After a couple of well received remixes, here comes the first full grown ep by Benjamin Fröhlich, who is also known for being one half of the Permanent Vacation enterprise. The range spans from synth-driven electro to hypnotic beat tools, industrial acid jams and 90s UK-influenced - melodic breakbeat. Four tracks that are universally applicable in the world of dance music.

Continuing with a series that focusses on brilliant remixes of I-Robots originals, Opilec Music now bring together two more Italian legends of the scene in Alexander Robotnick and Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi.

They both turn out reworks of Kind of Intrigue from 2009 as part of an ongoing project that is all based around the impact of Isaac Asimov's Laws of Robotics and features art by Tamami Saito. Santiago Salazar and Mr. Raoul K, Los Hermanos and Gary Martin and more are all part of this ongoing concept which again comes up with the goods here. Alexander Robotnick is a living electronic music legend from Italy who pioneered an Italo disco sound in the 80s and is still going strong.

From scoring films to remixing big name stars via turning out essential electro tracks, he is a top talent who proves that once more here. His excellent version of the original is built on firm kicks and has big colourful chords, wavy bass and twinkling melodies all making for a serene, spaced out groove. Muttered vocals and sci-fi signifiers all make it a hot and steamy affair perfect for summer sessions.

Daniele Baldelli is a cult star from the Italo world and here he teams up with Marco Dionigi to make for a dream production pairing. Dionigi is boss of Quantistic Division and has turned out many seminal albums and EPs since the mid 90s. He was there at the birth of digital technology, has created new genres such as Slow Motion and knows how to cook up a hypnotic melody, as evidenced here.

Their take on Kind Of Intrigue is more subtle and stripped back. It has widescreen synths stretching in all directions, wet and gurgling disco arps and spoken word monologues musing on robots. It is perfectly trippy and analogue and is stuffed with classic Italo vibes of the sort that will make it a big hit with boat parties crew and Balearic lovers everywhere this summer.

This package is another in a long line of classic but modern disco releases that prove Opilec Music does things properly each and every time.

Two Parisians, Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris, exiled in London for the better part of the last ten year set out to re-define space. It's a fine line was born from non-restraint, cultivating its own vision of house music and disco, a paradoxical one, a non-functional one.

Their first LP (thought, rebuilt, announced, delayed) reveals itself as a collection of tests, of explorations in the shadows and corners of club culture. These are murky roads where counterfeit goes for gold standard, perfect territory to lose oneself in order to find ones way. Leaving behind the smooth highways of club music, they rode more chaotic trails, with dubious reputation or names: white funk, trance groove, electronic psychedelia, greasy, rock'n'roll... A risky path, ambivalent, proud of accidents, crashes and bad taste, but the only real way to discover virgin grounds on well-trodden terrain. They are writing their own (hi)story.

For this album, Tim and Ivan recruited three double agents, the flame of Alex Kapranos, singer of Franz Ferdinand, the mysterious voice of Olivia de Lanzac from cult band Quad Throw Salchow and the pitched down, spectre of label companion C.A.R. Three tweaked but prominent voices, joining in an album that confounds through the coherence of its eclecticism and the rigorous mirage of its style.

Renowned artistGareth McConnell adds his indispensable touch to the artwork and video, encompassing the exact image of this record: hypnotic and kaleidoscopic, a celestial trip recorded on an used VHS tape.

Fresh on the back of the release of his third album 'GOOD LUCK AND DO YOUR BEST' this summer, GOLD PANDA signs off an acclaimed 2016 with a very limited 12 of three remixes of music taken from his latest record. Having previously re-worked the Panda track 'Community', Berlin-resident Fort Romeau once again takes the reigns with a gorgeous, nine-minute pulsing, electro-heavy recreation of the track 'Time Eater' complete with ghostly synth motifs that twirl around Japanese instrumentation culminating in a frenetic release. US producer John Roberts, who himself released one of the best deep house records of the year, remixes 'Chiba Nights', transforming it into a thumping, acid-tinged affair that mixes space and warped electronics beautifully. Finally, the contemplative 'Song For A Dead Friend' is taken on by Japanese musician Daisuke Tanabe, whose wide ranging musical influences of electronica, folk and jazz all come to bear on this track. Radically different to the two that run prior to it on the 12, it's more akin to the likes of Boards of Canada and Plaid, as it slowly ebbs to a wistful conclusion over three different musical phases.

Dubsided continue to release bass heavy electro house, and we welcome the follow up EP to Sticky K's previous Dubsided release. 'California EP' is a wonky 4 tracker stacked with all the right elements and surprising hooks.

