For its 23rd release, Daydream is very happy to welcome Argentinian talent Castoldi to the label. Split #3 is the latest installment in the Split Series released by Overthink Records, showcasing a dynamic blend of techno and EBM from talented producers. This record features two sides, each offering distinct yet complementary styles.

Corsica producer Charlou takes over the A side with two techno tracks, delivering a unique sound that seamlessly blends retro and modern elements.

On the B side, Italian producer Waveratio 618 makes a strong debut with two solid techno/EBM tracks. Waveratio 618's music is marked by its gritty textures, driving beats, and dark / atmospheric tones. Shuffle Valley kicks off its vinyl journey with a debut EP from label head Donnie Cosmo, presenting three original cuts that move through groove, breaks, and deeper sonic moods—plus a refined remix by Christopher Ledger.

The A1 sets the tone with a warm, groove-driven track aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Elastic basslines and shimmering percussion give it a rolling energy, while subtle psychedelic flourishes invite a kind of movement that’s both physical and inward.

Let Yourself Go ventures into the breakbeat territory, playing with loose, broken rhythms before smoothly transitioning into a steady 4/4 pulse. It’s a shape-shifter—fluid, unpredictable, and full of momentum.

The third original dives deeper. Hypnotic and introspective, it leans into a more mental space—spacey yet grounded, contemplative yet still groovy.

Closing the EP, talented Christopher Ledger offers a sleek rework of A2, adding space, clarity, and emotional weight. His remix floats with precision, enhancing the atmosphere while staying true to the original’s mood—a fitting final note for Shuffle Valley’s first vinyl chapter.

Already drawing support from a diverse spread of DJs including Raresh, Ben UFO, Dr Banana, Eris Drew, Chris Stussy, Wallace, Louise Chen (NTS) and more - the Heartbreak sound is designed for the DJ; a selectors handy weapon at the ready!

Somehow it feels fitting that 1+1 equals not only 11, but also the two slabs of vinyl carrying Henry Hodson’s music here. A small inside joke, perhaps, but also a sign of how naturally this record came together: instinctive and shaped with intention. Hodson — who first appeared on Limousine Dream and later with a subtle and beautifully controlled EP via Silky Beats — continues his trajectory between deep house warmth and minimal clarity. These six tracks are drawn with the sort of fine-grained rhythmic detail that rewards attention without ever demanding it. Light-footed percussion, elegant restraint, grooves that breathe. The double 12’’ format isn’t a gimmick; it’s a commitment. Each track gets the physical space and sonic depth it needs.

A set of tripped-out hardware workouts from one of the frontrunners of Mexico’s new underground sound, Iñigo Vontier. "Human Raves" plays like a transmission from a parallel dancefloor. Gritty acid lines, almost ritualistic broken rhythms and abstract structures shift without settling into fixed form.
