No 6 in the Waze & Odsyssey Street Tracks series sees the ubiquitous Citizen team up with the unheralded Ashworth for some upfront house business dipped in the naughty end of the 90s. Along with the Shona Carmen vocalised title track there is a LDN Warehouse Dub and B Side burner "State".

Ivano Tetelepta returns to duty on FOF after his well received 'True Colours' LP with a veritable potpourri of tracks in collaboration with various cohorts. First up Ivano's collaboration with Steve Siwalette twists and turns with a steppas' beat whilst melodic licks build the track up to it's anthemic break. 'Give Me Something So I Can Dance' w/Alex Jansen roughs things up with a low-slung dirty groove whist Ben Buiendijk injects an acidic flavour into his collaboration before Ivano & Bas Amro delve deeper with the sweetly melancholic tones of 'Manolia'.

A bold move to cover a Daft Punk record
Perhaps... but OFF MSG and vocalist Hadi create a respectful update of the oft overlooked Romanthony penned finale to Daft Punk's second album.

Too Long is one side of vinyl and 6 minutes of classic infectious house music; as uncomplicated as it is effective. Sounding not unlike an early Marshall Jefferson / Jungle Wonz record.

Hadi's vocal leads the way, underpinned by loose house beats, live tambourine, a 'when house was disco's little brother' bass line and analogue disco stabs that punctuate the space.

Paris After being the main artist on Dirt Crew Recordings for over seven years and with a staggering 13 Ep's in that period either solo or with his buddy Till von Sein, the Berlin based Alexander Krüger has finally concluded a full album for us. He is one of Germanys most consistent producers an has an Huge release list on Discogs ranging from the mid nineties when he started out as - Korsakow' and - Dub Taylor' on classic labels like - Force Tracks', - Müller' and - Raum Musik' to date. It has also been nine years since his last - real' album on - Resopal Schallware' back in 2004 . We always wanted to complete a full Album with Tigerskin as most of his EP's were already small Albums with track listings of an average 6-7 tracks per EP. The Output of this man is enormous, not only solo under his 3 monikers but also with fellow producers he works with, most prominent the stuff he does with - DJ Phonique'. On the album you will find 14 tracks that reflect a broad variety of styles, from the first few tracks that are more in the Deep House direction to the Electro-esque and listening Ambience middle part to the banging Techno ending of the last few tracks.

The Light Fantastic is a dancefloor orientated club album with a range of influences like - deep house, vintage synthesizers, classic boogie, disco, Chicago jack, acid house, and even a dash of full-throttle rave revivalism.
There are many ways to move forward as an artist. You can reinvent yourself, keep track of fashions, or try bold new things. Tom Trago has spent the best part of 10 years pushing his sound in impressive new directions. Yet on his new album, the well-regarded Amsterdam-based producer has done things slightly differently. This time round, his influences come from much closer to home, and he has admitted to being inspired by the dancefloor-focused style with which he made his name.

Trago is an old hand at this kind of thing. Back in 2009, his debut album, Voyage Direct, impressed with its warm, disco-centric blends of full-throttle deep house and boogie-influenced synthesizer funk. He cast his net wider on 2011's Iris, choosing to work with a wide variety of international collaborators on an album that laid bare his myriad of musical influences.

On the Light Fantastic, he's decided to 'step back to move forwards' with a warm, involving set that puts the simple pleasures of the best dancefloor moments at its heart.

'I tried to go a bit back towards the style I was doing on Voyage Direct, so dancefloor beats with deeper impact,' Trago admits. 'I was trying to male tracks that work on the dancefloor, but also move your heart.'

In some ways, The Light Fantastic is Trago in 'back to basics' mode. Partly inspired by his ever-increasing travels around the world to DJ, it melds together a range of influences - deep house, vintage synthesizers, classic boogie, disco, Chicago jack, acid house, and even a dash of full-throttle rave revivalism on the raw funk of 'The Elite' - on a set that sounds like it was painted in vivid colours by an artist at the top of his game.

'I'm like a professor in a lab, trying to make little ideas work,' Trago enthuses, warming to the theme. 'The tracks are all there in my head, like a puzzle, and I have to make all the pieces fit together.'

The 'back to basics' theme extended to his choice of collaborators. Whereas Iris was notable for featuring an impressive cast list of international singers, musicians and producers, The Light Fantastic is more of a homegrown affair. While plenty of people lent a hand during the recording process, they were trusted locals from the Dutch electronic music scene, rather than outsiders.

'This time, I thought 'whoever walks in the studio can get involved',' he says. 'If they walked in, they could sing, play some synths or do some mixing. A lot of people came to hang out and ended up lending a hand. It's a much more fun way of working than sending your track to somebody across the other side of the World.'

There are many collaborations on The Light Fantastic, but listen out for contributions from Steffi, Ben Westbeech, 'studio neighbour' San Proper, Makam, vocalist Holly Wood and, most surprisingly, a local club owner who just happened to swing by the studio. 'Using my friends was a big part of the process,' Trago admits. 'One of the points of the album was using people who were close to home, part of the family almost.'

It's an approach that definitely paid dividends. Certainly, this celebration of Amsterdam's blossoming electronic music scene adds a little extra frisson of excitement to The Light Fantastic's impressive vibrancy.

By the time the rush-inducing positivity of 'The Wrong Right' gives way to the mutant alien funk of album closer 'Desire', you'll be ready to listen to it all over again. That's the thing with The Light Fantastic - it's a trip you'll want to take again and again.

With 14 international magazine front covers to her name, numerous producer/DJ awards, top 10 places in the Resident Advisor DJ polls in both 2011 & 2012, 30+ countries played in the last 18 months, 10 million You Tube views, 190,000+ Facebook fans, 50,000 twitter followers and over 4 million plays on Soundcloud, Maya Jane Coles rise to fame has been somewhat meteoric. A magnetic reflection of their revolutionary live set, sonically daring and instrumentally traversing across the distant plains of traditional folk and Balkan-Jazz to a strange meeting with balearic soul and garden house through clever use of vintage synthesisers and dubby rhythms. The quirky trio give a salute to musical freedom and their humble beginnings through thirteen original free-flowing tracks in 'Wternal!'.

The vivid and ever evolving interaction of three musicians, Henrik Raabe (Guit, Perc), Jakob Seidensticker (MPC, Arrange, EFX) and Florian Schirmacher (Voc, Synths, Perc) forms one of the very few live bands in the electronic worldwide circuit.

On 'Ocean's Drive' Jakob and Henrik came up with the strongest rhythm section since the funk brothers, while on 'Little things' Florian's narrative lyrics reveal his roots as a true soul-preacher.

Ataxia is a Detroit­based production team of Ted Krisko and Eric Ricker. They are DJ and promotional mainstays in the Motor City and are making their full production debut with 'The No.6' EP.

Up steps the prodigiously talented 20 year old Justin Jay, a true California golden child, born, raised and nourished within the LA city limits for his Culprit debut with 'The Jaguar'. The three track EP has been the result of organically built relationship with the LA based imprint, with songs inspired by LA and the label's sound and credo.

The title track is dedicated to that quintessential Los Angeles icon - a classic car. This is a joyous ode to a top down drive at sunset with the city sprawled underneath and all around, its possibilities endless.
