240 volts side) - (Serieculture a name for Swayzak side projects since 2007) this track is reminiscent of a vintage LFO tune with the usual Swayzak moodiness. Deep yet heavy yet subtle.
AA: Out of Platos Cave - Surrounded By The Sun - Bruns Submariner Mix (Greta Cottage Workshop Side) - Worked and reworked by Brun this remix began life in august 2009. Brun asked for the vocals to be re-recorded to his rough mix of the original. Super deep in the territory of Villalobos, a late night early morning loved up tune! Out of Platos Cave - Torquay based duo, from the studio of Aural Imbalance.

Are you ready~ Subatomic Sound (NYC) teams up with People's Records (Kingston, JA) for the first in a series of releases bringing together top Jamaican artists with top electronic producers worldwide. Kicking off with an extra loud bang, is the "Vampires & Informers" release, a rare look at Elephant Man, one of the world's top dancehall artists, vocally delivering a ferocious portrait of Jamaica's "vampire" politicians, "bloodsucking" informers, and the "military society" of the ghetto youths

ou're about to experience the first long-playing album of Pavan, the originator of Skweee-music. Skweee, also known as the synthetic Scandinavian funk, is a worldwide phenomena hailing originally from the frosty alleys of Stockholm and Helsinki.

Dubline presents their latest hot signing from Israel: Tomba (Buygore, Rottun, Basspunch Records).

Midlands (UK) based trio w/roots in D&B & metal adds minimal techno to dubstep & constructed some of the more intricate steppers to be pushed out of a sub. A leans towards the LTJ Bukem side, B moves in slightly darker direction w/old skool rhythms.

Never a label to do things by halves, smashing up Fabric's dancefloors on the regular and unleashing artists like Caspa and Rusko onto the world of dance music, Dub Police are adding their stamp of approval to the next wave of dubstep superstars. This time it's Subscape's turn to raise some audio hell with a set of tunes that've been staples in the sets of Skream, Benga and The Others for months. Setting things off with a bang, Subscape takes a sample that'll be familiar to any D&B fan and crafts it into a straight up dancefloor monster. 'Screw Up' is what you'll be doing with your face when this one drops! 'Just Coz' heads down into an epic journey of gradually progressing bass notes, winding electronic effects and sweet euphoric pads; post-rave progressive dubstep. Continuing on the epic vibes is 'All Day' with another familiar vocal snippet and tinkling piano lines all riding effortlessly over a driving bassline while 'Mr Kipling' proves that Subscape can make 'exceedingly good' tunes with a filthy jump-up swagger. DJ Support: Benga, Caspa, Rusko, Scratch Perverts, Skream, 16bit, 501, Doctor P, Excision, Futurebound, Hatcha, High Rankin, Jakwob, Mensah, Mistajam, Mrk1, Reso, Rossi B & Luca, Sukh Knight, TC, The Others and more!

After a short spell away, Caspa is back with one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year on his own Sub Soldiers imprint. First up is an anthem that has been lighting up dancefloors airwaves globally as of late, in the shape of 'Back For The First Time' featuring Dub Police label mate D1. Gathering heavy support on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac & Zane Lowe, as well as being battered in the clubs by the who's who of dubstep A-listers this is fast becoming one of the biggest tracks to emerge from the scene so far this year and it's not hard to see why with it's catchy eutrophic chords and growling bass - this is no doubt going to be one of the tracks of the summer! On the flip Caspa teams up with another label mate; Subscape, for a tune that has torn apart countless dancefloors lately. 'Geordie Racer' takes no prisoners with its driving beats and outrageous basslines, anyone who has been lucky enough to be in a rave when this monster drops will no doubt tell you the carnage it creates in the dance. Again gaining support from dubstep royalty and being featured on Caspa's 'MyStyle' mix CD. All in all this is one obscenely big release that you can't afford to pass on - big things once again from the Caspa & the Sub Soliders / Dub Police camp.

It's a UK Funky mash-up - tracks by DJ Zinc & Lil Silva with well known vocals on them
