RAWAX welcomes Thomas barnett to the family! It was more than about time to invite this great artists to our label. We are very happy to present you a great treasure from the past back on vinyl. It's the "Foundation Series Volume One". Originally released in 1997 on Visillusion Records, Detroit.

Time for the next instalment of our wax releases, DJ W!LD brings his Trans Europe Express to Roushlabel and it will be only the third release to feature a vinyl option as well as digital. The EP comes with three original tracks and remix from none other than Hanfry Martinez.

‘Half Way’ opens the release with an unexpected hint of rainy-day, coffee shop Jazz. The creative underbelly of the track is a culmination of long strings, emotive keys, Vinyl crackle and a cleverly cut vocal sample from an interview with Mobb Deep. Beyond that, the track exhibits pumping drum patterns, a subtle yet groovy sub and progressive layers of percussion as the record advances. A unique and truly special piece of music.

‘Trans Europe Express’ has a driven, locomotive feel to it. Rattling hats, punchy kick drums and a bright bassline team up with hints of acid and yet more creative, analogue sampling within the breaks. Another massively exclusive creation from DJ W!LD, showcasing his ability to put the ‘art’ back into ‘artist’.

Next up, ‘Peecome’ brings an 80’s-inspired vibe. The sentimental sounds of Roland’s original TR-808 and reminiscent sampling are laced with a powerful 4x4 beat in places and deconstructed for more of a swung rhythm in others. Carrying on the trend of the undeniably talented thought process when it comes to the arrangement and offering something truly different, capable of really turning some heads and pleasing the purists.

Lastly, Hanfry Martinez’s remix of ‘Trans Europe Express’ takes a deep dive into the rapidly growing realm of underground deep/minimal house. Dreamy pads pierce through a rough and ready combo of thudding kicks, arpeggiated synth lines, vocal cuts and of course a gritty,
attitude-laden sub bass factor. A solid roller with plenty of individual personality!

Long awaited reissue of the highly sought after debut EP from Future Sound of Melbourne (FSOM), now released by Madrid-based label Glossy Mistakes under the dancefloor oriented series Glossyfloor.

Originally released in 1992, this EP delivers a collection a rave infused bangers with hints of Breakbeat, Chicago House and riding Techno. The all-time favorite “Barefoot in Sidney” gets revisited by Kornél Kovács with a more straight-forward and euphoric approach. Along with the two peak hour blenders, B side comes with an effervescent and powerful remix of “Raving Mad” by the Spanish duo part of Ears on Earth, BF Treatment. Must!

Remastered by Damian Schwartz and comes as a very limited edition.

FUSE revisit Rich NxT’s debut album as they welcome Skream, Seb Zito, Guti and Rossi to remix Natural and Other Side from the highly acclaimed album.

FUSE look set to build on Rich NxT’s much-lauded album in notable fashion as they welcome electronic heavyweight Skream as he steps out on FUSE for the very first time,whilst welcoming the long-awaited return of long-standing FUSE family member Seb Zito who returns to the imprint for the first time since late-2019. A wonky, off-kilter, and warping affair, Skream’s take journeys down a twisting trail of elastic analogue rhythms, sweeping electronics and tripped out cuts of Shyam P’s vibrant vocal to take things firmly into after-hours territories, before Seb Zito’s slick interpretation harnesses an abundance of rich UK flavours as skipping garage-tinged drums meet hazy pads, resonant top lines and skittering melodies to close the show in style.

On the flipside the London imprint welcomes two close friends in Argentinian favourite Guti and rising-UK talent Rossi. to offer up fresh interpretations of NxT track ‘Other Side’ featuring Shyam P. Up first, the always excellent Guti offers up his slick and classy remix, welcoming a signature blend of rolling organic percussion beneath snaking top lines, groove-fuelled bass licks and Shyam P’s infectious and hazy vocals, whilst Rossi.’s no-nonsense remix sees the UK hotshot draw for rumbling sub-bass, icy hats and sharp drum licks throughout his driving take on the production.

