The tracks on this EP have been produced by Clanger and Charlie Andrews (Madness, Micachu), and Charlie Hugall (Florence and the Machine, Crystal Fighters). The German acoustic techno trio Brandt Brauer Frick comes up with its second EP on Tartelet Records, giving a foretaste of their highly exspected debut album coming later this year. "Paino Shakur" follows a rough and jazzy approach, featuring a minimalistic piano motif going mad, accompanied by sloppy drums, vibraphone and a heavy bass.

Detroit's Eric Johnston who has already brought Archipel a remix of Marc Neyen and an EP on Kalimari now brings us a superb four track 12" entitled "Silly Girl". This whole package is a highly rhythmic affair which while darkly tinted remains very funky.

A few times a year, a label releases a single that rocks the industry and the upcoming release from Hidden Recordings does just that. Gregory Shiff, who has also released off of such high caliber label's as Stewart Walker's Persona label in Berlin, produced the original and the label enlisted techno luminaries Adultnapper, Tony Rohr and Pheek, along with Deepak Sharma and Dieter Krause to add remixes to put together a five track monster that will, and should be in the crates of DJs around the world for the rest of this year and beyond.

HEJ RECORDS drops another E.P. by JASON DUNLAP (Chicago) & REESE TURNS (Australia), a forward thinking techno team, creating innovative tracks together despite the challenge of being separated by thousands of miles. This is a pair to watch out for, carving out a sound that is distinctly their own, yet unlike anything else in a highly saturated market.

Jin Choi returns to Archipel to release his second 12" in Archipel's vinyl series entitled "Dig Your Own Out". Just as masterful as his first Archipel 12", Jin's second coming is surrounded by an aura of warmth and is highly jazz influenced providing the birthing ground for his fervently smokey textures.
