Percebes starts 2021 by releasing the label honcho’s brand new “Gestures Of Release” LP: a highly personalised universe that manages to display diversity whilst retaining a unique sense of coherence. An offering of tracks that reflect the producer’s unique take on languages he knows well: deep, crunchy disco house (“Miles Away”), dreamy downtempo (“Suave”) and mellow freestyle funk (“Membrana”). Of course there are also plenty of irresistible bumping dance floor moments of classic inspiration (“Gestures Of Release”, “Clone Forge” and the bass heavy “Time Apart”).
Guests include funk band Thunder & Co, legendary junglist producer AL:X, fellow Percebes founder Hélder Russo and Chicago new school gold medalist Andrew “Change Request” Emil. The quality in production, mixing and mastering is second to none. It’s an LP that plays and sounds as close to a maxi single as physically possible! Perfectly crafted tracks that a DJ can use on both dance floors and cooler settings alike, but also, an album that any music lover can enjoy on a proper turntable. Quoting Vito Corleone, it’s “an offer you can’t refuse”.
The vinyl comes with bonus music in its digital counterpart (includes full length album with four extra tracks as a free download with purchase). Overall, great bang-for-the-buck pack full of future classics, as usual with Percebes so far. “Gestures Of Release” will be out in April 2021.

UFC Records back with their second release with a four tracks Ep produced by label´s co-ower R.I.P. Bestia. The four tracks are original tracks produced between 2020 and 2021 years. Side A of this EP contains two tracks more oriented for the dance floor, like "Chordal Constellations" where the psychedelic electronic of the 90's is fused with the minimal sound of the first 2000's and "VCO Ray”, where vocoder vocals are mixed with deep techno lines.
On the other side the Ep opens with "Khae!”, psychedelic breakbeat-techno accompanied by ethereal vocals, to finish with "VCO HardCore Foundation", a piece of breakbeat influenced by the Nu Skool Breaks that ends in an acid and breaks explosion.

Greetings Sisters and Brothers...
Welcome back to the global entertainment franchise that is Birdscarer.
We return with a product of the sublime magick that is created by the alchemy of circumstance. Boy meets girl in an acid house (in this case Glasgow's Berkeley Suite), a collaboration is planned; and after a slgiht fermentation due to my procrastination and slackness, Scott Fraser and Louise Quinn's "Together More" is now in your trembling digits. Enjoy.
Andrew Weatherall. May 2019

Two versions of the title track come on the A side. The original is an easy track, light percussive with thin strings and saxophone. 'Hushees' on the same side is a remix from the original and has a more straightforward beat and prominent bassline. The flip sees a remix by the Koomba project ( Reggie Dokes and Scott Ferguson). Check it out!

In January 1985 The Beloved emerged via a John Peel session (Produced by a very young Mark Radcliffe). They had a second session broadcast in October and didn't release their first single, A Hundred Words, until early 1986.
On the independent Flim Flam label they released a further 3 singles/eps , later compiled as an album, Where It Is.
By autumn 1987 they had slimmed down from 4-piece to the original founding duo of Jon Marsh & Steve Waddington.
Jon went to NY to pursue some label interest, meet some heroes - Mantronik, Latin Rascals.
& came back with a record box full of early house cuts. Within weeks he was tipped off by a friend about a semi-secret party in a gymnasium in Bermondsey. He went searching and found Shoom.
Having already shared the record box with Steve he took him to the club within a few weeks, knowing full well he would be equally enthused/entranced!
Having just been signed to WEA , notionally as a poster-fodder pop group, the band experienced a seismic shift in direction. Their first attempt , Acid Love, was on promo 12' within months. Their second house track was Your Love Takes Me Higher, first released in early 1989 with great club support but zero radio play.
The third was Sun Rising, late summer that year which became their first hit single.
The album, Happiness, a distillation of the fun & optimism & energy of the 88/89 (acid) house scene was released in 1990 to great acclaim and YLTMH even got a second release and just scraped into the top 40 at #39!
A remix album, Blissed Out, was released In autumn 1990, with a new recording It's Alright Now as a single.
Awoke is the most complete track from their last collaborative sessions.
Jon continued recording as The Beloved with his wife Helena as co-writer/co-producer.
Their first release in early 1993 was the single Sweet Harmony which was a major hit record worldwide.
Both single and the accompanying album Conscience were their biggest selling releases.
A further album X, with the single Satellite arrived in 1996.
A re-released Sun Rising and a best-of, Single File in 1997.
Then silence.
Remixes as The Beloved, several releases under different names (on Junior Boys Own, & NRK), and a full time dj career until 2005/6.
Still silence.
'I can't split up with myself so i think of it as hibernation' says Jon.
Until now. Music that is both old & new.

