New Dawn Baba Stiltz hails from a tradition of funky outcasts centred around the calm yet unpredictable city of Stockholm, Sweden. Since his infant days he's been guided through the nitty-gritty basics of what it is to be a true music lover by some of the city's most prolific artists, producers and djs. Despite his youth, 20-year-old Baba boasts an impressive discography, with two albums of dreamy folk-pop (as The Betlehem Beard Corporation) and a string of hit singles within the elusive Skweee scene already under his belt. His more recent studio adventures have led to three 12' releases on Stockholm dance label Studio Barnhus as well as recurring production work for post-rap phenomenon Yung Lean. Total is Baba's debut album under his own name and his finest work to date. From the opening machine-funk arpeggio of Missing to the sanguine melancholia of closing hiphop beat Discovery - New Dawn, Baba's masterpiece rides through psychedelic screw-pop, minimalistic emo-acid and opiate-drenched coming-of-age-ambient.

A vast and decaying appearance, withered and broken, spread thin, hanging on by a thread.

Distorted beyond recognition, dwindling in my view, a clouded shadow, on jagged stone.

'A delightful nugget of music that is equal parts abstraction and lushness.'

The first release by Sous Section 5 since 2008's "6 Flights" EP comes in the form of an endless-loop cassette. Originally designed for repetetive announcements in shopping centres and other public address situations, the endless loop cassette is also perfectly suited to SS5's lulling, wave-like piece "Sonsuz" - the title of which is the Turkish word for "endless", "limitless", "infinite" or "immeasurable".
The extremely limited cassette (only 50 copies for the world) comes hand-assembled in a black metallised sheilding bag, complete with transparent poly-flex casing.

After remixing The Veldt, Tommy Trash returns to mau5trap with an edit of the wicked 'Monkey See Monkey Do'. Tom Staar, Nom De Strip and Zero Hero are all on hand to help out.

After many years producing quality underground dance music under numerous aliases, Fulgeance is delighted to present his new collaboration with Darius Broobecker: CLAUDE. Taking its inspiration from disco and classic house music, this EP blends Chicago House and UK Bass in a uniquely French way. The latest signings toFulgeance's ownMusique Largeimprint,CLAUDEhave already produced remixes for techno pioneerLaurent Garnier, indie rock bandSamba De La Muerte& beatmakerNeko Neko. This, their debut EP, was made with dance music lovers in mind, and has already found support fromPedro Winter (Ed Banger), Garnier & Osunlade. Artwork is a collaboration betweenRekick(Musique Large Label Boss),Emile Sacre´'s logo and french comic illustration legendFloc'h, the man behindWoody Allen's «Hollywood Ending» andAlain Resnais«Smoking/No Smoking» movie posters.

This EP kicks off with the synth-funk of Claudius and title track Solid. The insistently catchy Shake Your Head & Go! is a dance floor bomb whilst on the B side smashers Damn Thang and Bip Bap are juxtaposed with the afro-influenced Hum. The duo show their softer side to close the EP with In Love« avec beaucoup d'amour » and a healthy dose of sub bass.

Medical Records is beyond elated to finally present to the world the first official reintroduction and reissue of the iconic IKO "83" LP. This coveted album by minimal synth aficionados around the globe has been out of print and very rare since it's original release in 1982. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, IKO has always been shrouded in mystery. All 3 members come from an academic background (electroacoustic composition, etc), and they met at the University of Montreal in the music department. Taking from their collective influences of 60's pop, prog and minimalist composers as well as early industrial, they played in a few early bands before solidifying the all-synth incarnation of IKO in it's definitive lineup. The LP was originally released on Manhattan Formula. Other than Rational Youth, the Montreal synth scene was small, and the band broke up not too long after it's release. Over the years, it has slowly achieved cult status of the highest order and now fetches inflated collector's prices on the open market. It even prompted an unauthorized bootleg LP a few years ago (of much inferior sound quality). The master for this very special reissue is transferred and EQ'ed from the master analog tapes. The opening track "Approach On Tokyo" sets the mood with it's electro hooks and almost "Trans-Europe Express" synth parts. "Gonadotropic Synthesis" is an amazing slow and beautiful synthy melodic number which blurs the lines between love song and a lecture on hormonal interplay out of a medical textbook". "Digital Delight" is a fast paced dance floor favorite with cyborg lyrics and catchy hooks. The LP contains one never before heard bonus track "Jungle City" which is a bit of a more ominous and dark track as compared to the other album tracks. This LP will appeal to the legions of people who have been patiently waiting for an official reissue as well as the un-initiated fans of classic synth pop, Kraftwerk, early Human League and the like. Features a bonus insert with interview and retrospective by Dave Segal. Additional remastering by Martin Bowes at the Cage, London. Presented on high-quality 180gram heavyweight half and half yellow and black vinyl.

The Hacker's new single for Correspondant features two thrilling mixes by Offset and Daniel Maloso.

Making a techno shift, Midnight Shift's third release sees Recondite on his upward trajectory pair up with the relatively reserved
Julien H Mulder. Both outputs possess a stripped down aesthetic, but while the former shows up straight up and shiny, the latter
introduces lightness and play. A tightly packed, hardworking 4-track EP that will serve the many moods of a DJ well.
Formerly from Bavaria and now based in Berlin, Recondite crafts 'Borderline', a track that delivers shimmery afterdark punch such as
with the last bright rays of an inevitably waning sun. 'Stomper' does not have to go on too long to make a point. It is a moody, melancholic, almost lovesick trudge topped off with restless hi hats.
Accomplished in ambient space music, Julien H Mulder has been producing since the 90s. To him, simplicity is best. The Stockholm
resident's 'Won't Say Nothing' is a lightly drenched sigh paired with broken beat while 'Old Rutins' is a bassline-led kicker soon to
run amok in dancefloors. They quite simply hint at what is to come with his forthcoming full-fledged EP on Midnight Shift.

Laurent Wery' s clubhit Hey Hey Hey has been around for over a year in clubs all over the world. The track gets a refix with the appealing vocals of DEV (known from the hit "like a G6" by Far East Movement).

Tom Ellard is the creative force behind Australian post-punk band Severed Heads. In 1982 he self-released two cassettes of solo material, '80s Cheesecake' and 'Snappy Carrion'. These cassettes document the transitional period between the early experimental Severed Heads' albums 'Clean' and 'Blubberknife' before the start of something new with 'Since The Accident'. With the advent of the then new Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, a machine synonymous with the acid house sound, Tom began to write more beat driven material

Kasper Bjørke returns with an exquisite new album, 'After Forever', the Danish producer's boldest and most elegant statement to date. The scene has been set by two lead singles: 'Rush' featuring Tobias Buch - and 'Sylvia' featuring CTM. Moving away from previous 70s disco inspired sound, Kasper explores new terrain in contemporary, melancholic synth pop; his productions merging themselves into a multi coloured soundscape with echoes from Post Disco/Punk, Kraut and New Wave. 'After Forever is good for dark, sad dancing - or a headphone journey inwards' says Kasper 'I feel like I really went somewhere else on this album, to a place where I haven't been before. Out of my safety zone and into a darker space".
