NTFO - Lusy
ADM020
AdMaiora Music
excl11.09.201811.SEP.18

HouseDeepTech

AdMaiora hits release number 20 in style with a fresh EP from Romanian established duo NTFO which includes two superb remixes by Lauren Lo Sung and Ilario Liburni. The guys of NTFO (Jargon, 20/20 Vision, Objectivity) are familiar faces for the label as we had the pleasure to release their remix of Ray Okpara's latest 'Sligerstai' which got tons of positive feedback and is currently dominating our Beatport top 10. Now they return with 'Lusy EP' - a lush pleasure of deep house vibes infused with their very own tech groove trademark.

Opener 'Lusy' rotates around a simple but effective shaken groove with thorny kicks and a super crafted sub bassline. The main vocal sample only appears in the right moments and adds a extra sense of elegance to the wandering synths and pads.
Up next, 'Unvelied' goes more minimal for a rubbery tech house piece where little jumbled percussion are immersed into a dark dimensions of gloomy bass and low freaky vocals. The electric synths give an extra spin to the track, derivering a slick house number and we're sure that the melody will stuck in your head for a long time.

On the flip side we have Liverpool's rising talent Lauren Lo Sung on remix duties for 'Lusy'. For Lauren, 2017 was her biggest year so far and 2018 is proving even better. She is consistently delivering well treated club hits on labels such as DJ Steaw's Rutilance, Vatos Locos and Circus, also co-founding her very own 'eleven records' and running sell-out LOLiFE parties in Liverpool, UK.  Lauren's deep stripped-back style focuses on, dub techno with a fresh, organic housy feel and this remix for 'Lusy' is no exception. With a crescendo hands-in-the-air version, Lauren arranges the remix on a pluck that dominates the track above teasing drums and intergalactic pads. A one-to-watch remix from one of the ones to watch stars of the near future.

Lastly goes the remix from Italo-Belgian Ilario Liburni who close the EP with a chunky and funky interpretation of 'Lusy'. Ilario had some massive vinyl hits lately and he also dedicates a lot of efforts on his own Invade and Cardinal labels. His version is dreamy and driving with bubbling synths and an infectious sense of loopines until the breakdown comes in with vague lo-fi synths and strings before it drops with the whispery vocals lending it into a late night feel.

CRYSTAL MAZE & R-A-G - DR. CLAW / LARRY VENOM
COS_MOS_007
cos_mos
12inch26.09.201926.SEP.19

HouseDeepTech

For COS_MOS's next trick they serve up a special 12” that features a brand new single from M>O>S super group R-A-G, also known as MaSpaventi, Aroy Dee and G-String. It comes backed with a re-release of one of the key tracks of the previously released Crystal Maze album on aDepth Audio. A fierce and full 45rpm re-cut of 'Dr Claw' that has been a secret weapon of Aroy Dee for many years. It's a raw cosmic adventure, with warm solar winds blowing over prickly drums. Twisted bass and knotted pads wrap round the groove as a detuned lead synth heads into a Legowelt-ish future. 'Larry Venom', stirs things up with a deconstructed, off kilter mix of beeps and drones with marching drums adding to the feeling that this is a robot party in meltdown. This is a brilliantly left of centre EP of intergalactic house.

Klauss & Craig - Dj Deep & Traumer Remixes
PLE65395
Planet E
12inch03.12.201803.DEC.18

HouseTech

For their final release of 2018, Planet E present DJ Deep & Traumer's remixes of Klauss & Craig, the collaboration between Argentinian synth ensemble Klauss and Carl Craig, which debuted with the 'Momentum' EP earlier in the year. Out November 30th, the three-track remix EP's origins were as a pair of spec mixes by DJ Deep (Cyril Etienne) and his regular collaborator Roman Poncet aka Traumer. The duo found inspiration from the original Klauss & Craig EP that led to spontaneous experiments on their own remixes. Soon a trio of versions emerged, with two by the duo together, and an additional solo mix by Poncet under his Traumer alias. Etienne sent their work to Craig, who immediately decided to give them their own release on Planet E, in turn helping Etienne achieve one of his own dreams to release on the legendary Detroit label. Weaving intricate percussive themes with analogue melodies they deliver two takes on 'Repeat After Me' - 'Free Your Mind' and 'Free Your Soul' - before Traumer, inspired by the process, goes on his own for the final track 'Repeat After Me - Reduced Mind', creating undulating bass loops which glide under warm pads.