Mathias Modica's "Sonic Rohstoff" is the new album on Berlin-based label Kryptox Music, Toy Tonics' and Gomma Records' sub label for new forms of Jazz & Electronica. Over the past two decades, Mathias he has made a name for himself by discovering and breaking new talent and styles of music. He produced albums with James Murphy and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, Asia Argento, The Rammellzee and WhoMadeWho just to name a few. The album is a journey through abstract downtempo vibes, lofi jazz and futuristic electronica. This is Modica's first album under his own name, following three albums under his monikers Kapote and Munk. All instruments are performed by Modica himself, embellished by guest musicians from the new Berlin Jazz scene. Most people might know Modica from his earlier works as a producer, keyboard player and founder/ creative mind behind Toy Tonics, Gomma and Kryptox.

Reptant's debut release on Die Orakel is an n-dimensional array of five seriously electro flavoured composites on vinyl (and digital, that is). The Melbourne based producer starts off quirky, fast-paced and slightly acidic, skillfully swerving into the laid-back leftfield of mid-to-late 90s UK IDM. At either tempi, The New Adaptive Lacerta is a truly sublime and modern classic EP.

Live At Robert Johnson welcomes Amsterdam-based DJ and Producer Alain van der Born aka Perdu to the Club, who already made his marks with Releases on DGTL Records, Heist, and Let’s Play House amongst others. His contribution is a Four Track EP called Soaring Flights, including a Digital only Bonus Track. On this EP, Perdu champions a full-on 1980s sound, which hits more than one Chord in Live At Robert Johnson’s very own set of Styles.
Dystopia (co-produced by Tjade) is a High Energy Track, in which a raw and stoic Bass Riff slowly working its way into a Break. It’s the first Break in which the Atmosphere heats up significantly and subsequently sustains for the remainder of this quite enjoyable, and not quite dystopian rush on the Dance Floor. Retrograde immediately kicks off with a South American infused Rhythm Loop, joined by a deep and analogue Bass Serpentine, with bubbly Acid sprinkled along the way. Rise Of F5 brings back those 1980s signature pumping Kick and gated reverb Snare Drums, employing melodic and slightly haunting elements, which eventually dissolve in Euphoria and a Melody to hum along with (or shout, if you prefer). Somehow It’s Different Now concludes in a slightly different and quite mellow vein, that lets you leave this EP on the easy side. Available Digital Only is the Bells Mix Version of Perdu and Tjade’s Dystopia, for those inclined to a more melodramatic Dystopia with added playfulness thanks to—you guessed it—Bells (no whistles, we promise) …

'Tristes Tropiques' – named after & dealing with Claude Lévi-Strauss' landmark ethnographic writing of the same name – is an album of "synthetic exotica & pseudo-ethnographic music". Sounding like the field recording from an imaginary landscape, Tristes Tropiques deals with the meaning of Exotica & ethnographic recordings (without using them) as well as with cultural categories like "Otherness". As smart as it is, it's also totally stunning, free-floating music, RIYL Dolphins Into The Future or Jan Jelinek.

