Italian producer Nick Anthony Simoncino continues his prolific production run with a new four track EP!
Staying on course producing classic house music, Simoncino once again
touches upon the path paved by such producers as Master C&J, Blue Jean and Larry Heard. True to form, tropically tinged, melodic, deep house music that will sound perfect in the upcoming summer months.

K - Skip' Skipson has built himself quite a fan base with his funky releases as (Knarf) Skipson on Quintessentials and other labels. The young man from Berlin is deeply infuenced by Hip Hop - both in terms of production techniques (he uses an MPC as his main instrument) as well as aesthetically. For Maria Colors he comes up with four massive House tracks full of Hip Hop and Soul samples which make you wonder: can it get any deeper than this! Funky as hell and extremely soulful - that's what makes these tracks from Skipson so special - and at the same time they're a wonderful way to celebrate the label's frst birthday. The photography on the record comes from Laptopcity 2000.

Soweso 009 bring us one of Rumanians upcoming house-masters Negru. After his amazing contribution to
the Soweso Various Artists EP last year it's time for him to do his own release.

Mixpak Records released the Dre Skull produced Vybz Kartel album 'Kingston Story' over the summer to much fanfare (Vybz Kartel Fader cover, New York Times feature, Dazed and Confused feature, etc). The album debuted at Number seven on the Billboard top-selling Reggae Album charts and the first single 'Go Go Wine' received radio play around the world, getting support on Kingston radio, Hot 97, BBC Radio 1, and more.

Lee Webster is totally against monogamy in music. "I love Hiphop like I love House and theres room in this relationship for more," he explains. He cites influences as wide-ranging as Lord Finesse, Ed Rush & Optical, Disclosure, Recloose, Jamie Jones and makes music to match. On this ep for Glasgow Underground he covers jacking chicago house ("Freaky Bitches"), deep garage ("My Fantasy" & "Friday Night") and a sultry, mid-tempo disco groove ("Detroit Cheeky Things"). We didn't have room on this ep to cover all the styles this talented young English-born, Barcelona based producer can deliver but rest-assured there's more to come.

This is V.I.V.E.K's 2nd release of 2012 and the follow up to Soundman/Diablo also on MEDi. 2012 has been a great year for Vivek, it has seen him start his new club night SYSTEM alongside Mala and friends which is powered by Viveks very own Soundsystem, Three years in the making and for those that have been to the dance, they can testify to the weight! 'Out of Reach' is a classic Vivek production and pure Soundsystem music already putting Vivek's SYSTEM to the test, powerful lurching half-step groove, unforgiving bass with a truly dark industrial tension. 'Kismet' (Destiny) leans heavily towards Viveks Eastern influence with it's pray like chanting, shuffling tabla percussion and evocative effects.

the megabomb now repressed !!!

The unrelenting Hot Creations imprint has snapped up sensational talent wAFF and his impressive debut 'Jo Johnson EP'. Bursting with solid house groove, this three-track treasure paves the way for what is set to be a huge year for this rising star.
Still only in his early 20's, UK based producer wAFF has an undeniable talent that far exceeds his years.. Co-founder of long established club night Koala in Hull, wAFF has played host to some of the best names in the industry. His tracks are already being championed by key heavy weights including Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed and Subb-an in notorious clubs such as DC10 and fabric. With excitement building for this stunning EP, it's only a matter of time before wAFF is recognised as incredibly talented and globally admired.
Fuzzy and raw on the edges, title track 'Jo Johnson' steams in with a heavy rolling bass enhanced with the seriously sharp kick and hushed seductive whispers. Erratic and prominent percussion plays to full effect on the dance floor, creating rapid build and bubbling energy, while added vocals creep in for a real flavour of jacking house. Escalating into a full-fledged affair of Balearic vocal harmony over the tough beats and solid groove, there is no doubt this dance floor bomb will lead the soundtrack to the summer.
Taking it deeper 'Jeyda' beats with a powerful force fusing metallic keys and hypnotic sweeps of melodic chords that add emotion and drama. Keeping wAFF's trademark sharp kick, the track progresses with contrasting alluring whispers and dreamy layers.
Rounding off this highly accomplished EP is the techier of the selection, 'Rainbows'. Soaring spacey synths, subtle shakes, pacey percussive passages and an epic melodic break down make this trippy late night number one to remember.

new pup, supported from the usual suspects.....

Excellent new rework of Chaka Khan 'I'm Every Woman'