Black Spuma - Crunch Level EP
FBR069
FUTURE BOOGIE RECORDINGS
12inch20.09.201920.SEP.19

HouseDeepTechNu DiscoTechnoTechno

When two dudes collide in a cosmic paradise, very special things happen. Black Spuma, otherwise known as regular transcendental misfits Phillip Lauer and Fabrizio Mammarella, come correct with a new EP of enchanted grooves for Futureboogie.
Breaking their run of EPs for the International Feel Recordings label, a trio of cuts are lined up on the ‘Crunch Level’ EP.
Title track, ‘Crunch Level’, is a throbbing, pulsating, bit-crunching beast of a track, a full mind and body workout that evokes the darker shades of early acid and new beat. ‘Agguato’ also packs a punch, with drums so big that Stock, Aitken & Waterman would most definitely approve, whilst a waves of hedonistic tones cut through feint melodicas and space invader tropes for a mind melting moment.
Never to end on a whimper, Adamantine goes out with a bang, with an ecstatically buoyant rhythm section and glacial melodies that’ll be transporting you back to the bright neon lights and dry ice of some long forgotten 80’s sweatbox.

Max Duke - My Sins
RLM072V
Redlight Music
12inch27.09.201927.SEP.19

HouseElectronicaTechTechnoElectroTechno

Max Duke's first LP “My Sins” is a journey between house and Techno via electronica, with a unique french house touch that forms an unusual and cohesive debut album. It’s the sound of the musical universe and the influences that have taken hold of the french artist. The album unfolds over the course of 11 tracks, each piece serving as a building block and the result of many months of Max’s work. It is the product of experimenting in the studio, seizing the mood of the moment and reflecting on life experiences. Each song has its own story and helps to complete and close the circle of this captivating musical journey. Guitar, piano and synths are his words in the story; the channel that perfectly transmits all the emotions and feelings bottled up in the album. The range of moods, tempos, impressions, sounds and rhythms oscillates between
downtempo and techno with hints of breaks and house.
Straight up dancefloor cuts like “Almost Done”, “Echoes” and title track “My Sins” rub shoulders with the closed-eye mind wandering soundtrack of “Covered”. “A New Reality” emerges as a tribute to 90s trance. The two sections of “Characters” explore an instrumental middle ground between almost orchestral and minimalism. “My Sins” is the work of an artist in constant movement and evolution who opens the door to his unique world in full. The album will be released 30th September on Redlight Music.

HouseTech

Newcastle-born DJ and producer Patrick Topping has unveiled accomplished new EP ‘Turbo Time EP’ , out 9th August via his own TRICK label.

The groove-laden three-track release represents a clear departure from the darker techno sound of TRICK’s maiden release ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ - further demonstrating Topping’s versatility as a producer. Kicking off proceedings, the EP’s title track is underpinned by an infectious vocal sample and the funkiest of beats. While over on the B-side, ‘Let Wa Gan’ is a darker, moodier number and ‘Galaxy’, featuring the scintillating vocals of Liset Alea, is a celestial melodic stomper. The collaboration with Liset came about after Topping heard her vocals on Alex Kid’s ‘Don’t Hide It’. The track quickly became a staple in his sets and he made the decision to reach out to the Cuban-born singer shortly after.

rRoxymore - Face to Phase
DBALP006
Don't Be Afraid
12inch01.10.201901.OCT.19

HouseElectronicaTechTechnoTechno

rRoxymore's long-anticipated debut album, Face To Phase, was born of her annual creative hibernation practice. Whereas her previous appearances for Don't Be Afraid - Thoughts Of An Introvert, Parts 1 & 2 - revealed inner worlds of saturated colour and natural expressiveness, she retreated into her studio at the turn of winter 2018 occupied with the idea of dismantling the dancefloor-centric pressure paradigm.

The resulting album, Face to Phase, finds rRoxymore methodically and mindfully stripping back to fundamentals: rumbling minimalist dub, sparse polymetric drums, boldy unpredictable melodic narratives and subtleties which hover out-of-reach or disappear into vapour. Forged by the spirit of club music cultures, Face To Phase favours deep listening; resisting the temptation to reflect on the past or project towards the future, it's an album that is firmly rooted in the contemporary.

Sparked by her own archive of field recordings, and produced primarily but not exclusively in the box, Face To Phase adds several facets to rRoxymore's already wide repertoire. The pensive and beatless opener "Home Is Where The Music Is" was inspired by her longtime friend Planningtorock, while "Forward Flamingo" is a spiraling dream-state of house music dissociation; elsewhere "Energy Points" remains anchored to the ocean floor, radiating heavy dub waves, "Passages" is a ghoulish skeleton of UK break beats, "What's The Plan" closes the album in a blissfully blunted fashion, while twisting, shape-shifting rhythms push and pulse "PPS21" into series of ever-evolving shapes and forms.

Through and in between the eight songs of Face To Phase, rRoxymore fortifies her status as a seasoned artist, grounded by over a decade of live performance and touring, collaboration, composition and experimentation. With a new live performance collaboration with a percussionist set to debut the LP at Atonal on 1st September, rRoxymore is primed to expand her reputation even further as one of the most vital and distinctive artists on the fringes of contemporary club culture.

