House Vinyl New Releases - News

mit "Good Life", Whirlpool Productions mit "From: Disco To: Disco", St. Germain mit "Alabama Blues", Octave
One feat. Ann Saunderson mit "Blackwater" und Barbara Tucker mit "Beautiful People". Heiß.

Recorded Live in Slovenia on March 30th 2013 this double CD release captures John laying down an intense peak time set spread over 2 cd`s, Featuring 27 tracks of techno and tech house including the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Booka Shade, Boys Noize, Josh Wink, Len Faki, Deetron and Pig&Dan to name a few.

Sébastien Tellier's new album My God Is Blue has won some notable proselytes, each bringing their personalities to the ever-expanding L'Alliance Bleue (The Blue Alliance) with their remixes of the hypnotic-disco bliss that is the single Cochon Ville. In Sébastien's mind Cochon Ville is a bastion within L'Alliance Bleue compound he plans to build where the animal inside man can 'express itself freely', and if his musical representation as well as those of his new inductees are any indication, its the place to be.

Hudson Mohawke, Kaytranada, Nightmares On Wax und Jamie xx. Cool!

Summer 2015, illustrious festivals everywhere, gigantomania and superlatives without frontiers. Who's looking for the small, fine and familiar alternative to the existing festival formats will find what they are looking for at the 'day at the sea'. Once a year the picturesque backdrop at the beach on the island of Rügen get filled with life.

At our festival in Prora a lot of hand-picked live-artists and DJ's create a musical universe from Reggae over Downtempo up to House and Techno. With the first 'day at the sea' EP our acts BONDI, Verschnibbt & Zugenäht, Masterton with his remix for Moby and Tagträumer² bring a bit of that special beach feeling onto the 'black gold'. Exclusive songs let you imagine the scent of salty air and make the anticipation of a refreshing jump in the Baltic Sea come alive.

Pinkman boss Marsman lines up the next 12' on his Charlois imprint and in doing so welcomes back good friend and label inaugurator Dollkraut.

Having steadily released a collection of extolled records, the idiosyncratic Dutchman remains in search of ancient mysteries and follows up The Gym LP 'Schimanski's Black Lullabies' for with another varied cut - this one brimming with grubby percussion, vocoder tones and faint yet compelling homages to the traditional music of Mexico and Spain.

'Mastermaster' kicks things off and drives a shifting sequence through a lo-fi break, plodding piano notes and a clipped, lively vocal hook before 'Bruce Wayne' melds spring reverb and squelching flangers to treat guitar riffs and more 80's drums. Eerily wobbling synths shimmer over head before 'Hornet Green' drives a sprung kick under tense, soundtrack synth tones and a sandy shuffle as a cinematic pursuit is rendered.

'Valium' then sets sultry vocals floating through more hazy drum breaks and softly shifting chords. Rhythmic variation and more vintage effects wade in and round off off a refreshing package of rich and intriguing gems and another fine addition to the Charlois series.

Legendary Finnish electro pioneers Mr Velcro Fastener return after a very long absence with this long-awaited and much-anticipated EP on Cyber Dance Records. Full of the same funked-out, quirky and fresh futuristic sounds that brought them instant recognition in the 90s electro underground the 'TKU' EP sounds like the innovative duo never went away, effortlessly picking up where they left off. 'Brinkkala' opens proceedings with their classic signature brand of Detroit-meets-Finland robotic funk jamming, while the next track 'Bridge Over Nothing' delivers harder and punchier rhythms deftly topped with layers of spaced-out chords and shimmering noises - and a relentless bassline that builds and progresses the grooves to alien dimensions of sheer electro brilliance. The sonic assault continues on Side B with 'Ologrammed', a pulsating monster of a track that pushes the Velcro Fastener sound into ethereal realms that evoke the likes of Technasia or The Hacker in their mid-90s heyday. The EP closes with 'Johnny's Wood', a funked-up, jazzed-out and upbeat adventure over-brimming with robotic positivity and electronic optimism. Copies are limited of this essential purchase for die-hard electro connoisseurs everywhere, so don't be slow as they're sure to go!