This 3x12" set is the first EOD vinyl release since 2013's Volume 1&2 EPs. A compilation drawing from the EODS series that was released digitally between 2015-16, these tracks were all recorded straight to cassette, aiming to capture the soul of the moment. With an overall length of 140cm, the marabou is one of the largest storks. The marabou's head and neck have only a few downy feathers. The feathers on its back,
wings, and tail are dark grey with a shimmering green gloss, and its underside is a radiant white. Its red and entirely unresearched throat pouch is a distinctive
feature. Ä Ä Ä (3tone.triangle) and singer Madlaina Balmer fly to Africa together on the marabou and caress this wonderful summer with warm synthesiser clouds,
airy field recordings and pleasant, raw percussion.

Danish producer Uffe Christensen returns to Tartelet Records with his second LP 'No!', a deeply personal LP to follow 2015's unanimously unfuckwithable debut 'Radio Days'. Every bit as abundant as his first, it's a record that scales polyrhythmic percussion, improvised jazz, & billowing ballads. This, that and so much more, it's a triumph of one man's instinctive ear -- and should be consumed in one sitting.
A year after his dynamic debut 'Radio Days', Uffe resurfaces on Tartelet with a record cut in the same spirit as the last: a borderless approach to music-making with organic instrumentation at its heart. Genres collide peaceably --off-beat soul with jazz, hip-hop with the heft of house-- and are melded smooth with an earthy warmth. Like nearly all at camp Tartelet, he's a producer who is more interested in cutting loose than playing to the tune of dominant modes in dance music. In that, his album's title is instructive: a 'no' to the tyranny of trends; to slavish Facebook likes; to creative compromise. Beyond the babble of fleeting fads, Uffe enjoys his place on the perimeter -- an outlier searching critically for something closer to a timeless groove. Uffe has all of the intuition of the self-taught instrumentalist, following his ear into unexpected rhythmic and tonal combinations. It's what gives the album its urgent appeal: the sound of tentative experiments being made live; of sequences mprovised amongst friends. Far from a churn of simple floor fodder, the album is a journey through a consummate narrative. Shy guitar interlude 'Fridge Magnet Radio Theme' feels its way out of the warbling jazz breakdown in 'Lesser Known Values'. 'The Fact', an unexpected vocal ballad, follows the broken beat of 'Solo, So Loud'. With the record's pleading closer 'From Me', it's a story with a start, middle, and end. A long player as long players should be.
As Tartelet continue their run of consistently solid EPs & 12"s, it's still these album moments that remain the best gateways into the label's distinctive sound. Alongside Max Graef's debut 'Rivers of the Red Planet' and Glenn Astro's 'Throwback', Uffe's 'No' is a mirror to the Tartelet spirit and sits amongst the imprint's best. Music For Dreams continue their high profile string of releases with this double album of dark pop brilliance from Danish newcomers Silent Riders. Apart from their names - Lu, Gee and C - little is known about this mysterious trio who wear masks during live performances. Emerging from some unknown murky world, materialising from the shadows in the woods, they have created a mythical sphere accessible only through their music - a vision of electronica that is organic and alive with both warmth and danger. Led by the sultry voice of Lu, we are drawn into the dark imaginings of the Silent Riders with almost cinematic brilliance as Gee and C man the machines that weave the atmospheric dronings of their world - a world that could be easily mistaken for one created by David Lynch or Tim Burton. The rhythms that form the path to this domain remind us along the way of previous travellers such as Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire or Tolouse Lowtrax. With the opening track "I See You", Silent Riders offer up a brilliant pop diamond combining all elements of their distinctive sound palette. In 2011 Dave Monolith released his first CD album "Welcome" on Rephlex. Here is finally his first album in vinyl which brings together the EP released on his Bandcamp (in digital format only) with unreleased tracks between braindance and acid. Everybody can find his groove thanks to the quality and the completion of his work!

Absolute Body Control was formed by Dirk Ivens in 1980 and joined by Eric Van Wonterghem just after releasing their first single 'Is There An Exit'. Achieving an underground cult following, the band took their influence from bands such as Suicide, D.A.F, and the UK electronic scene. After a few years, the band members all went their separate ways finding success in other influential acts such as The Klinik, Dive, Sonar, Monolith and Insekt.

In 2007 Absolute Body Control re-formed and released Wind(Re)Wind on a very limited picture disc LP and later on CD including updated & re-recorded versions of their best tracks. Modern sound recording techniques blend seamlessly with the classic roots of low-fi electro.

Now, almost a decade after the first pressing, "Wind(Re)Wind" is relunched including all the 13 tracks from the CD plus two new versions ('Waving Hands' and 'The Man I Wanna Be') and a live recording from WGT 2007 (previously available only on a limited CD)

All tracks have been remastered by Eric Van Wontergehn at Prodam Studios (Berlin).