Zosh! is no debut but its the first track since ages. Gunjah releases
a maturred record with his longterm experience from countless hours
behind the decks. With a lot of precision and clean arrangement this
is nothing besides the rest..its Techno on the point. The Remix is coming from a man who - like Gunjah - breathes electronic music since years: Daniel Stefanik. (Cocoon, Mobilee, Freude Am Tanzen, Moon Harbour).

After Jimmy Batt setting the bar very high with his “Retrospection” LP, OPIA Records invite two modern day innovators of dance floor energy to create their eleventh release. Taking up a side each on the record we have Rakya’s Idris Bena, and Slowlife affiliate, Paolo Mosca - a combination you never realised you needed.

Bena kicks things off with his elastic grooves and futuristic melodies in “Miss K”, constantly evolving, a certain signature of his sought after sound in recent times. “Blood Moon” is another playful journey that leads you towards “Home”, a pacey and animated encounter.

On the flip, Italian maestro, Paolo Mosca makes his mark with his precise and well executed productions. From a DJs point of view “Different Places” is a statement track, to catch the party in the moment, beautifully arranged with deep strings and a vibrant organ line. “Orion Trance” steers the ship in a different direction, melding together rubbery acid bass and euphoric synths.

Two producers in their element, sitting strong on the evergreen OPIA imprint this summer.

As one of our very first and currently longest serving EWax residents this release for Just_Me has been a long time coming! presenting his signature energetic approach to the third offering on our White Series.

He brings his A game over two full power, groove induced cuts and we are happy to say Swedish maestro Per Hammar joins us for the first time with an exceptionally crafted remix on the B side.

Madmotormiquel is next up to join the Bunte Kuh family, this time offering up a tantalising pair of original works alongside two remixes from Christopher Schwarzwalder and Iorie. The title track for the EP is up first as ‚Someone To Take Me Home‘, easing you into a rich, rolling groove partnered alongside delicate, reverb soaked piano parts. Closing the a-side is Christopher Schwarzwalder, who ups the energy from the original work with punchier percussion and techy melodic movements.
‚Sleepwalker‘ is carried by a marching rhythm and simplistic bass line, easing off the gas only to welcome trippy, dreamlike synth lines that take the experience to another level. Iorie then strips things back with dark growling bass lines and vocal snippets, rounding off the collection in a vast sunset of colour.

Terry Francis' name is synonymous with London's mid 90's to early noughties underground Tech-House heyday. A longtime underground DJ and tastemaker who has graced the booth in every major club you'd care to mention, Francis was also a prodigious producer and label owner who found himself working alongside the infamous SWAG mob and heading up the now seminal labels 'Wiggle' and 'Eye 4 Sound' labels. With a fervent international DJ schedule and numerous productions appearing all over the place, a residency at Fabric, major label remixes piling up and everything else in-between, Francis' name has been solidified as a bonafide UK legend, a force to be reckoned with. Let's rewind to 1999, Surreal Records, a subsidiary of SWAG, 'Took From Me' drops and is an instant classic.... even now, a decade later, it's a record that peels the roof off a night-club (in the right hands, of course!) It's all here inside 'Took From Me', the sparse, chopped up drum programming, ominous floor-shaking basslines and weirdly warped vocal samples that make you wonder. With 3 releases under their belt Council Work return with the 4th installment on the label, the 'Crouching Tiger EP'. Sticking with the formula of the last EP, there are 2 originals from the label owners themselves Frankel & Harper, coming in the form of stripped back UKG number 'Crouching Tiger' as the A1, and then bringing heavyweight moodiness on the A2 with 'Conquering Lion'. First up on remix duties on the B1 is Italian producer, DJ and Music On regular LEON with a dubby, rolling take on the title track. Hotly tipped UKG producer ZeroFG steps up to remix the B2 and brings some serious dub reggae vibes mixed with some rude garage flavours to round off the EP and give a great contrast to the original.