Begun in 2006 and halted in 2007, the series achieved very promising results, encouraging fun on the dance floor all over the world. In view of recent events, we felt it was urgent to conNnue our efforts in that direcNon. The Italian Duo Club Paradiso coming from diverse and ever-evolving music backgrounds, they started their collaborative project in 2016. Romagna, Adriatic Riviera, is what they call home and also the primal inspiration behind Club Paradiso. Their first album “Esotica Erotica Psicotica” is out on april 26th on Mondo Groove with Kompakt distribution, follow up to the acclaimed 2017 single Panoramica, and is a wonderful patchwork of colours. Opener Romagna Tropicale transports Riviera to a tropical island, Tuco mixes arpeggiating lines with a western harmonica and a distant spoken, Solo tu with the voice of Francesca Amati is a sensual, slo-mo synth-pop beauty, and Echoes a throbbing deep house number. The B-side opens with Flauto Cosmico, a killer Afro/Cosmic track with a folky flute, Okinawa has the voice of Niconote aka the legendary Nicoletta Magalotti of Violet Eves fame and it’s simply a memorable song with an eastern vibe in the music, La Rabbia Saudita, with a special Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi featuring, is half part Arabic and half part funky, and the closing track, Mirage, is, yes, like a mirage. You can’t miss this.

Up next on Phonica White is Brooklyn based artist Justin Cudmore. He is a well-known DJ thanks to his memorable sessions at The Bunker among other New York and many of the best clubs worldwide as well as teaming up with Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam as Hot Mix DJ collective.
As well as DJing, Justin has always been a fan and creator of dance music, he started being part of Chicago's underground scene, deepening his appreciation for the classic House and Acid that you can still feel in these new tracks. This new release follows in the wake of 'Forget it', his last celebrated EP released by The Bunker though in our minds his sound has progressed yet again, sounding fuller, faster and rounder. 'Twisted Love' gets straight to the point, with firm and strong percussion joined to a fickle acid bass line. In addition to this, Justin weaves in some House-flavoured vocals to keep you hooked until the end of the track. A certified floor-filler of a track. On the flip is 'About to Burst', a track that starts with a powerful kick drum and grows with new emerging elements; punchy hi-hats coming and going in key moments and a simple keyboard arpeggio that added to an Acid bass line catches you instantly. Justin's new EP is unapologetically aimed at the dancefloor. Its primary influence may be Detroit-flavoured Techno yet you'll also find Chicago House and Acid elements floating over its powerful backbone, all combining in devastating way, primed for club use.
Artwork as always is supplied by the talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Unnamed 3 is the 2nd release on Darius Syrossian's Moxy Muzik label. Following on from 'Dance of the Shaman' this original by Darius Syrossian is a Disco flavoured tough house number with deep sub bass driving the track forward & crisp disco stabs littering the track in all the right places.
For those that were feeling the vinyl only 'Funkflex' track by Darius Syrossian which sold out in 9 days, you will 100% feel this one also. The name Unnamed 3 was given to this track by Darius because when Eats Everything asked if Darius had any new tracks to send over Darius had literally finished three new tracks in the studio & they were all still untitled, and the files were sent over as unnamed 1, 2 & 3.
Eats Everything then played this one on his BBC RADIO 1 show & announced it as Unnamed 3 & the title has stuck since, with lots of people asking about the release date after hearing it on Eats Everything's show.
The remixes on this e.p come from Christian Burkhardt & Tommy Vicari Jnr. Christians Burkhardt's remix is on a more minimal vibe with slick drums & pounding kick drum that give the track a peak time set feel, but this remix retains the disco flavours enough to add some spice to the remix.
Tommy Vicari Jnr's remix is a lush deep house affair with layered pads and hypnotic chords which give the track a dreamy feel, this is one of those trademark Tommy Vicari Jnr productions that oozes class, and its one for those that like real House true music.

We come back with a fresh single “Nowhere In Milano” by Dumming Dum featuring Rush Midnight. The 21st release in the label catalogue brings the original composition together with three remixes from Alex Schaufel, Rafael Cerato and Justin Cholewski.
Dumming Dum together with Rush Midnight has become the members of the Runemark family with their debut “Three Pills Into A Fist”.
This time the tasty original “Nowhere In Milano” created by Dumming Dum and Rush Midnight maintains deep and cozy characteristics yet also keeps it groovy and tight for the dance floors.
Amazing and full of energy remix from Alex Shaufel delivers the great feeling of togetherness blurring the boundaries between Nu Disco and energetic House music.
Rafael Cerato’s remix grabs it from the start. Uplifting, powerful and charismatic. Acidic and aggressive bass line, confident beats and massive synths pushes the levels of House and Techno.
The last but not least remix in the package comes from Justin Cholewski. Raw, unstoppable with a taste of trippiness is the signature of Justin. Technological and machinery resound overlayed with creamy vocals from Rush Midnight fulfills the whole release.
“Nowhere In Milano” is available in both physical vinyl and digital formats. Enjoy the music!
Runemark team.

