We're pleased to announce the next outing from Robert James & Burnski's new project, North Phase, here on Seven Hills!

Comprising four brilliant, groove-laden tracks, the Cyclone EP is one of our favourites so far. The title track, Cyclone, bumps and rolls atop a sneaky bassline, and keeps you locked in with a unique, shifted synth hook. The similarly pumping Time Zone Unknown keeps the groove straighter, with added gnarliness from a crisp synth line designed to cut its way to the centre of the dancefloor.

Over on the flip, the dark and super-heavy Room 1 spirals and builds before hitting hard with a chestplate bassline. The more lilting Groove Merchant sits on the B2, slightly sci-fi and rounding things off in style.

Rising French trio Oden & Fatzo head to LOCUS as they reveal their four-track ‘Observatory’ EP.

A project combining three of France’s most exciting emerging talents, Parisian duo Oden & fellow live artist and producer Fatzo have emerged from the capital’s rich electronic scene and established themselves as some of the most exciting new names around. Having originated from individual projects within Paris’ house landscape, the minimal live production trio have quickly established their own sound within the genre, combining crisp, complex grooves with broken rhythms that combine minimal, house, and techno influences with a resonant, modern twist. Following a string of releases via Moscow Records, Salty Nuts, and hedZup records, the collective now head to FUSE’s LOCUS imprint as they unveil five fresh cuts across their latest EP, ‘Observatory’.

Opening via the undeniably garage-influenced two-step drums, rumbling basslines, and rich stabs of opening cut ‘Denver In The Jungle’, the trio quickly set the pace for their high-octane, tried-and-tested, club-driven sound. ‘Equinox’ welcomes classic house flavours with soulful vocal interjections backed by soaring organ melodies and shuffling percussion, before title track ‘Observatory’ combines laser-sharp drums with sweeping leads, and rubbery funk-fuelled bass licks to open the B-side in classy fashion. To close, ‘Solar Inertia’ welcomes a deeper journey through bleeps and sparkling electronics guided by refined drum licks and rush-inducing builds and breaks, whilst digital bonus track ‘Compton’s Visions’ switches up proceedings and introduces a drum-led workout accented by hazy guitar licks and spacey melodies.

“I met Nando ​(Signal Kommt)​ in 2003 or so. I was resident at the fabled Milenio Club in Montevideo – the birthplace for a generation of friends and DJs. I’d see Nando there at the weekends, then during the week we would hang out at a local record shop, and over time we
forged a beautiful friendship. That era was amazing! We were crazy about UK tech house and breakbeat and we also dug a lot of US and French sounds: Siesta, Tango, Robsoul, Brett Johnson, David Duriez... But you would always hear different styles. Even with the minimal explosion there were other places where you could hear deep house through to drum n bass. In Uruguay the public is very ​open and curious about all sounds​, old and new, and they do their research.
I see myself more as a guide than a teacher. I’ve been around since the beginning and I love sharing my knowledge to help others. When it comes to technique, many years of experience have taught me one critical lesson: each DJ has ​to discover their own path​ as much as possible. This is especially true in South America where it’s hard to get hold of music. We really have to be creative so we don’t all sound the same!”

After impressing with his contribution to ‘Watergate 25’, emerging Spanish talent Upercent steps up for his first full-length EP on the label.

In recent years the Valencia native has emerged with releases on labels of the ilk of Kompakt, Diynamic and the tastemaker favourite microCastle Records. We got our first taste of his talents on Watergate Records when the superb ‘La Lluita’ featured exclusively as part of ‘Watergate 25 – Adana Twins’ compilation. Late last year he made his debut at the club, where his distinctive aesthetic connected naturally.

The new ‘Flor De Lotus EP’ exemplifies this style; a fusion of organic and analogue, Upercent’s productions are always thoughtful and emotive. ‘Somia’ is laden with cosmic synths, hints of the Mediterranean, and a dance-ready beat to boot.
The intricate percussion evident in ‘Somia’ carries through in ‘Pulcre’; another rhythmic piece infused with an enigmatic vocal and a pulsating bass that continues to build throughout. ‘Flor De Lotus’ culminates with a high-energy, late-night remix of ‘Pulcre’ from Romanian DJ/Producer BOg, who also graced the ‘Watergate 25’ compilation.