Snad continues to break new ground in his mad prolificacy. The stunning sonic precision of Akufen collides with the funky rhythmic sensibility of Titonton from the very first tune here. The blue chords on First Flake float over a bumpity house groove; The Extract and Flaw inject breaks into the flow. Completely of this moment, yet with an unmistakable timelessness, Snad's distinctive balancing act is a remarkable success.

Aesthetic goes from strength to strength and keeps the momentum going with this big ep from TIJN.

"Discoteca" feat. Sofie might raise some eyebrows for various reasons. First of all, it is the tone shaped announcement of a new Keinemusik album. That's right, &ME, Rampa and Adam Port joined forces once again after 2017's "You Are Safe" to lay down a sophomore cycle that surely couldn't be more thrillingly introduced as through this very tune right here.
"Discoteca" is a flowing and densely arranged dancefloor meditation, reminiscing of those post-peak moments, when time fades into insignificance and consciousness somewhat subordinates to rhythm. The track perfectly captures that feeling, beautifully graced by the lush vocals of Sofie, transmitting an unbroken declaration of love to the Discoteca in just a whisper. Sofie is the ever busy, multi-faceted, California born, Vienna residing artists with a second album on Stones Throw in the making and various ongoing proficiencies on her schedule, bridging fine arts, classical music and pop culture.

Let’s go out! A suggestion that might sound like an absurdity in current times, but feels like the true promise of Bella Boo’s debut EP on Running Back. The Studio Barnhus affiliate refines and elevates her bright, genial and dissenting take on deep house into something greater than its parts.
What was supposed to be an album with features and collaborations was turned into an introspective solo-practice by Covid-19 and subsequently into this rich 8-track-EP. A writer’s block and the pitfalls of the aforementioned deep house genre were overcome with the help of Axel Boman’s knowledge of football philosophy and a 140bpm tempo advice. So, everything fell in its right place.
„Let’s Go Out“ is like the gateway into a wonderful coherent musical universe and an entertaining listening experience. Imaginative and sparkling, tender-hearted as well as bouncing when it needs to be. Bella’s EP is as much of a tribute to the UK scene that inspired her over the years as it’s entirely her own and distinctive thing. Like a perfect mixtape, it ebbs and flows, and once you reached its finish, it makes you want to start again – or to go out.


Short version: Bella Boo’s bright and genial debut EP on Running Back. Eight tender-hearted, imaginative and bouncing tracks that are as much of a tribute to the UK Scene that inspired her over the years, as they are the gateway into a wonderful coherent musical universe that is Bella’s own entirely.

Tim Digby-Bell, Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock are Cubicolor. In 2016 they released their debut album ‘Brainsugar’ via acclaimed independent label Anjunadeep. Accumulating over 40 million streams, the album won praise from Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Consequence of Sound and DJ Mag, who described it as “a startlingly accomplished debut” in their 9/10 review.

Originally an electronic duo comprised of Dutch producers Ariaan and Peter, Cubicolor became a three-piece band with the arrival of British singer-songwriter Tim in 2015, after collaborating on breakthrough single ‘Falling’.

A published poet and playwright, Tim’s musical upbringing was rooted in playing guitar and listening to Nick Drake. Combined with Ariaan’s encyclopedic knowledge of electronic music and Peter’s love of late romantic classical, created what Clash described as “a beautiful, haunting fusion of ideas.” In 2018 the band delivered, and then shelved, their second album…

“It had twelve tracks, a different name, all the artwork was done and a date was set for it to be released. We got home and listened to it, then called each other and decided to drop the whole thing. The next week we went back into the studio and started again.

We loved the record we made but for some reason, it didn't feel right, so we didn't keep anything, we shut ourselves on the boat in Amsterdam where we work and didn't stop until we'd written a new album.” A year after going back to the drawing board, the trio now presents ‘Hardly A Day, Hardly A Night’.

Inspired by the cycles of time, and the cyclical movements of the planets, the new 12 track record weaves together themes of loss, hope, and acceptance. “There were a lot of moments when we weren't sure we'd ever find what it was we were looking for. On the way, we lost friends, lost loves, battled health issues, lost an album, lost each other and came back together again.