We often find there are two types of artists. One internalises their process, endlessly perfecting their work while finding the endpoint a massive hurdle, and in turn producing immaculate yet very little art. The other is continuously inspired, so full of ideas they can barely work fast enough to articulate them all.
The art becomes by-product of their larger trajectory and not just a collection of endpoints. Lord Of The Isles a.k.a. Neil McDonald seems to be both. He’s always in an evolving state of process where work is constantly shed to make way for a new layer growing beneath, yet he holds his cards closely, cherrypicking when and with whom he releases that work into the world.
Neil is simply prolific. In 2016 he shared with us a vast catalog of unheard beauty, which over a long span of time was collaboratively shaped into his debut album In Waves. In the span between the album release and now, Neil has performed on a number of ESP Institute label showcases from Los Angeles to Amsterdam to Berlin, and released a few efforts with our peers, but all throughout he’s been holed up working on his sophomore album sigh.
Though patience has become a sort of meditation during this global upsidedown, we couldn’t help but squeeze out an interim release to uphold the fantasy. So, four years after the release of In Waves, we’re proud to present a very long-winded follow-up single for the album’s monster track Skylark.
Accompanied by a previously unreleased album cut entitled OmniMulti, the single also touts two glorious remixes; a sunkissed version by fellow esteemed Scotsman Linkwood and an atmospheric dismantling by Melbourne hopeful Tourist Kid. You see, good things come to those who wait.

On the Corner have taken a deep dive into the murky waters whereancient percussion are jolted through history with a high voltageshock of experimental electronics. Across the territory of 'When theWaters Refused Our History', Sunken Cages channels his ownjourney and that of the world of his ancestors and adroitly breachesthe porous frontiers being pushed by the cosmic adventures-led OntheCorner. Sunken Cages is the moniker for Ravish Momin, an Indian-borndrummer, electronic music producer and educator. For the pastdecade, Momin has been experimenting with enhancing his acousticdrum sounds with electronic ones, and has crafted a unique electro-acoustic approach. He triggers sounds and textures, layers live-loops and manipulates them 'on the fly', to blur the lines betweencomposition and improvisation. While rooted in Indian folk and BlackMusic traditions, Sunken Cages is also influenced by the streetsounds of South African G'com, Angolan Kuduro and Egyptian Mahraganat. He currently leads the electronic music focussed duo 'TurningJewels Into Water' with Haitian percussion virtuoso Val Jeanty.Ravish's unique approach quickly led him to work as a sideman witha diverse cast of musicians ranging from pop-star Shakira tolegendary avant-saxophonist Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre (of theAACM).

V.C.V.S. was founded by Irakli Shonia and Sandro Kozmanishvili in Tbilisi, in 2016. After spending considerable time together in the studio, the debut CD album 'Sections from the Imaginary Future' was released in May 2017 on label 'Hanker", containing more ambient/experimental music. After two intense years, Irakli and Sandro found new inspirations and ideas, which led them to return to the studio and record the EP called HUM in August 2018. DJ Sotofett made a variation of Trapped in the Corner together with Kalifornia Keke.

Malin Genie welcomes an extensive EP treat from Lava Lap, an emergent producer with an affinity for the kind of braindance that will have fans of Jodey Kendrick beating their drum machines with approval. The acid is slippery, the structures ever-shifting and a wealth of expression spills out of every bar. There are faster drum & bass paced bits, melancholy detuned electro and much more besides. Far from just being clever music though, it's also amazingly emotional and so impeccably produced. Any electronica head should be all over this.

