One of the unsung modern forefathers of gradient chug, the Rotterdam native has carved out a niche for engulfing body movers that organically unfold like subtle origami.
Wondering What We Are explores the ever expanding spectrum of the Ben La Desh aesthetic in a compact 4-track capsule.

'Afrodesia' soundtracks a high speed chase through tropical back roads with swirling synths and pulsing drops.
'Your Love' has a slinky half-tempo bounce that skates along an infectious horn loop and vocal refrain.
'We Are' finds La Desh in his signature groove wheelhouse - buttery builds and smoothed-out repetition.
'Why Don't You' may very well be his deepest moment yet, a driving baseline is lathered with clattering percussion and sultry female croons to devilishly sinister effect.

Victor was part of the legendary "Garage" scene and played along side Larry Levan throughout the history of the famed New York club and went onto remixing and re-editing a whole host of stars and his work has appeared recently on the cheeky "East End" records.
These mixes fuse Nina's sultry vocals with the sounds of NYC nightlife....

Night Slugs' Whitelabel series continues with two new re-takes on tracks from L-Vis 1990's Ballads EP. Pairing a VIP mix from L-Vis 1990's personal crates and yet another vicious bootleg from Helix, these stark dystopian remixes allow both producers to follow their impulses towards the dark side.



L-Vis 1990 applies the 'Varied In Production' treatment to his brutalist club jam 'Ballad 4D', restructuring and stripping away many of the original track's layers to make room for chopped, shuffling jungle percussion and a startling stop-start motion. The result is a broken riddim designed for an entirely different dimension.

Helix reconstructs 'Not Mad' into a skeletal, grimey predator, adding stealthy subdued moments that give way to a full on percussive assault. Helix has made a habit of re-forming his labelmate's tracks, working only with the original masters in his ongoing quest to bootleg club music into his own reality.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Hubertus Schacht is back on Samuvar 6 with a stunning microdubhouse-track:
'hikari' sports multi-layered soundscapes, is full of little nifty melodies and big mighty chords albeit never losing sight of the dancefloor.
Swinging hi-hats, compelling breaks and a massive drop - embedded in a smoothly floating midtempo-arrangement.

Currently bubbling under the surface of London's house scene, Phillip Ort is about to break through with his addictive debut single 'back To The Basics' on the mighty Kote Records imprint, complete with Labels head honcho Chase Buch aka Kleio's and rising star of Hot Creations HNQO's Remix.

Memento12 showcases some of the label's most daring works so far, ranging from sparse soundscapes to elaborate actual song structures, always keeping focused on the feeling and unique inspiration that are its distinctive trait.

Gas' "Nighthawk" starts off on a jazzy intro with soft pads and takes the listener on a journey of drum rolls and delayed percussions. A crescendo of warm synths balances the gloomy vocal that goes 'How does it feel when your heart grows cold'. Stylish.

Simone Ferrari's "Romantik" comes up with a minimal vibe made of ticking sounds and clicks, with laid back synth stabs to top off the kick-driven tune. For the right afterparty at sunrise.

Acirne's "Circle of us" is designed around a quirky funky bass line and crazy spectral sounds. Atmospheric keyboards remind of early German electronic bands, and a growing spaced-out arpeggio turns into a whirlwind of emotions. Another off-the-wall track from Memento hottest girl.

Blue Mondays' "Holes" sets an even higher standard with its menacing intro, hand-picked bass guitar melody and a dark 80s-inspired singing which goes onto a break of feedback guitar sounds. Out of the ordinary to say the least, it's a perfect blend of alternative electronic and the darker side of synth-pop.

Based in Berlin Nick Beringer is an amazing music producer with fresh ideas, decapitating hi hats and thick basslines, accompanied by a catchy Synth. Proper dancefloor house beats for our very first release.

This version is a full release with some great remixes....by both Lucy from Stroboscopic and Shigeto from Ghostly. These mixes are fantastic, and really show a nice array of sounds. Humpin' two track edit of pop licking goodness from an unknown source - limited stock...get it before they dry up!

Bicep are back with the second release on their eponymous Feel My Bicep label with the follow up to last year's 'Vision Of Love'. After a sustained period setting up their new studio, FMB002 features three tracks pushing into a synth driven direction in comparison to earlier releases.

After the 'Stash' EP on Aus Records showed the duo stepping out of their comfort zone, FMB002 continues that trend. 'Satisfy' features melodic pads, leads and a breakbeat heavily indebted to 80s freestyle and Baltimore club. 'Snackbar' takes a much tougher line, with a subtly growling and grinding bass underpinning its menacing chords reflecting their recent more techno heavy sets. 'The Final Trip' is deep into late night Belfast territory, keeping it true to the classic pairing of jackin' 909 and juno 60 live through the whole track.

According to the boys themselves 'Expect a more frequent and increasing varied output in future - this EP is some tracks made purely to fit into our sets, which are tending to a little bit more techno at the moment... More to come..'

SKYMARK an old passionate of soul, brazilian music, jazz and obscure disco from the mid 60's till the mid 80's. Thanx to his older brothers he have been exposed to these kinds of music since my childhood.
He have been spending most of his spare time practising on the keys and listening to records in search of the soulfull waves that give he the goosebumps and red eyes.
he started recording music since late 2005, some rap, deep house, disco influenced productions. Nowadays he is a bit disconnected from electronic music and i am preparing a kind of brazilian jazz influenced album.
He dont have a specifiq musical genre, He just record what comes out of my soul depending the moment.
