HOVE's debut EP is full of fuzzy melodies fused with shimmering arpeggios and reduced cosmic beats. Produced at the Light of Other Days headquarters in the heart of Zurich, HOVE developed his sound out of various live-jams, which he recorded onto a Tascam Cassette Recorder. These recordings alongside numerous field recordings build the foundation of the EP Journey to Arendal.

Influenced by the sound aesthetic of early electronic producers from the 80's and 90's, as well as contemporary House, Disco or Techno, HOVE's music always has a certain kind of warmth to it. Dusty, shuffling grooves meet woozy guitar chords while crystal clear synth melodies are paired with field recordings of rivers, birds or nocturnal city atmospheres. «Journey to Arendal» is out on January 29th, 2016 on Light of Other Days.

Swiss-based, Jamaican producer Ezikiel returns to Cadenza for his another outing, this time dropping the 'Tales Of Roots' EP. With this new EP he demonstrates his flair for the musical side of club compositions, imbibing his productions with sultry atmospherics, deep emotion and organic keys and strings. The title track 'Tales of Roots' is a 15-minute opus, which unravels slowly but surely, working from a soft yet persistent bassline and a hypnotic rhythm. Samples of tribal singers add a distinct human element, entrancing you with their organic vibrations. As the voices continue to sing out you're transported to a vibrant sub- Saharan landscape, captivated by the irresistible guitar riff... On the flip we have 'Makha Poetry', a more experimental workout with a variety of warped and twisted effects spluttering and wobbling away at its foundation. The jaunty yet slightly eerie low end gives this track a naughty allure, as those strange bleeps and whirrs continue to bounce in and out of the background. There's a controlled restraint about 'Makha Poetry' which gives it a devastating simplicity and a very unique aesthetic.

Optimo Music is delighted to release the new album from Lia Mice, Australian-born but UK-residing DJ, producer and instrument designer.

Here's a few words from Lia - "When I moved to London in 2015, many things changed at once - I started going to more techno and electro nights, I changed my live-set setup, and I had access to a fully-equipped recording studio through my music masters programme. At the same time I was reading a lot of books on time travel, not just science fiction but also psychology and neuroscience - like how the human brain perceives time from moment to moment, how we can experience overlapping time, and how we interact with our past and future through memory and imagination. 'The Sampler As A Time Machine' is the result of all these new influences coming together. The tracks were developed out of ongoing studio experiments interpreting these different ideas of time travel by using samplers and tape to re-sample and manipulate original music performed by me on various instruments including my voice."

Part 3 of 5 to be released over the coming couple of months. Originally released on the Phono label in 1995/96 the 'Parts' series from Matthew Herbert are a much loved collection of house tracks that sound just as original and bold today as they did when they were first released. This series of 12's were part of an early wave of exploratory dance music that paved the way for the deep house that still works its magic on dance-floors in 2018 some 25 years later. The mix of Herbert's playfulness alongside expertly grooving production and unusual sounds makes this unique collection of work. The odd few tracks aside this is the first time that these releases have ever been repressed. All newly remastered for this reissue series, the releases include stone cold club classics such as 'Deeper', 'Take Me Back', 'Resident', 'People That Make the Music' and 'See You on Monday'.

Klangkeller Records, recognized for modular sound experiments, catchy beats and percussive
rhythms, has done it again with Audiokern's third release ',A Personal Way', EP.
The Ep delves into Experimental, Abstract and Electronica grounds. Audiokern's sounds are
stimulated by the external world and their atmosphere, with a drop of the basic essence of electronic
dance music. These 8 tracks are certainly a confirmation of it.
Uncanny Valley's live drum is fresh and magnetic alongside dissimilar jingles and swishes which
positively balance. Wired System is abstract, with a dark added vocal at the end which brands it as a
powerful track.
Differently, Under the Same Sun is entirely melodic, with beautiful dreamy waves that genuinely
make you touch the sun. It continues with The Night of Glory. its duskier - moodier vibrations and a
few words add an exciting and dark temper that still fits purely within the EP. Element of Trance and
Hypnotic Place are all about bringing the listener into another dimension. it alienates and hypnotizes
you from reality through the quantity of small alterations and sub kicks within the sound. To
conclude, Don't Forget the Animals is mysteriously percussive, it's like different animal roars
assorted together, it's gorgeously confusing.

Following two excellent releases by the duo Thread, Reach Recordz kick off the new year with a release that stays true to the labels vision and further cements it's reputation...On the helm for REACH003 is Charm Sneak, who delivers four dystopian, futuristic soundscapes.

The first track is a powerful slow builder of a tune. Constructed around a gyrating percussion pattern, incendiary handclaps and subtle, tidal melodies, it's the wobbly acid line that slowly creeps in and really lifts it off.

The second track is expertly crafted & balanced, electroy vibes, Kraftwerkian melodies and an infinitely-repeated arpeggiated synth-riff. Boom. Beware though - it's all reduced and distilled down to its bare bones.

On the flip, track 3 sees Charm Sneak abandon the restraints that characterises the first two cuts. A bolshy workout complete with super tight, crisp percussion, a pulsating bassline and a sense of unswerving urgency that is infectious.

Rounding off the EP & possibly the rawest of the tracks on the 12'. Just under that 140bpm sweetspot, it's a gradual progression through bleeps, whirls, before locking into a motorik electro blizard. Another winner!

