House Vinyl New Releases - News

Last year's 'Romantic Thrills' album was testament to Niconé & Sascha Bramer's impressive knack for delicate melodies and soothing vocals, seamlessly woven into powerful house music thanks to the warm pulse of the kick drum. Here, on their new EP 'United Colors of Language', the duo delivers three stunning tracks to rival their previous output in both, romanticism and danceability. On the A1, the vocalist Narra once again lends her fabulous voice to an arrangement of harmonious guitar loops and euphoric build-ups. Much like 'Caje' before it, 'Rej Senhor' sets itself apart as an all-round secret weapon that will work in the club or at an open air, during peak-time and after-hour alike. A little more forward, 'Cold World' loops a fluidly rolling piano towards a break in which Niconé's own vocals bedazzle. Finally, the pair draws us into an Algerian lullaby in the form of 'Raoui', which combines the empathy and melancholy of ethnic folk music with a hands-in-the-air groove. With this standout EP Niconé & Sascha Bramer achieve what they set out to do - they prove that music is the most powerful language of all!

Next up for Act Natural Records is Duky with remixes from Miro Pajic and Shaf Huse.

Hailing from the jungle of Tokyo, the elusive Nature Rhythm delivers an elegant three tracker that fits somewhere between the percussive style of Dorisburg and the deep Prescription vibes.

The new comer Roman S releases his first track ever, showing his talent for groove and minimal house. On the B-side, D°C, Breilitz and Sir Squi explore three kinds of techno. First track of this side, 'Erebus' shows a Kompakt-like new wave but club-oriented techno
Raw Interference' could without any doubt be played at Berghain. Last track, '(crashed)' is on the psychedelic slope of techno. It uses a sitar, to ends the compilation on a shinier note.

About a year ago Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli met at the studio to record some music. While doing so they discovered their common love for sample based production. So they were basically digging into old vinyls and eventually these three tracks came along. Nothing more to say, but enjoy. ‚Call of The Valley' is the first release on the new label Ouïe: There has been a shift in this tiny piece of massive world and, like all other shifts, they are documented by those who were there. Ouie is the label to do just that, created by the people who were there, making those shifts. It began when dancers old and young and in-between, began falling in love with a new kind of space: cool-like-lemonade dance-floors and the music that worked them - a kind of electronica that blurred the genres and removed the boxes that we once knew. Ouïe is the label where these tales will be told. Reading with your ears you will hear these stories from page one. You hear the artist's influences, the travellers they passed, the lovers they lost, the jungles, deserts and cities they crossed. And, of course, you hear the work of musicians whose knowledge of music allows them to cross-pollinate computer music with ease. Think jazz. Imagine disco. Dream ambient. Desert grooves. Imagine what you can't. Behind Ouïe are Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan, guys who have created these shifts with their music over multiple utopian soirees attracting some of the most colourful and awake people on the planet. Joining them to tell the tales will be friends old and new. Oceanvs Orientalis, Nu and of course many more, but this will happen organically and diversely, like the music.

Like a slug persistently stuck to the bottom of a half-pipe in the community park over which there has been much debate, Grey People has long been making tracks within proximity of the teenage forbidden zone from the detached, elemental perspective of a dark, moist creature."Cryogenically Frozen" -- should we be Schwarzenegger cries liquid nitrogen teardrops but allows you entree to the dance floor, filled with the icy carved physiques of electro snowmen."Coma Tunnel" makes going flatline sound beautiful and sad. The fluorescent hum of the bulbs lighting the conical ceramic passage to oblivion provides a nostalgic pillow to press our face into.On the B side, the Tornhawk squad mess-up of "Coma Tunnel" begins with toddler-techno thuggery. Then guitar chews Grape Nuts cereal all loud in the ear of your high school principal. Then some screechy, finally soothing greeting from the angels that escort you to afterlife's beanbag chair.