It feels like a lifetime has passed but the world keeps spinning and I guess we knew we would eventually find our strength and make the album we wanted to make.” Showcasing their remarkable production techniques and textured sound design throughout the album, Cubicolor continues their unconventional rise to the upper ranks of the electronic music world.

The band will celebrate the album release with a listening event in London in February 2020, before taking their live show to festivals around the world in the summer.

Their 2016 debut album ‘Brainsugar’ picked up wide spread support including backing from BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Phil Taggart, BBC 6 Music's Nemone and Tom Ravenscroft, Joris Voorn, and Kölsch and accumulated over 40M streams. 'Brainsugar' - Press pickup included Mixmag, RA, Thump, Consequence of Sound and the album was given a 9/10 review in DJ Mag.

Cubicolor are Amsterdam based producers Ariaan Olieroock and Peter Kriek, and British singer-songwriter Tim Digby-Bell. They made the album on Peter’s studio boat in Amsterdam. Ariaan built the custom modular synths, mixing desks and speakers that the band use in their studio - every Cubicolor sound is created from scratch.
They also DJ and release music as 16BL on Anjunadeep. one of the labels most loved and legendary acts, responsible for some of the biggest releases in the label's back catalogue.

Born on Chicago's southside 1970, Robert has an expansive Musical career that started at the age of 14 with Djing and remixing from the age of 18. In his cellar Robert started organising parties that became very popular in his neigbourhood. Some of the diehard visitors of Robert besement parties were inspired by him and became also DJs, amongst them was DJ Rush others became Rapstars like R Kelly. Robert was going to become a police officer up untill he spun abroad in Italy and realized his true passion. It was actually in Italy where his female fans named him Armani because of his designer clothes he loved to wear. Robert's Influences include Armando, Mike Dunn and Frankie Knuckles. He sees his music sticking with old styles and doing whatever comes to mind'. Producing with labels including Dance Mania, Pushpac, AVC, BML, High Octane and many more Armani has captured the ears of fans and promotors all over the world . He has played many international parties givig people his hard Techno fell. You name the place Armani has played there from Chicago to Japan.

In 2017, Markus Homm and his romanian partner in crime Mihai Popoviciu, successfully launched our Still Hot label with their "Insomnis EP". Followed by his solo releases "Don't Know Why" and "Pleasure", we are now looking forward to the Still Hot 20, which features two great original tracks, as well as a superb Mihai Popoviciu remix.

The title track "Once again" is reminiscent of the hit "Insomnis". A playful arpeggio gives the track a nice vibe, paired with dub sounds, vocal shreds and a groovy house bassline a la Homm.

Mihai's remix is close to the original, but gives the track a more aggressive touch.

Conclave is by definition a gathering, a coming together.

Conclave, linguistically, is an amalgamation: con (with) + clave (a unifying rhythm that holds the key to unlock dances both ancestral and contemporary).

Conclave is a live musical gathering of rotating musicians headed by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Cesar Toribio, in which alchemy is evident in the ebb and flow of its compositions, and seductive juxtapositions of the delicate and powerful are inextricably woven around the living, breathing rhythm.

A joyous realization of these intersecting iterations, Conclave’s self-titled debut album channels influences and inspirations across generations and genres, beckoning friends, neighbors and onlookers with the irresistible pull of a New York City block party. Buoyed by the lead single “Perdón” – a haunting and exuberant dance floor invocation that sold out of its initial 12-inch vinyl pressing within days – Conclave’s 11-song suite evokes the spirit of such revered freewheeling progenitors of the studied yet soulful as Theo Parrish, Osunlade, Elements of Life and Nuyorican Soul. The latter two are especially apropos reference points given Masters At Work’s own Louie Vega’s enthusiasm for and involvement in the project; in collaboration with fellow house legend Josh Milan, Louie contributed three sterling remixes to the “Perdón” 12-inch. Additionally, Conclave has garnered spins and support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Ron Trent, Natasha Diggs, Rich Medina, and Kim Lightfoot, amongst others. It is the first full-length album release on Love Injection Records, independent label affiliate of the beloved long-running NYC zine of the same name.