PURISM welcomes Romanian minimal house upstart Mihai Popescu to the table, following the promising producer's run of hotly tipped singles on his own Soulsity label. The groove is crisp and infectious on opening cut "Do Watcha Feeel," which makes great use of a looped up melodic phrase and choice vocal snippets for a quintessential house throwdown. "Mixed Moods" is no less floor-ready, but its delicate, shimmering keys add a seductive quality that's impossible to resist. "Midnight Insp" takes a heads-down, tracky approach on its run in, but by the latter half opens up to reveal a gorgeous, swirling bath of chords. "Aritmethixx" provides contrast for the EP's closer, keeping the beat stripped back and using haunting flecks of sonic decoration that wouldn't sound out of place on a Horror Inc track.

The pampa, filled with enigmatic lines and geoglyphs known as Nazca, gives name to this record label.

Nazca Records was created to collect the music that Viracochas (beings of other worlds), shared with the ancient Nazca people, known for their love for music, dance and nature.

These recordings represent the music that was once played in another time and that will be played again in the future...They are the memories of the future.

Each vinyl and recording tells a story of the memories from each ceremony that took place in the Pampa Colorada, from music that was played, and of the figures and lines that the Nazcas used to show their gratitude to the Viracochas.
Maybe you're wondering how its possible or how we were able to capture those recordings in Nazca Records to then press to vinyl.
It has been discovered that if an intelligent or exotic species wanted to connect to others, they would use radio signals as they can travel any distance and require very little energy to send.

Decay Records ready there next release 'Night Melodies EP' from Italian Federico Grazzini,
containing three rugged house cuts this March.

Over the last few years Grazzini has been splitting his time between Florence and Ibiza, where he's
held residency's at The Zoo Project, Saturday Night Project, Unusual Supsects at Sankeys Ibiza, Tenax
and in between has been releasing on labels, such as Dubfire's Sci+Tec to native label Tenax
Recordings.

A wobbly synth line opens 'Late Night Melodies' alongside thumping kicks and robust percussion before
Federico switches up the feel of things opting for the aqueous sounds of 'Sampling Myself', which edges
towards deeper, obscurer territories. The release is then rounded up with the contagious, shaky
bassline that flows through 'Time To Make Some Groove' conluding the package with a raw energetic
feel.

A1's 'Sing It!' dives immediately into peak-time energy, deploying a bumping
bassline alongside cavernous hits and a frenetic percussive workout, creating
one of the more techno-tinged tracks within Moscow's discography.

'Siesta' follows suite with dubbed out chords, murky vocals and an undeniable

For its third release, Sensoramic turns to New York minimalist and renowned modular artist, Kamran Sadeghi. Fresh from releasing on key techno imprints Meander, Brouqade, Fasten Musique and Cocoon, he finishes a strong year with an exceptional three tracker. Lead track Undone suspends time for a twelve minute lesson in modular hypnotism, twisting its way through various chapters and subtle, naggingly hooky melodic passages with the interlude of a deftly placed riser. Sentient takes an alien vocodor style sound through a tense peak time work out while 'Not Here' runs a dense droning pad through a gamut of minimally applied drums and modular noises.

The first LP release for connected comes from Nandu and as with his previous EP releases the LP is a unique genre crossing palette containing elements from Deep House,House,AfroHouse,Electronic Techno and beyond brought together in Nandus' original style. Truly an LP that begs to be listened to from start to finish. In Nandus' own words: 'One mans high can truly be, another mans anxiety. In some parts of life this is very clear like having a baby, do drugs, to work, not to work, be an artist, be a banker and so it continues. Yin & Yang and the whole idea of duality is another way to describe this. When you go left you say goodbye to right - at least for the moment you choose left. What you choose is up to you. It wasn't always my dream to get up at 3pm to change diapers, but it was always my dream to have a family. And here the sacrifice is not even mentionable. It's more than worth it. But when you sometimes in life make a choice that you regret but which always will follow you, or when uncontrollable powers force you into another direction, it can easily switch the poles between high and low. In these cases you just have to look forward, but not without looking back. You need to learn, take it with you, and do better next time. This album is about how my highs also can be my anxieties."

Last spotted tomfooling as Tryck & Ton with Edvin Edvinsson, and prior to that as Tiedye on Mike Simonetti's Italians Do It Better imprint, subversive Swede Anton Klint makes his debut on Simonetti's latest label 2MR with two more vitally trippy, heavily dub-informed originals.
'Mun' chugs at a stately 107. Rippling in places, squiggling in others, there's an unabashed FX weirdness bubbling and popping over the insistent shimmering dubwise groove. Tweaking, freaking but running at such a smooth temper there's space between the chaos, Anton is balancing some heavily hypnotic alchemy here.
'Strupe' takes things even lower and slower. A dusty bluesy chugger, unhurried-yet-relentlessly building with a great sense of cosmic drama, listen and marvel as more elements are precision introduced throughout the seven minute trip. A masterclass in modern day honkytonk.
Remix-wise we're thrusted into the later hours with a technoid twist from Andre Laos. Maintaining Anton's original's trippy charm and measured pace but re-amping it with grittier foundation, teasing risers and an insurgent synth strike, it's the perfect complement to one of 2MR's most singular releases to date.
