With a hotbed of releases on the likes of DFTD and Toolroom ILLYUS & BARRIENTOS are one of the most exciting duos to breakout of Glasgow's underground scene. Now teaming up with the hottest imprint in House music, MOTHER RECORDINGS, the duo makes their debut on the record label with a floor stomping two tracker.
Igniting the dancefloor with "Red', the duo builds immediate intensity through a chunky house groove, warbling bassline and official vocal clearance of Tweet feat. Missy Elliott - "Oooops (Oh My)". Sweet harmonious chord sequences slowly enter and prepare the stage for round two as they deliver one last thunderous strike.
In "Together", the duo drop their signature slamming house groove around a set of smooth chordal progressions. "Together' features the beautiful voice of GEORGIA CECILLE, her deep and soulful vocals burst into life and effortlessly takes the track and you away.

Berlin's number one label for party starting, rule breaking house music is MOTHER RECORDINGS and they are back with another huge tune, this time from label bossman NHAN SOLO. He has already had a big tune with Robert Owens this year and continues to serve up fresh sounds that are high impact and essential. Now he does so again with his excellent latest effort.
- Akira" is a tense, energetic cut with huge vocal samples exploding over big, bouncing drums. The track bursts with percussive energy and has robust synths adding colour. It's a dynamite track that is sure to blow up the floor exactly as Mother likes it.

We come back with a fresh single “Nowhere In Milano” by Dumming Dum featuring Rush Midnight. The 21st release in the label catalogue brings the original composition together with three remixes from Alex Schaufel, Rafael Cerato and Justin Cholewski.
Dumming Dum together with Rush Midnight has become the members of the Runemark family with their debut “Three Pills Into A Fist”.
This time the tasty original “Nowhere In Milano” created by Dumming Dum and Rush Midnight maintains deep and cozy characteristics yet also keeps it groovy and tight for the dance floors.
Amazing and full of energy remix from Alex Shaufel delivers the great feeling of togetherness blurring the boundaries between Nu Disco and energetic House music.
Rafael Cerato’s remix grabs it from the start. Uplifting, powerful and charismatic. Acidic and aggressive bass line, confident beats and massive synths pushes the levels of House and Techno.
The last but not least remix in the package comes from Justin Cholewski. Raw, unstoppable with a taste of trippiness is the signature of Justin. Technological and machinery resound overlayed with creamy vocals from Rush Midnight fulfills the whole release.

Full Pupp is 15 years old and we’re marking the occasion by inviting old and new friends to contribute a track each. Henning Severud aka Telephones returns to Full Pupp with this beast of a track. Marius Våreid contributes with this lovely ditty that fell between the cracks some years ago. In preparation of a promised forthcoming album Christian does what Christian does best - four on the floor. Norwegian techno’s grand old man Per Martinsen most likely recorded his parts during the northern norwegian summer. The shutters couldn’t keep the sunlight out.

This is the new Toy Tonics EP… and we going straight to the 1980ies.. or is it already the 90ies? Anyway. One of our buddies called it: Loopy dream house meets synth-heavy disco! And this could fit. Its definitely coming out of the very surreal world of Magou.
But who is MAGOU?
Can you keep a secret? Ha! No, you can’t.
The producer behind this record is very well known in the contemporary disco scene, but this project is so fresh it also needed a fresh name like all things on Toy Tonics. It’s all about the music. Get the record and savour the mystery.
And in case u discover the name behind Magou.. because u know his vibe.. let Toy Tonics know.. u might get a prize!

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of signing your first release with a record label. The combination of pride, anxiety and anticipation is almost unbearable. In the end, you get to hold your own record in your hands and realize this could be the start of something beautiful. In this case, it’s newcomers Makèz who get amped up for this with their debut release on Heist.
Makèz (formed by Jan-Willem Mulder and Kees van ‘t Klooster) are a duo from Amsterdam, where they both studied music production and sound design. Apart from DJ’ing under various aliases, they’ve also been organizing their own successful intimate party series “Peak Mystique” and that’s where we got to meet them. It was hard not to get infected by their musical enthusiasm and after a few listening sessions and some help of Fouk’s Daniel Leseman & Hans Peeman for the final mix-down, we were all really happy with the music they produced for Heist.
Their ‘Different Planets’ EP sees the duo navigate between disco flavored house, dreamy electronics and old school Chicago influences. The remix is by none other than Belfast based DJ and founder of Body Fusion: Bobby Analog.

Homemade sound waves: this is what the first release of the new label Son d'Étroit sounds like. The label founder, Boran Ece made the premiere a matter close to his heart and shows his performance side with this track. A skillfully created chaos has arisen that presents and unites precisely chosen elements. It's food for the dancers in the underground. Rough, pure, minimal with an organic touch but still harmonious. This is neverending house music in its own way.
Hannes Bieger, berlin-based engineer of deep melodic notes honors the first release SDE001 with an "analogue origin" remix.

Detroit Swindle follow up last year’s soulful highlight ‘The life behind things’ with some impeccable disco-funk on steroids: the Coffee in the Morning EP featuring Jitwam. The ep features 2 originals, a dub mix and a stunning extended remix by Norwegian disco don Prins Thomas.
For Coffee in the morning, Detroit Swindle team up with India-via-London-to-NYC vocalist Jitwam, whose recent album Honeycomb on Tartelet and his live collaboration with Kamaal Williams have shown the world just how talented he really is.
Coffee in the morning is more than anything a funk fueled disco bomb. The energy is set by a rolling bassline with a live touch (thanks to Xander Vrienten) and percussion courtesy of their go-to-percussion-guy: Mauskovic Dance Band member Chris Bruining. The track bursts into action once Jitwam’s vocals come in. His purple colored vocals push through with a full-on slapback delay, which adds nicely to the vintage vibe of the track.
The lyrics are fun in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way and deal with life’s more pressing matters like all the things you can have alongside your
coffee. You could argue that this track is not really about coffee, but something far more perverse, but that’s up to you decide. Back on topic: The track takes a sharp jazzy turn once the saxophone is introduced (played by UK bred, Amsterdam based jazz dude Finn Peters), which moves nicely between catchy riffs and completely berserk jazz-isms. Its the full on original that works best for us, but if you’re not really into coffee –or vocals for that matter- there’s a more straightforward dub mix as well that steers away from all the breakfast related insinuations.
The a-side also holds the second collaboration, which moves into NY garage territory. Shuffling 909 percussion, live shakers and snares set the vibe along with Jitwam’s vocals directing you to ‘Move out the way!’. The track is bumping, the bassline is thumping and the crowd could very well be … (yes, it rhymes). The energy pitches up a notch once the synth hits come in and it flows up and down nicely into a section where strings,
Rhodes and cowbells take over into the breakdown. That’s where you get a moment to catch your breath, just before the full track comes back into action again. If it weren’t for Corona, we’d see this funky house tune played at beach parties, rooftops, intimate clubs and house-head-gatherings across the world for sure.
On the B-side, its Prins Thomas who takes you on a 10 minute long Scandi-disco trip with live drums and Thomas himself funkin’ on the bass. He makes perfect use of the dreamy elements of Coffee in the morning, making his version an intimate and provocative dubby disco burner. If the energy of the original is too much, this version might just be perfect for you.
This is a special piece of music for us that we’ve worked on for a long time and we’re really happy to finally share it with you. Let’s hope we all get a chance to play the music out loud to more people than just your neighbors and your cat.
Yours Sincerely,
Lars & Maarten

Originally released back in 2006 on Defected, Copyright’s ‘He Is’ remains a beloved dancefloor anthem to this day. The record, which saw the duo return to the US Garage sound that propelled them into clubber’s consciousness at the dawn of the millennium, features a praising vocal from Song Williamson, with charged up keys and rounded groove that gave it its euphoric quality. Now, 14 years after it was first released, DFTD delivers a special 12” remix package, featuring two brand new mixes as well as a classic. Opening the A-Side mysterious Detroit collective Scan 7 supply their uplifting mix, as a pumping bassline and funk-laden instrumentals provide a joyous backdrop to Song Williamson’s rejoicing vocal. Ferrer & Sydenham’s 2006 remix of the track follows, an anthem in its own right. On the flip, Italian powerhouse duo Alaia & Gallo deliver their mix, building on the exhilarating qualities of the original with surging kicks and a punchy beat. The B-Side is closed out with two essential DJ tools; Alaia & Gallo’s thundering Dub and then Ferrer & Sydenham Inc Accapella.