Claudio Crispo instigates the launch of his new label Everybody In with an EP of low slung House music that has inspiration and vibes from many different backgrounds. This EP is a journey through Claudio's various inspirations bringing together the vocal talents of Londoner Jordan James for the title track "Lost in time". This track is in a time-honoured format of classic analogue rhythm paired with soulful vocals and a finesse to the synthwork which transport you to a better place.

Label namesake "Everybody In" strikes a different somewhat melodic mood. Simple Piano work juxtaposes clever breakbeat drums. A truly different sounding record.

"Lights on" brings vocals from French rapper Jeune Slow deftly into a dreamy beatscape with a chunky rhythm and intricate production work. House music to its core with the central message that you should never give up on your dreams.

Inspired by the early 90's Trance scene "Sunnyhill" is a blissed out trip that begs for sunshine and sunset parties. Characterized by an "instantly recognizable" synth riff this track shows the variety on show with this record.

Closing out the EP "Telescope" features real orbital sounds, cut finely with an almost Lo-Fi production aesthetic with a broken beat backbone and an electro edge. Fantastic - a truly unique EP.

Artist Bio

Claudio Crispo aka Banku is a London-based electronic music producer and visual artist. Originally from Naples, Italy, Claudio has released a handful of EPs since his move to the UK in 2012, displaying a propulsive and wide-ranging aesthetic that encompasses house, techno, and IDM styles. Finding inspiration in his bustling cosmopolitan surroundings, Claudio is heavily inspired by the blockbuster sounds of the 1990s UK electronic music scene and trance. His recent collaborations include names such as the American band Tallows, the Neapolitan singer Meg, Diarmo and Fernando Lagreca from Barcelona.

Circles & Stones release their debut EP „Various Gems
I“ with four various artists who, at first glance, hail from
varying corners of the music spectrum.
The EP opens with "Cloud 9", an ode to summer by
Thomas Atzmann. Born in the morning at a time when
the world is just waking up and creativity flows freely, its
joyful tune and catchy breakbeat set the tone for an
uplifting kind of melancholia, tugging at your heart
strings all the while. "Kabale & Liebe", in which O/Y
interprets Robosonic’s original version with his own
recipe for organic grunginess, combines euphoric synth
lines with organic percussions and haunting vocals,
finally releasing the tension that builds gradually within
the track’s own story.
Side B begins with Arutani’s slow burner "Back in Time",
a track that conveys a flavour of darkness that’s never
heavy and always intriguing. The groove is easy, almost
playing with a lightness that permeates the whole track,
all the while alternating with a bassline that gives a
contrasting twang and reminds us of his individual,
pervasive sound. And last but not least, Midas 104
delivers a multi-layered, textured production for a perfect
close called "Quixotopia". The melody cascades into
waves of throbbing synthesisers, complex percussive
patterns and static sounds that are characteristic of his
style, and gives weight to an otherwise floating track.

For this second opus, Chat Noir Rec continues its momentum and offers a various composed of 4 tracks all different and complementary.

The Ep opens on the track " Prendre l'Air " by Vitess. We find the signature of the young producer with a neat and precise production, all enhanced by a millimetric breakbeat and an airy atmosphere, backed by an acid lead.

The second track is priduced by Pépé Elle who offers here a one-way ticket to England with his UKG infused "Carbon Dance" track We find all the markers of the style, from syncopated rhythmics to powerful wobble bass. Perfect to turn a club upside down on any circumstance.

The Italians from MDC open the B side with the track Bouncing. The atmosphere gets darker and sweatier. We find grimmy vocals, a heady and efficient acid bassline.

The Ep closes on the track The Resistance by Wilt. We continue to evolve in darker atmospheres with a tension that is created throughout the track without ever failing, all supported by a powerful breakbeat that will leave no one intact.

Stephan Bazbaz heads to LOCUS to deliver his Voyage EP, backed by a remix Casey Spillman.

