Shahrokh Dini delivered two top notch EPs in 2022, “Now We Can Dance” w/ Illinois and “Ubuntu”. After gathering some decent remixes, a proper vinyl release became self-evident. Here we go now with splendid re-works by the likes of Lehar, David Mayer, Omer Tayar, Tooker, Kovi, Patrick Zigon and Apoena. A superb package!

Shahrokh Dini left Karlsruhe, while he is even more active than ever in his old and new basecamp Berlin. Not even that he played a lot of nice gigs during summer (Amsterdam, few times on Ibiza, lot of gigs in Berlin, Italy, Corfu, Sardinia), he is also busy in the studio with several releases and remixes (btw.: one for Compost artist Felix Laband). “Now We Can Dance” with the strong and lovely vocals by Illinois is a contemporary house smash with an 80ties indie dance twist. Shahrokh met Illinois at the Garden Of Babylon parties, where Shahrokh is virtually the resident DJ, too.
Further we have stunning remixes by Lehar (Diynamic Music, Connaisseur Recordings), David Mayer (formerly Keinemusik, Ouïe), Apoena (Freerange), Omer Tayar (The Gardens of Babylon/Tel Aviv), Patrick Zigon (Biotop, Traumraum), Tooker (Ouïe, Crosstown Rebels), Kovi (Compost, Frau Blau).

Dubai’s lo-fi wizards Shadi Megallaa & Abood Nasrawi aka GYPS take a break from their lo-fi experiments & venture onto the dancefloor with 3 original cuts aimed to make the bass bins rumble. We’ve also enlisted Dub master & Mosaic main-man, Steve O’Sullivan for a remix that takes the title track to another dimension.

Label friend Jules Heffner is doing his debut on Terrace Trips.
"Swamp" kicks off with some jungle sounds and a deep dotted bass line. Guy From Downstairs (GFD, Robsoul) serves a smooth remix with a rolling morphing bass line and some crisp percussion hints. On the B-Side "Wharf" is with his flurry synths more like a fata morgana tearing you in some wet fantasies. A remix of this one is coming from Anatol who just uses some synths from the original and a simple 303 bass line which turns the track in a more minimalistic direction

Wenn etwas aseptisch kalt wie die Musik der New Romantics und gleichzeitig aber deep, soulful und trippy ist, dann dieser Release von Al Chem aus Berlin: ein verdammt gutes Modellieren von No Wave, Electronic, Minimal und Dance.

Aufgewachsen mit einer Diät von Post-Punk, New-Wave, verloren in einem verrauchten Warehouse - diese Art von Musik und Stimme (Depeche Mode oder Johnny Cash lassen entfernt und posthum grüßen) in einem minimalen Lo-Fi Electronic Bett ist schwer zu finden. Al Chem’s Timbre und Texte sind einfach betörend, in den Himmel eintauchend, begleitet von einem hypnotischen Synth-Faden.

Das Paket mit zwei tipp-topp Remixen angereichert: Shahrokh Dini zaubert einen super drahtigen Club-Mix, durchaus geeignet für jedwede Peaktime, während Compost‘s Boss Michael Reinboth cool und sicher auf einem stein-kalten 80er Groovegerüst herumturnt.

Continuing its streak of red hot releases, Modeight Records now shines a light on an exciting new talent in Icelandic artist Ali Demir. Injecting a funky, infectious energy into 3 original compositions, backed up by a sublime remix from label head Silat Beksi himself. The young artist beguiles the listener with his raw and rollicking flow. From the uber fun, head bobbing bassline jam on "Fluent Whistler", to the slick electronic riffs of "Kumpas", and the deep, sub sonic wiggle of "Blackout", Ali Demir carves out a sophisticated and immensely enjoyable sonic journey. A breakout release for an artist who's certainly be one to watch in future.

In march STUDIO CLUB turns 6 and celebrates the date with a new release.

This time we are welcome on board WAREIKA, German collective consisting of Jakob Seidensticker, Florian Schirmacher and Henrik Raabe, with their original track that takes you on a beautiful 13 min journey through the trio’s musical universe.

The first remix comes from the club’s long-term friend ARNO, Pressure Traxx label boss. He delivers a broken beat version of «Better Yes» with a familiar blend of catchy basslines, intriguing synths and mesmerizing vocal samples.

The release closes with the remix of the label co-founders FROSTFROMPERM & SHATUNOV: deep and groovy house music, the trademark of the STUDIO CLUB’s dancefloor.
