Can You Feel It

KMS
14.11.2016

From the vaults! 1992 KMS records pressure straight from Detroit, still capable of causing much damage on dance-floors in 2016! This 4 track monster pulls together a pretty heavy cast of Detroit Techno and deep House royalty in the shape of Chez Damier, MK and Derrick May all contributing various mixes and versions across the EP. If deep, driving, soul drenched House is your bag you will be in heaven with "Can you feel it", a truly classic slice of sophisticated dance music indeed. All of the mixes are killers, but it's the "MK Dub" mix, also known as the "New York Dub" that really steals the show, here MK and May combine to craft a classy, slamming, emotive string driven jam that pushes all the right buttons. As usual, essential retrospective action here from one of the most legendary dance labels out of Detroit. All tracks remastered and fully licensed with the sole permission of Mr. Kevin Saunderson. 100% legit and not ready to quit!

Side A. Of Love Mystery-This is from the same EP that brought us "Nuthin Wrong". Since it's original release in 1995 on Dance Mania Records these tracks have proven that house music wasn't and isn't and shall never die.

Side B. Kan U Feel It- Originally released in 1997 on Nepenta Records UK. A B side jack track with a heavy bassline and that raw Chicago Ghetto House authenticity that comes with the territory. Ready for today's "Jacker's" and DJ's ......

EUREKA
23.01.2018

With the theme of 'Quality House Music Never Betray', the label EUREKA! is proudly announcing their 2nd release by Jamie 3:26, known as one of Chicago's true House Music soldiers, with the style very closely linked to the sound of Ron Hardy, and the newcomer from Amsterdam, Masalo.

A strong bassline that is very reminiscent of the Chicago classic, high-speed hi-hat, the vocal with strong message that inspired by 'Red Light District' from Masalo's hometown, Amsterdam and with melody of organ that is gradually expanding throughout the track.
Side B, is Dub mix with peak-time track, definitely for the dance floor.

William Caycedo - Sol Explorer Ep

For the first release on Girasole Records we introduce you to William Caycedo from Amsterdam. The first track Dreamcatcher is a real deep but banging house track with a heavy bassline and it lets you fly away.
Return to free side has this slow vibes but there is always changing something untill the end. Departure is all about that bassline and that sexy percussion. Scapegoat is just a monster on the B-side.

Citylow Records
29.01.2018

The Berlin-based Citylow label has been releasing quality house and techno for some time now. Born from a mix of musical influences from the metropolitan suburban life, the label is characterized by vintage, analogue sounds, modular systems and the many other influences of label manager Alfredo Trastulli aka F.T.G. The heart of the label is Citylow Humans Crew, a movement of underground artists around the world who day-after-day match their story with an underground music philosophy.

Staunchly dedicated to vinyl culture and with an ethos that tends to veer toward assured, confident sounding house and techno, theirs is a modus operandi that's served them very well indeed. For their latest, the attention switches to Fuckthegovernment.Ltd label boss F.T.G, who hooks up with regular collaborator Brando Torri aka Siyha Kuma for another release that speaks volumes of their talents. The A side features the remix, which comes at us from none other than the fucking parisienne talent Jef K, who in this instance has hooked up with Mikael Weill to supply a differing take on the original. Jef K of course, is a man who needs no introduction to house music fans. One of Paris' most acclaimed DJs and producers, he has a monthly gig at famed club Concrete, where he's renowned for sumptuous basslines and exquisite house music. Gritty and relentless, their remix is characterised by some steely bass hits and a stubborn refusal to compromise. A gnarly jam that soon comes to life courtesy of a quite brilliant bassline, this one is sure to make an impression wherever it's let out of the bag. Exceptional stuff we're sure you'll agree. Elsewhere, the B side features the original, which we soon realise is where the aforementioned remix earned its industrial stripes.

Dj Deeon - Doez Dance Mania Sampler 1

By now, Chicago's home of the ghetto house movement, Dance Mania, should need no introduction!
If you didn't already know, they are the original purveyors of that hard-ass, stripped back, tough, hitting electronic funk, they've never held back with their output. Operating since the late 80's the label has gained legions of fans over 2 decades as well as a certain notoriety and one of their most well-known artists has got to be the legendary DJ Deeon and his various production pseudonyms! This, the very first of a series of samplers focusses on some of his unreleased cuts, rarities and classics from the DM catalogue.
Kicking things off we're greeted by the classic 'In This House', smashing toms, claps and sped up kids vox all combine to form a bonfide ghetto classic. 'DO U C' takes us back to the Muzic Box, Deeon nods to Ron Hardy on this slammin' version of 'Coming On Strong', a chopped up Discoid monster with a fat-ass 808 rumble underneath. High grade indeed. Time for an unreleased cut, yep, courtesy of Deeon himself we have 'The 221', dug outta the archive and included here for your enjoyment. Again, this that genuine, classic DJ Deeon gear.
Flip it over to side B is the all-out acid burner 'Hypnosis', taken from Deeon's rare as Playground Productionz double pack 'Vintage Computation' from 1995. Absolutely smashing this one, and what a way to ignite things! 'R U Sure' is next and is one of those insane, 'WTF is this' Chicago jams, spaced-out percolating chaos of the highest degree! Watch this one work when you play it. 'House Werk' rounds out side A, first time on wax for this one, originally only available on a mid 90's mixtape we are treated to this hi-energy jacker that will smack the dance-floor, guaranteed! Not for the amateurs! Every track on here has been remastered and repressed with the full consent and involvement of DJ Deeon and Parris Mitchell, selected and programmed from Deeon's private archives and DAT tapes for Above Board, London. 100% hater free.