An artist at the heart of Tel Aviv’s blossoming house and techno scene, Stephan Bazbaz continues to showcase his skills as one of the city’s leading lights within electronic music. With releases and remixes via the likes of Djebali, hedZup and INFUSE in 2020 alone, he now closes out a fruitful twelve months with an impressive label debut via FUSE imprint LOCUS to deliver three fresh cuts in the form of his ‘Voyage EP’ – whilst INFUSE regular and LOCUS alumni Casey Spillman makes a swift return to step up on remix duties.

A low-slung and moody effort from the off, opening cut ‘300’ combines swinging percussion and icy hats whilst escalating synths and rumbling sub-bass take hold and transport the production firmly into the peak hours – unsurprisingly featuring as a stand-out track within Enzo’s sets over the past 12 months. Next up, ‘Key To Success’ offers up a groove-heavy roller, with tracky drums guiding off-kilter samples and rich piano flourishes throughout, whilst Casey Spillman’s interpretation ups the energy levels as he works punchy kicks, warping synths and menacing low-end tones to turn in a bustling remix. To close, ‘The Life’ showcases yet another side of Bazbaz’s vast production skills, opting for hazy synths and dreamy chords to round out proceedings in impressive fashion.

Our brand new series Systematic Soundscapes is for fans of club music made with highgrade and original synth sounds and without many times used vocal or sound sound samples. All tracks come along with fresh and unheard vibes.

For the first volume which was compiled by Marc Romboy, Sascha Braemer celebrates his label debut with the moving - Butterflies', followed by high energy rhythms by Spirit Catcher from Belgium who have already produced many tracks on the label.

Roy Rosenfeld contributes - Distorted reality', which is in the best tradition of his music released on KX and Systematic, straight, powerful and touching. And also Thyladomid has his debut with - Devil´s dance', musical stuff as we know it from the label.

Two of the UK’s most established talents team up on Crosstown Rebels this June, as Darius Syrossian and Bushwacka collaborate on the two-track Return To Jericho. The release marks their maiden studio collaboration and acts as Darius’ first appearance on the label.

The title track leads the way, opening with ethereal synth rolls and resonant kick-hat combos. Saharan-like vocals marry up next to a pacey, 4x4 bassline whilst atmospheric pulses march on in the background. Akkabi Blue takes on a more-stripped back feel, as minimal percussion cascades into a breakbeat-inspired breakdown to form a late-night dancefloor cut.

Darius Syrossian has been at the forefront of UK electronic music for more than a decade. A prolific producer, the Moxy Muzik head has released several standout EPs on the label, including Fuego and Harlem Nights to name a few. He has also welcomed several industry-heavyweights to the imprint in recent times, including East End Dubs, Seb Zito and many more besides.

Bushwacka has remained a firm fixture in the global dance scene since first cutting his teeth in the acid era of the late eighties. Regularly reinventing himself, his production catalogue boasts releases on Ultra, CTR and Get Physical as well as a host of other industry-defining labels, whilst his legendary residency at London nightclub The End has given the British-mainstay a lifelong legacy.

The sixth cut of the label is composed by four original tracks fueled by dark, noisy, foggy, groovy, distorted jazzy and funky vibes, accurately named as the “Sleeze Funk EP”, no other title could do the job better.
So, here’s an invitation to transcend the mundane and expand your thoughts deep into the raw sound of the British maestro, Aubrey.