Raised in Tampa, Florida, with familial roots in the Dominican Republic, Cesar Toribio spent his adolescence playing drums in church, laying a spiritual and musical foundation that would carry him through a myriad of invaluable life chapters: formal jazz studies at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music; an epiphanous summer working in Ibiza that sparked his interest in the sounds of Parrish and Osunlade; and countless gigs as a working musician and DJ in NYC over the past near-decade. Each experience has helped shape the concept of Conclave. Yet at its root is a life-long appreciation of Cesar’s Afro-Latin heritage, and that heritage’s inherent modern musical universality.

Explains Cesar of this lineage: “Clave are percussion instruments – two wooden sticks used in Afro-Caribbean music – and it’s also the key rhythm in a musical piece that lets you know where everything is sitting, so it’s super profound and ancient and deep. There are many different types of claves: rumba clave, son clave, bembe clave. But the clave is not only in Latin music, it’s also super prevalent in jazz because the same Congolese slaves that were imported from Africa to the new world, in Congo Square in New Orleans and in D.R., were playing these same rhythms.

“If you listen to New Orleans second line music, “When the Saints Go Marching In” – that’s based on the clave. James Brown has the clave in his music. Even up to music that’s coming out today – the way Migos use triplets. Once you understand it, you start to see it everywhere. Sometimes it’s intentional and sometimes it’s not. But I like to think of it as the ancestors still speaking, coming through you.”

It’s this recognition, both historically and autobiographically, of the continuum of everlasting rhythm and spirit that permeates Conclave. Borne out of loose improvisations, songs like “Habla” build from Cesar’s deceptively simple sung refrains and coalesce into full-fledged compositions imbued with layers of Rhodes, organ and percussion. Crescendo-ing with similarly rich tracks crafted more directly for the dance floor (“There’s Enough,” “Rise,” “Perdón,” the Yoruban chant-infused “Alati Yeye Chege”), the album also offers inspired surprises. Its latest single, a clever rework of Little Dragon’s contemplative “Twice,” masquerades as a musical deviation but in actuality fortifies the commonality its boom-clap beat shares with the broader spectrum of dance music.

“That’s that swing, that irregularity that’s the most interesting thing to me to explore,” Cesar reiterates. “That touches everyone, or at least has the potential to.” As does Conclave’s celebration of community, heritage, and life.

Am 10.04.20 veröffentlicht Floating Points zwei neue Versionen des Album-Highlights „Bias“, einem Titel, der sowohl für seinen „Sinn für Luft, als ob man den Raum, in dem er aufgenommen wurde, spüren könnte.“ (DJ Mag) als auch für "einen Drop, der so krass ist, dass er deinen Puls aus dem Gleichgewicht bringen könnte.“ (Mixmag) gelobt wurde. Düve is a very mysterious project, probably due to the intense (albeit exotic) eastern folk instrumentation that populate their sonic structures. René Audiard & Ali Çakir have been exploring a bit of it all from crunchy techno grooves to emotionally charged slow drives, and
together they managed to create a very peculiar sonic balance that captivates from the moment it passes our ears.

Düve's Hargate' is a four-part voyage through the intricate musical roots, complex poli-rhythms and warm musicality of the eastern mediterranean lands. 'Esti' (A1) starts the EP in pure instrumental glory. Played by Adam Birson, the melody from the Oud is loud,
ethereal and emotionally charged, topped with sparkles of modulated synth patterns and pulsing noises for full meditative effect. The EP's title track 'Hargate' (A2) is soaked in a sort of nostalgia for sun-bathed Turkish soils, but under it there's a ever-moving train of
remarkable rhythmic endulgence and a very human sense of groove. A tour-de-force in balance between musicality and arrangement that stays with you like fata morgana.
The flip-side goes deeper and darker in ambience. While 'Yek Tas' (B1) feels like a 4-by-4 hichhicker's guide through underground Istanbul and built around the tension and release
of drum-echoes and reverberized pads, 'Sehayat' (B2) brings back the sound (and emotion)
of Ali's darbuka/santur and Soren's complex drum arrangements for a slow, dreamy drive.
This EP was visually interpreted by Juli Jah in a hand-made artistic depiction of Istanbul,
extraordinarily fitting to this installment of an ever strengthening series of releases Pluie/Noir

