Another year comes crashing into view, and another instalment in the Nasty Rips and Shifting Peaks series is upon us, as ever looking to bring together a mix of new, up and coming and established names, via a chaotic miasma of styles and tempo's .

This 12" sampler features HNNY's artful balearo-garage mix of Sly One's 'Come to Mine', that has already been making waves since last summer. Ossies' fat and housey mix of Odessa's 'Get Right' was a grower, and Applebottom's piano-laced mix of DE$IGNATEDS' 'Valentine' has been a secret party weapon for many over the last 6 months.

Venezuelan wonder producers Fur Coat step up for a triumphant return to their spiritual home of Crosstown Rebels armed with a solid stack of weapons to vamp up the dancefloor. Showcasing the duo's most thoughtful and restrained material to date, the 'U Turn EP' is a deep and moody tour de force, technically on point and awash with hypnotic bleeps, dramatic tension and shards of vintage techno. Damian Lazarus has consistently hammered all 4 cuts of late and 'U Turn' has been a staple in the sets of the mighty Tale Of us for 4 months, debuting at Time Warp in Mannheim to heated speculation. Stylistically more heads down with not a hint of vocal, these are darkroom killers with the artistic essence of Fur Coat in tact.

Fur Coat is one of the most hard-working and passionate duos in the business. On an endless quest for an original groove, irresistible hook and utmost production quality, their wildly successful releases for the likes of Hot Creations, Bpitch Control and of course Crosstown Rebels has ensured that the duo a weighty touring schedule and loyal following. Unearthed and championed by original Rebel Damian Lazarus, the duo released their impressive debut album 'Mind Over Matter' in 2012 on Crosstown Rebels

Since the album dropped, the pair have been called upon to sprinkle the unmistakable Fur Coat magic to reworks of legends such as Timo Maas & Robert Owens as well as hot newcomers Kidnap Kid & Joy Wellboy. April 2014 saw another landmark as the guys released their first original material since Mind Over Matter. 'Theres No Time EP' came out on the much hyped Hot Creations imprint from Jamie Jones & Lee Foss and is still getting hammered by some of the biggest players in the game today. Hot on its heels came 'The Right Move EP' for Ellen Allien's legendary Berlin imprint Bpitch Control, and featured the vocal talents of Jaw from DOP, again cementing Fur Coat's name at the top of the industry.

Filthy City, the debut album from NYC's Gut Nose, encapsulates his deep knowledge of Golden Era, East Coast hip hop and the raw, rough textures of early Chiago house and Detroit techno. The release comprises a seventeen minute beats tape on the A side, created live, as well as an almost-twenty minute DJ mix of original material on the B side.

Andrew Vagabundo first released under the Gut Nose moniker in January 2013 with the eat biskit tape, a self-produced and packaged cassette of noise, techno and hip hop that was met with praise from The Quietus and Electronic Beats. His debut three-tracker 12" was released earlier in 2014 by Styles Upon Styles, the Sound Signature-recalling thump of SUS005 Vicetopia.

Early press support has come from Juno, Ad Hoc, Dublab, Inverted Audio, the Quietus, XLR8R, Tiny Mix Tapes.

Early DJ support includes The L.I.E.S. crew including Ron Morelli, Jahiliyya Fields, Gunnar Haslam, Bookworms, P.O.I. and more. Container, Patricia and the Opal Tapes crew, and Wrecked NYC have also been playing

Vernon Bara also makes music as Ultrasone alongside Igor Vicente, which is a more techno orientated project that can count releases on Hot Creation and Supplement Facts to its name.

Ladybird is well known for being the singer of Soldiers Of Twilight and vocalist on one of the most famous Llorca's song My Precious Thing among the tons of project she been working for, One of the best, if not the best, soulful singer in Paris,
And now they can add to their resume that there are the very first new release on the briquerouge reboot, Orchestrated by David Duriez himself, the label is back for a new series of releases and reworks from the back catalogue with brand new top names added to the roster.