Prodigal son of the ESP Institute, Juan Ramos, rises from the cesspool of a world gone mad with 'Agua Del Cenote', his fifth release with the label. Whilst many artists are following their inner light to bring us some much needed joy amidst these rotten times, Juan (being the little shit that he is) follows an inner demon and delivers listeners and dancers a demented clusterfuck of sadistic chaos. The title track opens with what sounds like a butane torch and we metaphorically freebase into oblivion. Our perception of reality unravels, writhing in abrasive textures smeared across a low-slung, mid-tempo erotic thump. Everything feels blurry and distant, as if we’re swimming through an underground aquatic tunnel, in a panic, searching for an invisible band of spirits whose tune summons us into certain annihilation. Following this is a remix from a decorated lord of 20th Century electronics, Harald Grosskopf AKA The Synthesist. Harald wipes away grit and lethargy to reveal elements hidden deep within the mix as well as softens Juan’s sense of terror by building up to an optimistic layer of added synth. We’d love to offer some relief with the balance of the EP, however, the remaining two tracks paint complimentary hues in the same cerebral palette. 'Let It Go (Freaks Only)' veers closely to House in terms of tempo and gestalt, utilizing a vocal sample from Third Generation (Kerri Chandler) and a healthy dose of sub bass, but Juan hardly apologizes for his masochistic tendencies and certainly never relents into an uplifting mood. Closing the EP, Juan serves an antidote of sorts with 'Cuko', as if suggesting a way out of the swamp, but leaves it up to the listener’s intuition to not only see the carrot, but actually follow it into the light, thus completing the quest.

Baked with hypnotic beats from Vern, Macarie,Techu and D S. brought the heat for this coming summer!

Red Vinyl

Already a well-established presence on the outlandish fringes of experimental, alternative and dance music, celebrated Israeli duo Red Axes make a surprise left-turn onto Phantasy with a three-track 12', 'Sipoor'. Unsurprisingly, the results are as pleasingly out-there as the occasion requires.

Following on from last year's self-released LP, 'The Beach Goths', 'Sipoor' immediately announces the Axes' uncompromising return to the front and centre of the dancefloor with the raw, provocative 'Bad Time Story'. Brazen, brash acid triggers this particular tale, as Red Axes briskly modulate their way through a ruff, tuff but never less than musical landscape of 303s and 808s.

'Sipoor' takes a more gradual approach to building offbeat rave tension, featuring an unknown male using his native tongue to request some kind of house, some kind of techno and some sort of release. His wish (and we hope, yours) is the Axes' command, as the music goes deep before seamlessly unfolds around a throbbing bassline and a playful, familiar keyboard sample, beckoning feet to the dancefloor and perhaps tongues ever so slightly to cheeks.

Concluding the 12', 'Teroof' takes each of Red Axes' signature ingredients - deeply rhythmic EBM-inspired drums, spiralling electronics, unapologetically odd vocal distortions - and reconstructs them amid what sounds like the Monaco Grand Prix, as high-velocity motors speed past the soundscape, kicking up some serious dust. Red Axes 'Sipoor' drops on Phantasy Sound in 22nd June 2018.

UC Beatz delivers his 'Nightzoom' EP via B2 Recordings this December, comprised of four originals from the Belgian artist. Brussels-based producer, DJ and label owner of Entrepôt Records, UC Beatz has carved out quite the reputation over the past decade and a half, dropping material on reputed imprints such as New York's Razor N Tape, Cinthie's Collective Cuts, Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon's The Classic Music Company amongst others. Here he joins the B2 Recordings roster with his latest collection of works and title-cut 'Nightzoom' leads, laying down organic drums, hypnotic chants and circling synth strings to create a subtly blooming, loop-led groove. 'Saraska' follows and strips things back to choppy acid bass, swinging 707 drums, vocal shots and an amalgamation of airy resonant keys. Opening the flip-side is 'The Girl Who Loved Flowers', employing classic deep house tropes with fluttery Rhodes chords, tension building strings, snaking bass and crunchy drums throughout. Lastly 'Stars Keep Shining' then rounds out the release, leaning towards a more jazzy house aesthetic courtesy of intricately nuanced key melodies, warm subs, shuffled drums and winding Moog like synth licks.