Kassian are back on Heist with a follow up to their debut release ‘The Premise’ from 2018. Their new ‘8th Movement’ EP showcases their knack for a tight dance floor groove and is another great example of their well-groomed electronic funk. The EP features 3 originals and a Leo Pol remix. The Kassian boys have worked like maniacs to build their profile since their debut in 2018. Their debut title track ‘The Premise’ was nominated track of the year by Gilles Peterson, and their track ‘Bad Habit’ has been a staple in DJ sets from us and many others. Meanwhile, they’ve had releases on ‘Phonica White’, ‘Groovence’ and started their own label ‘Kassian Versions’ with some heavy edits. They also started a radio show on ‘Balamii’, instantly becoming one of the station’s favorite shows and they’ve worked on charity compilations for Covid19 and the United Nations Women’s charity, while still finding the time to deliver a seriously cool new record on Heist. Apollo is built around a bumpin’ disco bassline, hazy stabs, vocal chops and a deceptively simple but oh- so-catchy lead loop. The track also features some nifty keys and percussion by Thomas Arroyo, who produces afro-inspired house under the name Laroye and has really succeeded in giving the track an added layer of warmth and expression. This track has everything you need for a solid party anthem: A solid beat, a catchy bassline and just the right amount of chops, fills and vocals. The title track takes a deeper turn, with some lovely Motor City inspired chords, rolling drums and their soon-to-be signature surprise move of a driving acid line. A hit of a ‘dubby’ piano and a vocal chant both move in and out and of the forefront, adding some really nice layers to the heads down vibe of the track.

This time we give you an Apparel Wax bottle opener while from the cover you can get a panel to play battleship, with the hope of making these complex days a little lighter and more playful.
The eighth chapter of the Apparel Wax saga brings with it, as always, a multitude of sounds and suggestions. The masked producer always manages to renew himself, bringing something new and special to each record but always remaining faithful to his musical line. APLWAX008 will be released in January and consists of four tracks: the first is a track with a very marked dynamics and is characterized by a solid rhythm section, a bass line that recalls the UK garage, vocal samples and a beautiful harmonic evolution produced by evolving chords. The second track, A2, winks at Jazz and Soul with a production rich in rhythmic virtuosity, keyboard solos and an almost hypnotic vocal loop while the second side starts with B1, which takes us back to an imaginary dancefloor with a powerful beat and airy disco chords. The EP closes with B2 that softens the tones giving a more intimate, classy and deep end, with references to Funk and R&B. In short, an EP that touches many genres while remaining compact as a whole. Another small masterpiece of production and music selection by Apparel Wax. Out in January 2021, to warm up your winter.

Unsung and hard to find material from recondite UK producer Lemmon Grass aka Scott Featherstone. Whilst the B-side collects and re-releases 2 tracks from the 1993 'One O Them' record (originally released on the British House label Triumph Records) the A-side digs through Scott's unreleased demos from the same time period and proudly reintroduces them into the flow of 2020. All the tracks are top notch and range from deftly programmed 808 beat tools to seriously uplifting 4/4 and showcase the talents of a producer that obviously has pure house music energy running through his veins.

Bis Repetita, the retour of «doigté » - Counting on the fingers leads us to the « Index », displaying the non exhaustive list of sonic bits used on twenty years of Pepe’s phonograms. To Dance or not to Dance that is probably not the question, but definitely the answer to the A Side. Vice Versa, the B side whispers « Ur Host »: an army of electronic arpeggios welcoming an atmospheric cure for after hours, introducing « Pitcher » not the carnivorous plant but the friendly musical path to the strike zone; « Danske*Mansus », a refreshing retro futuristic techno-ball, housing ardent grooves and cold sweats. MEET THE CHOIR THAT HOUSE BUILT
The late great Frankie Knuckles once called house music: “church for people that have fallen from grace.” Anyone who has been caught up in the rapture of a true house classic can testify to its power to unify and uplift.
HGC is an electrifying House meets Gospel experience that never fails to get audiences clapping, dancing and singing along. HGC shows bring together a group of outstanding singers, a full house band and DJ, creating an effortless live fusion of the biggest house and gospel tunes that never fail to raise the roof!
House Gospel Choir’s magic is their ear for production, thanks to the songwriters, producers, vocal arrangers and selectors who make up the collective. The choir have been bubbling away in studios across London, working with a roll call of iconic dance music producers, from global house icons Todd Terry, DJ Spen, Grammy Award winner Alex Metric, to Toddla T and UK gospel icon Nicky Brown. Their monthly public Mass Choir open rehearsal, at Rich Mix in East London, has featured guest appearances from house and techno icon The Black Madonna, and electro pop singer Georgia.

Luca Lozano spent the 2020 lockdown sharpening his tools, using the time off from traveling and DJing to re-center and re-vise. As the pace of life slowed, so did the BPMs and the Klasse Wrecks boss sought refuge in the distraction that the studio and the creative practice can offer. 'Lozano 2.0' may sound like the producer shifting down a gear, but probably only with the goal of preserving his energy until the world is ready to spin again.

Self Defence returns in full effect with New Yorks one and only DJ Duke's (of Sex Trax / Power Music Fame) "Summer Madness EP". Dj Duke had retired from the music front for a while, after he had about 300 records emerged after his "Blow Your Whistle" blew up in 1993 and during the past few years.

We are delighted and honoured to welcome the mighty Dwayne Jensen to the Landed Records imprint.
Known as 'The Born Entertainer', Dwayne Jensen is one of the key artists who helped to shape the Detroit House sound and the new evolution of music we now call Techno.
A self-taught DJ, musician, producer and writer, the Detroit-born native started off as a Jazz drummer & percussionist before gaining respect worldwide as one of the true Detroit superstars.
We are also delighted that Geoff Pesche from Abbey Road Studios is back on the mastering and has worked his alchemy on the release.
A1: Ignition - Original Mix: Dwayne starts this timeless EP with a powerful and switched-on Deep Detroit number, rich with filtered pads and trademark drum sounds straight out of the 909.
A solid piece of modern House, this relentless, driving classic takes no prisoners.
B1: Deep Dive Dub - Original Mix: Dwayne really shows us what underground House music is all about with this moody, stirring number. Jazzy keys and funky bassline conspire with raw and tight percussion to produce a track which is off the fathom charts. A personal favourite of Mr Jensen's, this is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser guaranteed to warm up any dance floor.
B2: My People - Disco Nights Mix: Finishing the EP off with a bang, we are over-the-moon to be re-releasing the all-time classic, 'My People'. Originally released five years ago on a 12" compilation album, which only ever
made a small run, it's high time this track was given a full release. Fun, infectious and uplifting, if this isn't the track to get a party started, I don't know what is.
This solid EP mixes a delicious slice of past and present, and is a rare record not to be missed. Play it loud!

You know Munk probably from the songs he did with James Murphy, Peaches, Asia Argento or one of many other indie disco tracks he released on his former label Gomma. Gomma now is sleeping and since Mathias Munk Modica started the Toy Tonics label with his friends Manu Kim & Mo Butschek he hasn’t released many things under that name. Instead has been playing keyboards, bass and drums on many tracks of other artists on the TT label. And of course has been building up the TT imprint from his new home in Berlin.
Now it’s summer and it felt right to put out a few balearic remixes reworks of Munk tracks. Beach party and daytime disco vibe. So here u get reworks of Munk’s friends Severino from Horse Meat Disco, Lauer, and Kai Alce from Detroit. Right for this summer.

Mother Recordings continues to dominate the contemporary house landscape with a new one from NiCe7 that packs two hefty punches and a drum tool. DJ and production outfit NiCe7 are Italy-based Nicola Daniele and Cesare Marocco and they have been making big tunes on the likes of Suara, Noir Music, Cr2 and more.
First up, Groove Key is a big vocal tune that builds suspense on chunky drums. When the impassioned vocal breaks out, and the bass line joins the party, the club is sure to blow up.
Go Back is a slow burner that will have the floor in raptures. Disco house loops, funky bass riffs and lush claps all build and build to a frantic peak. After the cosmic breakdown the tune drops and makes a huge impact. These are three tasteful house bombs once more from Mother Recordings and the dope NiCe7 boys.

Listen to this if you want to hear last year's best tracks on Heist by Detroit Swindle, Alma Negra, Fouk, Nachtbraker, Nebraska and Parker Madicine in 1 big remix package. Release info: Round up part IV marks the end of year 4 of Heist Recordings and it might be our most varied release yet with some serious Afro funk from Switzerland, electronic soul from Italy, proper old school deep house from the UK and some Dutch guys adding a bit of swing to the package. For those unfamiliar with our annual concept release: The Round Up is a release where each artist that has released this year gets remixed by another Heist artist from that same year. We put all the names in a big hat, and draw straws. The result: 6 different remixes from 6 of the most intriguing original tracks of the year, in a deluxe 180 gram 2x12 pack. Fouk had the honor to rework one of the most euphoric tracks ever to come out on Heist and certainly one of Nachtbraker's most party-oriented tracks ever: Hamdi. They flipped the original into a rhodesy afro-tinged jam filled with lovely bleeps and fx and some great work on the keys. The DS remix of Parker Madicine's Heartbreaker is just as dreamy as it is driving, making full use of their synth-cave with an ever-evolving Moog bassline and some great pads on the Arp Odyssey. Alma Negra's Blacksoul remix of Nebraska's Big Plate Chicken takes the full B side and rightly so. The African drums, chants and looped sampling the original's bleeps give a great groove, but the track really comes alive when the bassline kicks in. The second 12 gives room for Nachtbraker's Swing mix of Can't Hold it, where he lets loose a trippy, sample heavy track with a dustier ambience than your grandmother's living room. Turn it over and you'll find Parker Madicine jazzing up Afrorleans and Nebraska throwing in a classic deep house touch on his remix for Fouk.

