Lead singer of award-winning band Bloc Party and DJ/Producer Kele Okereke has announced a new EP of original productions on Crosstown Rebels in November. The new 'Heartbreaker EP' from Kele Okereke features three original tracks and a superb remix by Recondite.

The first track from the EP, eponymous 'Heartbreaker' shows Kele's Garage influences, and features vocals from Bobbie Gordon. 'God Has A Way' features old school house chord stabs, more uplifting guest vocals and a driving rhythm, whereas 'Get Up' provides a sparser, deeper atmosphere and is the only track to feature Kele himself on vocals. The EP also features a remix of lead single 'Heartbreaker' by much respected Berlin based techno artist, Recondite. Kele Okereke's first two solo EPs, under the artist name 'Kele', pushed the envelope of his electronic production standards. 'Heartbreaker' continues to further the dance-floor trajectory introduced on aforementioned 'The Boxer' and 'The Hunter' EP's.

From Bloc Party's Platinum-selling debut album to Okereke's guest vocals for artists like The Chemical Brothers, dance music has always been the underlying influence for Kele. Having spent ten years making records in studios working with some of the greatest producers in the world, Kele now feels he knows how to make music that he wants to hear.

With Luvless the Black Ops camp adds yet another fresh face to its roster. Over the past years the Leipzig native made a name for himself with releases on his lovely own Rose Records imprint and esteemed labels like Tsuba and FOTO. If you're partial to carefully arranged, classy piano-led deep house business, his new 'Part of Me EP' should tickle your pickle.
Lead track 'In My Arms' is a bottom-heavy mid-tempo burner with a driving piano melody and yearning vocals that slowly works towards a breakdown of monumental proportions.
'Balance on a Beam' on the flip is a slightly beefier affair, blending tight tambourine-like snares, sultry male vocals and chunky hiphop-ish sampling style with Luvless' moody synth lines and crisp drums. Closing track 'A Precious Kind of Love' offers more trademark Luvless deepness, nicely rounding off the package with its spaced out beats, glittery percussion and more cut-up samples. As always, this is a limited, vinyl only release. It will not be repressed and will not be released digitally. Not now, not ever.

The Godzilla Kebab label was started in 2012 by Sames, is based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and now serves up its 6th EP, a four track affair that calls on various artists from across the world. Quintessentials associate Andy Ash, label boss Sames, Sam Williams (aka Chamboché) and Sam Halsall (Elevator) come together as Ampers& and finally Replika are the names who turn in one tune each with the results making for fresh house listening. 'Bad Cat' is the first jam and it comes from Sames.
With a prowling, gnarly bassline, the thing creeps along with raw analogue lines and whacked out drums setting the mood. Eventually some tooting horn stabs and ping ponging kick drums come in to liven things up and boy do they do that. The recently formed Ampers& duo hail from London and have had some fine releases to date as solo acts.
Together they are an even stronger force and their 'Play On' track is a well crafted bit of house with squelchy melody phrases, light as air percussion and nimble drums - you feel as though you are floating on a groove rather than being rooted to planet earth and the overall effect is refreshing indeed. Andy Ash is a well-travelled UK house talent with plenty of releases on a wide range of labels.
It's 'Rothfield' that he turns in here, and in the process shows once more why he is so highly rated. His no nonsense house kicker has muddled beats and bass offset with crisp, emotive synth smears, it's a jazzy, colourful bit of propulsive house music that will make floors bounce as one.
Replika rounds out the EP with the aptly titled 'Keep It Down' which is slower and wallows more in its own forlorn sense of late night romance. The chords are heartfelt, the odd vocal sounds tug at the heart and it's a fine way to close things down. This is a more than handy house EP that offers four equally enjoyable but stylistically varied tracks....

Following EPs from Matthew Burton and Seuil, the third release on Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch label introduces one of Berlin's most intriguing outsiders: Albert Schwartz. A native of Ghana now based in Germany, Schwartz has been DJing and making tracks for years, but aside from a few gigs with Sammy at Club der Visionäre, has mostly been kept secret until now. With Berry Deep / Drop, he shows a modern and organic style of house that makes him a perfect fit for the Berlin-­-based label. 'Berry Deep' is true to its name: subtle, plodding and atmospheric, driven by an elliptical vocal bit. Much like Ultrastretch's past releases (or old Perlon records for that matter), it's the tiny, meticulous details that breath life into this one, like the bubbling major chords competing with the mournful strings, or the ghostly, almost imperceptible Marvin Gaye samples ('Hey brother! What's happenin....'). 'Drop' brings the energy up a notch without losing its subtle touch. The drums are punchier and have a bit more momentum, but the tone is still somehow hushed. This time Marvin takes center stage, with lines from 'Inner City Blues' strewn across the track. The EP's remix comes from Rhadoo, a core member of Romania's a:rpia:r crew (along with Raresh and Petre Inspirescu) and a past guest at Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch parties at Club der Visionäre. His microhouse restyle of Berry Deep gives the original a trippy edge, plus a bit more club- friendly oomph.