Butterbandz returns with another absolute BANGER of an EP ‘King Heroin’. This is his second EP on the 7 Days Entertainment imprint and he is serving up some DOPE tracks. From start to finish you’ll be sure to find a groove you’ll enjoy. ‘Prometheus’ starts off the EP with an energetic techno track. It’s got a punchy synth over a sub bass with dreamy synth chords and some rockin’ drum programming. The second track ‘Get Down’ is simple yet effective. It’s got that Detroit feel that we all love and enjoy. Not really structured, kind of just flowing. The drums are knocking and the hi- hats are keeping up that energy. It’s a got a rough rugged bass paired with a synth that carries feelings of deep rage and clarity. Tying it all together is the vocal sample. For the title track ‘King Heroin’ Butterbandz teams with his older brother Generation Next to create this gem. It’s got some deep emotion but it will make you move nonetheless. Excellent high energy drum programming, distance reverbed synth pad, catchy piano pattern, in your face lead synth, and a off putting sub bass. These two artists make a dynamic duo. Lastly is ‘OD Soundtrack’ tying together a hard hitting EP with a little laid back tune to take you to a higher more peaceful place. The synth pad carries that smooth calm sound and then the kick is in your face out the gate. It’s got some airy flutes and grooving lead synth. This EP is going to be a staple in the growing legend of Butterbandz.

Post Bar is a club. Post Sonics is a label. After months of scouring the corners of our homes, we had to do something to keep ourselves from the brink. With the dance floor on pause, it has been difficult at times to remember the joy. However, across these four tracks emkay with a little help from Sansibar remind us why we like to get jiggy with it. A side kicks off with an electro-tinged phone call from your Mom (which you will want to answer), while the second track delves straight into freaky Goa Pop. On the flip side emkay welcomes us to a party at her house made of candy and a rush of lovely childhood memories come flooding back. As we hit the wee hours Sansibar takes over the hosting duties, slipping a little magic into our drinks, and we have forgotten why we were sad in the first place. Now we’re fucking doing it.

For the second release of the ERROR100 Series, Robbenspierre is firing his Fighting Loneliness EP, which on one hand masterfully re-creates the essence of a dance-floor and on the other hand includes experimental and stellar sounds. A meaningful dialog between both is presented throughout all 4 tracks.

Over two years in the making, ‚We Were Riding High' is a lucid after-hours track with an uplifting and catchy vocal hook that unfolds and develops fluidly. The alternative edit utilises dark synths and drums, retaining the positivity that make this track perfect for the last summer month. This record is the result of Eric Volta making the demo at an after-party at his studio. He then showed this to Timo Mass who in turn showed it to Basti Grub who loved the track so much, they were inspired to develop it.

Two time Grammy nominated Timo Maas has an extensive musical background, spanning over thirty years. He's worked with some of the world's biggest stars including Madonna, Depeche Mode and Fatboy Slim. Basti Grub heads
up his own label, Höhenregler, and is known for his exotic, African-influenced productions. He's released on some premium labels including Cocoon, Get Physical, Desolate and Cr2. Born in London but very well traveled, Eric Volta shot into the spotlight with Love Your Illusion and since releases on Dirtybird, Visionquest, Four:Twenty Recordings among others.

Continuing an already bustling 2020, that has seen him release on Relief Records and Glasgow Underground, Italian-talent Adapter makes an exciting debut on Hot Creations this November with Skate Dancer. The two-track EP includes a special remix from contemporary house heavyweight, Patrick Topping.

We’re graced with that feel-good eighties touch from the offset, as groovy female vocals shimmer amidst a pumping, 4x4 bassline on Skate Dancer. Sampling Doug Willis’ seminal 2000 track of the same name, the disco-inspired cut strikes the perfect balance between age-old funk rhythm and modern house swing, before Patrick Topping’s remix takes on a darker, techno-leaning tone with hard-hitting kick-hat combos and punchy, no-nonsense percussion.

Naples-based Adapter has experienced a meteoric rise in a career that has spanned multiple years. Releases on some of the genre’s most well-loved labels, including Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records and Green Velvet’s Relief have cemented his status as one of the scene’s true heavy hitters. Label-head of Trick and a mainstay in modern electronic music, Patrick Topping’s accolades speak for themselves. It’s banger o’clock at Jannowitz Records headquarters. We need it, and you probably do, too! With a global pandemic still sabotaging almost all night life around the world, we want to move the focus away from depressing thoughts and hopelessness and onto the dance floor. For this very specific task, we found exactly the right producer. Corrado Cardone aka Konrad was born and raised in Italy. While his music has been outstanding for many years, only recently he has drawn more attention to his alias - with releases on Octopus Records and Intec. Now it’s time for him to make waves on Jannowitz Records. We gave him the freedom to go crazy and provided him with four of the most exciting remixers we could find.