Deep down in the Sheffield underground lies the lair of DJ Steve, a subterranean studio fizzing with electricity. The 'Mainline' EP collects together otherwise forgotten demos from an unknown producer who reveals a deft talent for authentically made rave music. Clattering breakbeats and diva vocals sliced up within an inch of their lives sit next to sophisticated bleep 'n' bass and glassy-eyed pads. The inspiration of the Yorkshire dance music legacy and warehouse culture are obvious and leave the listener with only one question....when can I hear more?

ome killer cuts on this new special edition Klasse Wrecks release!! Long time friends Klasse Wrecks and Pelvis come together and release a joint venture. The Wrecks boys and Australian multi-disciplinary fashion/music/design-house had been orbiting each other for years with similar styles and taste (see Luca Lozano's 'King Blade EP' as proof). It only took the well timed and serendipitous sending of demos from mutual friend Roza Terenzi to seal the deal and concept of the split release and thus KWXPR001 was born. The 4 tracker is typical of both labels direction and even more so the signature style of Terenzi's bleepy and sharp-as-a-knife productions. The two original tracks 'Metal Glo' and 'Allstarz' are representative of Roza's mutant production style, taking in electro, breaks and futuristic atmospheres and show off the flair and confidence of the rising star from Perth.

The first trees trembled with constant little oscillations, junctions -disjunctions. A red light started blinking, half-buried in the snow. Deep in the Siberian forest, in the middle of the night, a girl with a Morse key, was running a shortwave transmitter off a diesel generator, sending messages toward the ionosphere.
Her hands moved closer together, without touching. The pulsations became almost innumerable, incredibly elongated, hollowed out in the middle, like little pinnacles, but she knew that someone, thousands of miles away, would decipher her message. In a dimly lit hotel room, in a subterranean vault, he would build the bridges, channel the frequencies. Forming, unforming, and re-forming the lines, the waves, and the words."

Here comes the second Toy Tonics EP by Joel Holmes & Cody Currie.
The new Berlin based duo that works on a fresh musical style that combines Jazz, broken beats, Soul and NY House.
Joel, the American jazz pianist, is a former member of Roy Hargrove’s Grammy winning Jazz-Hop band and member of Carl Craig’s synthesizer ensemble. Joel is living in Berlin now, where he is involved in the new vibrant Neo-Jazz scene. (Yes! Berlin used to be a Techno city, but it’s becoming a Jazz town now!)
In Berlin Joel throws monthly jam sessions (the Urban Base Jam) where the creme de la creme of Berlins ex-pad jazz musicians meets up. Crazy things can happen here. Like when Erykah Badu played Berlin in 2019 and her complete band came to jam at Joel’s session after their gig.
Joel teamed up with Cody Currie: 24 year old London born talent, who already made waves in the house scene. Cody is known as a stylized producer, with a unique recognisable sound. Much of his craft was homed in studying a bachelors in music in London. His most known work by now might be a jazzy reinvention of ‘Devils Shoestring’ with over half a million plays on SC and YT. With his new works Cody is coming away from sampling, working only with live instrumentation.
Joel & Cody both live in Berlin now where they met Toy Tonics head honcho Mathias „Kapote“ Modica. And when they met there was a vibe instantly. All three have their roots in jazz music and share similar ideas about how dance-music should evolve in 2020

The world may have come to a halt these days. However, Todh Teri & his international bunch of merry pranksters never stop digging the rich Indian cinema music back catalogue. With Deep In India Volume 7, they have emerged & presented their best work for a globally keen audience.
The first on this record - Sampadan 22 - is an italo cut, reminiscing the glittery disco divas of the 80s & beyond. The disco fever continues with Sampadan 23 where brand new disco prankster La Jawab reworks the quintessential Indian cinema classic track - with an ever cascading French touch.
Todh Teri slows down the platter with Sampadan 24, and turns up the acid on a deeper interpolation of a 90s Bollywood chartbuster. And finally with Sampadan 25, Deep in India repeat offender Kone Kone flips nostalgic Indian dreams into head nodding boom bap beats.
Brand new music for a brand new world - waiting to fill your bodies, minds & soul - with that funky goodness that you need.

MOTHER RECORDINGS is one of the most reliable big hitting labels in the game and now they’re back with a new bomb EP from SHAF HUSE - „Biday“.
With heavy support from the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Marco Carola, Milan based producer/DJ Shaf Huse has really made his mark on the likes of Avotre, Roush, Sola and more. Here working with „Biday“ he cooks up another storm.
The title track has shooting laser synths and airy house loops sucking you in, while a snaking bass line roams about down low. It’s brisk, full of energy and designed to sweep up the floor and take it to the next level. Add in yelling vocals, edgy drum fills and explosive chords and the whole thing is supersized and sure to explode in the clubs.
Reign Of Tech is another bomb destined to get feet moving on the floor, with a chugging baseline and slick vocals.

Our Kiwi brother DILBY was on fire in 2018. He delivered 2 EP's on MOTHER RECORDINGS and managed to secure back to back Top 10 hits with each release. Well, if this new EP is any indication, 2019 is going to be even bigger!
Up first is „Rio Grande“. A club destroying dance floor heater that features DILBY ́s signature drum filled tribalism on top of a punchy, grooving sub bass. Of course it wouldn't be a DILBY jam without a catchy sing-along vocal which brings even more ethnic flavour to this hedonistic afro workout!
On the flip we are treated to an energetic house bomb titled „Keep On Dancing“. This is a powerful club record which gives off a distinct late 90's vibe with it's filtered disco groove and tough analog drum programming. A deep, warm bass line rolls heavily across the low frequency as loopy vocal hooks and crunchy vocal shots keep the dance floor locked in as the energy erupts in the break.

Simon Hinter – another gem? We think so! This german music freak has been doing music for many years with some splendid releases on smaller labels like Phil Holland plus being picked for on Osunlade mix CD, but it just recently got bigger with his release on the ever hot Freerange label. Why we like his sound? It’s raw and it got funk! Filtered loops, chunky basslines, catchy melodies? For sure! All 3 orignal tracks are pure Simon Hinter stylee and to give you the extra bonus, Wolf and Quintessentials buddy KRL gets back in action with a fab remix. Yes, we all wanna make love!

Empty Editions presents the debut 12” from mysterious electronic outfit Taibach. Conceptualized by ABCs, Taibach has emerged from the shadows as a blunted East-Asian historical consciousness failing to return home after becoming a stranger to itself. With a nom de guerre which references both the infamous Slovenian proto-industrial group Laibach and their mythologized homeland of Taiwan, Taibach restages the classic thematics and aesthetic strategies of industrial music for a contemporary moment in which shifting balances of power between east and west herald new hegemonies and exhume old grievances. Their martial approach to electronics follows in a brood of decidedly cryptic underground music: drawing on the sound of classic industrial bands, early 90s techno, and more recent developments at the intersection of noise and rhythmic music. Conditions of escalating ethno-nationalism, imperialist ambition and decay, and historical revisionism within the Sinosphere provide the backdrop for the band’s grimly expansive theatrics, which hint at the possibility of ideological resistance through tactical sign play and subversive affirmation. Acting as a necessary corrective to a commercially bloated and self-satisfied Asian cultural sphere, Taibach embraces futile Taiwan-based nationalism by celebrating the seldom-criticized reactionary tendencies of the region as a document of its history and its current political impasses.
Taibach’s debut LP contains a rawness and intensity that excels in club contexts, spilling over into more varied strands of experimental and underground music. While the music itself is primed for big room sound systems, the omnivorous use of guitar, effects pedals, and sampling techniques alongside stalwart drum programming also allow for more intimate listening—soundtracking both club depravity and solitary walks in equal measure. The kosmische proto-electro bite of Side A opener “Spicy Test” furnishes a terse blueprint for Taibach’s aural vocabulary: skeletal drums brought deliberately into the red provide a burnt, metallic underpinning to the record’s five tracks. Across the LP, rhythm is complemented by asymmetric washes of tape hiss, feedback, and filtered voices which ride alongside the drum patterns. Tracks “You Are Shit!” and “Enemy Inside” carve out wide expanses for filtered chords and sequenced synths to reflect against uncoiling rhythms. Astute listeners will discern a long engagement with UK, European, and US dance music from the 1990s up to the present in their inspired ability to set the drum machine against a distinctly East Asian industrial backdrop—channeling the sound of a dystopic future of armed conflicts and ground invasions where the hastily built edifices of Confucian capitalism resurface as detention centers and fallout shelters. The LP culminates in “Rocket (Live),” an opus of live sound system music that carries with it the hot heat of a subterranean, neon-lit industrial catacomb filled with vampiric club-goers. As guitar noise billows out over a militant rhythm that recalls everything from darkwave to Container (or Alan Vega & Martin Rev’s early Suicide records) the track builds into an assailing polyrhythm that showcases a dancefloor severity at the height of their transportive powers.
Inside the sleeve is a photocopied insert of a watercolor painting depicting an anonymous man hanging from a streetlamp. A sign with the Chinese characters 漢奸 (“traitor”) hangs around his neck. Taipei 101 Tower looms in the distance, once the tallest building in the world—a conspicuous symbol of Taiwan’s American-style capitalist power—now shrouded in the fog of war. Absorbing the anxiety of these times, Taibach’s debut provides an anxious soundtrack looking for the old military bunkers underneath spreading skyscrapers and machines chorusing the rising tides of global unrest.