Johannes Volk - Sawtooth Novel Ep
ARTC002
Artcub
12inch28.09.201728.SEP.17

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Sawtooth Novel is a killer track, a special weapon intended for the dancefloor. The rest of the EP turns around powerful techno to more deeper and mysterious atmospheres. After his brilliant works on Token and Cocoon Records, Johannes Volk continues to impress us ! Some Johannes's words about his work for Artcub Records : "The title track Sawtooth Novel is my little hommage to the old Sägezahn sound. There was a Sägezahn renaissance in the Rhein Main area end of the 90's, which was a huge influence for me when I went to clubs during this time. Counterbalance has a rather subtle approach, the track lives from it's effects and filtering. For the others tracks I want to express the more darker and dramatic side of techno, which is also well-equipped for the more excessive dancefloor hours

LAROYE - AWON IYE
MGBK003
MAGIC BLACK
12inch01.02.201901.FEB.19

HouseDeepTech

Magic Black is happy to share with you this third release by already featured label artist LAROYE. This very particular ep showcases this time his talent to do an unique mixture of afro, lapsteel guitars and yoruba inspired theme and grooves. This ep's roots are deep in the collaboration with Maïa Barouh, whose magnificient flute playing abilities give a soulful afro driven groove and a cosmic touch that reminds us the best hours of Clausell or Chez. Her playing on Awon Iye was very inspiring for Martin Iverson, better known as Atjazz, who picked the tune and turned it into a blasting uptempo broken jazz fusion that he can only create. The opening track is also a must have track which breaks barriers between house, bossa, lapsteel and dreamy vocals. Already a Favourite for many radio deejays. Last but not least, Basamsike is a deep driven afro conga track with vocals coming from a beautiful Malian singer who stays secret for now. Here you have cosmic, groove, melodies and uncommon patterns all together in the best way :definitely what Magic Black has always came for. Tip!

Bontan feat. Bengle - 10 Days (Osunlade Remix)
CRM218
Crosstown Rebels
12inch04.06.201904.JUN.19

HouseDeepTechTechnoTechno

Bontan makes an eagerly anticipated return to Crosstown Rebels with 10 days, a scintillating two track release that features a stunning remix from Osunlade.

10 Days begins things in an emotive fashion, as rustling hi hats pave the way for featured vocalist Bengle to state, “ten more days”. This echoes before a bleepy yet similarly driving kick wobbles along, as the sample plays out, to form an emotional, dance-ready cut. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul remix is a similarly moving piece, as warm pads are coupled with a dubby kick, before the same poignant vocal calls upon us in a heartrending manner.

UK native Bontan has produced a number of the scene’s standout tracks. A regular on the likes of Hot Creations, Circus Recordings and Crosstown Rebels, his releases ‘Call You Back’ and ‘The First Time’ furthered his worldwide reputation as a breaking act. Such an ear for the perfect dancefloor record has not relented, as he continues to push his melodic, acid driven sound in an ever-growing direction, one that traverses the many forms of house and techno alike. Osunlade is a musician and producer, an artist who has been releasing records for a decade now. Someone with many strings to his bow, he has produced eight albums and debuted on Innervisions in 2012 with a three-track remix package of his esteemed Envision vinyl release.

HouseDeepTech

Hot Creations welcome an incredible collaboration from four of the house scene’s most talked about artists, as Jean Pierre, Jesse Calosso, Harvard Bass and Kid Enigma team up on the mighty Krispy.
The release begins with the driving, high-tempo title cut. A raw kick is complemented by the infectious vocals from Kid Enigma, as whistling keys are aided by intermittent pads. Bogus completes the EP in a similar fashion: pronounced kicks merge on whip-like percussion, as the BPM ratchets up with the help of fizzing hi hats and another pumping vocal.

Jean Pierre is no stranger to the production realm, having found fame on some of the scenes most respected imprints, including Cuttin Headz, Defected and Desolat. Another affiliate of The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin Headz, Jesse Calosso has released a selection of quality releases on the label, as well as a standout EP on Tuskegee. Harvard Bass’ knack for the perfect dancefloor melody has been picked up by the biggest labels in the game including Relief, Turbo Recordings, Saved, Do Not Sleep and VIVA Music. Having worked with many of his contemporaries in recent years, Kid Enigma has previously collaborated with Mat.Joe and Nathan Barato, releasing on the likes of Kaluki and Defected in the process. He also released on Hot Creations earlier this year, featuring on the huge Back & Forth from DJ Sneak and Jesse Perez.