The result is “Urano EP”. An EP with two super intense original tracks. “Urano” is an absolute heavy hitter - almost trance leaning but 100% uncompromising. It’s the perfect mix of hypnotic peak time techno and otherworldly melodies that spiral on top of the consistent four to the floor. A quite similar approach was taken on “Prospective”. The execution, though, differs quite a bit. “Prospective” is more delicate. The focus shifts from hypnotic elements and percussions towards squeaky synth lines that hit the contemporary ideal that is typical for Jannowitz Records. As for the remixes, we tried to make things as interesting as possible. We paired techno heavyweight Citizen Kain with KIKO, the French producer who remixed “Abyss Towards Hope” by Pontias and Abstraal not too long ago on JAW and surprised us with his superb skills. Their remix of “Prospective” is exactly what you would expect. It’s KIKO’s melodic expertise and Citizen Kain’s progressive beats. 
 A perfect addition to this EP. Our second remix duo, or better said: trio, are Teenage Mutants and Jannowitz regular Heerhorst. If you’ve been following the label over the last months you definitely know the latter (if not: check him out, now!). And the former you will know from one their countless shows all around the world. Their remix of “Urano” is another proper techno banger that will leave many jaws on the (virtual) dance floors dropped. The heavy beats and the spacey synths seem to scream: no mercy! Quite the motto for this whole EP. So techno fans beware: this one is for you! And last but not least is the fact that the super dope Artwork was made by the Tattoo legend Mirco Campioni ! #keepthegroovealive

The EP spans across the full spectrum of Techno, with the cuts varying from soft melodic textures, floaty synth work and a B1 that wouldn't stand at all out of place in a peak-time club setting - a nice surprise from this exciting new not-for-profit label...

AVA. Records celebrates its 10th anniversary with 52 artists. “10 Yahre” is a 4LP compilation housing 22 tracks, a printed 30 pages magazin and a mixed CD. All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Alessandro Crimi returns to Etui Records with his Wandering EP. The release includes 2 original tracks by the Swiss artist and 2 remixes by Federsen and Insect O.

The EP starts with the title track Wandering. Beautiful layered pad sounds and spacious percussion giving you the feeling of wandering around in a meadow. With some punchy drums San Francisco dub techno master Federsen turned the track into a dub heavy groover.

The flip side starts with the mystic sounds of Jericho. Be prepared for some bass heavy vibes layered underneath deeply processed synth chords. For his remix Insect O. spiced up the synths with some effects and laid it on a forward pushing groove.

Two deep and driving house tunes by BAAZ!
Since the release of his last SOL 12inch - Swimmer' (SOL5) quite a bit has happened: Baaz founded his own successful label Office Recordings, he has also created a new moniker for his Dub techno productions as "Eric Miller".
His love of dubby sounds and echo chambers can be experienced in - The Reason' and - Ancestor´s Fun', although it´s obvious that Baaz also stays true to his Deep House roots. He skillfully combines spacial structures with his characteristic driving beats and organic sounds.

"The Reason" is a grooving light footed tune with a jumping bassline and develops, step by step, this driving energy, that will not let you go. "Ancestor´s Fun" brings up the energy level with stronger beats and open high hats, but the playful warm sounds and drifting strings keeps the wonderful flow that we love to hear from Baaz´s productions.

Longstanding Spanish talent Dennis Cruz achieves a career milestone this October with the release of his debut album, Roots. The ten-track LP draws inspiration from Cruz’s life experiences, resulting in a body of work that encapsulates the sounds and musical styles that have led him to where he is today.

The journey begins with La Ratonera, a Spanish-themed cut that sets the tone with a warm underlying groove and P. Rivas’ enchanting vocal hooks. Los Tamales soon arrives, released as a July single ahead of the album, before Good Old Days completes proceedings on the A Side. A collaboration with minimal-maestro Ian Ludvig, the result is a stripped-back dancefloor number that feels ripe for the late night hours.