Robert Crash is an alias of Italian DJ and producer Fransesco Schito and now he makes a debut outing on Creme Organization with a tidy four track EP. In the past he has turned up on Dog In The Night Records, and with these cuts lays out his singular take on outlier house and techno. Up first is 'Gigolo', a spare and weird house cut with sine waves and random claps, hunched drums and trippy synth lines. It's a unique track made in a unique way and will lead to plenty of freaky dance floor moments, for sure. 'Co. Art' is a whacked out techno cut with slap-funk claps, blistering and blistered synth lines and a rugged bit of bass underlining it all. The track is cavernous and metallic, empty and distant as if it somehow survived a nuclear blast. On the flip, 'Alzheimer' is a slow and gurgling, swampy techno number with broken drums and crawling synths that sound like their batteries have run down. Icy, watery melodies eventually rain down, but the track remains resolutely eerie. Last of all, 'Fabric' is another decaying track with subtle, heavily filtered synths and drums all making for a minimal groove that is barely there. This is heavily deconstructed music that sounds like little else out there and may well be the start of a very fast rise through the ranks for Robert Crash.

Following the success of the digital release of Sleazy McQueen's You Know How EP, upstart label, CVMR were compelled to press the remixes to vinyl.

The proceedings open in superb style thanks to The Revenge's Live Dub. A bass heavy tool with equal parts classic house and disco, with a touch of Arthur Baker-style drums. On A2, Sleazy McQueen's Space Coast take things to the basement with the help of Romano Arcaini (Latenight Society), warm rhodes, live bass and an absolute drum-break-freakout add a decidedly different dub flavor to the package.
B/W Compost Black's main man Kasper Bjorke offers his acid tinged interpretation, driven by a gritty saw-wave bass hook, rolling snare hits, wanderings arps and crunchy drums, a simply stunning piece of music as expected from the undeniably talented
Copenhagen born producer. Closing out the remix EP, CVMR in-house producer, Century strips back the vibe to a dropped tempo, emotive workout fuelled be heavily reverberated piano chords, echoing vocal lines and a general chuggy, low-slung vibe throughout.

Fantastic release by CN, also known as EOD (check out his release on 03030 records!). Retro futuristic electro tracks in the spirit of the Detroit originals by this talented producer named Stian Gjevik from Norway. Recommended!

Moustache Italo Anthem. Well known in the clubscene, a classic italo track from this underground dark wave italo band The Problems from Holland. Track played by DJ David Vunk on numberous parties for more than 6 years already ... So it took some time but here it is... Including a techno remix made by David Vunk! with pumping basskick and super sharp clubby tr-909 hats. Limited suplies on this so dont sleep...

STERAC aka Steve Rachmad has reached back to the first album 100% Pure ever released in 1995 - the classic milestone in the history of Detroit Techno 'Secret Life of Machines' and has given it a whole new lease of musical life for release this summer.
17 years ago, in a make shift studio at his parent's house, Steve Rachmad crafted his first album Secret Life of Machines under the moniker STERAC, using his music machines (Roland TR-808, R-8m, U-20, Juno 106, JX 8p, Yamaha TX-81z and FB-01).

When the Golden Filter sent us 6 tracks to choose from for an EP release on Optimo Music, we were struggling to choose just 4 as we loved them all so much, so we decided to take all of them and put two that we felt were perhaps more DJ friendly out on Optimo Trax. "Heavy" (it is!) and "Outimacy" are both tried and tested in the clubs, two wild electronic signals with advanced synthetic sound design and monumental production. Boom!

We turned to Morgan Hammer to take on the other side (both sides are A sides!). After being blown away by hearing her DJ and finding out that most of the tracks we wanted to know the identities of were her own work, we chose two tracks that are mighty in their own right while also complementing the tracks by The Golden Filter. "Arrogant Bastard" gets asked about every time it is played out. A modern update of the Belgian electrobeat* sound (*electrobeat is a much better term than the not so great EBM) with Morgan's wildly deadpan vocals. It's already a hit. The EP is rounded off with her Hammer horror (sorry!) "Killer Nighter". An all-year-round delight but surely destined to be a future Halloween standard.

Goes beyond "Simulations," w/"Dimensions" that has a bassline as catchy as Newcleus & the rest is deep & raw 808s & transparent, sweeping textures; built like minimal-synth yet grooves into electro/Italo orbit

"Life Story Love And Glory" (2015) sind zwei Improvisation an zwei

Arising from the underground of Neukölln in Berlin, this Polish-Danish duo brings pulsating beats and bass lines together with vintage synthesizers and analog drum machines, as well as self-customized and bended low-bit instruments. 77™ takes a conceptually different approach to each release, which usually is visually supported by experimental videos/animations.

