RAWAX proudly welcomes Mr. Gari Romalis to the family!

Gari Romalis is at the forefront on the techno scene in Detroit, working with labels such as Tresor, Soma Records, Terrence Parker's Intangible label, Mike Banks' Happy Soul Records, Reggie Dokes' Psychostasia label and Cliff Thomas' D-Bass Records.

Gari has been djing for over 30 years and has played at Detroit's most infamous underground club, the "Music Institute", along with traveling overseas spinning at Tresor in Germany.

Gari has worked for Transmat Records as well as managing Detroit's famous Buy Rite Records. Gari is single handedly responsible for training and influencing some of Detroit's most famous DJ's and producers. Gari heads also the Butch Strange Group, LLC, which houses several labels under his direction. He's back in 2012 with 'The Last Man Satnding EP'.

For the first release of 2021, label owner Bloody Mary is launching a new series which aims to blur the lines between EBM, dark wave and acid. The release comes after the huge success of her collaboration with Cardopusher on last year’s Conformity Kills EP, and straight off the back of the label’s 10 year anniversary compilation. Alongside Bloody Mary herself, this 4 tracker features a hand-picked selection of established and fresh artists whose tracks she has been supporting over the years.

Kicking things off on the A-Side is Bloody Mary’s track “Snatch”, followed by the renowned French artist Millimetric who’s welcomed to Dame-Music for the first time with his track “Body Alert” on A2. On the flip we see two more label debuts, this time from Russian artist Meshes on B1 with his track “Roleplay”, while Colombian artist Delectro rounds out the package on B2 with the heavy hitting and aptly named “Panic Rage”.

Parris Mitchell returns on Chiwax Classic Edition part 23. His former release on Dance Mania #66 from 1994 comes remastered to hit the dance floors again.

Unwashed acid house and disco through a broken South London filter - from "70s New York bathhouses to "80s Chicago nightclubs via the Brixton Windmill. Bring a towel. Decius are brothers Liam and Luke May, founders of Trashmouth Records, together with Quinn Whalley (Paranoid London/Warmduscher) and Fat White Family frontman Lias Saoudi. Those with an ear to the ground will have picked up on a string of self-released 12"s over the last few years, supported by the likes of Daniel Avery, Honey Dijon, Ivan Smagghe, Mike Servito, 2 Many DJs, Moxie and Erol Alkan. Decius Vol. I is a lean entry point to their sordid world - dark, uncut, unrefined and unrepentant.

Jay Lumen needs no introduction as he has been important to the tech and techno scene for years now. After several No.1 and Top10 releases on labels like Drumcode, Octopus, Relief, Suara, OFF etc. we are happy to have him back on Noir Music with this fantastic tech stomper "Our Freedom" that has a little bit of everything.The remixes comes from La Fleur and Traumer. Both are among our favorite producers at the moment and we are happy to write that both did an excellent remix job making sure we got fantastic alternative versions here.

Crazy For Your Love (featuring vocalist Mufan) is his latest. If you're into the 90's sound of the Windy City, this one is definitely for you. Written by Badie and House Legend Dajae, & features 3 different mixes that are equally as good.
A Time To Dance takes a deeper path, but compliments the title
track very well.

Following the success of their 'Earl' EP on Switzerland's Hive Records, Berlin-based House staple Oliver $ reunites with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules to bring their anticipated debut release on Defected. 'Pushing On' opens with an infectious percussive medley composed of tropical triangles and melodious 808-like cowbells. With the gradual introduction of the moody, Frankie Knuckles inspired, bass line and tailing piano chords, the track slowly transforms into an energetic homage to classic Chicago House. Quick to take centre stage the track also features dusky vocal samples from Quantic Soul Orchestra, merging effortlessly with the wispy cymbal crashes, the song's title and central lyrical theme, 'Pushing On', falls and confidently rises to drive the track to its spirited climax. And for those who don't want the vocals there's a dub thrown in for good measure. Already household names in their home countries, 'Pushing On' is sure set to solidify Oliver $ and Jimi Jules as international House providers.

Childhood returns with another mind blowing 4 tracker 12" by Mr. G! This record continues to elaborate on the rather obscure path that G already explored with last years album The Forced Force is not the True Force, yet focuses a bit more on the magic of the dance floor.
