Two years may seem like a very short stop gap between original release and reissue, but when the music comes at this kind of grade who's complaining? Much like his contemporaries such as Fred P and DJ Qu, Patrice Scott's take on deeper-than-deep house conjure up ambient fantasies coloured with twinkling synth lines and slowly exhaled pads. It's not all fuzzed-out bliss though, as "2000 Black" sneaks a warm and snarling bassline amidst the soothing elements around it. "Mind Rhythms" especially shines with its combination of heavy groove and intricate melodies bubbling away under the surface.

A record that will send the punters home filled with euphoric warm fuzzies.

"Never 4get EP", an EP of house tracks from KERAW (Bruce Vanderro & Lucas Moinet) made at their Studio 937 in Paris. For this release, they wanted to give back the original color of the traditional deep house sound from New Jersey with four essential-to-release tracks of theirs. "Never 4get About The Second Vibe" pays tribute to the 90's deep chords tradition with a proper hardcore deep house second vibe. On the other hand, "Until The End Of The Night" brings a deep & introspective ballad theme to the record, while "50%" and "Jersey Bass" ensure the resurrection of the early 90's traditional New Jersey sound. All tracks have been composed, recorded and produced at Studio 937 with yesterday's and today's hardware equipment. Matter of fact, Keraw never wants to forget the NY sound of deep house music foundations.

KERAW is a deep house production duo made by Lucas Moinet (Groove Boys Project) and Bruce Vanderro (aka Rawaï). This production team is the fusion between an instrumentalist and a beat maker, and became a common ground project for paying tribute to the early 90's US House sound. Their production process is mainly hardware based with an full analog recording studio and old school recording methods. Through their record collection, Lucas & Bruce fell for the NY deep house sound and co-founded the Studio 937 in 2018 as a place to create, experiment and record their music. Behind the desk, they play old school house music records in the NY tradition.

The Roundup part 1 is the first part of an annual recurring event: the big Heist family remix EP, where all artist names get put in a big bowl, and by luck of the draw, find themselves remixing (and remixed by) another Heist artist. We've got Max Graef remixing Detroit Swindle and turning the break up into a full on Graef-affair. The label heads themselves take 'The Organ Grinder"'s 'Change all the time' and turn into a deep Chicago-esque tune and completing the 12, there's Frits Wentink's take on Bluebottle, experimenting with his trademark shuffle. On the 10, Standout track of the first year of Heist 'Jungle' gets a lovely rework by Nachtbraker, giving it a more 4x4 feel than the original and The Organ Grinder who turns Frits Wentink's Schrewd into a full on Filter house cut. With previous releases including tracks from the likes of Agents of Time, JoeFarr, Nicolas Bougaieff, and raising talent R.O.S.H; plus support from from Djs like Laurent Garnier, who licensed one of the previously released tracks to his Tsugi 'Electro' mix (Francois V ‘Electro’ taken from Cod3QR001) Cod3QR’s profile is steadily growing as a label releasing quality music.

Tommy Largo is a big deal in the world of jacking house and here he lands on Greenhouse Recordings with plenty of evidence to support that. His sound comes steeped with Southern influences on opener 'BBQ Ribs' with its noodling jazz chords and spoken word mutterings making for a lively atmosphere over funky beats. The Jam Funk Remix has a Chicago bump to it with the jazzy keys left in place over well-swung drums. 'On No Not Again' hints at new jack swing with its steamy sax lines and effortlessly catchy groove before 'BBQ Ribs' (Oddphonic remix) closes out with the deepest sound of the lot, perfect for when the sun has gone down and the party heads indoors.

Mr Robert Armani has allowed us to reissue two of his most iconic tracks. Circus Bells and Ambulance are two classics of the Techno and House scene; Cannot be missing in any collection!

Sister Label to Vanguard Sound Anunnaki Cartel plays host to the fourth installment of the Vanguard Sound Series featuring 4 tracks from crew members Dakini9 (Lola), Chris Mitchell, DJ. Spider, and founder Amir Alexander. During the time since Vanguard Sound Vol. 3 launched the Vanguard Sound label, the series has reached a kind of cult classic status among the most dedicated U.S. underground vinyl collectors. As more and more people discover Alexander and his Crew of ultra talented DJ/Producers, their releases on discogs disappear and then reappear for three to five times their original price. Buy on sight status is quickly being achieved by all six members of this shadowy Crew.