forward-thinking musical freedom. Masters of a infinite number of stripped down, funk
infused brands of electronic music, the japanese crews of music makers are usually teams
of noble perfectionists.
Consistently shining a bright guiding light on the japanese scene, Radiq (aka Yoshihiro
Hanno) remains one of Japans best exports and the reflection of what it means to be a true
musician while managing his own japan-talent-only imprint Op.Disc with wit and will.
Rhapsody' adds to the chameleon's release catalog a 4-tracker of deep musicality, expansive
4x4 examinations and textured realms that ebb and flow between dance-focused sonatas and the
kaleidoscopic intimate travels, and ultimately begging a listen all the way through. The title
track 'Rhapsody' (A) is Yoshihiro's signature exploration of humanized rhyrhms, crisp claps
and deep low-ends that ebb and flow with a very peculiar organic steadiness. Circulatory
Breathes' (B) uses micro-house patterns as starting point to build something more intricate
where robotic movements remain constantly intertwined with amoebic perc-samples, vocal
snippets, groove swings and jazzy synths. Clocking at 14 minutes, the dreamy and deeply
absorbing Antigone' (C) is the EP's longest work, and a true hypnotic anthem that works
like a musical vortex. Radiq's artistic indulgence culminates with Sad Strings' (D), the
EP's jazziest exploration around heavy drum programming and dramatic mood shifts.
The double EP was visually interpreted by Max Binski in a heavily textured acrylic painting,
giving this release the visual perk Pluie/Noir collectors grew accustomed to. Limited Pressings.

"MDQ is named after the airport code of Mar Del Plata in Argentina," says Guy. "I played there with John Digweed earlier this year at MUTE. It's a party on the beach and, for me, was the best I've been to in my life and not just as a DJ." MDQ beautifully recreates and projects the warmth of the sun, uplifting vibes and postive energy that Guy felt on the sand that day. Its melodic charm and passionate delivery lifts the listener, transporting them to that most southern of shores.
Diagonal, on the flip, was born more out of necessity. "I needed something with a transitional feel for my sets. A track that would allow me to segue to the next part, up the tempo and deliver a more groovy and seductive magic." Housey Doingz was a sort of pre-millennial super crew of London producers and DJ's (Dave Coker, Dave Pine, Justin Bailey, Laurant Webb, Nathan Coles, Terry Francis), movers and shakers on the capital's tech-house scene. The latter half of the decade into the first half of the noughties belonged to the exciting future looking and stripped down sounds that were emanating from now cult labels like Wiggle, Swag, Surreal etc. The Housey Doingz crew were at the centre of this scene and sound, but 'Doing It' from 1997 and released on the Pagan label predates and showcases a plethora of sonic styles that later became synonymous with that scene. Borderline 'Progressive' numbers like this corking EP are real beauties and found themselves in the boxes of the top jocks of that world and more (see: Sasha, John Digweed & co). A beautifully diverse collection of cuts right here, and a very rare and sought after slab of wax among record collecting circles. For a real flavour of what was to come 'Doing It' is a dope look through the window of one of London's most exciting electronic music scenes.

Born and based out of Paris, Corentin Chantrell, aka Occibel, is a young DJ and producer with previous

releases on Chat Noir Rec, Unanime Records and INSOUND, which illustrates his flair for producing

vibrant, groove-based house tracks laced with enticing minimalism. Occibel's 'Vernal Station' EP sees him

join the London-based crew Tessellate joining the likes of Kylin Tyce, Firmin, Armless Kid, T. Jacques, and

label bosses The Trip as they continue to evolve their superbly curated discography.