Rotterdam based 25 Places are back on Dirt Crew with a bang! since their "Love More" release in 2015 the boys have been hard at work and have just released an EP for Chez Damier on his "Prescription Records" sub label "Balance". The bounce begins with "Party In The Hills" hosting a huge kick, loopy Rhodes, squelching bass, Ragga flavoured vocal and squeaky lead, it's straight up good times right from the get go. An infectious groove on this one! "Closing Title Song" heads into deep soaring territory, it's forward house beat and pulsing synth lead intertwine with loose tropical percussion and a rhapsodic horn hook. On the flip we have Laurence Guy who does not really need an introduction anymore, the man has been all over the place since this years releases on "Cin Cin", "Outplay" and the imminent "Church" where he dropped two big EP's "Bamboo" and "Kojak". Here he takes on the soulful deep Chicago House of 25 Places and turns it into a 90's breakbeat acid galore of ecstasy tingled UK House. 25 Places wrap up the rave session with "Backyard Stories", a raw and bouncing, bass face inducing jam. Uplifting and dirty in one stroke, its thumping kick and feverous melodies make it impossible not to move.

“His music defies predictable electronic pigeonholing” – VICE French-Canadian producer and live act Christophe Dubé, aka CRi, is a dance music star in the making. Following in the footsteps of fellow Montréalers Jacques Greene and Kaytranada, CRi has risen through the city’s bubbling scene in recent years and now reveals his debut album ‘Juvenile’. A self-taught college dropout, CRi caught the attention of tastemaker press with early single ‘Rush’ and his 'Someone Else' EP. 'Rush', accompanied by an award-nominated music video, and 'Someone Else' picked up a nomination for Electronic Release of The Year at the 2018 Juno Awards (Canada’s equivalent to The Grammy’s). “I’m just a pizza delivery guy that said fuck it…” CRi’s sound blurs light, dream-like melodies with textured production - capturing the energy of the dancefloor, and the nostalgia of the morning after. Christophe draws inspiration from his musical heroes Moby, St Germain and Daniel Bélanger (who appears on the album), along with more contemporary influences ranging from Caribou and Dark Sky to Jacques Greene and Actress.

Almost 10 years already….Just a short moment away from its tenth anniversary, the cutting-edge Label La Belle Records unveils the second part of its One Night Stands collection.
If the first part portrayed very warm, tropical tones, this second opus feels more like the end of a party or the morning after, with a selection of tracks at a crossroad between slo-mo, synth-pop, lo-fi, ethnic groove and nu-disco like few others have done before.
This is something you've never heard before! All thanks to the insatiable digging from the master curator and co-founder of the label, Antoine Harispuru aka Golden Bug.
From Rome to Bruxelles via Paris and Vilnius, this second edition hits hard with names like Get A Room!, Rodion, Ellis Island (a world collaboration between the Italians Bawrut and Hot Spell), Rodion, Front de Cadeaux, Claap! and some other electronic gems.

Liam Doc AKA Liam Docherty is next up on Denis Sulta’s Sulta Selects Silver Service label.
Liam grew up in London before moving back to the family hometown of Glasgow at 14. Growing up, his schooling in house and techno was on the floor of the Sub Club’s legendary Saturday night session with residents Harri & Domenic.
After he started producing house and techno, his edit “Voices of East Harlem” caught Sulta’s attention, who championed it in his sets to awesome effect. Liam is the resident at Wednesday house and techno night RARE at Sub Club. He also started his own quarterly warehouse parties in Glasgow, called Cyberfreq. After hours illegal raves at first, after a run in with a Scottish tabloid they went legit and started programming them at Glasgow’s The Berkeley Suite club. In addition to releasing on SSSS, he’s founded his own label Eyeangle Records (releases from Kamus and Lobec) as well as sub-label Roux Records and released on Huntley & Palmers.
‘East Coast Edits’ (coming on 12” and digital) is a collection of ecstatic dance floor filtered edits, sure to give the floor at the Sub Club and beyond a workout.

Welcome to 2018 !!!
We at MOTHER are super excited to welcome back DILBY, our homie from New Zealand who is now based in Berlin, for a banging new EP.
THE PATH is a chunky, driving slab of house that has been tearing up dance floors since it hit our inbox. The beat is constructed of big analog drums fused with ethnic percussion and tribal vocal chops then underpinned by a heavy sub bass. But, the real star of the show here is that flute hook, so catch every time!
Rounding out the EP is KICKIN IT, a funky grooving house weapon that is sure to bring smiles to the face of everyone on the floor! Dilby takes a modern house aesthetic and fuses it with a catchy throwback piano riff and ultra memorable vocal hook to deliver true hands in the air bomb.

Italian duo, Giacomo Godi and Emiliano Nencioni, better known as SUPERNOVA, debut their first MOTHER RECORDINGS release with their latest two-tracker EP, 'The Joy'.
Kicking off with their headline track, 'The Joy' pits together a hard-hitting house beat and walking bassline against a set of dark warbling synth sprays. Here, the duo truly show off their impressive work with the synthesizer, juxtaposing soulful acapella gospel licks with a bundle of morphing synth lines that effortlessly rumble and groan throughout.
Fat kicks, trashy hi's and spacey synths open up 'Reflections', lighting up the dancefloor from the very start. Here, Supernova step it up a notch, flipping their dark range of warbling synth lines into a set of warm and dreamy funk pads that endlessly purr underneath a sturdy bassline. A range of elusive vocal howls and cheeky funk melody licks polish the track off around the edges, intensifying in all the right places to create some satisfying releases.

Cropper has returned to Blah Blah Blah Records to follow up his world wide smash 'Forever'. Since marking BBB's tenth release in 2013 'Forever' has been snapped up by Universal, racked up half a million plays worldwide and played on Radio 1 by Pete Tong. To some such success may seem common place, or not that remarkable, however for artist and label these were very proud moments, not to mention moral boosting confirmations in their personal belief in the music they were presenting. A belief that has brought them back together for one more record. 'Sunlight FT. A.Z' is a hauntingly beautiful record with live double bass, searching strings, Jazz like keys and a whispy yet penetrating vocal all conspiring to dazzle the senses with its thought provoking beauty. Not your typical club record, but we're hoping that shouldn't matter. Following Sunlight is 'Shade' and like the title suggests there is a commonality as much as there is a stark difference between the two. An African spoken word sample sets the tone, as crisp weighty drums groove another 3am curveball straight into your record box. To be heard, not pontificated about with flowery words. Rounding out the package is a remix from the rather enigmatic and elusive Hackman. Hackman takes things down a slightly more linear route as he chops and reorganises the main elements to compliment his own engaging melodic interpretation of the source material.

Volker.live ’s debut and final release
“My Love Will Set You Free” Final release? We see the question mark popping up over your head. Well yes, these four tracks are a time capsule, a historic cache which takes you back to one hot summer of 2019. When this care-free boy band formed and made it their goal to climb up the world’s stages to play an all-hardware live set & have f.u.n. while doing so. This endeavor went swimmingly. Festival gigs were pocketed and crowds intrigued. The stand-out track of their gigs was always “My Love Will Set You Free”, an acid-house stomper with uplifting, yet melancholic vocals from their friend ÆN.
Friends and neighbors were quick to re-interpret the song and the idea of a record took shape.
Lehult’s Lucky Charmz propels the listener into the void by upping the acidity. Closing in on a playtime of 10 minutes, we’re readily giving up our sense for time and space. Whirring drum hits meet feedbacking tape delay while riding the rock solid bass line.
Erobique liked the song so much, he quickly drew up two versions of his own. His “Disko Mix” oozes that saccharine, danceable magic mélange of days past. Warm keys, hand claps, and Aen’s intimate voice are stirred into an exquisite cocktail. You know that Carsten Meyer would never forget the umbrella on top. He’ll keep the cherry though.
The “Black Velvet Mix” closes the curtains for a slow dance. This is personal, it’s just between you and the song. Sub rosa.
In the meantime, Volker.live decided to follow separate paths of their adventure, but everyone agreed to release these songs into the world. May they serve as a reminder of what can be created out of care-free energy that’s driven by a deep connection to music. Please check out their other musical undertakings as Echoel and Goodmemory.live .