Ecua takes charge on the B Side, upping the tempo with resonant kick-hat combos and plenty of flamenco-inspired swing. What U Doing comes next, as Leo Wood’s harmonic vocal tones perfectly complement Cruz’s hard-edged, groove-led bassline, opening neatly into Bend. The three-minute piece showcases the Spaniard’s love of jazz and salsa throughout.

We’re treated to another piece of teamwork on Go Down, with iconic Jamaican singer Lee Scratch Perry featuring on top of a low-slung, rhythmic backbone, paving the way for Ahora Todo Va (Dub). Josh Butler’s influence can be felt right from the get go, as four-four drum patterns converge on spicy, latin-fuelled lyrical samples.

Te Quiero Cantar acts as the penultimate track, bringing us more funky, house-driven flavours before Back Again brings things to an ebullient close. The final collaborative offering with Iuliano Mambo takes us on a journey through punchy percussion and swinging synth build ups, rounding off an eclectic body of work that looks set to light up dancefloors across the world this year.

Roots showcases the many facets of Dennis Cruz’s production capabilities. The album embodies the life experiences that have defined his career; the moments of progression and elation, from fresh-faced up-and-comer to established musical presence. At the heart of the LP lies an inherent Spanish theme - a nod to the country and culture that Dennis calls home. It’s playful, joyful and built to make people dance, three traits personify this talented producer today.

Romanian talent Suolo presents May Be for Lokomotiv s first official release.Cosmic frequencies induce an intergalactic trip as May Be transports us into space, while Complete Paranoia aims for those special fast-paced moments on the dancefloor after-hours.Romanian duo SIT (Cristi Cons & Vlad Caia) add colour to the stripped down beauty of May Be with their interplanetary interpretation, featuring Suolo s signature dreamy soundscapes and bouncy rhythms. The remix is driven by a deep-toned bassline while more otherworldly elements web together an out of body experience that we know you will enjoy. The release has received early support from Raresh, Barac, Dubtil, Arapu and Cezar to name a few, mesmerising dancefloors and generating a wave of hype in Romania and around the world.

Number three in Prins Thomas Rett if Fletta excursion welcomes our good friends from Full Pupp Trulz&Robin with Change, a 10 minute deep techno buildup piece in a somewhat classic, almost trentemolleresque, soundscape + tradition. Minimalistic but huge in a motoric wall of sound style long not heard. Large! Dunjon sets the counterpoint on B, bassdridden, sparse, bubbling sturdy grooving techno Is Dub comes back to the richer atmosphere of Change for another hallcinating deep and dubby piece. Rewind to 1994, something brand new is stirring in the studio of the Housey Doingz crew, a fresh stripped down, swinging sort of funk emanating from the monitors. This would be their very first record as a unit and they definitely didn't know what sort of impact it would have in the coming decades. A record like this would certainly have sounded alien back then, but boy you can guarantee it caught people's ears! Kicking off with that infamous vocal sample 'Brothers' is a bonafide roller of the highest order, punctuated by dubbed out pianos too - devastating! 'Brothers Bump' is almost the 2nd part of the first cut, while they share some of the characteristics, it's it's own little world of acidic funk, try it - you might like it... 'Poet' welcomes us to the B-side, those cymbals just pull you in, almost jazz style, this one's a breaky minimal peaking number, killer. 'Magical' is the EP closer, and it's another total trippy weapon akin to the output of Holy Ghost Inc and similar outfits with it's building wall of acid and clipped vox. The whole record is so varied and brilliant it had noted journalist, producer and DJ Dave Mothersole proclaim "the first tech house record is arguably this". A truly rare record that every home should have, now on the streets again. Wicked.

