Imagine it prepared through the disciplines of molecular gastronomy. Boasting a catalogue of distinctive music Funnuvojere turned two this year. Its eight release comes from Clarinets the new alias of Tbilisi based Gacha Bakradze. Invisible Path is the title of this EP, a name that seems to reference Gacha's own nimble movements across cities and genres. It started in 2015 with a rather ambient LP with Apollo Records, and has recently seen him releasing a third LP with Barcelona's Lapsus Records. Despite this new skin, Gacha's identity can still be strongly felt in Clarinets. The four tracks composing this EP highlight Bakradze's mastership in designing harmonies. Graceful frequencies rise from the title track, driven by a steady arpeggio that builds and explodes in multiple directions. 'Dry Bridge' uses classic balearic sounds to decorate a powerful bass line, evoking an accelerated sunset at sea. The same balearic iterations define the deeply emotional 'Knee', in which the sound breathes and expands skywards. The closing track 'Afternoon' is a warm house ballad to round-off the last moments of a long after-hours session.

Underground prominent figures of the Belgian 80's scene, Alain Neffe and Nadine Bal have released and produced dozens of tapes under different monikers.

Two years may seem like a very short stop gap between original release and reissue, but when the music comes at this kind of grade who's complaining? Much like his contemporaries such as Fred P and DJ Qu, Patrice Scott's take on deeper-than-deep house conjure up ambient fantasies coloured with twinkling synth lines and slowly exhaled pads. It's not all fuzzed-out bliss though, as "2000 Black" sneaks a warm and snarling bassline amidst the soothing elements around it. "Mind Rhythms" especially shines with its combination of heavy groove and intricate melodies bubbling away under the surface.

Re-issue of essential Larry Heard album from the early 2000's... Love's Arrival! Now in DJ friendly triple vinyl package adding some of the favorites from CD release like 'Deja Vu' and 'Missing you (Jazz Cafe Mix)' to the vinyl package. And bonus... 'Luminous Energy' from the same sessions.

FOLAMOUR: Behind this surprising name is hidden one of the main House producer and DJ from France. Label manager of the amazing record labels Moonrise Hill Material and
FHUO Records, the artist using lots of different aliases has already burnt most of the best dancefloors in Europe and beyond. 2017 has been an important year in his career with releases on Church and Glitterbox labels, and a debut album on Moonrise Hill Material and Classic Music Company, after a whole series of successful records on quality labels such as All City Records, Fauxpas Musik and Sleazy Beats Recordings. Working on his second album after two EPs upcoming soon, it makes no doubt that it's only the beginning
for Folamour. NIT: NIT is the studio project of the French musician Corentin Kerdraon. After several years working at radios in Paris he released a first EP called Dessous de Plage in May 2017, displaying condensed grooves with multiple references, from Jean-Claude Vannier to Dam Funk... Alternating Pop projects and more experimental compositions he's present on different musical scenes as keyboard player and producer. He has just recorded an EP for the American singer COLA BOY released in spring 2018 on the French label Record Makers.

Young Marco mines deep into the 90s era Italian house underground and strikes absolute gold... Part 1 of 2..

This spring, Safe Trip will release Welcome To Paradiso, an expansive retrospective of the Italian dream house sound co-compiled by label founder Young Marco.

At the tail end of the 1980s, a new take on deep house began to emerge from Italian studios. 'Dream house' drew inspiration from key U.S deep house records of the period - the spacey melodiousness of Larry Heard's productions, and the rich jazziness of tracks originating in New Jersey in particular - but sounded distinctly different. Its' 'head-in-the-clouds' feel - all rich chords, tactile basslines, fluid piano lines and starry electronics - made 'dream house' a uniquely Italian proposition.

First and foremost, the style echoed the wavy, glassy-eyed positivity of the period more than any other. While music in the UK and the low countries was getting faster and heavier, Italy's 'dream house' producers continued to create music shot through with warmth and colourful musicality until 1993. While few 'dream house' records were made after then, its' sounds and loose aesthetic influenced subsequent styles such as trance and progressive house.