Auf dem 1980 veröffentlichten Album "Atmosphere" erleben wir den Elektronikmusiker Adelbert von Deyen in
Höchstform. Beim ersten Stück, "Timemachine", treibt ihn die Schlagzeug-Begleitung von Wolfgang "Zabba"
Lindner zu schwungvollem Elektro-Krautrock. Lindner war Anfang der 1970er bereits in der Progrock-Band
Tomorrow's Gift in Erscheinung getreten und hatte 1974 zusammen mit Carsten Bohn ein experimentelles
Percussion-Album ("Vollbedienung Of Percussion") eingespielt. Auch auf dem zweiten Stück "Silverrain" ist er
zu hören, wenn auch nicht so schwungvoll. Weitere acht Titel sind dem Titelthema "Atmosphere" zugeordnet.
Hier laden langsam gleitende Synth-Flächen mit minutenlang gehaltenen Dronesounds, Schwebungen und
Synth-FX zur Kontemplation ein. Der zeitliche und finanzielle Produktionsaufwand für dieses Album war
enorm. Unermüdlich komponierte von Deyen im Heimstudio, experimentierte mit seinen Synthesizern und
suchte neue Klänge. Für den Feinschliff sorgte Lars Hidde, der im Star-Studio Hamburg eine neue
Abmischung und das Mastering übernahm. "Atmosphere" markiert das Ende von Deyens Ambient-Phase: Mit
Softrock-Balladen und sozialkritischen Texten auf dem folgenden vierten Album "Eclipse" hatte wohl kaum
jemand gerechnet.

Honoring the roots and wires of Detroits' 909 and 303 sounds, Flavio Folco blends elements of hip-hop, electro, breakbeat techno, futuristic soul and funk music committed to the edge of post-acid house styles. An audio injection into the body-mind as we wave through the polyrhythmic ensemble of molecular beats and crisscrossed percussive patterns. On remix duty Deadbeat who needs no introduction, and Indigo Raw 's Mirus.

Two years after the release of his acclaimed debut EP on I'm a Cliché, Jakarta's best kept secret is back on Cosmo Vitelli's imprint with four terrific original tracks. Jonathan Kusuma is a producer who has managed in the space of a few releases and remixes to develop a signature sound which mostly relies on taking disco and EBM elements and putting them in new and unexpected contexts, offering us a glimpse of what modern dance music would sound like if house and techno had never existed. Narcotic, hedonistic, abstract and particularly efficient on the dancefloor, Kusuma's music is always about quality and never about quantity and so we are particularly thrilled to share with the world the four new tracks that constitute this EP.
A1 AUTOMATONE
The EP opens with this streamlined yet highly efficient tune of a robotic persuasion. Kusuma uses thick sub bass, a round edged groove, metallic percussion, dramatic sweeps and synthetic spurts to create a track that sounds like a sleek machine with a highly polished take on the Power Electronics sound tailored for the dancefloor.
A2 MORDOR DISKO
It is one of Kusuma's strong suits to produce tracks with a disco kit that go beyond the usual confines of the genre. Here's a fine example of this. With latin percussion, arpeggios and several layers of melody, the robotic feel is still present but less so than on the previous track. Theres an element of darkness, as hinted by the track title, if they had discos in Tolkien's universe, DJs would probably spin this.
B1 POLICE & SNITCH
Somewhere between EBM and disco, this is a tune driven by a hypnotic yet utterly groovy analog bassline along with warm percussion sounds, catchy melody and mind-boggling effects. This tune sounds like the soundtrack to a chase scene in the backstreets of Jakarta and it is guaranteed to induce movement on the dancefloor.
B2 SHOOTING DRUMS
Closing the EP is this dramatic rhythm track that goes way beyond your usual DJ tool. Hand percussion is given a subtle beat repeat treatment, noisy bleeps, eerie vocal samples and arresting pads are used to great effect. It's another example of Kusuma's signature sound, tribal and psychedelic but refined and never out of touch

Alex Warren, AKA Kiwi, debuts on Futureboogie for the label's closing release of the year. With previous releases on labels like Optimo Music, Blasé Boys Club and Sneaky Music, the versatile producer serves up four tracks of deep and driving underground goodies. The London based producer/DJ has genre hopped with ease over the last few years, building up an impressive arsenal of productions and remixes. He has been called upon to reshape for artists like The Klaxons, Duke Dumont and Bonar Bradberry, and his music has been warmly received and supported by Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery, Erol Alkan and many more. On his Futureboogie release, Kiwi blends energetic Italo styles on lead track 'Orca', whilst 'Minke' fuses gnarly technoid house with deft melodies and soft touches. The spatial synths of 'Logman's Break' create a highly infectious earworm of a track and the brass melodies freestyle over a sturdy production, whilst the closing 'Pygmy' gets spaced out with tweaking acid bass and moon stomping beats.

Shipwrec are opening a new style chapter with Coco Bryce. Dub, jungle, skwee and breakbeat come together to form the signature sound of the Myor label boss. From laid back Caribbean rhythms to sweat dripping bedlam, Coco Bryce comes with melting pot bubbling over with influences and styles. Mesak and FFF have been drafted in on remix duties, each adding their own flavour to this heady brew. A 12" brimming with exotic spices and sounds from an artist who dares with his musical ingredients.
