Following on from their own EP, the latest offering from Hanuman and Atki2's Steak House imprint sees Baobinga, Poirier and a host of MCs join the Steak House Family. STEAK 003 sees the label moving into bashment territory with the original Bass Music badman Baobinga serving up three prime cuts of juicy vocal raggastep. Backed by a remix by Karnival king Poirier, this record is crammed full of party heat. Sam Baobinga has been one of the most important producers on the British Music Scene over the last five years. With releases on labels such as Soul Jazz, Ninja Tune and Positiva as well as his own Build imprint and remixes for artists like Guru, The Ragga Twins, and The Wu Tang Clan, Baobinga has consistently reinvented and reshaped his sound and stayed several steps ahead of the game. This release sees 'Binga push his heavy 'raggastep' sound; bass heavy vocal bashment with a nod to the lush full synth sounds of future garage and featuring original voicings by some of the UK's hottest MCs. FIRE!

The latest release on Mala's Deep Medi imprint is a four track double pack Vinyl shrink-wrapped with a 45min mix CD. The mix features all the tracks on the E.P. and upfront dubplates from V.I.V.E.K It comes on the back of his first Medi release last year 'Kulture' b/w 'Meditation Rock' and countless dubplates that you'll no doubt have heard if you've checked the Anti Social Entertainment on Rinse FM. Fusing digidub, sound system deep bass, rolling percussion, a hint of Berlin techno it all adds up to those 'Medi' style vibes; eyes down, blissed out, heavy weight music.
The title track, 'Feel It' kicks things off in fine style with some of the most infectious rolling tablas - his percussion is just sublime. A vocal sample declaring the weight of your bass and the largeness of your soundsystem is all the track needs to usher in a chest thumping sub sonic bass tone and there is no way back you're sucked into that soup of sub bass frequencies. 'Grandfather Clock' counts down to a dance floor meltdown when the metronome-like sample, half tempo drum patterns and hefty bass melts into blazing techno buzzes that just keep coming, it's those killer synths that make it, truly coming from nowhere.
The deeply blissful 'Motherland' is one for the meditative crew, subtle but weighty bass pulses roll off half stepping rhythms, tablas and all that good stuff all accented with Indian vocals instrumentation. It's so deep, minimal it would make Youngsta proud. The final track 'Strategy' is a roller with a garage kind of swing to it, it skips along with big room dub techno chords twisting in and out of the bumpy beats it really comes alive and picks up the pace. Pure vibes all the way.

finally repressed! PART 2 OF THE BORGORE RUINED DUNSTEP FT DIPLO

Subway Recordings has been a steady force within the dubstep scene the last 3 years.. Not only as a label but also as one of the most forward thinking party crews on the Dutch scene. Some of the leading Dubstep names have passed through Subway first before becoming the new rockstars of today.

Klute's first album in 2 years titled 'Music for Prophet', on his own 'Commercial Suicide' imprint. As on his previous albums, Klute stays true to himself with another non-commercial, yet 100% dancefloor friendly longplayer that - just like his excellent dj sets - offers the right balance of musical tunes alongside some real heavy hitters. Tom Withers, started back in 1994, i think when he was asked for a name to keep exclusive to Certificate 18 records when they agreed on 2 tracks to be his first single. It was there he stayed until 2000 when he delivered his 2nd final album for Cert 18 called Fear Of People. At this point in time Tom decided to make a change and realising no one else was interested in releasing his music decided to set up his own label. With his own platform set up he realized anything was possible, he could even release music by other idiots. Which he did. Perhaps too much. An interesting fact no one knows about Tom Klute is that he is the world's leading composer of Airport music. Most of you who've travelled the friendly skys will have unknowingly heard his works at one time or another. Now we come to 2010 and Klute is ready for fucking more, and more it is with his 6th album 'Music for Prophet'. All of Klute's previous albums have been released to critical acclaim and this one will not stand behind, showing that Klute's consistency as an artist reaches into 2010 and beyond. The album which also features a collaboration with Dom & Roland will be released as triple coloured vinyl, 2 X CD and Digital download. The additional CD & digital download package promises bonus material including techno tracks.

The self-titled debut EP from rising San Francisco-based artist oOoOO (pronounced "oh" will see its highly anticipated release on 12" vinyl

2 tunes that are as chilled out as an Eskimo on a cold day, as relaxed as a cat on a summers day and as mellow as a stoned hippie at a field day.

'Good Things' marks a shift in methodology from personal to political for Aloe Blacc, who refers to the project as his report on present conditions - the misappropriation of wealth, pillaging of resources, universal lack of compassion, and the struggle to survive. Ethereal production from Truth & Soul's Leon Michels and Jeff Silverman mask a foreboding undercurrent in which Aloe Blacc crafts thought provoking lyrics. Nowhere is this more evident than on hit lead single 'I Need A Dollar'. The ultra-limited 3LP deluxe edition of 'Good Things' features a bonus disc of instrumentals in addition to the standard album's 13 tracks, and will only be available to order in advance of release ... which means now.