The 'industry' of dance music can be as soul-crushing as any other. Those thrills and spills of late, loud nights come with a best-before expiry date, after which even the most seasoned selector-producer-scenemaker begins to wrinkle their nose. To have experienced it all over 15+ years and seek to see it unfold again through fresh eyes, what sort of lunatic would willingly put themselves through that V would. So it's a new character, but who was the mysterious V in a past life Make your own conclusions. A little digging will lead you toward the origin story, but sometimes the pleasure comes from the unknowing. Opt to enjoy the Silence. Silence, however, is not the focal point for V. In fact, this new form is a way to discard baggage and revitalise the process of music making. Tremors had become to show up in recent years on record labels in Glasgow and London, flickers of subterranean volcanic activity. Yet what proved to be rising was no big bang, nor even a phoenix from the ashes - but closer perhaps to a Nautilus. A relic by some standards but a pretty point of curiosity to others, slowly bobbing to the surface. Something ever-present and familiar to thousands, yet with mysteries left to be revealed. But hey - what does V stand for anyhow For Vilnius By origin and by where the heart lies, yes, although V for Vedett is also an acceptable answer given the artist's transposed second home of Belgium; so too is V for Volkswagen, given the production work put in around Frankfurt as of late. For Vendetta Too strong, although V does bear a grudge match against hobbyists and dilettantes. Newborn Jr. - World Museum EP
KOK2
King Of Kong Records
12inch17.09.201917.SEP.19

HouseDeepTechTechnoTechno

King Of Kong Records, a new venture of Artur8, Anton Klint & Edvin E. presents it’s new release, the “World Museum” EP - a modern classic from Newborn Jr.

Warsaw-based producer Adam Brocki released a string of collaborative records - with Earth Trax (Bartosz Kruczynski) for Phonica, Dopeness Galore, Echovolt and Rhythm Section, or as Private Press for Rekids and Indigo Area. His mature, carefully crafted sound, stripped yet powerful, now finds its place on King Of Kong.

“What What What” starts the EP off on a right foot: broken rhythm, clever voice snippets, cosmic pads and heavy bassline reminds of some archetypal Shake productions, off-kilter yet somehow infectious. “World Museum” rolls out relentlessly on a steady kickdrum, and again the backbone is held firmly by bass. Swirling noises come and go, adding a dash of melancholy into this club-ready tool. “NJ Public Pool” again sounds like a long-lost timeless classic, with just right amount of melody and irresistible party vibe. It’s accompanied by a moodier and denser remix from Warehouse Preservation Society (aka TK Disco and Tavish (ESP Institute)), a druggy chugger for late night and dark corners. Rounding off the EP, Yourhighness of Rollerboys & Cocktail D'Amore Records fame straightens the beat and pushes up the tempo of “What What What” to deliver a proper party stomper. A classic sound of two decades of dance music underground updated for here and now.

Hooky and melodious, fidgety and urgent, these tracks will electrify any moment. Joyous and warm, a beam of sun on your neck, a warm breeze through your hair, they're bound to bring a toothy smile.

The Black Loops remixes lend “Sense of Love” a more mischievous air, adding another layer of complexity to the EP and rounding out its character.

JBS - Backbroke Hills

HouseTech

"In these times of dawless jamming JBS from Karlskrona brings you a release where the A-side is entirely made with samples on a ensoniq eps, while the B-side is entirely made on a computer. Which also means this record is the perfect gift the analogue hardware purist that despises all use of digital equipment. All tracks are somehow on the classic new york house vein with a distant homage to the nearly disturbing sample use heard in stuff from labels such as nu groove, but with the B?rft twist! Worth noting is that the first track on the B-side is a re-edit of a track made a long time ago by Pean Romael where his little sisters friend was the unlikely guest vocalist. Blasphemy Release! Get it now before its banned!" -DJ Joakim Cosmo

HouseDeepTech

allen einfach einmal ‚Danke‘ sagen.

Enveloping us in the very constant mysterious and magnetic sound universe that Alci previously has built in his past releases, the new EP "HIRAGANA" reports on the multitude of experiences he has had lately and his subsequent undertaken creative evolution. This organic enrichment, which is an addition or better said, an enhancement in Alci's soundscape, result from the various inspirations Alci underwent during his travels and time spent surrounded by nature as well as urban nightlife.

Deep Dark Blue - When We Are Together
ACR007
Acid Camp Records

HouseTechBeatsLounge

DEEP DARK BLUE presents an album filled with gentle surprises. When We Get Together takes you through lightly psychedelic melodies for the heart and mind to get lost in. Though highly polished as a production, a sense of underlying spontaneity implies a process that's closer to an improvised jam session than a planned composition. The lush synths, complex percussion, and shimmering melodies create rich backdrops for reveries. Each song bobs and weaves through opposite contrasts, often going back and forth between melancholic to bright. Yet each song remains cohesive and leaves you wondering how you arrived at the end of each track.
