Pitchben in full effect again. After the massive success of the album and - Stand Up' remixes, which went top 10 at Beatport, and was seen in dozens of DJ playlists, here comes the second remix package of Munich's true disco entrepreneur. Alexander Maier's remix is perhaps one of the best remixes we can offer in the first half of 2012, already recommended as remix of the year by Penner & Muder (Mood Music). The whole Compost team love this remix, too! Ideosyncratic slinky deep house at it's best! Alexander Maier (DJ Allstar) has releases on Buzzin Fly, Moodmusic, BlueFin, Exun or Criminal Records, or remixes made for Mugwump, Ben Watt, Kruse & Nürnberg, Martin Eyerer and others.

Shit Robot returns with his first new material since the release of his debut long-player, 'From The Cradle To The Rave'. After spending much of 2010 and 2011 touring the globe with his live show - including a string of dates opening/performing with LCD Soundsystem during their final shows in NYC - the rebooted Robot is back with 'The Green Machine'.

The first result of his Stuttgart/New York studio adventures is a double-header of dancefloor jams, 'Teenage Bass' b/w 'Space Race', which is released on vinyl and digital on DFA on May 21 2012. It's the first in a series of releases called 'The Green Machine', which will culminate in an album early next year.

Lead cut 'Teenage Bass' rides a rude EBM bassline and rave alert sirens, before expanding further with key changing chords and a defining arpeggiator. The hypnotic 'Space Race' is a distant relative of 2007's 'Chasm' - a meandering, melodic, star-gazing Robo-techno workout

The first tracks taken from Simian Mobile Disco's forthcoming third album, 'Seraphim' sees the band in playfully experimental form, creating a spatial, spaced out anthem drenched in sun-kissed euphoria. 'Your Love Ain't Fair' is a slice of deep, synthdriven techno, with more than a hint of the classic Motor City sound.

We could not be more excited to welcome back to the camp, the beautiful, amazingly talented Tamara Wellons. Along side her again on this journey at the helm is one of our favorite producers Anto Vitale that co writes and produces this project.

The 2 Bears debut album Be Strong has been a revelation. The hirsute duo made up of Joe Goddard of Hot Chip & Raf Rundell aka the Raf Daddy have made a record that has touched people from many a different musical and cultural background.

Their roots, of course lay in House music and it's that genre that essentially defines The 2 Bears. So, brace yourself for four tantalizing mixes of one of The 2 Bears' finest house cuts Take A Look Around.

The 2 Bears Vs House Of House opens the 12'. Raf & Joe teamed up with Liv & Saheer to produce one of the tightest reworks the bears have seen. Fellow House moguls The Wild Geese supply a techy, psychedelic rehash accompanied by a more dancefloor centric dub! Last, but certainly not least Caze Nove supply a straight up, four to the floor house remix.

The 2 Bears have a busy summer ahead, filled with festivals, Ibiza dates and UK shows. Joe, being the busiest man in pop music will also be touring with Hot Chip and promoting the bands fifth album, which will be released in the summer. 2012, the year of the bear!

Toolroom presents 'Toolroom Records Miami 2012', the essential soundtrack to the biggest highlight in the dance music calendar, the Miami Winter Music Conference, with a selection unleashed in 2 vinyl samplers.

'Toolroom Records Miami 2012 Sampler 2' has been selected for the house purist, with Luigi Rocca & Manuel De La Mare's chart smashing 'Opa-Locka', Federico Scavo 'IOS', the techier Koen Groeneveld 'Slot' and Sebastien Leger's 'Grey Sky and Yellow' completes the package.

Two more live jams mixed canned and pressed. Wbeeza has been hassled wherever he goes to release these.

From the tropics comes Whiskey Disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators. It's loosely connected to Sleazy McQueen and his assorted cohorts.

Having opened Say Ahh! proceedings in typically bumping fashion with Manchester duo Si'Ke DJs, MK and Scottie Deep call on an equally talented producer from the same area for the second release on the label. Angus Jefford has been making all the right noises with digital releases for Lost My Dog and Kaluki Musik, and to have his first vinyl release on a label run by two certified legends of US house music is nothing less than an honour. Jeffords passion for vintage strains of Mid West rhythms is apparent as soon as those strings hit in the opening track "Bumpin'" whilst the accompanying Something After mix and flipside bumper "The Culture" demonstrates this producer's skill for immediately gratifying drum programming. With both Scottie Deep and MK set to grace Say Ahh! with their own productions, it's clear the label is set for a blessed year.

On this next vinyl edition from Flapjack Records, we take a minute to recognize a time in U.S. history when alcohol was made illegal. This time was called prohibition and was a very sad time for casual drinkers, but an amazingly profitable time for bootleggers and underground party goers.

What's this tune' is a question DJs are asked frequently, though very rarely by each other. 'Amame' has been floating around a very select DJ circle on limited vinyl pressing for some four months, and the question has evolved to 'how can I get hold of this tune'

'Amame' is a Murk production from Oscar G and Ralph Falcon under the guise of Intruder. Any Murk production is a rare thing, and a record of this quality and breadth of appeal is perhaps even rarer.

Effortlessly straddling the often tricky to navigate border between house and techno, it features one of the most hypnotically memorable vocals of the year courtesy of Jei. Already being championed by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Seth Troxler and even Ricardo Villalobos has ensured that all those loitering around the booths of DC10's closing party and Fabric's birthday were enquiring of its story. Now the story can begin to be told...

The first of two releases sees Dyed Soundorom and Luke Solomon producing excellent remixes to accompany the extended original.
