Innervisions is back with the 13th edition of our Secret Weapons series. A motley team of familiar and new faces pave the way and deliver a conceptually mixed sound spectacle. Inspiring cuts which built the fundament of long and excessive hours on the dance floor, key tracks to create magic moments.

Copenhagens own dj legend and veteran producer KIM KEMI releases another jacking and euphoric banger- ONLY SMOKE - his stylish and subtle sound design and varied arrangement take hints of Robert Hoods minimal riffs and flesh out a full funky arrangement taking us on that classic luxurious sonic journey. Pres play and trigger the
smoke machine - or the soap bubbles.
Martinez ́s remix is a more electro affair that could blend well with classic Underground Resistance releases. Watch out for the acid topline. Martinez is a Swedish electronic music producer and DJ, currently based in Copenhagen. Martinez kick started his carrier
in 2000 with his "Laidback Grooves EP" on the notorious Chicago based Deep-House label Guidance Recordings.
Asmus Odsats remix of SMOKE KILLS is taking the track in a more broken but funky IDM territory, breaking the track down adding avantgarde dub details over the stuttering beat.
Asmus Odsat is a former resident at Culture Box and co-founder of Ritual Malmö as well as the BULK club night releases via. FALK DISKS, the club focused sub-label of FALK (Fuck Art Lets Kill) with his ‘Ecstatic Half Truth’ EP, is played by Courtesy - even in her BBC Radio 1 show mix.

Ugly Music considers Sir Lord Comixx one of their own homegrown talents. Amoon has graced many a dancefloor with his professional dancing performing alongside Jazzcotech, Willie Ninja & Crazy Legs. He has been producing underground house for nearly three decades, his creations having garnered support from DJs across the spectrum from Carl Cox to Danny Tenaglia by way of Carl Craig. Most recently Matt Edwards has released a retrospective series of Amoon’s past releases on R-Time Records.

This E.P. is a classic example of Amoon’s trademark deep sounds for the discerning dance floor and is sure to become a future classic.

Big Ever is the new moniker of Sydney born, Berlin based music producer Thomas McAlister. Over 2016-19 Big Ever released a string of EPs and singles under the name Cop Envy; through Black Opal, Templar Sound, Cry Baby Records, Decisions and Hypercolour. Incienso is hyped to release the debut Big Ever EP “Otto” as the first in our run of very exciting records coming out in 2021.

Coming through with four distinctive and vibrant club tracks primed for all hours of the night or early morning, Big Ever lets loose on 2021 with a bold and unique take on percussion, bass, and ambiance working in unison to extraordinary effect.

Emerging from the shadows with 2021s ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ album, electro duo Sons of Slough see their debut 12” back in print via Perko’s FELT label. A quiet highlight of turn of the millennium-era British dance music that takes cues from the New York and Detroit schools of thought, ‘Live EP’ is rough, heavy and proves just as effective on the dancefloor two decades later. The Sons played shows with Richie Hawtin, Two Lone Swordsmen, Dave Clarke, The Chemical Brothers and more, often performing (as the title might suggest) in a live context. Indeed, the A1 cut ‘Snares and Temptations’ was a regular fixture, reportedly taking the roof off the place at the first Dedbeat Weekender as well as some of the worlds ‘less congenial establishments’. It's a sharp, low-end laden assault on the senses making great use of a distorted vocal sample and Drexciyan-like drum programming. The other three cuts are equally as powerful, vocoders and 'squelchy messes of clicks and whirrs' aplenty. The second instalment of FELT, 'Live EP' hints at the stylistic breadth yet to come via Perko's newly christened aural lovechild.

Vilamar finally step out from the shadows with a debut of rigorously sustained bass pressure. The product of endless smokefilled studio sessions in Lisbon’s industrial Eastside, each cut is imbued with the contrasting glint and grime of the nearby river port. Whether it’s the earthy breaks and grinding half-step of the A-side or the water-drenched dub and dnb on the B, Vilamar take a wrecking ball to the monotony of the club, breaking a new path out into the rave jungle beyond.

Automat's "Modul Remixes #2" package presents the heavyweight producers Acid Pauli, Detroit's own Terrence Dixon, DeWalta, Shahrokh Dini and Dubvisionist, from the respected Echo Beach label, blurring the boundaries between peak time club music, dub, techno, electronica and house.

Automat - Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten, Die Haut), Achim Färber (Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub, Skip McDonald) and Georg Zeitblom (wittmann/zeitblom) - operates like a well-oiled machine: it buzzes, it whirrs, it follows an unswerving course. Together with modular magician Max Loderbauer and Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman, Lydia Lunch and Mika Bajinski on vocal duties, they now present "Modul" their most varied and consistent album, on Compost Records.

Automat operate like a well-oiled machine: it buzzes, it whirrs, it follows an unswerving course. On its fourth album however, the trio shifts down a gear, further refines its musical approach and partners with other figures from the world of adventurous music. Besides Candy Bomber Studios neighbour Max Loderboder - with whom Jochen Arbeit, Achim Färber and Georg Zeitblom have already worked together in 2015 for an EP -, they are joined on the microphone by dub legend Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman, the undisputed queen of gutter poetry Lydia Lunch and the newcomer Mika Bajinski. They all contributed to the recordings according to the guiding principle which lends its name to "Modul": the eight pieces were written collectively based on a building block system that dynamically set the compositional process in motion and evenly divided responsibility between all participants. The result is a musical perpetuum mobile - an album with the steady resting pulse of a dub production that always stays on the move.

Tunisia based Jihed Monser aka HearThug swaggers aboard Sex Tapes From Mars for the wax-only label’s fourth release; a robotic excursion into gritty, tongue in cheek vocoder, bolstering acid lines and vintage pad swoons.

Heading straight for the dancefloor, it opens with “Computerized Souls”, going notably heavy on the drums and low-end, with acid madness at the forefront and alien sounding melodies enabling the eeriness.

“Generation Of Robots”, is flooded with sci-fi melodies, retro B-boy references and rinsed-out,16-bit, bouncing unfettered tones.

On the flip, “Buzz! Look An Alien (Oh No - No Mix)” neatly fits either the warm up or early hours, filling the low-key, understated spaces it reaches with plenty of esoteric colour and character.

“The Dreams Let You Die” is a poignant closer, sampling Angelo Badalamenti’s iconic Twin Peaks theme to maximal effect. It’s full of moody bass melodies and exquisite, chugging percussion, marking a slinky finale to a highly versatile and

Klasse Wrecks' first release of 2023 comes storming out of the gate, hot on the tail of Mr. Ho's previous album and his collaborative 'Eu-Li' EP with Mogwaa. 'Angel Number 909' is a collection of three versions of one track, the over-riding element in the EP is an incessant and catchy acidic synthline that bounds across racketing breakbeats and galloping basslines. Alongside the 'US Breaks' version is an old school influenced 'Acid House' version as well as a moodier 'House' mix. Three pedigree tracks that will be sure to go the distance on any dancefloor...