Jay Haze is back with a new single from his forthcoming album entitled "Rain Drops and Birds" out in late Feb. 2017 we added a bonus song entitled "a delicate life" , available only right here. A1. "Recurring Melody" feat. Hoffmann Ensemble Along with a rolling beat 'Recurring Melody' defines distances. Synths appear close next to you and then subtly disappear back into space. The violins of the Hoffmann Ensemble lose their distance with a direct tone, recorded right from the fabric of the instrument. Everything feels right, but also in flux. A2. "Hurt" feat. Robert Owens Absorbing the moment is the best way to finding peace with the moment. A peak into a sorrowful yet hopeful mind, carefully approaching you with a backdrop of Dub. Heavy synths just glide away, as if they stand for issues being resolved. Layers of vocals sung by Robert Owens lead the path until the conflict is no longer. B1. "A Delicate Life" feat. Mo Here's one to take a nice deep breath to. From Mo's unique improvisations of his self invented "Mulutar" emerges a cluster of harmonic and melodic beauty. The sounds evolve as focus drifts into each element of the track, held together by a steady beat and bass line, this is sure to keep your feet glued to the floor while the rest of you is free to do as you will..

Opening track 'Turn On The Fun' features slithering synth lines, a nimble and inviting baseline and plenty of warming emotion. It's spacious and airy and the intriguing melodic patterns really keep your head as busy as your heel whilst the loopy beats roll below. 'Funcy' is a little more rubbery and direct, with clacking perc, freewheeling synth lines and bubbly drums that never stay locked in one place, roaming around and taking you with them. Lastly, 'Funatics' has a sombre minor chord bassline that rides up and down the scale as crisp, clean hi hats dance alongside. Bouncy and jostling, energetic and restless, it's a track that perfectly rounds out this debut EP and shows that Barem and Cabrera are true to their world and really do know how to produce some fun techno funk.

Over the years, Lo Recordings has taken pride in exploring a wide and broad range of sounds, genres and styles. To mark 20 Years of Lo Recordings, we are taking a fresh and bold approach with our output to further explore the accelerating and refined developments in electronic music today.

This is the first of our new phase of releases, a collaborative project between the two titans Mr. G and K15. 'A Learning Curve' is exactly as the title suggests, an educational experience to un- derstand each other musically and technically, and to explore new territories and schools of thought.

As avid users and fans of the MPC, as well as being extremely busy, both Mr. G and K15 were given the same samples dug out of the Lo Recordings archives to each create a track which would remotely display their techniques and methods. This was quick- ly adopted to be the theme in a series of three releases to come out throughout the year from the pair.

The results come in the form of Mr. G's mesmerising 'Navigate' and K15's introspective 'The Guilt Within', two very individual tracks in their own rights.

'Navigate' is instantly recognisable as the work of its creator, armed and ready to bring the dance floor to hypnotic heights. With its rough and gritty sound, driving kick & synth stabs, and hauntingly majestic keys, we are thrown into peak of the night. On the flip, 'The Guilt Within' takes a turn to more ominous terri- tories, crafting an atmosphere on the other end of the spectrum to 'Navigate'. A beautiful and delicate journey carried along by light skipping percussion, immersive sweeping pads and a puls- ing sub which all come together to take the listener deep inside themselves.

87 Records is back with another quality release by Fusal.
On top it comes around with an outstanding remix by the mighty Archie Hamilton.

After a two-year hiatus the London based House & Techno label Nineteen89 is back with a debut release from Oliver Moon. Both the A and B-side take inspiration from two very different sides of the Ibiza scene, where Oliver himself has spent the majority of his 22 years. Son of pioneering DJ/ producer Just Be (Bushwacka!), Oliver Moon began watching and learning from his peers, earning a spot on line-ups alongside such heavyweights as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer and Umek, at Space Ibiza amongst many other island venues. '

Insight' can unpretentiously be described as sub-heavy techno. Subtle steel drums build the intro behind a viscous kick that falls onto an unsettling bass. The breakdown brings a creeping vocal with a message subject to 'life choices' before dropping into chest thumping percussion line, laced with a deep bass structured to shake soundsystems.

On the flip side 'Amanecer' can be labelled as the after party to the A-Side. Meaning sunrise or dawn in Spanish, 'Amanecer' is a soulful minimal tech-house track inspired by the magical island sunrises that make the white isle and it's infamous afterparties the envy of party goers the world over. Soft synths create the backbone of the track, over grooving hats and claps, complete with a smooth bass line.