Romanian Native BOg makes welcomed return to Watergate Records, joining forces with LKF
Project for new EP ‚Her Song‘.
With a string of releases on some of electronic music’s most compelling labels including Crosstown
Rebels, Bedrock and Diynamic, BOg has steadily forged his reputation as one to watch. Following his
input to the ‚Watergate 25 – Adana Twins‘ compilation with ‚Tribelune‘, BOg returns to Watergate
Records, this time teaming up with exciting new vocal-led outfit LKF Project who have already made
waves with a release on Agoria’s Sapiens imprint.
‚Her Song‘ is driven by the sombre, ambient vocals of the LKF Project, underpinned by its undulating
bassline. It ebbs and flows, gradually culminating to deliver a satisfying dancefloor moment. The dynamic
Dub version of ‚Her Song‘ sees the track’s energy intensified, propelled forward by it’s intricate layers and
breakbeats. The EP concludes with ‚Discrete Class‘, both rolling and introspective, it perfectly fuses the
groove of house with the asceticism of techno, a sound that BOg’s signature style lends him to.

Das Belfaster Duo Bicep veröffentlicht sein heiß ersehntes zweites Album, „Isles“, auf Ninja Tune!

Zwei Jahre in Arbeit, erweitert „Isles“ die kunstvolle Energie des 2017 erschienenen selbstbetitelten Debütalbums von BICEP und vertieft gleichzeitig die Klänge, Erfahrungen und Emotionen, die ihr Leben und ihre Arbeit beeinflusst haben. Sie beschreiben „Isles“ als „eine Momentaufnahme“ ihrer Arbeit in dieser Zeit, wobei die Stücke so konzipiert sind, dass sie sich in ihren verschiedenen Durchläufen von der Aufnahme bis zur Live-Show und darüber hinaus entwickeln.

Cromby debuts on Radio Slave’s Rekids with ‘Twisted Future’ EP, showcasing his talent for tweaked out techno.

Following standout appearances on Feel My Bicep, Unknown To The Unknown, and E-MISSIONS, Irish-born DJ/producer Cromby hits Rekids with a four-track EP of crisp techno cuts. Heavily utilising the sound of hardware across the release, ‘Twisted Future EP’ sees Cromby explore the depths of these classic sound palettes over robust techno frameworks.

‘IXP-42’ brings crunching drums and wiggling synths together for over two minutes, building tension before eventually, the much-awaited bassline comes in thick and fast. ‘Follow The Bass’ brings a dose of the unusual to proceedings, with snaking FM leads modulating throughout a maze of sizzling percussion.

On the flip, Bleep meets Baltimore on ‘Relief’, with meaty acid lines, vocals and clattering drums sparring with each other across the track, while ‘Vortex’ rounds off the release, with bright shimmering stabs peppering the stomping drums and distinct squelch of the 303.

The brothers OdD return to their self titled label after a two year hiatus with more of that refined, off-centre minimalism they do so well. "Obelisk" is an epic scraping the 12 minute mark with a tapestry of intricate beat design and spacious atmospherics - one to take the dancefloor to some intriguing places deep into the morning. Darüber baut sich in - Chameleon langsam ein zartes, sanftes Synthie-Klanggerüst auf, das immer wieder wie eine wunderschö-

Öona Dahl delivers her debut EP on Watergate, continuing her fruitful partnership with Dance Spirit along the way.
Last year’s memorable WhoMadeWho compilation saw Öona Dahl drop her first musical contribution on Watergate, collaborating with Dance Spirit for ‘Break The Stillness’, one of the highlights of the mix. The New York producer, DJ and sound designer, has cultivated a curious and evocative sound going back almost a decade, releasing quality cuts on Anjuandeep, Hallucienda (home to her 2017 album ‘Hollograma’) and All Day I Dream, where she has become a regular at Lee Burridge’s iconic party series.
‘Godtripper’ is a transcendental trip through psychedelic house tones, elevated by Dahl’s own breathy vocal and subtle swells of acid and a smooth melody line. Patrice Böäumel adds a delicious re-work built around a superb bass melody that builds to a crescendo, as layer-upon-layer reveals itself throughout. Dahl links with Dance Spirit for ‘Manic Space’, led by a delicate layer of tribal drums and a meandering melody line,
crafted for sundown moments. ‘Universe Within You’ is one for the after hours, wrapped in a minimal shell it unfurls gradually into a glowing late morning house gem, resplendent in golden synths and groovy drums.