Ever-winding down different sonic pathways, the Visionquest imprint next shines a light on young Norwegian talent Terje Bakke. The 'Jadore' EP is an excursion through loosely weaved organic house, where minimal textures meet fluid abstract melodies, deep rolling rhythms and light percussive brush strokes. Title track 'Jadore' combines a dubby soundbed with sun filtered guitar licks while the hypnotic 'Claudette' progresses with a subaqueous bassline and evolving chime melodies. 'Nibenay' is pinned by striding drum beats while flute notes and swirling pads emerge and fold. Closing the package 'Tiberiu' works another deep and quirky groove with stripped back drums and evolving textures.

After a two-year hiatus to complete his studies, the absorbing 'Jadore' EP for Visionquest will be Terje Bakke's comeback into the circus. Visionquest discovered Terje via his track 'Ekatrinberg', which was a massive success on the underground and was selected for the Visionquest fabric61 mix. Firmly back in the production seat now, Terje has further EPs in the pipeline for Be Chosen, Liebe Detail, Horse on Horse and Kets.

Hailing from the second largest city in Norway but currently residing in Copenhagen, Denmark, Terje Bakke is still a youngster on the scene but with an approach to both production and DJing that conveys a considered maturity well beyond his 26 years. Terje's first foray into production came in 2004 on Electronic Elements and since, the artist has released on a number of European labels such as Strictly Chosen, Be Chosen and Soulfooled.

Terje is also getting set to launch his own label brand with a first release due November 2013. More info to follow.

"What $ Love" is one of Romanthony's rarest songs. These original house mixes are one of his most sought after pieces of vinyl with pristine copies selling for upwards of £100.

Roman did make an R&B version on his Glasgow Underground album but the house mixes with their low-slung dubby organ & bass grooves are the real dj deal with the 'Westside Highway Mix' still in many A-list house djs bags.

Taking it's name from the address of Ron Hardy's seminal Muzic Box club (326 N.Michigan Ave, Chicago) 3.2.6. was a short lived project from one Dion Williams, ably assisted by the legendary Armando Gallop and Mike Dunn who lend their mixing skills and individual styles across the breadth of the entire record.

"Falling" came out in 1989 on Steve Poindexter's cult Musique imprint and ticks all the boxes as far as cult Chicago House records go. All 5 tracks ooze classic lo-fi House grooves, the driving analog drum machines, repetitive, trance like pads, disjointed voices and those seedy late night vibes that we have all come to know and love are all present. A true underground record.

Another long lost slab of Chicago goodness, brought back to life, re-mastered, re-issued and re-pressed in conjunction with Steve Poindexter / Muzique Records, Chicago USA.

Next up on Creme Organization is someone who has been winning lots of fans with his tough, masculine house music in the last couple of years. Releasing on labels like Unknown to the Unknown and his own Hot Haus Recs, DJ Haus's sound is one that aims squarely at the dance floor. Up first here is 'Wurk it Girl', a slamming track with old school bass, sharp percussion and none stabs that are impossible not to move to. Various passion fuelled vocal cries also add to the sweaty atmosphere where next cut 'Little Pieces' gets a bit weird: chopped and cut up vocals form patchwork patterns above bursts of siren, bright synths and icy hi hats. Urgent and heavy, driven by tough kicks and with a freewheeling sense of fun, it's a veritable house bomb. Title track 'Peekaboo' is slower and more purposeful, with more weird vocals heavily treated and darting about above steel sounding stabs, glassy pads and smoother synths. The gritty, swinging 'Feel The Powder' is a coked up house jam with lots of sleaze, manic indecipherable vocals and fat, squelchy bass. Weird but never too weird, this is nerve jangling, sweat inducing and high impact house of the highest order.

DeepArtSounds 5th release 'La ciudad interior EP' was produced by 'deep Explorer' artist Dubbyman !
He's mixing electronic music with jazzy chords and some space spherical grooves, giving us a brilliant mixture of different styles and vocals. It took almost one year to complete this three track EP. Dubbyman has also been drawing a lot on musician friends for adding a human touch. He has been blessed with amazing vocals by Bjak, Jenifa Mayanja, Gianluca TheHuge, Sinovuyo Tshomela and Debra Jones-Davis. All tracks are splendid and essential, making this a must for any Dubbyman follower.

Between the two of them, Jenifa Mayanja and Lola (aka Dakini9) have over 20 years experience in NYC's electronic music community as producers/djs and label owners. They return with their newly launched joint label and music collective Sound Warrior with their second release riding high on the buzz created by their first outing which was well charted and reviewed.

This second EP from the label features multi-instrumentalist, beat-maker, producer Pursuit Grooves, other wise known as Vanese Smith. Pursuit Grooves has released on Tectonic, Rush Hour, and Deepblak, amongst others. Here she turns in an eclectic atmospheric cut that moves through various beat patterns, going deeper with every bar. On the flipside, Jenifa Mayanja's 'My Reasoning' features her voice sampled and chopped, beautiful synth work, and organic percussion. Dakini9 closes the project with 'Trail Markers,' a winding synth exploration with more of that Sound Warrior ritualistic percussion.

Sound Warrior is an engine fueled by a desire to bring much needed exposure to women who are under-rated, as well introducing up and coming producers while also showcasing already established artists/producers. In an industry where women have few mentors, the Sound Warrior umbrella can be a source of inspiration and support for women artists by creating opportunities, working together, and building community.

Previously only a handful of whitelabels have been floating around.