The dynamic duo of ROTCIV and Das Komplex are back on Luv Shack Records to finish off what they started with the "Magic Silk #1 EP" in 2019.
Das Komplex' "Jak Mo?na Nie Mówi? O Pesymi?mie" (wich translates to "how can you not speak about pessimism") is boasting with psychedelic effects, polish spoken words and a plethora of funky disco tropes, all cumlinating in a 10 minute super disco jam.
Hot on the heels comes ROTCIV´s remix of Das Komplex' "Silk" from the first Magic Silk EP. The "Transmix" comes with a driving 4tothefloor groove and an italo-esqe synth bassline at the heart of the mix, while still maintaining the pittoresqe atmosphere of the original with layers of heavily mangled effects.
On "Space Explore", ROTCIV constructs a complex slow burner, setting up an eerie atmosphere of digital soundbytes, vocal snippets, ghostly strings and fat synth pads on top of a cosmic disco groove.
Lastly, Das Komplex remixes "Your Highness", adding a classic disco groove with lots of analog

The Jaxx are back. Released for the first time on vinyl, Basement Jaxx 'The Singles' spans everything from the proto punk garage of early hit 'Flylife' to the Motown monster that is 'Good Luck', taking in worldwide smashes like 'Red Alert', 'Where's Your Head At', 'Rendez Vu' and 'Romeo'.
Where most greatest hits albums fall down at least once there can be no argument that this collection delivers the bangers and nothing but.
Basement Jaxx 'The Singles' is both a timely reminder of just how much the Jaxx have turned dance music inside out and the nonchalant ease with which they continue to drop new ever more exciting sub-cultural car crashes on airwaves and dancefloors around the world.

The series 2 of NewYork House Edits. Monchan edited 90's NY Garage House from the legendary record label & Shop "Vinylmania".
“Vinylmania" Owner Charlie Grappone opened the Vinylmania’s doors in 1978. He opened the store with a sparse selection of Rock records
but after crowds from the Paradise Garage started showing up he realized his market was with the house heads. Vinylmania quickly became the goto spot for house in NYC eventually spawning a record label under the same name and it’s legacy began. Sadly Vinylmania closed its doors in 2007 after almost 3 decades of business.

Joakim Cosmo is back with another record crammed with wonky and weird numbers. It's obvious right from the start that Joakim Cosmo has a passion for machines and it seems he's having a jolly good time churning out his own version of Chicago music from them. Fissens lockvral is the kind of track that makes me want to grow a big ol' moustache and join a motorcycle gang of leather freaks. Tough drums are being propelled forward by an even tougher bassline while FX sounds and bleeps are being ignited and thrown into a whirlpool of echoes. Gagarin is pretty close to the Norwegian disco we have danced to so many times but with distinct Chi-town influences. That cool Spanish voice sample that reveals itself in the break makes me think of Ramirez. Brugte Boner is going to set some dancefloors on fire! Perfectly shuffled drum machines with a ba-dom-dom voice bobbing along with them. I think this is what Fettburger refers to as basketball house is Cosmo is keeping it well rejuvenated. Vocoder nonsense is my best kind of nonsense and that is what Sabdoo Chimaa is all about AND then on top of that Joakim is jazzing it out on the keys. WHAT?! Before you've had time to contemplate that Mr Cosmo has already sent you on the next trip. This time to froggy space. How do you like that, huh? Sci-fi synths glide past like shooting stars while you are floating happily in the Milky Way bumping into echoed messages from the final frontier. CAN. NOT. WAIT. TO PLAY. THIS. OUT! / Yours truly, Sahpo Ripasso

The Danse Club label is fast becoming an essential deep house outlet thanks to a solid stream of originals and remixes from artists old and new alike including Cherie Lee, The Burrell Brothers and label bosses Brodanse.
Here, said bosses team up with vocalist Cari Golden and resurgent beatsmiths Groove Armada for a huge new track that has already been road tested in Ibiza and has drawn all the right reactions.
Groove Armada of course are right at the sharp end of the house world once again having sunken themselves back in the underground with many gigs in Ibiza this summer as well as releases on labels like Hypercolour. LA's singersongwriter and vocalist Cari Golden, meanwhile, has long been lending her voice to house cuts from the likes of DJ T and Fur Coat, and here lays down another anthemic line that helps this track stand head and shoulders above the competition.
'Sweat' (Club) is a big bouncy house track with neon synth stabs, raw and thumping kick drums and icy hi hats that all coalesce into a barnstorming peaktime track designed for maximum destruction.
It's simple but effective, economic but efficient in terms of design and keeps your attention locked for seven minutes of inescapable house tension. The deep version is less rigid and regimented, there is more swing in the drums and percussion and a golden glow of warmth radiates from within. The vocal here is also smoother and creamier, making its way into your heart as the waify chords add more layers of sonic richness.
This is one for sundown rather than handsup moments and perfectly encapsulates the forward facing house vibe the Danse Club label embodies.

The new album titled PA System is a collection of house and techno written to serve as a document of the past 18 months. Shaker Plates is back on Vinyl with an upcoming Berlin female Artist called Chroma. Her track "Pain" delivers a Vocal from Berlins female singer Sigrid Elliot. Clapping elements are arranged around this strong Voice and build it up to a club monster.
It´s a big honor that the former member and "Minister of Information" of Underground Resistance from Detroit Alan Oldham aka DJ T-1000 does a remix for this release. Living between Berlin and Detroit, Alan is a mastermind in electronic music and has pitched this track to a strong minimal "Detroit meets Berlin" Version.
The Gunman remix is a more dramatic sub bass story. With snipped parts of the Sigrid Elliot vocals, a volumized organ and FX sounds, Gunman gives you a blast for the dancefloor peak time.
Simon Beeston, a music lover from New Zealand who´s also living in Berlin, does a deep Remix. With drums and a nice sub bass, he´s showing his style.

The club slaying MOTHER RECORDINGS has another mighty new EP up its sleeve here with two big tunes from Spanish titan Piem.
PIEM is a driving force behind the Barcelona scene, curates the MOODs party at W Hotel in London, and releases slick house on Relief, Crosstown Rebels, Superfett Records and plenty of others.
He kicks off here with MESSING Ft. RION S, a playful house tune laden with great vocals from RION S. The grooves swing low and the chords and strings add soul and colour. It's the sort of tune that cannot fail to tempt people to the floor.
LA MADRUGADA is then a churning tech cut with tribal vocal chants and chunky drums all getting you into the beat and keeping you there. This is another winning effort from all involved.
MR102
Our good friend DILBY ́s last solo EP on MOTHER RECORDINGS was huge on all fronts. Dominating charts and streaming as well as being served up by everyone one from Claptone to Boysnoize at the biggest clubs and festivals around the globe. It goes without saying that we are excited for more of the same with his latest dancefloor delivery.
HOLD OUT opens up the EP all guns blazing with a chunky drum groove, a big piano riff and a powerful female vocal. This energetic house anthem is guaranteed to lift the roof off any club!
TEMPERATURE RISING is another house bomb with warm analogue synths and a hooky vocal that builds and builds until the track reaches boiling point. The tough beat and punchy bass is balanced perfectly with the lush warmth to create a truely timeless record.

MOTHER RECORDINGS has built a amazing relationship and great connection to
Latin America. The latest signing from the region is fresh Ecuadorian talent
ORDONEZ, resident of the world famous Lost Beach Club. THE SPELL EP
is definitely one of the biggest releases of 2015 so far, which says a lot as it has been
an amazing year so far!
THE SPELL
Smooth grooving percussion pushes this track along while ORDONEZ weaves in the
melody from a gritty Rhodes organ and adds to the magic with spiracles of electric
piano. But then, the seductive vocals come to the front and the whole track opens up
to become one of the catchiest tunes of the year. The drop after the long break is
just... no words can describe it! House Music all night long, yeeeah!
HOW YOU DOING
Next up is a funky sample-lead house burner. Nice earthy drums and a catchy guitar
riff offer a warm vibe for smiles and laughter on the dance floor. ORDONEZ clearly
has a very creative mind and this is demonstrated here with his intricate and creative
use of sampling and arrangement. Another very strong offering from the newest
member of the Mother Recordings family.
SUPERLOVER - the man who brought us Steam' - one of last year's biggest
tracks on MOTHER RECORDINGS - is back in full force this summer with a
new two-track EP. The Berlin born and based producer has brought us
another solid release that is perfect for the outdoor festival season. The
tracks LOVE FLUTE' and LOVE MACHINE' bring together melodic deep
house and disco for sunny, funky grooves and peaktime pleasure.
LOVE FLUTE' radiates with warm summertime joy to get the floor grooving.
A hypnotic, melodious hook keeps the wave of love rolling. Its positive,
anthem-like character gives it big hit potential.
LOVE MACHINE' has a super catchy guitar riff and funky house beat. The
tension mounts as vocals chime in for an ecstatic embrace of love and
happiness, driving the pumping energy that is infectious from the start.