In autumn 2019 Stefan Lessner aka Less fulfilled his dream to release his own ambient album. With “Stranger” he created an imaginary soundtrack, influenced by film and music of the classic movie Blade Runner, as well as the nights and observations of his new home
town Berlin. With proudness, one can say that this opus is a real highlight of music for horizontal life situations, which can easily take a place in the Vaporwave corner.
Now the first four remixes are available, which carry the vibe of the album into the club.
From the horizontal position and the head it moves on to the vertical and legs. For this, master Less was able to win over four equally skilled electronic sound processing experts, if all of their names would have been on a flyer, it would be for a must-go event to one
of the hippest clubs: Perm, Portable, Freund der Familie and The Exaltics. Together they all form a package that can be used several times in one night.
The remix of Zum Greifen fern is made by The Exaltics. Far away from any compromises it stops directly at the Electro station, in its classic form. Especially the dreamlike transformation of the original is a perfect fusion of melody and rhythm: you can easly get
the feeling that the voice of Human Leagues Phil Oakey is coming soon, but no, it’s not needed. The tones carry the track all by themselves, perfect to bring a clubset to the end.
Stefan outed himself to Alan Abrahams, aka Portable, personally as a fan. Portable likes to give back when it comes to emotions. He made the remix of Blütenstaub and it immediately
catches your attention. It gets intimate, sticks to your mind like honey and you end up closing your eyes in the middle of the dancefloor. In a better world, his productions would be on the radio.

10Questions is a record label by Dam Swindle's Lars Dales and graphic designer Bas Koopmans. The first release promises a lot for the coming series with signing the first EP with Demi Requisimo. Demi is one of the rising stars in dance music due to his energetic tracks and signature style, combining italo and electro with chopped up disco samples from around the globe.
The EP starts of with it's namesake track. 'Dictionary of fools' is a great example of Demi's knack for creating dancefloor bombs. The razor sharp bassline cuts through the track like a knife through butter but it's the female vocal that covers the track like a warm blanket. This track will get anyone's blood pumping and makes you wish you heard it first on a sunny festival.
'Noisey Cricket' ventures more into the 80's proto-house territory with it's distinctive drum programming and italo style bassline. The pads and vocal chops elevate the track to another level and underscore Demi's nose for finding just the right balance between electronic sounds and samples.
The final track of the EP, 'Atomic' is one of those tracks that sneak up on you. Demi takes a ballsy approach and let's you wait a full 3 minutes before the bassline comes in but lord it has never sounded sweeter. This is a party starter if you ever heard one and a beautiful example of how well Demi understands crafting a deceptively simple track with maximum impact. A master of his craft.
10Questions is a label build on the concept that the record and record sleeve are an integral part of the full experience of an EP. The artist is given a questionnaire and depending on his/her answers the artwork is made. This way the music and art co-exist in the same creative universe, that of the artist and the label alike.

Credit 00 delivers his debut album "Game Over". After four EPs for Uncanny Valley the Leipzig based musician is now ready to let loose his electronic visions on full length. As everybody can confirm who saw him playing live or DJing, the head behind Uncanny Valley's sub label Rat Life is a slave to the rhythm on a full-time basis. Obsessed with sound, he can't stop pushing the buttons of his synthesizers and drum machines like someone torturing the controls of an Arcade machine. "Game Over" is an electronic love letter to the romantic fantasy worlds of classic video games and their bleepy and clonky sounds which used to be common also in repetitive electronic dance music. Collecting tracks from the last six years, "Game Over" is also a passion project that channels all his influences. You can get a glimpse of the ingredients that make up his record collection. Whether it is Hip Hop,Techno, Electro Boogie, New Beat, Italo, Jungle, Reggae, House or Chill Out. Though, all those different sounds and styles do not tear this album apart. It's a bit of a miracle that it feels so flawless for what happens between the appetizing "Level One" and the final track "The Last March". Those beats on "Game Over" can be brutally effective like the fatalities in Mortal Kombat while the overlying sounds can be smooth like the lemmings' animations in the eponymous Amiga game. Just listen to the title track. Or the instant hip shaker "Breakers Revenge" that comes with a little help from friends like Sara Stammburg on vocals and Max Rademann on Rhodes. Without losing sight on the dance floor Credit 00 creates an electronic wonderland that delights dancers and connoisseurs at the same time. To top things off the wonderful artwork was created by Alexander Dorn a.k.a. Credit 00 himself. The double 12" comes with an arcade video game inspired sticker designed by Credit 00 himself.