A born entertainer is what he is called. One of the most talked about artist out of Detroit in some time. His unique blend of soulful grooves, with filtered deep disco remixes, combined with in your face over powering tech house seasonings give his music a special blend that is none mistakably his own. The Detroit native, is a self taught Musician, Producer and Writer. Dwayne is no new comer to Detroit's electronic music scene. He has been a DJ, and Producer of funky house, and early techno since it's inception. Dwayne started off as a Jazz drummer & percussionist. He was heavily influenced by the Funky, Progressive and Electronic sound developed in Detroit, Chicago, and New York. He was truly inspired by DJ's such as; Juan Atkins, Farley, Mike Hitman Wilson, Frankie Knuckles, Steve Silk Hurley, Mr. Fingers, Louie Vega, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry, and Larry Heard. Dwayne was also deeply influenced by a DJ named Electrifying Mojo. His radio show was responsible for inspiring so many Detroit artist, and was Dwayne's introduction to electronic music. The fire was ignited for this artist, and there was no turning back! After spinning local parties and working with legendary Detroit underground promoters, he worked his way up to playing a long list of legendary clubs. The club he has the best memories of is Luomo in the late 80's. Luomo was where Dwayne really learned to fly, and developed his unique style that is still displayed to this date. A four on the floor, heavy bassed, soulful, energetic, melodic, percussion filled, hi tech, deep house sound.

Dwayne next spent 2 years living in the Finsbury Park area of London, where he absorbed a wide variety of influences such as British, UK, German, French, Italian, African & Jamaican culture's; as well as the vibe around the London's underground. He credits his true 'DJ & music production education' to attending Eastern Michigan University, whose students also included Kevin Saunderson & Eddie Fowlkes - along with weekly visits from Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and other rising stars. 'The assortment of young talent and inspiration for music was absolutely 'off the charts,' exclaims Jensen, who became both friends and DJ contemporaries with them all. He continued to support, and inspire the foundation of a new musical evolution of which we now call Techno. 'The thing back then was to create music that we could all play at DJ gig's on the weekend, and from that we basically started to experiment.' I think that all of these collaborative efforts definitely worked out for the best!' Dwayne and Kevin Saunderson worked together on many projects. Dwayne released an EP called Rebellious on the KMS label, and worked on many Remixes for that label.

Dwayne was now ready to let all his experiences, and talents out of the box. He started his Fathom Records label in the late 90s. The label gave him full control to express his true voice in the House music world. He released countless 'dance floor -filling anthems' such as: The 'Traveler EP', 'Dancer EP', and the smash hit 'Believe' featuring Miyon, with Remixes from Norm Tally (which became a cult hit overseas). Jensen also released 'Don't Fight It' featuring Courtney Jackson - an artist that toured with Aretha Franklin in 2003. He released his first full-length album called 'Digital People' the album featured Billy Love, a sultry Chilean poet/vocalist named Kat, and Jensen on vocals. The latest release on Soiree is Detroit Deep Constructed, the EP has received great praise. Deejay Astral & Fede Lng - Pack The Pipe

A couple of steps down and you've entered the grooviest cave of undiscovered strobe light excesses. Smoke machines and automatic funk. If spaghetti and meat balls would produce, they'd be named Fede Lng and Deejay Astral. Bringing serious thumpers to Susan, their 'Pack The Pipe' journey is wrapped in pirate material, recognizable vocals and the longing for a never-ending after party after the next after party. Empty your ashtray, crack open six cold ones, turn off the halogen lamps and start thinking.

Inner City
27.11.2014

Inner City Records returns with their fourth release, continuing with the ethos of providing first class, dance floor-driven house music with groove and attitude.
InnerCity welcomes the return of an artist who has been there from the very first release and one that fits the InnerCity sound perfectly. Leigh D Oliver, hailing from Yorkshire (UK) has firmly established himself as an artist synonymous with top-notch house music. Leigh's passion for 'proper house' coupled with his raw talent has resulted in him gaining numerous chart positions and releases on prestigious labels such as Large Music, Underground Source and Freche Fruchte.
With its heavy kick, rumbling bass, smooth chords and sweet vocal hooks, '(Sic)' kicks off the release in absolute style, highlighting why Leigh is one of our absolute favourite producers here at InnerCity.
For the second track, Leigh returns, this time combining forces with Lost Records owner Andy Lee. With two producers of this caliber, the results were always going to be excellent. Andy, from the North East (UK) has seen releases and remixes on labels such as Love Not Money, Spinnin' Records, Nervous Records and his DJ career has taken him worldwide, playing gigs in Moscow, Switzerland, Ibiza and beyond. 'Moves Ya' is a first class slab of deep & moody house that does exactly what it says on the tin. A track teaming with deep chord hooks, clever vocal samples and low bass, Moves Ya is perfect for the darker, sweatier clubs.
Next up, InnerCity's very own Roland Nights brings us 'Let It Rain', a dance-floor driven slab of straight-up house with jacking percussion, warm chords and soulful vocal cuts. 'Let It Rain' showcases Roland's passion for classic-sounding house music which has seen previous releases on labels such as Lost My Dog, Large Music and Amenti Music.
Last but by no means least, we head over to the Ukraine, gladly welcoming Mystep who lays down an absolute beast of a house track that is filled with energy, classic sounding chords and rolling bass, guaranteed to work on any floor.