Club of Jacks come correct with the third and final installment of their RAW EP series - serving up another vinyl 4 tracker of essential House & Garage grooves primed for the dancefloor.
Track 1 'Memories' opens the EP with creamy Rhodes pads leading into a pulsing deep house groove flecked with soulful vocal lines, jazzy piano arps and filtered sax riffs.
The second track 'All I Think About' is a soulful groove built around an emotive vocal hook and chugging analog pads for that end of the night vibe.
On the flip side, 'Pressure Sound' switches style to a bassline roller with vintage reggae vocals, swinging garage drums and dub fx combining into a bouncy party starter.
Finishing off the EP is 'Bug-a-Do', a tough and bumpy hybrid acid-garage-house banger. Filtered synth pads merge with a 303 and M1 piano line - a hands in the air new school / old school workout.
All tracks are produced and mixed by Club of Jacks and made to be played loud wherever you like to jack your body!

Congratulations to NHAN SOLO and MOTHER RECORDINGS on reaching their 100th release.
Time flies when you're having fun! Now is the time to look back at the success of the last years, which have included a couple of overall number one records. The label has enjoyed signing and growing together hand in hand with some of the biggest names in the scene like Mat.Joe, Superlover, De La Swing, Illyus & Barrientos. A label from friends for friends! The tracks have been remixed and edited by Claptone, Purple Disco Machine and Audiojack to name some hightlights.

First comes DANNY HOWARD, BBCR 1 host, tastemaker and English gentleman. He serves a peaktime banger with punchy drums, crisp percussions and melancholic chords. In the special occasion of our 10th birthday we felt that we had to create something really memorable, bringing together in two vinyl some of the most influential artists who took part in the making of our history and some new ones, yet prominent and successful. All of them had a fascinating mission to accomplish honouring the concept of ‘Jazzy’ which is the notion and approach set ten years ago as the fundament of Apparel Music and we can plainly say that they’ve won the challenge, brightly. They produced eight stunning tracks which represent an ideal declination of the requirements you need to enter the AM family. The roster of artists behind this record perfectly represents the international soul of the label and very much speaks for itself, from our head honcho Kisk to ‘The Voice’ Robert Owens, our longtime family members Ivano Tetelepta & Euge`ne Latumeten, the Swedish Salary Boy, the great Tuccillo with his recognisable style, the American Fred P who’s music is the best introduction of his abilities and needs no further presentation, to the youngster Chevals with his bright talent. The final side then is the debut’s side with the iconic Art Of Tones who’s career as a pioneer of dance music speaks for itself and last but not least the marvellous duo Marcel Vogel & Tim Jules, also new to the AM family, who’s baptism fulfils our high expectations. A list of virtuosos worth an All-Star Game! The opening track is ‘Your Face’ by Kisk & the supreme and unrivalled voice of Robert Owens, with a bunch of great musicians who took part in the creative process: the Cuban Gendrickson Mena (trumpet, Saxhorn), Max Lagana` (Bass) and Nate Lotz who recorded some grooves on the drums. In A1 resides the concept of Jazzy; the dialogue between man and machine which is still, in the modern era, the perfect equation to produce music. Starting from some old, dusty samples here’s surely one for the records, fully embodying Kisk’s approach to music production. A2 is ‘Hearme’ by Tuccillo. The Neapolitan born but Spanish adopted is a veteran of the Apparel Music’s family, that’s why we’re so happy to have him leaving his mark once again on a special occasion like this Bday. His track perfectly epitomises his sensuality, profoundness and sensitivity as a producer, being capable of expressing through his music some of the distinctive characteristics that AM aims to communicate. The Deep soul of Fred P comes out in all its strength in his track ‘From The Other’ kicking off B-side. We're delighted to have the American producer on board as his first appearance on AM leaves no doubt about his huge talent as a music maker, while B2 is an Ivano Tetelepta & Euge`ne Latumeten’s affair with ‘Where Have You Been?’ and we’re overjoyed to greet again the pair who’s back on the label with a really special production. The dreamy pads and the punchy rhythm section helped by the smooth vocals are yet again the logotype of the Dutch duo. The second vinyl begins with Salary Boy and his ‘Piano House’. The London based Swede's production is the perfect way to start the C side with its classic yet modern touch. Another gem to add to the collection. Chevals then takes over in C2 with ‘All I Wanna Do Is Love You’ and we’re so happy to see a skilled guy like him being recognised in the music business, as sometimes a label's purpose is just to be the perfect filter of someone else's visions. His track is another tangible example of his qualities. Then, to kick off the D side we got Art Of Tones with ‘Never Sleep’, a fabulous funky groove with a compulsive rhythmical attitude where the Parisian House icon displays his musical genius in a track genuinely crafted to fit the mood of the Apparel 10th birthday. We’re really proud to have a guy like Ludovic on board for this project as he’s been eager to join our gang since day one and that’s the perfect occasion. Is up to Marcel Vogel & Tim Jules to complete the masterpiece with the last brushstroke which is an experimental and modern tribal beat with masterly arranged keys and superb percussions. The sound research of this track is quite astonishing and, in its whole, is what may be the loop you’d play over and over again to open or close a mesmerising DJ set! Finally a very special and important mention for the artist and friend of the AM’s clan Marco Fantini, a true visionary who blessed us with the chance of choosing amongst some of his stunning artworks for the covers of the record. Each production, indeed, has a different and dedicated piece that reflects its mood. Thanks Marco for having such an important role in this creative process! The record will be out in July so brace yourselves for what is evidently the highlight of our year and... let’s blow thee 10 candles together, as always, as a family, spreading love for good music!

Ibadan announces the release of a new remix by Dennis Quin of Kerri Chandler & Jerome Sydenham ft. Troy Denari - You're In My System on vinyl in December, 2019.
Quin, a self-professed house addict and die-hard Kerri Chandler fan since the early nineties, had been searching for a new vocalist to work with. He turned to Simon Birkumshaw, label manager and A&R of Chandler's Madhouse Records, who recommended Troy Denari, the original vocalist of the classic Ibadan track "You're In My System". When Denari revealed that had just resung the vocals, Quin was inspired to remix the track.
Quin's aim with this remix was to update the track for his sets and give it contemporary production values in line with his current digital sets. "It's always tricky to put your hands on a huge record like this," he says. "It's a legendary track that everyone knows, so I was extremely careful in terms of mixing, timing, and all the rest." The result is a modern version of the classic that is very true to the original. At the same time, Quin makes his mark by bringing his own drum and percussion into the mix.
The remix versions cover all the bases for various digital distribution formats, including atmospheric dub, club and instrumental mixes, plus a special three-minute edit for Spotify.
Working together for the first time, the members of the musical team were excited to exchange their ideas. "Troy, Kerri, Jerome and I have gained so much out this intense collaboration. It has developed into a deep friendship that is all about house music, good vibes and pride in our achievements. Each of us is fulfilled by our individual roles in this project. I'm really proud to be part of this family."
Christine Pedersen, managing director of Ibadan Records, is excited about Quin's first release on the label. "It's always a pleasure to welcome new and talented collaborators into the fold. And I love the new vocal. Troy's singing brings a fresh spin to the track."

Pitto is not one to flood the scene with new music considering he’s only released two ep’s in the last three years. He takes the time to let ideas evolve and it’s clearly noticeable on last year’s EP on ‘Something Happening Somewhere’ sublabel ‘Ooshaa’, where his feel for an almost poppy hook is perfectly combined with his love for darker electronics. On the ‘Baila baila EP’ –his return to Heist after his last ep in 2018- he explores this path further. The EP is filled with live percussion, a dark and rolling acid line, chopped beats and catchy piano riffs. The three originals are accompanied by a remix courtesy of Pete Herbert that has ‘summer’ written all over it.
Opening track ‘Sammie’ has a beautiful sense of melancholy to it, where an emotional piano riff is combined with some 80’s tinged vocals and loads of live percussive elements for a smile inducing experience.
‘Discko’ takes a darker approach with a deep and ‘dubby’ low end and a guitar riff that wouldn’t be out of place on a Caribou track. The horn section and synth lead give it a real crossover appeal and it’s the kind of track you imagine working just as well on a summer festival as in a dark basement.
On the flip, there’s the title track ‘Baila’, a proto inspired acid stomper with a nice wink to early 90’s dance music vocals. An acid line gives the track its backbone, but it’s the combination of Pitto’s chords and instrumentation that give this track it’s unique edge.
The EP finishes off with Pete Herbert’s remix of ‘Sammie’. Pete’s version has that full-on summer appeal with his recognizable style of modern day island disco. He adds a bit of drama to the track with some big breakdowns, changeovers in the piano riff and turns the Balearic vibe up a notch with an added dreamy solo.
We’re happy to have Pitto back on Heist and this unique and diverse EP is one we hope will create a lot of smiles on the dance floor in the coming months.
Yours Sincerely,
Lars & Maarten

Here it is, the first in a new mini-series from Icelandic label BORG LTD - Homegrown EP vol. 1 marks the label's maiden voyage onto showcasing the local Icelandic talent with a three-track release featuring ILO, Intr0beatz and Felix Leifur.
The A side is completely owned up by ILO's seventeen minute house-disco journey Only Someone Real complete with a 90's tinged rave sequence at the tail end. On the B side Intr0beatz supplies Fu Banco, a heady slowed down house groover that keeps his signature sound and atmosphere intact.
Felix Leifur follows with Transit, shaping together in his genre bending way the dusty chords, heavily effected samples, tape hiss and other involuntary recording equipment noises into a beautiful coherency fit for both home & club duty. A great first in BORG LTD's Homegrown series!