The four tracks contained in this release all touch base with the vibes already established by the Crew, while continuing to expand the sonic palette as well.
Amir Alexander's Cypher is classic dirty analog at it's finest. With a slightly overdriven synth baseline leading the way, followed by restless percussion. Midway through, deep and mysterious pads create a dreamy texture as a spoken word passage muses about loyalty to those you came up with.

Chris Mitchell's 213NL raises the temperature with Chris's signature "Phrenetic" drum programming under an SH101type acid baseline oscillating wildly as melodic strings soar.
DJ Spider keeps things gutter with some Vanguard/ Plan B style street knowledge in the form of New World Resistance. An industrial/ futurist tech beat frenzy full of vocals dropping science about the New Word Order's plans for global domination.
Dakini9 closes the release by taking us to the depths and beyond with her deeply emotive work in the form of Rollercoaster to Nowhere. Sci fi atmospherics weave in and out of lushly serene pads while her always deadly serious percussion marks the time effortlessly. Time travel is evoked as the dulcet tones erode all sense of the here and now. Fall into infinity! For the collector's, this one is not to be missed as it is a rare Vanguard Volume on it's sister label Anunnaki Cartel with both logos on one record. Don't sleep..

To mark EPM’s 20th anniversary we’ve been releasing a series of EPs, each one focussing on a different genre. In May we brought you a taste of Techno with Robert Hood, Ben Sims, James Ruskin and Mark Broom each delivering their distinct production skills, whilst this September sees the release of our second EP bringing together cuts by some of Electro’s leading lights - The Advent & Zein Ferreira, Carl Finlow, Detroit’s Filthiest and Modulator (a.k.a. Freddie Fresh).

For the third and final EP in the series we turn our attention to House music, and once again we’ve commissioned four brand new and exclusive tracks from artists who we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years.

First up is none other than a Detroit Techno founding father and the TechnoSoul innovator himself Eddie Fowlkes, who delivers a classy opener in ‘1-2-3’ that’s deep yet vibrant and showcases his legendary status. Next is a fellow Motor City modernizer, Jon Dixon whose musicianship and productive talent takes him from jazz to techno which he skilfully brings to ‘Mack & Bewick’. Motech Records’ founder DJ 3000 brings us the spirit of ‘Summer 1995’ as he briefly steps away from techno to give us this uplifting sun-drenched stunner. Final track ‘The Beat’ comes from Rico & Sonny, the pseudonym of Chicago based DJ duo and production team of Adam Stolz and the talented Tim Baker, recorded before his devastating and untimely passing. His music lives on and we’d like to dedicate this EP to him.

The ‘EPM20’ compilation which features all the tracks from the EPs plus additional cuts from a host of other artists and EPM friends will follow this autumn.

Over the last couple of years, Christopher Rau has built a reputation as the finest ear canal masseuse in the contemporary house music scene, catching the attention of fellow Hamburger DJ Koze who has recruited him for this new three-track EP.

While having some days off in Berlin, Alex Lindblad from Backroom Entertainment suggested Steve to invite Spencer to his studio.
Now almost 22 years later, we are deligthed to release this historical session!

The established heavy hitting outfit, Nicepeople, kick things off for 2022 in true style. Dropping early next year is their latest slice of house heaven, the package comes in the shape of three originals from Gourment De Funk, and a nostalgic 'Chicago Boogie' trip with the legendary Roy Davis Jr. Sounds good already, right?

Title track 'A Love Supreme' initiates proceedings on the A side, slick percussion teases you into a journey of funk bliss, warm and infectious bass taking you on a cruise, with feel good strings all working in sweet harmony to make this a must have record. On a more driven tip is 'The Way You Move' another animated groove experience, and boasts some smooth sax action for the fans amongst us.

Roy Davis Jr’s 'Chicago Boogie' remix of 'The Way You Move' is an upbeat number for the peak time dance floors out there. The irresistible bass totally takes over your movements, you can not help but to move to a track like this, the veteran producer certainly not letting us down with this one, fitting the ethos of the label, and yet crammed with the signature sound we have all come to adore from Roy over the years. Closing off the EP is the 'Never Lost (GDF Morning Dub)' seductive deep house for the early morning dancers, crisp hi-hats brushing by as you feel yourself swallowed up into the clouds, one for the dreamers.

Nicepeople never seem to take the pedal off the gas, consistently pushing their brand and propelling top shelf house music from an array of inspiring producers of old and new, and they begin next year exactly as they mean to go on.
