For it’s fourth instalment Dublin imprint 393 welcomes Dylan Forbes to the fold, and with this comes the labels first solo 12”. Forbes is an up and coming Irish producer and for his debut on 393 delivers an EP that fits in perfectly with the label’s previous releases, melding house, techno, bleep and acid sounds across 4 songs.

Opening with the suitably-titled Hypnotise, Forbes is at his most restrained, teasing with a broken beat rhythm and svelte minor chord progression before the acid starts to seep in underneath the timeless groove, eventually stripping the track back to just the 303 and drums.

For the midsection of the release those familiar with the sounds of Transmat-era Aril Brihka and the 3rd wave of Detroit-inspired techno will find much to love in the driving progressions and ethereal soundscapes of Starburst and the slamming chords of Trip 2 Jupiter which really gives this record a classic feel

Inspiral closes out the EP with the releases most dancefloor heavy cut, taking its cues not just from classic Detroit but also the rave-inflected bleep & acid sounds of Sheffield, while always keeping a strong melodic temperament. 393x04 is not only designed with the club in mind but across it’s 4 songs has many moods to fit the floor depending on the time and stage of the night. One can’t ask for much more than that...

Berlin fellow Sauna takes over Side A with proper heat, cutting chords and a bumpy bassline, followed by groove driven and quirky breaks. On Side B the get in touch long time compañero Luas flies out to space with heavy electro breaks. By teaming up with David, Luas lands the spaceship with nostalgic moods of the interstellar flight and guides you home with ground control.

Discodelic records is back, this time with one of Detroit’s most prolific producers, Gari Romalis. The “Disco Tech” EP is a blend of raw house, techno and sparkles of disco, resulting in 4 rhythmic dancefloor tracks analogically produced. Really hard not to dance on this!

This is a masterpiece of the Italian producer Gianluca Pegoiani. Heavy beat, mysterious organic instrument and female vocal make this track a powerfull dancefloor hit.

Glueped is the joint production of the two Romanian artists―Melodie & Teluric. They have merged their musical understandings into a new sound, which combines both mystical harmonies and elemental grooves.

Peren is the third vinyl featuring Glueped, released in April 2020. This vinyl emphasizes the contemporary underground scene vibes while offering a glimpse of the forthcoming sound of Cinetic Art record label.

"1959" is a concept album dedicated to my father. The main theme is based on my particular perception of travel and movement, which are both narrated with similar and different electronic sounds at the same time. The double vinyl edition is divided into 4 sides entitled "Moon", "Flight", "Space" and "Land". The vocals of some tracks, such as "The Aircraft", were made with fragments of vocal announcements recorded in the airports during my tours. The plane, already featured on the cover of the single "Lux", is interpreted as a mysterious vehicle that travels in space-time. The album cover instead portrays my father's motorcycle, as if it were suspended in the sky during the transition from night to day, which in this case symbolizes the transition from the noise of earthly life to the stillness of eternity. In this new work of mine I found my Synth-pop, Electro and Ambient influences, combined with rhythms that lend themselves well both to listening and to the dance floor. Enjoy it!

In 2009 Synus and Maks launched a new electronic music label called Panel Trax Records. Panel Trax is a Hungary, Budapest based label.

Remix time! The ever on-point andhim look back over their last two releases on their Superfriends imprint and call up some good friends for a few cheeky version excursions: Johannes Albert, Kalupke, Neil Landstrumm and Toto Chiavetto. The results leave no stone unturned…

First come the remixes of the duo’s last single ‘Buenos Aires’. Deeper and more contemplative than the German duo’s originals, Johannes Albert adds a whole new melodic layer and classic late 80s Mr Fingers style twist to ‘Aires’ while Kalupke takes ‘Buenos’ on more of a journeyman vibe. Warm pads are dominant character and while the original’s pipes remain the mystic focus there’s a great lolloping, long-winding road feel to the drums.

Deeper into this epic trove we dive as Neil Landstrumm does what he does best and completely turns ‘Duno’ inside out. Full attention on the warped electroid bass, it’s a no messing piece of trippy techno with a hook your dancefloor will be singing for days. Finally the unstoppable Toto Chiavetta closes business with a complete curveball remix of ‘Windows 85’. to Angioma’s new EP „Brighten Up“. Barcelona calls on some

Veteran Chicago House pioneer Boo Williams delivers stand out genre melding EP on Italian record label, NICEPEOPLE. The three track EP meanders through elements of house and techno with real depth. This is the “LOL” EP, landing January 2021 on vinyl, and you can happily say this one fully lives up to its expectations.

The title track “LOL” chugs along with pure energy of sounds of the past, twisting beeps and bleeps whirring throughout. The shuffling drums make this one, brushing by as they continue to drive the opener. The clue is in the title here as Williams uses trippy samples of laughter which flash in and out throughout the duration.

Next on the agenda is “Backwards Run”, a blissful deep and emotive encounter with Boo doing what he does best. Trickling synths and pads meander around a clean cut house arrangement, voices circle around the belly of the track making this another hypnotic outing.