Time for another new face on Quintessentials: Goshawk! Been around with differnt projects for ages, this East Midlands lad has always been one of the finest exponents of eccentric deep house. Releasing tons of quality music on labels like Hudd Traxx, Boogie Café, DiY Discs or his co-owned Pressed for Time and Atjazz forthcoming, we simply couldn’t resist signing Goshawk. The „stricly bungalow ep“ offers classic house music and 110 slowdown tunes and is full of fun and vibes, rough yet smooth! „Never let me go“ is an uplifting, sexy vocal track, „why I sing“ is one of two slowdown tunes with a nice dosage of funk, „all I have to give“ is a rather dark club banger and „time is just a loop“ is a minimalistic slowish chugger. Yes, strictly bungalow!

“When I was asked to put my hands on the original tracks of Blancmange I was instantly excited. They were one of my favourite Bands when I grew up as a teenager in the 80’s. Listening to their music walking around with my Walkman back then was adventurous. Mainly because I was already in love with the aesthetics of synthesisers and drum machines. But also because it was unusual pop music with an extraordinary energy that made it in the charts. Remixing a favorite Band is challenging but I’ve tried to keep the free spirits and playfulness in my mix that makes Blancmange still so special after all these years” – Roman Flügel
Roman Flügel remixes the cult 1980s classic that is ‘Living On The Ceiling’, and the result is a killer, off-kilter slice of club-focussed machine funk that contains the same wonderfully bizarre cocktail of traits, that Blancmange always boasted in spades. Eerie and schizophrenic but also both bright and triumphant. Also features the original and sought after extended mix.
The first in a new series of ‘London Records Remixed’ releases on 12” and digital. Now at its new home as part of the Because Music Group the London Records catalogue is being revisited by pioneering, contemporary electronic producers.

11 years ago! A sweet little 7'' is what their equally fast-footed and broken-hearted fanbase are
finally being offered. On the record we find two captivating dance pop ditties from the greatest
band to never make it, once again proving that it’s all about love - not about emotions! Let’s hope
this release is the spark that sets Man Tear’s future ablaze. Let’s hope for death to self-loathing!

The ever excellent MOTHER RECORDINGS serves up more club gold, this time from MARTIN WASLEWSKI. His CLOSER release features two tight tacks that prove he has a lush sense of house groove.
Waslewski is a German who grew up on hip hop and now having turned to house finds himself at home under the roof of labels such as Hommage, Monaberry and Heulsuse. All these playgrounds offer him a deserved platform where he never fails to come up with the goods, as is the case again here.
Up first here is CLOSER, six minutes of deep, feel good house music with romantic vocals and colourful chords. The beats are lazy and well swung and this one is perfect for summer parties and terraces this year. On the flip, COME TO ME is stripped back and more driving, with a tech edge to the beats. There is more great melody though, and some smeared synths that add a sense of scale and weight.
MONKEY SAFARI - Beach Martin ;-)
MAYA JANE COLES - Come To Me is my fav of the two, thanks!
DJ EASE / NIGHTMARES ON WAX - Good summer vies :-)
MIGUEL CAMPBELL - Full support mate!
LUNA CITY EXPRESS - closer is very nice! will play" thanks;-)
JOZIF - Come to me is the one here!!!
MAT.JOE - Go Martin, Closer Summer HIT!
TENSNAKE - Summer is here, timeless is great, thanks!
CRAZY P - Yep def taking these out at the weekend!
RICHY AHMED - nice disco vibes for summer!
GROOVE ARMADA - Sort of hard not to love really!
LARSE - Both tracks really cool, funky stuff! thx

ROBOSONIC and FERRECK DAWN team up again, right after their immortal #1 ‚In Arms‘ on Defected Records worked its way fully through clubs, radios and playlists worldwide.
For this transatlantic collaboration they invited BIG SHUG – from the legendary Gang Starr Foundation – to the studio. The true story being told over the emotive piano- driven groundwork constructed between Berlin and Amsterdam is a flashback to the early days of Disco, House and HipHop in New York City.
How BIG SHUG and one of his closest friends in the rap game Guru (R.I.P.) got inspired by dance music in some of the most iconic clubs of the times.
‚Let Live‘ is an authentic showpiece how memories and souls live on through music. MOTHER is proud of this definition of a golden era house anthem!

Conclave is a gathering.
Conclave is a coming together.
Conclave is con clave, a unifying rhythm that is the key to unlock dances ancient and contemporary.
Conclave is Cesar Toribio and Scott Scribner, multi-instrumentalists whose alchemy is evident in the ebb and flow of their compositions, paradoxes of the delicate and powerful inextricably woven around the rhythm.
After a dozen live shows over the past couple years, the Brooklyn-based group take their first steps on vinyl with an impassioned cover of the soul standard “Sunny,” a song whose Latin Disco pedigree makes it the perfect canvas for the Dominican+New Yorker collaborators. An ethereal gospel choir lifts Toribio’s heartfelt vocals over twining guitar and keys that gradually build and eventually bubble over to ride a churning bass line into the heavens — Paradise, in this case, being a funked-up extended instrumental jam on the groove.
Seven Davis Jr. joins the circle for a flip side remix that is nothing short of stunning. Languidly paced, the sparse mix gradually grows in intensity with an unforced charm that lends a startling drama to the entrance of the rippling bassline a full three minutes in. When the keys finally arrive like a burst of light thru the clouds, the door to the dance has been fully thrown open and the listener’s transformation from bystander to part of the conclave is complete.
The release of “Sunny” is rounded out with an acapella, available on vinyl and digital, an enticement for future collaborators, perhaps. Conclave’s debut album will touch down summer 2020, but this Most Excellent 12-inch is certain to hold you over till then, and beyond.
Written by Bobby Hebb. Performed, recorded by Cesar Toribio and Scott Scribner as Conclave in Brooklyn, NY. Remixed by Seven Davis Jr. Mixed by Phil Moffa at Butcha Sound Studios. MOTHER RECORDINGS don't let up on the release schedule pressure as they look to returning label artists MAT.JOE for a new two tracker. This Berlin based duo are one of the most talked about duos on the circuit at the moment with releases on Toolroom, Hot Creations, as well as MOTHER in the last 6 months. They also received a best newcomer nomination in the recent DJ Awards for Ibiza and have also had two number 1 Beatport Tech House Hits in 2016. They are known for really cooking up fresh club sounds each and every time they release, and this new BLOW YOUR MIND EP is no different.
DANCE MACHINE goes first and is a rolling house cut with rubbery drums and slick bass. Vocals add fuel to the fire, some colourful melodies bring the soul and the whole thing really will kick start any set and get people on their toes.
On the flip, BLOW YOUR MIND is more quirky and left of centre, with high pressure drums and wonky bass all laid over by a freaky lead synth line that has a life of its own. It adds a freshness and funkiness to the drums that builds and builds to a tense and sensory peak.

Logic's 'Blues for you' is a stone cold underground classic. Period. 1994 NYC soulful house groove all up in your area. This is it. The real thing. Wayne Gardiner is a definite unsung hero of dance music, the majority of his productions leaving dancers and DJ's salivating and dancing non-stop. Across 4 different mixes Gardiner shows up the deadly art of simplicity, making all of the versions contained within essentials. Absolutely banging from start to finish. The vocal versions are soaring, the dubs are absolutely tearing, setting dancefloors alight from the Shelter to Club Coliseum. Another Strictly anthem right here, given some tasty 2019 remastering treatment and repressed onto a high quality, weighty 12" for all you record lovers out there, this one will keep them moving in the mix. Perfect NYC sounds here, untouched and represented in it's original 1993 form with original Strictly label artwork, you need this!

Envee kept us waiting for his album a little bit too long, but our patience finally pays off - "Time & Light" drops later this year! But before this happens, we got an appetizer for you - 4-track vinyl EP with tunes that didn't make the cut, but are too good to be forgotten.
It is widely acknowledged that Envee aka "The Bear" is all comfy in club environment, so it was high time to release those four club bangers on a strictly limited (300 pieces) vinyl "Time & Light EP". Two instrumental deep house dancefloor fillers on the A-Side, and two surprising covers on the B-side. The latter ones you may have already heard in Envee's DJ sets - track ID requests were flowing in, so Envee decided to finally spill the beans and put it all out on vinyl.
Cover photos were taken by Filip Blank, Animisiewasz put all the pieces together, Envee did the mix himself and Eprom Sounds Studio is responsible for mastering. Quality guaranteed!