Their remix for Millimetric's 'Negative Leaders' EP has been released on Space Factory Records.

Malgorzata Wawro - slide projector, visuals

FLORA QUARTET is a combination of slide projections, field recording and the sound of musicians from the Sejny Theatre Klezmer Orchestra and Sztetl. The point of departure was the observation of forms, shapes, colours and sounds. Improvisation, composition, sound landscapes, humour and fairy tale narrations - FLORA QUARTET is at the intersection of all those elements.

After last year's releases on Spectrum Spools, Italian techno masterminds Donato Dozzy and Neel are returning as the duo Voices From The Lake with a release on the mother label Editions Mego: Live @ MAXXI is a marvellous organic live-set of hypnotic ambient techno, proofing the outstanding and elegant craftsmanship of their sonic sculpturing, that they both are famous for. As was to be expected they stay true to their polyphonic topography of liquid scapes: aquatic sceneries are embedded in soaking dense atmospheres, gently gyrating us into trance. Sometimes soft echoes of sirenic voices are heard - the only remnants of human traces in these spaces that have suspended time, where smooth silky textures are being channeled into fractal structures that induce a state of transcendence. The haptic quality of their sound is adding up to a sonic matrix of metaphysic imaginary that is provoked by gentle glides and dynamic beat patterns of almost tribalistic quality. Dunked in a bath of dark fluid, sometimes washed away at the shores of Kosmische - VFTL's tunes are not scared to seduce us into a condition of haziness, culminating in a cover of Paolo Conte's ,Max' which is turned into a dazzling sample of sweet, dreamy melancholia. With this release Voices From The Lake succeed again in strengthening their position as one of todays most refined ambient techno producers.

The prodigal DUKE returns to Turbo triumphant after two UK #1 singles in Need U (100%) and I Got U.

Getting a number one single is an extraordinary achievement. Getting two is a whole other level. Even KLF, who literally wrote the book on how to write a #1 hit (The Manual) only managed to do it once. Duke Dumont's talent was first recognized in 2007 when Tiga signed his Regality EP, and further developed through the mentorship of Switch, but for years he seemed destined to stay under-the-radar, another brilliant artist toiling in relative obscurity, his fantastic remixes working wonders on dance-floors while his name was a footnote to the success of bigger names.

All that started to change in 2012 with For Club Play Only vol I & II on Turbo, with 'Street Walker' getting a swell of underground support and 'The Giver' following up as one of the crossover club hits of the year. His follow-up launch of the Blasé Boys Club label with the #1 hit 'Need U (100%)' propelled him to instant stardom, and incredibly he managed to follow-up in rapid fire with interim single 'Hold On' and then a second #1 in 'I Got U ft. Jax Jones'. It's an astonishing success story primed to continue with the forthcoming 'Won't Look Back.'

So it comes as a welcome surprise to also get this third instalment of For Club Play Only, a return to stripped-down party bombs, with just enough hook to make the tracks unforgettable. 'Slow Dance' is a guaranteed floor-filler built from a killer bassline, sexy vocal sample, crisp drums and a wiggly acid outro. 'Mumble Man' is another infectious, instantly-gratifying hand-raiser, and possibly the best scat track since Scatman John. 'Nicht Vor Mitternacht' sees the Duke flexing his EDM muscles, foregoing vocals for total synth domination, designed to work with the biggest hiss cannons the world has ever seen. Bonafide stadium wrecker. Finally, 'Drumapella' is a dope DJ tool, a functional weapon to layer in the mix or leave in it's sparse banging glory.

The bold Eduardo de La Calle of Analog Solutions infamy drops his second 12" for Hivern, following up from his take on U'R's "Transition" for the 2014 HVN release. Here Eduardo gives us some us his finest examples of the lush Techno soundscapes he's become known for.

Sale Out - be fast

Musique Large are proud to present 'Whoop' - the latest EP from Claude aka Fulgeance. The 5 tracks touch on funk, deep house and modern bass music - a natural progression from last year's 'Solid' EP.

Add to this a deep, hooky remix of 'Busted' from up-and-coming producer Glenn Astro (Tartelet / Money $ex) and you have another must-have EP. Mastered by edit king DJ Vas this EP cements Claude status as one of the most exciting producers in modern house music.

