1 year after its digital release, Brooklyn Baby’s « For the Soul EP » has become a DJ favorite, with the eponymous track already a club anthem. It has been playlisted by Terrence Parker, Kevin Saunderson, Mike Dunn, Mark Farina, Simon Dunmore & Daniel Steinberg to name only but a few. With over 2000 tracks sold in 12 month and almost 500 000 streams, it was about time to bring this House gem on vinyl.

To make the package even more attractive, the french produced has added to the Frappé package an extra track named « Mad Real », which is only available on this format. « For The Soul » is now ready to now become a digger’s favorite.

Chicago from his head to his toes, Ed’s signature nods to the Windy City greats while pushing things forwards with fresh sound design and his innate musicality. From the bright and sunny melodies on ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Time Will Tell’ to the driving bump and groove of ‘Not On The Radio’ and ‘There’s Always A Chance’, Ed establishes his credentials alongside the best of them.

Bernard Badie returns to Mojuba with his first solo release in over five years. Representing that unmistakable Chicago House sound in four different approaches ranging from dance floors jackin' slammers like the title track to soothing after hours vibes with a freshly remastered and extended version of the magnificent piece of deepness "Open Up". Courtesy of Balance is the Balance sister label run by Frenchman Brawther, who Chicago house great Chez Damier credits with getting him back in the game several years ago, after he had taken a step away.

This is another super smooth and seductive deep house sound, with Grant & Finnoh laying down warm, rolling beats, dubbed-out chords and heady vocal whispers. Brawther brings out the jazziness with his slightly more up-tempo remix and finally, Zansika sinks you into a late-night reverie with his dreamy and loved-up remix.

Recline Music welcome AXIOMATICS on the label with an outstanding four tracks EP on vinyl.

AXIOMATICS is the new project by Mirco Violi and Riccardo Baldoni that masterfully wrote and produced this amazing record. The EP opens with 'Thelma', a great Detroit house tune with a delicious vocal and impressive jazzy pianos, chords and strings that is set to become an instant classic. Then comes 'Polar' that mixes the classic with the contemporary, fusing old school elements like the melodic bass line and stuttering synth licks, with bumpy rhythms that add a modern charm to the composition of this house number.

The B side opens with 'Habibti' a much deeper and dark trip with rolling grooves, deep vocal samples and lead sounds that come from Eastern lands; an immense house cut made strictly for the dancefloor. Finally, 'K.O.T.B' closes the record, a no nonsense house cut, tipping the focus over to a chuggy bass groove, tension building strings and rugged drums with a beautiful vocal sample; the result is a weighty peak-time interpretation.

AXIOMATICS The EP is a real bomb, stay tuned guys and do not sleep!

In preparation for the release of Kirk's full length album later this summer, Far Out Recordings dishes up a second instalment of tasters and remixes from a cadre of new label recruits and recent collaborators furthering the kaleidoscopic 'Sambatek' template of deep and dark techno meets Brazil's renowned rhythm. Following on from the success of Volume One in the Sambatek remixes series, Volume Two offers an even more diverse take on Kirk's effusive productions seeing BNJMN (UK), Spatial (UK) and Argentina's Jonas Kopp step up to the plates.

DJ Sneak returns from Dance Music sabbatical with massive new Chicago House EP on Parisian imprint Frappé.

The 4 tracks on the Frappé EP are crafted in Sneak’s signature uncompromising and gritty style. The title track "Chicago House" brings the purest of filtered sampling, a Sneak tradition and a firm blast from the past packaged up neatly for both the veteran and new clubbers alike.

"I need you" is all about that house groove. Layered chunky drums, smooth vocals and sweet synth pads lay the foundations to another classic cut.

“When you dance” has a bouncy, looping melody that utilises driving drum loops and mesmeric vocals to deliver an instant hook. This is a pure cut, engineered for dancefloors.

“A little Acid” completes the collection on a more electronic tip, with Sneak tweaking the 303 in his ever so distinctively funky way.

The record will be out exclusively on vinyl for the first 6 month complete with a special colour cover of different Sneak visuals on the back and front, it's likely to be flying off the shelves quickly!

Hot on the heels of their releases on Nu Groove and Refuge Recordings Acid Jerks are back once again with another EP of jackin' traxx.

It's their first for Local Talk and we are, of course both proud and honoured to release "Hifi Shades Of Grey" on limited 12" vinyl.
The Acid Jerks sound is tried and tested to perfection by now and their fans won't be disappointed listening to this EP for sure.

First up is 'Shades Of Grey', a proper builder with its haunting strings, setting the tone perfectly.

Then we have 'Wheels Of Fortune', a track with that raw Chicago vibe. Warehouse soul anyone?

Both 'Rise Up' and 'Ace Of Spade' are tracks infused with that and equal parts of old-school and bounce.