They say all good things comes in threes, and with the marking of Nachtbraker's 3rd release for Heist, we can confirm this universal truth once again. Maurits Verwoerd comes back to Heist with more dancefloor muscle than ever before, and shows us great development of his sound: while keeping his unconventional drum patterns and love for the deeper side of house, he adds some filtered funk flavor along the way. 'Gotta act to react' drives on a saturated bassline, a hypnotizing guitar lick and some seriously loose hi-hats, but really delivers once those hard to place filtered hits come in. 'Pollo con Pollo' is potentially Maurits' most clear attempt at a straightforward groove, with a lovely dreamy guitar loop running throughout the track. Add his loose sense of arrangement and changeovers, and it's still anything but straightforward. The B- side gets nice and weird with 2 versions of Intermezz(l)ow, the one being a lovely textured interlude and the other a rough drum workout built around the same theme. When we asked Maurits who he wanted to have as a remixer, he suggested he'd do a remix himself. We knew better than to argue with him, and since he is who he is, we're not entirely surprised he came up with a great dubbed out acid-tinged flip of 'Gotta act to react'. This EP really shows Nachtbraker's steady rise and will most likely take him out of the shadows he so enjoys, into headline territory and we're glad to support him in this journey. Sincerely yours, Lars & Maarten

Mother Recordings label boss Nhan Solo delivers his biggest club tune for 2013 so far. A sample from a well-known Mexican orchestra combined with some funky drum loops is all he needs to unleash the magic. The hook is an instant booty shaker, so let me tell ya' something: it's good times and hands-in-the-air galore.
Super producer, super DJ, super live act... This is SUPERLOVER! The newest edition to the Mother Recordings family brings us his essential debut EP. This release is masterfully crafted for the summer party season with two tracks of pure pleasure. We're sure you will enjoy this as much as we do!
Steam:
Steam starts off with a dirty percussion and bongo groove then builds tension with a hypnotic melody and bass combo. Seductive and subdued vocal hits lead us into the breakdown for a blissful point of release. A perfect festival tune with a super sexy groove and a melody that sticks to the brain like glue.
Make Love:
"Make romance to the music - Love". The hook to this track is so catchy we can't stop singing along! Pure summertime joy and happiness to get the floor grooving. A super catchy riff and funky house beat opens the track while the vocal is teased in and finally the track explodes like a rainbow of confetti! Expect full booty shaking from the ladies from this one. Guaranteed to bring sunshine and smiles to every dance floor.

Is Nenor (or perviously Obas Nenor) Tel Aviv’s best kept secret? We don’t know yet, but we will find out some day. What we know is that Nenor has a small but very impressive list of labels that he already released for: Strictly Rhythm, Moodymann’s Mahogani Music and Detroits Swindle’s Heist Recordings to name the elite ones! The „Carefree EP“ is another strong release to be added to his discography. „Your love is mine“ is a splendid builder of a track feat another talent, Omri Smadar. More great basslines, crafty rhythms and sweet vocals on the flip side with two equal impressive cuts, „Carefree“ and „December day“. Keep an eye on Nenor!

Seemingly unstoppable, Palermo Traxx Vol 2 is the third release from The Home Current for Castles in Space during 2019. Following the polished industrialisms and eighties inspired grooves of LP “Civilian Leather” and an immediately sold-out 7”, Martin Jensen returns with his final record of the year recorded in praise of a long deceased nightclub called Candy Junction. Recalling the euphoria and positivity of a club night, this towering work shift gears from “Civilian Leather” to full on, futuristic, air cooled dance floor assault. The original plan for this record was to release a white label promo with a facsimile DJ feedback sheet. Straight from 1991 with love. However, as the music developed, it was agreed that this needed a full official release with all the tinsel and trimmings.

O'Girl aka Ellinor Jackson is back once again on Borft! Her debut left me wanting for more. Like label boss Villa Abo said 'Sometimes you just feel right about it'. Although this 4-tracker is her second record out there the music is fully matured house goodness. Stabs and chords builds up a funky groove on a solid beat foundation in Corners Couch. Proper sunset/sundown dance music. Snap Happy dives right into filtered loopy loops and voice samples. It takes its time so you can get snug and cosy and then unleashes a percussion party right at the end so you'll be smile-dancing and sipping fizzy in no time. Shoddy Shoes is a straight up club joint. Dark wobbly techno bass moves dubby stabs forward while a mysterious mist floats on top. Some strong clap action keeps everything moving from side to side! The last track is a lush French Riviera happy moment. Warm pads, classic house piano and bass action all day long. Smiles everywhere and not a cloud in sight! - Sahpo Ripasso

Joy Orbison has been celebrated for finding a sound that marries elements of house, two-step, jungle, techno and dubstep. Alongside the release of the gargantuan "Hyph Mngo" (released on Hot Flush in late 2009 and has topped the end of year charts across the globe) and material on his own imprint Doldrums, notorious mixes for Radio 1 have only served to cement Joy Orbison's renown. Both ‘The Shrew’ and ‘So Derobe’ pick up where ‘Hyph Mngo’ blasted off… devilishly catchy melodies and basslines, full of feeling and soul, evolve and grow as the arrangement develops to leave you on an almighty high. Big drops, super heavy drum programming and grooves that sound like only Joy Orbison right now. There’s shades of garage, shades of funky, shades of old school R&B. Pete wears his influences on his sleeve yet re-wraps them in his own unmistakable and truly unique style. Actress’s Neu Haus refix is the perfect foil for this package. A raw, almost unconstructed tool that in the right hands will create huge tension on the floor. Actress, aka, Darren J. Cunningham has in the last 5 years of running the Werk label set himself apart as one of the hottest A&R scouts within his field, having discovered and released some of the most widely talked about artists of the emerging bass generation, namely Disrupt, Zomby, Lukid and Starkey. As actress he produced the exceptional "Hazyville LP" drawing cries for a Mercury Award Nomination. He's remixed the too cool for school Various Production, written for the seminal techno imprint Soma and has recently confirmed an album deal to record on Honest Jons, the British Independent record label created and founded by Damon Albarn.

Small Hours returns and proudly welcomes two new faces to the label. DJ Pipe brings the heat with an excellent debut track reminiscent of his fine DJ sets at CDV & Hoppetosse in recent times. Oslo digger and emerging producer, Rub800, also joins the family delivering a raw, tripped out affair on side B. Local legend, 'Hollywood' Huerta sets the bar high with one of his finest jams to date, plus label boss Youandewan departs a little from his usual sound with a bouncy, entrancing effort to complete the EP.

And the Black Loops phenomenon continues… Fresh from a whole slew of killer releases this year on
the likes of Happiness Therapy, Neovinyl, Madhouse and Smile & Stay High, the Berlin-based Italian
return to Pets with this almighty four-piece that runs their entire groove gamut.
The long-awaited follow-up to their evergreen ‘For The Lovers’ EP in 2017, once again they not only
tick every box but tickle every inch of your music-addicted soul. Easing us in gently with a little cosmic
UKG, ‘Gwei Lo’ is a two-step teaser with all the magic we’ve come to know and love Black Loops for.
Deeper again we rifle through the styles like 12”s in a dusty crate… ‘Unity’ keeps the garage theme
but with much more of New York or New Jersey style vibe, especially in those epically thudding kicks.
‘Keep A Secret’ is just beautiful deepness with shades of Europe and the West Coast. Somewhere
between Ian Pooley and Hipp-E & Halo in a state of perpetual sunset.
Last but not least, we hit ‘Born In The 80s’. Don’t be fooled by the title, this ain’t no nostalgic
throwback; it’s another timeless slab of deep house heaven where the era is referenced beautifully in
the gentle, dreamy but insistent melody that folds and pleats so majestically over the top, it’s one of
those tunes that really does make you forget where you are and what era you’re in. The type of tunes
both Black Loops and Pets excel in…

As Pathway Traxx finds itself embarking on a dawn of maturity the now familiar colourful label welcomes in its 4th vinyl only release.
This bright yellow vinyl 4th installment welcomes on board relative newcomer on the house scene, Amir Maglajlija a.k.a. Espada. Originating from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Espada only began producing in early 2011 but as you will hear on this release his production skills far out weigh his years of experience. Amir delivers a truly sublime A-side with sprinkles of jazz influenced house and funk. He effortlessly intertwines melodic keys with jazzy horns whilst keeping things moving along nicely through his infectious drums and percussion.
The B-side of the EP see's Pathway Traxx return to more familiar ground with a stripped back deep rework by Mannheim native, ManooZ. Having released on the likes of Tomorrow is Now Kid, Swink and ALIVE Recordings to name but a few, its clear to see Manooz is a force to be reckoned with, and a name well-known for quality house productions.
And last, but by certainly no means last, in typical Pathway Traxx style, they've saved the heavy weight banger for the last track on the B-side. This out and out club ripper is delivered by close label friend and well renowned groove maker, Kezla. Expect nothing more and nothing less than Stripped back drums and a bone-shaking baseline!
