2009 had a busy start for Thomas Gold, with his first single of the year, a collaboration with Matthias Menck, 'Everybody Be Somebody' topping the international charts. Thomas' success continued when his anthemic remix of 'Delerium's' classic 'Silence' dominated the Beatport chart and picked up the coveted Beatport Music Award for 'Best Progressive House Track'.
Thomas' flawless talent as a producer has resulted in a string of massively successful single releases: 'Don´t You Want Me', 'Everybody Be Somebody', 'Losing My Religion' to name but a few.
His undeniable skill as a remixer has also seen him remix tracks for massive artists like Erick Morillo, Paul van Dyk, Roger Sanchez, Ian Carey, Antoine Clamaran, Alex Gaudino, Laurent Wolf and Peter Gelderblom.
With this strength and quantity of material its no wonder Thomas has gained such a massive following amongst discerning clubbers, Labels and other DJs. His tracks are hot property with Axwell, TV Rock, Syke`N Sugarstarr, D.O.N.S., Dabruck & Klein, Stonebridge, Pete Tong and DBN all counting themselves as fans of his work.
Thomas has recently closed the deal with renowned UK label CR2 for his new production in collaboration with Lee Cabrera, a new and fresh version of one of the biggest Ibiza anthems ever - 'Shake It'! -So rest assured his next single is already in the pipeline ...
Always finding innovative and exciting ways to develop tracks, this talented and musically gifted producer's music is filled with energy, soul and strength. Thomas' deep devotion to music started early in life: by the age of 7 he had learnt to play the keyboard. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Creative production skills, pioneering mixing talent and the interesting fusion of house and electro styles are why so many international labels are interested in this exciting artist, amongst others: CR2 (UK), Ministry of Sound (UK), Positiva (UK), Nero / Joia (Sweden), Vendetta (Spain), Cyber & Scorpio (France), Time (Italy), Ministry of Sound (Australia), Universal (USA), Egoiste (Switzerland).
The magic you hear in his productions is just as evident in his DJ sets. The earthshaking basslines and cutting edge electro house beats tear apart clubs throughout the world as Thomas' intuition sets dancefloors on fire and keeps the crowd rocking 'til the early hours.
So what gives Thomas the drive to work day and night the studio until the track is tight
'The greatest thing, is to see and feel the vibrations when I first play a track to an audience. Spinning my latest stuff and watching from the DJ booth as the crowd get excited and begin to go crazy gives me an amazing feeling that words can't describe! That's what pushes me!'
Thomas is constantly travelling around the world with his unique and distinctive 'Golden TG Set', playing is own productions and remixes. After a busy 2008, touring through Brazil, Indonesia and Australia, 2009 started with an impressive show at Queen, Paris where Thomas celebrated his birthday, followed by hot DJ sets in Miami and across Europe, tours through Canada and Brazil.
It goes without saying that Thomas Gold is spinning in all of the hottest places around the world; Queen and Mix Club in Paris, Pacha in London, The Week in Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro, Fabrique in Moscow, Circus in Montreal, Peter Pan in Riccione, Passage in Vienna, Grodan and Solidaritet in Stockholm, Tank in Sydney, and of course on the white island, Ibiza, where he played at El Divino, Space and Privilege. Not forgetting the German venues, especially his residency at Munich's finest house club '8 Seasons'. Alongside all Thomas' live gigs, he also finds the time to do regular radio shows, like 'Friday Nights' with KCB in Australia, 'The Edge' with Maximus around the globe, RTSFM in France and Rise FM in Hungary.
From the stamps in his passport it's easy to see that Thomas Gold is growing as an international success and looks set to go from strength to strength.

After the club tropicana sounds of Bang the bomb its time to roll the sleeves up and get down to the business end of this trip. Touching down on planet Subturanus in search of the real underground shit Light sound dark do not disappoint digging deep into its core and excavating strange alien like sonics which had previously been lying dormant. Onyx ''Robot world'' kicks things and what a start! hailing from Boston Massachusetts this 1982 cassette only release is almost completely unknown to all but a few. So ahead of its time with its production and ''Robots are taking over the world'' drone vocal this is an absolute must for people who are fascinated with the history of house music and is surely worthy as a missing piece on the ever expanding jigsaw puzzle.