During its' peak, dream house - or, as it was tagged by leading Italian label DFC, 'ambient house' (echoing the similarly minded work of UK pioneers such as The Orb and The KLF) - could be heard blaring from club sound systems across Europe. The style's popularity was fuelled, in part at least, by the runaway international success of "Sueno Latino".

Welcome To Paradiso gathers together some of the finest examples of the style for the first time since the turn of the 90s. It includes a smattering of scene anthems - Key Tronics Ensemble's peerless "Calypso of House", Morenas's "Sonnambulism", the ambient mix of Last Rhythm's Italo-house classic "Last Rhythm" - alongside a swathe of hard-to-find, in-demand and forgotten gems.

There are cuts from key players in the movement - the likes of Don Pablos Animals, Sasha (later to find fame with a strong of bouncy, piano-heavy Italo-house cuts), and Dreamatic - plus a string of lesser-known names whose contribution to the evolution of the sound should not be overlooked. Young Marco has also found space for Leo Anibaldi's "Elements", a rare deep house outing from a producer who later helped define the sound of Roman techno.

Over the course of two double-vinyl compilations (and one extended digital download package), Welcome To Paradiso celebrates one of the most evocative and imaginative musical styles of electronic music's golden era. Kick off your shoes, turn your gaze skywards, and immerse yourself in the music.

Here we‘ve got two tunes that come with a fascinating story. Recorded in the late 70’s, but never released, this music was thought to be lost.But let’s go back to the beginning. Rose was originally a member of family affair called „The Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose“ heralding from Dania Beach, Florida. The group had early success with a recording contract with United Artists, which produced two albums in 1972 & 73 respectively, plus an extensive number of single release taken from these albums, which included the million seller ‘Too late to turn back now’.

But Rose’s story starts even further back, singing solo and as part of the Gospel Jazz Singers in the late 60’s, with even a solo appearance on The Ed Sullivan TV show. In 1970, at her mother’s request, she returned home to form the family group and to use her contacts in the music industry to move things forward. The group stayed together until 1976. Soon after Rose returned to a solo career, but few further releases appeared. During this time she recorded a number of tracks in Miami at The Music factory with producer Shirley Cowell, who later received a grammy nomination for her work with Lena Horne. Arrangement was done by gold-certified studio veteran Frank Owens. By this time the Disco sound had taken over much of the music industry and these tracks had a Hi-Energy feel that was much in favour at the time. This session produced the titles ‘Here’ and ‘I want you to stay with me’ but no release was forthcoming.

For many years they became almost forgotten, until the next chapter of the story.In 2018 DJ and record collector Dave Thorley saw an old & dusty acetate disc for sale online, credited to Rose Cornelius. When listening to it he realised that this was indeed Sister Rose of the aforementioned group and purchased it, initially with the intention of simply playing it in his DJ sets. Dave offered the disc to his friends of the Disco Bizarre crew from KitKatClub / Berlin for their record label. Rose, in turn, was contacted and she was kind enough to give permission for its release and additional contemporary remixes/ re-edits. Thus New York producer veteran DJ Duke and San Francisco Disco authority Jim Hopkins landed on the bill. You now have the results of this story on Disco Bizarre’s latest release - a story that has spanned fifty plus years. We at Disco Bizarre are excited about the final results and are happy we‘re able to share it with you.

Back To Life with this collection wants to propose a journey, with music.

Directly from one of his first productions on My Love Is Underground, "Don't Go" has been defined: "a very dark track with violent beats that can be used in a hard deep house or strong techno set! Very good use of vocals with a sensual female voice." "Negentropy" is perfect for club use. Someone says: "the kinda Deep gem that plays in your head for weeks."

Last but not least "VXVXVX" taken from the Balance label is a true classic of the modern deephouse.

Cassy returns with ‘E.T.Ascension’, a mini journey through the sounds of house and techno which she adores. With this release she revisits the simplistic methods she used when making music in previous years when living in Berlin with her then husband, where he helped build her home-studio in the living room. With him being an established sound engineer she learned a lot from him through the process and by using predominantly just an 808 and a PC, the pair produced the main parts of these tracks together, with Cassy finishing them off herself last summer. It reminded her of the weirdness that makes her productions so great, which is what she has pinned on this release, enjoying the feelings of freedom by using the machine again, and revisiting the feelings she had when using the machine for the first time, how fresh, new and particular the sounds were.

