Karriem Riggins to Release solo debut Alone Together, Instrumental Hip-Hop Album on Stones Throw,

Gay Marvine (pronounced Gay Marveen) is back once again with "The 3rd Gender," perhaps his best work to date. Just put on the opener and you'll find within this edit all the energy of a great party DJ, someone on the caliber of D Wynn, rocking the party at the peak, with the audience in the palm of his hand, in rapture dancing. Total control within total hedonism. We discussed the unique character that is Gay Marvine in our last press release, but just a reminder that he is a totally unique individual, an actual person, not just a persona, a creepy campy shadowy hedonist. Maybe he's a gay vampyre or something...

After blowing up the reggae mash-up scene with his very first release back in 2006, DJ Shepdog has quickly established himself as a dancefloor connessieur mixing up hip hop, reggae, drum & bass and whatever else fits the bill of "Righteous Party Vibes". Now a firm favourite at festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival, Big Chill, Outlook and many more, he can also regularly be found playing at clubs across the UK & Europe.

Boogie Boutique have only had one year in the game, and in that time they've smashed the Juno Download sales charts with their digital releases. To celebrate their first birthday, they've dipped their toes into the glorious world of vinyl with this double 12" with seven of the label's finest tracks to date plus one exclusive. The first 12" features Hayz' UB40 sampling "Ghetto Rat" and Ninelives The Cat's "Let Me In", (a brilliant fusion of "Be Good To Me" and "Cross The Tracks"), whilst the flip features Kid Stretch's "Get Down To The Funky Sound", featuring a cheeky Destiny's Child sample amongst its old school hip-hop good time feel, and Badboes' "Show Me Ghetto", an infectious rework of Robin S' 90s classic "Show Me Love", featuring numerous funk-acid tweaks. The second 12" meanwhile features Chris Awesome's bootleg of The Bees' "Payback", a heady mix of psychedelic rock and old school funk, and Nick Fonkynson's "D-Funk" featuring some heavy Wurlitzer solo action, and on the flip side, Funk Ferret's massive "Get Back To Funk" and John Farrugio's rework of Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet" - if this doesn't get the dancefloor going, nothing will. Make no mistake, this release is big!