'Absolute Presence' is about losing connection with the physical world and exploring a much deeper place in your mind. It's about experiencing a significant transformative state from which one can either come back to the physical world, or fade into death. In this enhanced state of consciousness, one may feel entirely weightless, at peace, and removed from their physical body. It's the feeling of all of existence hitting you at once, and distinct emotions and identifiable feelings fading into irrelevance. How does one approach their day to day life after such an experience This is what 'Absolute Presence' attempts to address. 'Absolute Presence' comes out worldwide on limited colored vinyl (including download code).

Alex Gloor and Sasa Crnobrnja began traveling the world together under the In Flagranti moniker over a decade ago after initially meeting in Switzerland in 1991. Ever since, the veteran dance music producers have offered up a unique marriage of sample-based disco and electro, releasing their prolific catalog on imprints like Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound and French outfit, Kitsuné, along with their own 'disco punk' label, Codek Records Europe.
Thirteen years after their first release, In Flagranti prove once again that their knowledge for quality disco grooves is consummate, showing off top notch use of reminiscent samples and funky synths in new single 'Double Talk'. Rigged up with a soulful, 70s era vocal and a Sunday stroll bassline, In Flagranti's latest offering is truly timeless — a slice of dance music tied down to no trend or generation.
'Double Talk' will be released as an EP along with remixes from Andy Butler of Hercules & Love Affair, Dinamo of Azari & III, and Wolfram.

Grammy Award-winning, Ivor Novello-nominated trio NERO return this year with an album that celebrates that sense of love among the ruins, and cements their reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting bands. It both complements 2012’s Number One album Welcome Reality (and attendant hits Me & You, Guilt and the chart-topping smash Promises) and pushes the band’s apocalyptic and frequently romantic electronic sound further than ever before.

As Into The Past, their 2013 contribution to Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby soundtrack hinted, and their 2015 Coachella headline slot proved, the now fully formed three-piece are more finely tuned now than ever before. Having sold over 3 million records globally, Between II Worlds will be released on August 28 on MTA / Virgin EMI Records.

Between II Worlds will be released in two formats: a CD in a black standard jewel case, and a single LP with heavyweight 180-gsm vinyl, black sleeve and gatefold cover.

Whilst he is primarily recognised for his bond with Detroit and its varying strands of House and Techno, Seth Troxler is an artist whose taste and collection spreads much further afield. Through his own imprint Soft Touch, Seth explores music from way beyond the motor city's borders as he seeks to outlet left-of-centre cuts that touch on 'interstellar guitar, calypso disco and seductive techno tracks'. With the project inaugurated by Clarian back in August of 2014, the second instalment comes from the Visionquest and Playhouse affiliated trio Rework who draw from their unique meld of synths and vocals and turn in their 'Lovecall' EP.

'Girl Or Boy' kicks things off with a dense wall of ducking pads before Sascha Hedgehog's vocals prowl over moody chord shifts and slow and steady drum beats. The swelling pads of the title trackk then omit a Miami-tinged glow atop a walking bass pattern and a melancholic synth refrain before 'Moon' sets hazy guitar licks rotating inside an aquatic casing. Bright, glassy pads bleed in overhead while reverb draws melodies from the horizon to the foreground, gently rolling progress forwards, and sealing off a second record that keeps us guessing where Soft Touch will turn to next.

Widely acclaimed by press (Crack Magazine, Dazed & Confused, RA, XLR8R, Cyclic Defrost, RBMA, DE:Bug to name a few) since its initial release in 2009 and heavily sought after by vinyl hunters and devoted listeners ever since, this album marks a decisive juncture in the artistic direction not only for Robot Koch and his career as a solo artist, but also for Project: Mooncircle.

Six years, four full-length albums and 5 EP's, plus various production and remix credits later, the true magnitude of this classic album only becomes apparent. The new ground both label and artist have discovered since their mutual starting point proved to be their contribution to the evolution of sound. Even with so many changes in the musical landscape during the last years, this album has lost none of its relevance and shows the exceptional talent of Robot Koch.

'Death Star Droid' is now available on vinyl again for the first time since the original pressing. The exclusive remastered double vinyl repress deluxe set with reworked gatefold cover includes remixes by Flako and Shlomo and comes out worldwide on the 28th of April, 2015.