Following his earlier single release "(Call For) The Last Stand", which was his debut on Equinox in 2010, as well as his remix release for Ceschi Ramos' "Black And White And Red All Over", the "Euryphaessa EP" is a new great musical perspective on Andreikelos' vast talents.
A well known producer and engineer in Greece, Andreikelos may still be the best kept secret from the global Leftfield Electronica genre. Having created his own style with his significant drum pattern and synthesizers use this EP is adventurous as it is deep.

Three years in the making, Symmetry - the project that began as a conceptual tangent between Glass Candy, Chromatics, Mirage, & Desire's more abstract sides - finally sees its release this month. Themes For An Imaginary Film is two hours of claustrophobic cinematic bliss compiled for Painters, Writers, Photographers, Designers, Cruisers, Night Walkers, & Dreamers. Adrenaline drips thick like syrup across a horizon where memories become blurred scenes behind the windshield & yesterday's faces fade as the road strobes to aggressive rhythms. Romantic melodies linger in the rearview mirror as chimera bells saturate the electric fog that's slowly rolling in.

- There are 2 types of EDM producers.
The ones who aren't instrumentalists in the first place, and the ones who are.
Bone Machine is definitely of the 2nd kind and you can feel it in his tracks:
A totally different level of grooviness,
way more hypnotic than your average electrohouse track.
Danzere is one of his finest works : Progressive structure,
mesmerizing bassline, cutting-edge synths.
-When trying to answer to the question "What comes after dubstep"
Some answer stupid stuff such as "progressive trance will come back"
and some bet on a better horse.
Pzyon definitely invests in the future with his glitch hop track Tomorrowland :
Organic basses, solid drums exploding on impact, and oldschool vocal loops.
-Is it possible to get a coherent result when you use 5 different synths,
each with a dozen of articulations,
and some filtered 70s disco samples on top of it well, apparently.
Troublegum's Too Many Parameters (hence the name)
layers strong pumpy subs with screaming
and growling basses but doesn't forget funkyness.
-filthy hybridation of dubstep and gabber (!!!) memories of rotterdam wakes up the robotic raver
inside you with its ternary rythm, hardcore kicks and aggressive synths.
having ingested all these energy drinks of various fluorescent colors was indeed a good idea.

Profumo is the first release in the new Don't Be Afraid 10" series entitled DBA DUBS. This series is about teaming a London house dub with a 'techno-related' dancefloor remix. The first release comes from Claws For of Modern Soul Recordings (and formerly DC Recordings), with a remix from Miami's Gosub, who you will doubtless recognize from his releases on Citinite, Device and Frustrated Funk. Hearing is believing as far as the original goes, a soulful and expressive analogue house cut that will work in both day time and night time sets this summer. Gosub's remix is a sleazy, greasy Miami electronic funk work out which sweats and oozes authentic East Coast vibe

Following the extraordinary outings of his 2010 debut 12s on Phantasy Sound ('Summertime Our League' / 'Havai'), and an album and mini album in 2009/11 respectively ("Weekend' / 'Preparing a Voice to Meet the People Coming") on Perdizes Dream/Glue Moon, Sao Paolo based Babe, Terror returns with 'Knights EP' his visionary take on modern sampleapsychedelica or wdm (wrong dance music) as he describes it, composed 'under the influence of the cadence of life' This heady stew of unsettling aural landscapes and lush, cinematic stories, have earned him the admiration of The New Yorker, Said the Gramophone, The Guardian, Coke Machine Glow and Uncut as well as the likes of Arto Lindsay, Four Tet, James Holden. 'Knights EP' invites the intrepid listener to experience Babe, Terror's deepest visions to date - 34 minutes of raw primitive drum machine beats colliding with a wild-collage of samples, hymnal vocal chants, swooning reversed guitars slathered in hiss, and slurring keyboards... Collecting and joining sounds together with no pretentions, BT plays with his voice, fx pedals and presets until he arrives at a place full of trippy forms, spectres and creatures - a decompositive micro-symphony. His self confessed love for the spirit of early techno and house, punk and harsh-lo-fi, leads him to place an emphasis on the rawness of sounds, as well as remaining an 'amateur' in his creative process: 'i see myself as a musical mental traveler than a producer or composer. I make music as Babe, Terror because i always wanted to be The Beatles of my apartment.' With several more cosmic-comic compositions slated for later in the year, it's clear that 2012 will cement Babe, Terror as a vital and urgent voice in the intergalactic musical landscape - Special Packaging: 3 mm sleeve / 1 x etched 12' in a plastic bag