On this release you can enjoy top remix works by the likes of Nacho Marco (Ovum / Loudeast / Saw) and the head honcho David Duriez (2020Vision / Ovum / Classic) both on the acid side but in a very different way, A very complete package for the deep house heads as well as proper house djs.

VIARE is a 12" compilation featuring 4 distinct tracks, each occupying their own wildly unique sub-genre of the house experience. "Virgo Cluster" by Jonas Reinhardt fuses elements of cosmic disco and krautrock into a live transcendental package, with amazing guitar work by Phil Manley (Trans Am/Life Coach). "Seven Miles Down" from London's Timothy J. Fairplay (The Asphodells) is a testament to Zombie Horror Cinema, featuring a pulsing dub-house beat that dives into cavernous sonic territory. "Guave" by PLAzA is a playful dancefloor workout, that evokes a slow acidic line and classic Chicago house elements. Lastly, "Back Outside" from Roche is druggy outsider house at its best, with an enormous subby bassline that complements a classic alien warehouse vibe.

Italy's Giovanni Damico return to Seven after the success of his EP with the label, earlier in 2013. The 'Old Feelings' EP was supported by a broad spectrum of DJs, with leading names including Laura Jones, Hunee and Jacques Renault. Since that time, Giovanni has gone on to release more high-end music of top labels such as Landed, Skylax, Geography and Black Key. So it's a welcome return for the Italian to the belfast based imprint. This time for a special vinyl only release on Seven's 'Seven Limited (7LTD)' sublabel. The EP kicks off with a deep, groovy, Chicago inspired track entitled 'Summer Rain'. then leading into '2 Birds' which has a jazzier and deeper feel, reminiscent of many MCDE track. The B side then takes things a little more underground. 'Polo' starts with a more latin House vibe, but when the acid kicks in we're led straight to Detroit. Finishing up the release is 'Balboa Jab'. The funky and live feel of this track is the perfect way to end yet another excellent release for Giovanni and Seven!

Following on from the release of Innershades' No Stopping EP on Creme Organization last summer, the Dutch label revisits the a-side cut 'Nina' with two remixers in tow. Those remixers are Bristol's bass pioneer Kowton and the inimitable production duo of Tuff City Kids. Unterton and Delsin duo Gerd Janson & Phillip Lauer aka Tuff City Kids turn in a bulky, piano laced and acid riddled remix of 'Nina' that is a pure party starter. Idle Hands and Hessle Audio man Kowton reworks 'Nina' into something run through with plenty of sirens, raw, crunchy drum loops and rolling percussive lines. It's stormy and tumultuous and is full of frosty textures. These are two abrasive tracks designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor.

M1 Sessions presents "Chips N Chittlins Vol. 1" featuring the talents of Paul Randolph and his timeless world view of musical influence. The full album previously released in limited numbers on CD will be released in two volumes on 12''. This project offers a 2 step garage sound blended with House and R&B. Local Talk is proud to present a release featuring Clemens Kahlcke aka Clé, also known as 1/2 of Märtini Brös. A true veteran in the electronic dance music scene with several releases on established labels, including Poker Flat, Dessous and liebe*detail.

The title track The Jam is a classic deep house track, cleverly layered with elements that builds the track gradually, giving it real drive and purpose.

DVS1 takes things very deep with a throbbing bass heavy production. The new Mo's Ferry 12inch 'Beat Hit Repeat' is release no. 2 by Italian youngster Greeko. The A side containing the title track and 'The Best For The Rest' belongs to the dry grooves and accented bass patterns. On the B side Greeko follows the path of his 'Kill EP' and focuses more on room effects. The track 'Wild Spirit' shows that he is not afraid of excessive melody parts. Unfortunately, the space on a vinyl is very limited. Therefore, the track 'Less Is More' is a digital bonus to the four tracks on the record. Greeko's releases up to this date, for instance on Yuma, Sincopat and Noir Music, show that this guys has a big goal in mind.
