The Black Dog are a legendary live act whose ability to destroy venues and wreck soundsystems is undeniable. They blur the boundaries between DJing and performance while possessing an excellent sense of where to take the crowd. Live, they represent purist techno, which is also utterly crowd pleasing.

The deliciously off-kilter and wholly unique musical oeuvre of Connan Mockasin stands defiantly alone in the current musical landscape. Exploring the furthest flung horizons of pop music on his critically acclaimed album "Forever Dolphin Love", the New Zealand born, current London resident synthesises the playful aural experimentation of pop mavericks past and present like Joe Meek.

Anticon founder and instrumental rap innovator Alias is reborn with Fever Dream, his sixth full-length for the label. Alias' acclaimed 2008 LP Resurgam represented a culmination of the sound he'd been chasing the previous five years -- a bewitchingly blue combination of icy atmosphere, haunted melodies and hard drums. He cleansed his palate with 2010's Fallen House, Sunken City, the modern boom-bap masterpiece he produced for emcee B. Dolan, and when it came time to return to the Alias oeuvre, he was ready for a reboot.

Aardvarck returns with his third full length album for Eat Concrete Records. 'Anti Concept' showcases a taste for deep ambient and minimalstic soundscapes, dub, Detroit techno and bass heavy beats, mixed into a perfect flow. As the title suggests 'Anti Concept' leaves aside musical genres and focuses on atmosphere rather than style.. TIP
On 'Anti Concept' Aardvarck carefully and patiently builds his own world of sound, adding layers and complexity with each track.

Claire Boucher speaks a different language. And Halfaxa, her second album, feels like the dictionary from which we might discern just where this being comes from. Halfaxa is simultaneously more human than Geidi Primes, and yet falls deeper into a hole of mystical obscurity. The lyrics, as throughout this album, are designed to be an additional instrument, and not necessarily a device that gives obvious meaning to the proceedings. There is a strong focus on primeval and simplistic percussion to Boucher's music, though I am apprehensive to compare it directly to club music. Even with all the fog and barriers she presents us with, at the core of her music is the human heart. There is a heartbeat in every note. Her breath is often used as a percussive element. Somehow, Grimes says more about life through her methodology than through what she literally chooses to say. Like all great world music, her sound transcends language.

RECORDED AND MIXED MARCH 2010 IN VIENNA
HERGOVICH - REHBERG - SCHACHINGER - WEISSEGGER
Peterlicker were an underground unit operating between autumn 1989 to possibly spring 1990. Playing 3 or 4 blistering performances, and rehearsing even less. So underground that even the actual members had forgotten its existence! Inactive for 20 years, Last Slave is not so much a return to form but picking the pieces again. And yes, those pieces were very broken.

Another sizzling power block from Menche. This time capturing the intense force of various Pacific Northwest waterfalls, to create a mind blowing audio sculpture. This single track slices its way through the sonic spectrum over 39 minutes of high end processing. One hell of beauty of a beast! Packaged in stunning, almost disturbing artwork.

NEW VERSION WITH ARTWORK BY TINA FRANK BASED ON THE ORIGINAL 2001 MEGO RELEASE!
"Endless Summer", originally released in 2001 by Mego, was a breakthrough album for Christian Fennesz. The album which brought his name and music towards the first steps of mainstream recognition. Following on from the more experimental "Hotel Paral.lell" and the Beach Boys homaged "Plays" single, "Endless Summer" brought the guitars more to the front, the electronics shimmered more, and the melodies shined more brightly. It went on to be a classic of its time, topping many end of year polls.