Disco beats to make people dance, warm basslines for a warm groove, emotional chords to give a soul to the track and of course some notes of piano to get that jazzy vibe. Here is what Herr Krank needed to build his new ep « Delighted ».

The A side continues their De-Mix series with another 80’s boogie refit of an early 90’s house classic vocal and an Italo House mix using a classic disco vocal getting strong support from Horse Meat Disco.

The B side has another 80’s inspired italo disco/proto house heater that has summertime written all over it and a deeper 80s fused house affair with a disco tinged vocal as the centrepiece.

Markus Homm unveils his twelve-track debut LP ‘After Dark’, set for release on German imprint Bondage-Music.

An artist with a rich history within deeper house spheres and minimal territories, Markus Homm has been a fixture of the scene for over twenty years with a long list of appearances at renowned institutions, including Panorama Bar, Watergate, Kater Blau and Tresor.

Whether releasing stand-out solo material via Hive Audio, 8Bit and Cyclic Records or collaborating with fellow countryman Mihai Popoviciu, Homm’s continual evolution and development have seen him become a staple name within sets of the industry’s leading talent. A regular on the imprint with a string of releases dating back to his label debut in 2012 as remixer for Miguel Lobo – Atemporal, the Romanian-born, Nuernberg-based talent returns to Bondage-Music as he presents his first album on the label,

‘After Dark’, a rich collection of eight productions on the vinyl, ‘he album is a carefully crafted project. Starting with the vinyl version’s A1 ‘The System’, Homm delicately introduces the deep and dubby textures he’s so well known for and sets the tone for what is to come.



‘Generator’ builds upon this foundation with a selection of deep, aquatic tones, while B-side productions’ Trespasses’ and ‘Grauzone’ subtly pick up the pace and energy while guiding listeners down equally hazy and captivating trips.

An Apparition introduces the hazy feeling of the EP with a thundering kick, dubbed-out chords, and a mysterious vocal sample topped off with a funky 303 interlude. The A2 track CoupCoup builds the late night suspense with looming strings and chords driven by deep, groove-soaked percussion.

Molecular kicks off the B side with eerie vocal samples and gorgeous, otherworldly synth work, and is held together with a heavy broken beat and a morphing acid line. The final track, It’s You, summarizes the EP’s concept with a mesmerizing exploration through propulsive percussion, deep bass and immersive, evolving chords.

Rotterdam rising star Danou P steps up to Jamie 3:26’s label with a three-track EP of emotive deep house.

The title track ‘Allez Hoop’ is deep, moody and somewhat reminiscent of an electronic ‘Riders On The Storm’. Lush strings, analogue leads, classic Rhodes and a barely containable synth sequence stacked on top of a driving groove.

‘Jazz Dummy’ sees Danou P collaborate with fellow Rotterdam based artist Kems Kriol. It’s a classic sounding track drenched in live percussion and that good old M1 saxophone.

Closing out the EP ‘So Fruit’ is an homage and inside joke gone wrong in a good way. Funky electric piano stabs and rhythmic synths in a sandwich of punchy drums and thick bass. It pays tribute to an absolute classic track and features an epic flute solo by Moises Toscano Fuentes.

Eddie Leader has had his most productive year since releasing his first record under the Slum Science alias in 2004. This record is by far the deepest of them all. ‘Lost in…’ kicks things off and takes you on a deep hypnotic journey along the house spectrum. ‘The Unknown’ has a raw and underground vibe with a heavy bass line and takes inspiration from both Chicago & Detroit. The Tribal Manifestation Mix of ‘The Unknown' picks up the tempo on the B side for a peak time dancefloor rework. Eddie closes out the EP with ‘You’, which is a smooth vocal infused early hours future classic. Hudd Traxx have also had a very productive year and there’s still more to come in 2023.