Elastic bass creates a sense of urgency in “Bangin Out”, the last of the EP which takes up the whole of the B-side. A real abrupt and direct track, the kind that leaves the crowd in a trance when utilised in the right moment, creating suspense in the club room before elevating to the next track. A tinge of acid and intelligent keys arrangement make this masterpiece.

This is Boo Williams at his finest once more, landing on a label that is not afraid to push a variety of sounds as long as the consistent quality is there. A real nod to sounds of the past, no egos in sight, just plain and simple effective dance floor sounds from one of the heroes of this vibe.

Conceived in the middle of the cold and hollow North Sea, the story of "Moartea Unui Ego" EP dates back to 2017, when Romanian talent Core was travelling through boundless expanses of water that, over the days, have shaped the earth of the three originals. Opener "Acid Holidays" is a top-notch piece full of cosmic sounds, 303 splashes and epic pads that bounces over an unceasing bassline, always ready to erupt. Lucas Buchta and Gary Pilz have been profound producers for a good chunk of the last decade. Throughout the years, their individual forces intertwined into a germafrican vision. Combining Luc's love for a detailed arrangement and Gary's exceptional sound design, their project "LADS" was born. The German & South African duo has seen their first releases dropped in 2017, including a debut remix on Nie Wieder Schlafen that climbed up various Spotify playlists and marked the start of continuous collaboration between the label and artists. Three years later, the team returns for an ambitious original release, pressed on black gold.

The hypnotic effect of “Necontenit” comes in force as soon as the shadowy chords are making their appearance and emerges into an actual story that can be told in words but we will leave that to you. Ben Rau has been steadily developing his unique twist on modern house music over the past few years via his Inkal and Meta imprints with heavy hitter support across the board from Seth Troxler to The Black Madonna.

Recent times have seen Ben expand his sonic palette with a rework of Roy Ayers' classic 'Holiday' for the BBE imprint, tapping into a more soul-infused house style as a nod to the original.

For the jubilee of the 10th release on Questo, labelhead Francesco Ballato brings together some friends of the close environment for a „Various Artist“ compilation on vinyl and digtal. Mandibula, Stoga, Senoo and Bee Lincoln in collaboration with Francesco represent diverse aspects and musical components. which unite groove, melody and danceabilty for maximum enjoyment.

Side A1 features a cooperation of long-term groove brothers Francesco Ballato and Bee Lincoln. „Daddys Choice“ was born in a jam session and re-edited to serve a full bass load on a summerlicious track. Smart percussion pattern give a nice fluff as a compensation to slant and humorous synth sounds, embedded on positive sphere vibes.

Senoo, who already released on labels like Tzinah Rec., Baile Musik or Whoyostro, comes up with the title „Baby loves Sour Diesel“. An incredibly groovin’ tightness pairs with a deep flowin’ sphere and makes this track super-functional on the floor.

Flip the side and here we go with Stoga, who is in charge for the latest release on Questo. „Arrived“ is a warm-shakin’ and well-tempered tune with a theme-like melodic synth. Ready for open airs.

Freiburg-based Heimatliebe artist Mandibula takes over the warmth and adds a slightly driving rhythm in „Feeling Frenzy“. Known for his affinity in sound aesthetics of generating moods with synth-based elements, he does what he can do the best: an extraordinarily intense and mind-blowing tune for the clubs.

Arranged at the border of Dub and Progressive, this EP intones a relationship between the old and new like a chess game. Featuring a 3 tracker belonging to Greek mastermind: Mikael Delta and label boss: Kirill Matveev with an undeniable timeless quality. This is for sure one of Mixcult’s finest crafted and most important releases up to date, bringing home an eternal classic and two new “gems to be” themes.

Side A brings one of the most expected releases ever for Mixcult Records. This unreleased anthem appeared as a mysterious track on Hernan Cattaneo’s “Sequential” compilation, back in 2006. The track “Baboo” in which Mikael Delta exteriorizes a florid, unidiomatic and over polite form of language through sounds comes out as a highlight of fine-crafted, ahead of time progressive house cut. The unfazed pads, slow drip loops and profound voices of this peace are just an exceptional and sophisticated soundscape.

Side B1 features Kirill Matveev’s “Citron” which can be the cherry on the sundae for a peaktime house display. The track includes experimented arpeggios with some tweeked out acid sounds that layer perfectly with his signature dubby basslines.

Side B2 has a very heartfelt and ethereal theme, which can result as the perfect ending. “Pegasus Himself” by Kirill Matveev looks for the memorability and becomes the perfect tool to finish a night with the proper melodies.

Myk Derill is an integral part of the Knotweed family, producing music for the label since its inception in 2011. The funky bulldozer of techno (as some like to call him) created three tracks especially for our tenth birthday: bass-heavy, cold and groovy, minimal and funky at the same time: thank you Myk!
