This is a second EP with songs from Nakion's forthcoming album, to be released on Tigersushi in September. These two songs show her Trevor Horn side, with heavy chopped up, pitched down samples. Nakion knows her Art Of Noise but she knows how to make things damn' funky too.

PLUGS are a London-based three-piece made-up of front-man/guitarist Morgan Quaintance (ex-Does It Offend You, Yeah ~), bass player David Chin and Boomer Opperman on drums. PLUGS music ranges from funky, sometimes bleepy, techno with seriously soulful vocals to melody driven Afro rhythms knitted together by tight electro bass lines and soaring guitar parts. As well as producing their own material they've also remixed We Have Band, Clor, The Noisettes, The Boxer Rebellion, Post War Years, 586, Erik Hassle, Alex Roots, and others... "PLUGS never made us feel more like busting a move to synths in a Justice-meets-Metronomy kind of way." NME... also including a PONI HOAX remix

NIBIRU displays the same elegance that made Solar Apex such a classy ride but this time, Chateau Marmont's pop leanings seem more restrained, the overall tone more Kraftwerkian, the record more muscular. This one is less poppy and more dancey, if you will. 'One Hundred Realities', 'Monodrama', 'Heliochrome', 'Nibiru': four tracks chronicling the ever-fascinating relationship between man and analog gear, featuring elegiac melodies, ultra-layered synth work and dramatic drum machines.

I only know three kinds of tracks: ones that are shit, ones that are good, and ones that make me jealous. Avalanche falls into category 3. i adore it, and it kinda stresses me out, making me ask myself fundamental questions about who i am and what i'm doing with my life. It has put unnecessary stress on my otherwise healthy friendships with Erol and Alex, to the point i have considered using my family connections to tell Leonard he has been ripped-off by these two punks. Sadly, as hard as i have tried to MAKE the track fail, i cant quite manage it: it works in every situation (read: from 60person bar mitzvah to 30 000 dutch people rave). I would never ever waste this much time writing about something without getting paid, UNLESS i really loved it. well done erol and alex, i'll see you in hell.