'Ghosts On The Rocks' begins with glistening synths fused emphatically with the skippy percussion and

scintillating bass grooves before 'Vernal Station' offers up breakbeat-driven drums that meet luminous,

zappy melodies and dreamy, trance-inducing twinkles with adventurous yet playful tendencies.

On the flip, T. Jacques, who runs Nuances De Nuit, returns to Tessellate with a remix of 'Ghost On The

Rocks'. Aquatic bleeps, tunnelling pads and tripped-out fx provide the essence of this intricate, hypnotic

house cut. Holding Hands and Phone Traxx artist Harry Wills then rounds off this classy EP with a floaty

interpretation of 'Vernal Station' featuring wavering leads, spacey bleeps and breezy sonics that provide

both warmth yet elation.

In the early hours of one morning in 1996, Asad Rizvi (aka Silverlining) and Wiggle's Nathan Coles found themselves marooned on the planet Wrong. They had crossed paths at many of the infamous raves that shaped London's underground house sound, and opted to take controls at the cockpit of a Brixton studio that, in a single night, yielded 'System Error'. The two Right Wrongans were hence born.

Their first release, 'Not Quite Right EP', rocked dance-floors from San Francisco to Tokyo in a short space of time. 'System Error' was further celebrated on Danny Tenaglia's legendary 'Athens' CD. Interest has again been sparked by numerous DJs such as Petre Inspirescu and Ricardo Villalobos playing the track at gigs around Europe during the Summer of 2018. Yet, prices have inflated way beyond accessibility to mortal buyers, and hence this reissue has been chosen to inaugurate a brand new imprinted called Neotropiq. The single has been backed by the devastatingly groovy 'Straight Ahead Then Take the Next Wrong'. Order with haste, as this one is going to go!

Having released the highly acclaimed ​Rivers/Tokyo ASMR on Crosstown Rebels last year, Berlin’s Emanuel Satie returns to the label this March with the powerful ​Personal Liberation EP, ​showcasing the deep and emotive characteristics that Emanuel brings to his accomplished productions.

Tribal-esque percussion leads the way in title track ​Personal Liberation,​ progressing with haunting synths, dramatic keys and a hypnotising vocal. A track that subtly builds throughout, ​Keys to Jupiter ​is a moody yet blissful cut of electronic excellence, enhanced with divine piano keys. Following a stellar breakthrough year in 2016 with several big releases, Emanuel Satie has been on the rise ever since. Due to their stunning releases on Underground Quality and Laid the Smallpeople aka Julius Steinhoff and Dionne are back with a real smasher.

Taylor Freels has built quite a strong catalog over the years. His work under his Urulu moniker, is widely regarded as top quality deep house and 'The Banshee EP' continues in this fashion. The title track has a dreamlike atmosphere to it. 'The Banshee' is a work that will strike a chord with lovers of the ocean-influenced sounds and hazy atmospheres. A strong presence of strings and dubby sounds, create a certain laidback mood that is perfect for sun drenched days in the park. Chicagoan producer "Garrett David" builds on the hazy atmospheres of the original, while adding some melodic elements to his remix of 'The Banshee' where he cleverly shifts between scales and different moods.

'Quadrant Beat' is a warm track that is built around warm chords and fashionable drum sounds. Again, Urulu makes sure to weave some outgoing dub elements into this b-side opening track. 'Romance Track' is most likely one of the Berlin based producer's most melodic works to date. Beautifully executed piano hits flow together seemingly easy over a sturdy rhythm that serves as the track's backbone. "The Banshee EP" is a work of lush deep house and an excellent addition to both Urulu's repertoire and the SAFT label catalog.

A finely crafted slice of robotic acid funk entices you into the wilds and waves of moody 303 action as machines collide with precision accuracy. Bringing you back to a calmer vision and seas of tranquilty, Rekab aka James Baker’s “Summer Dreams” demonstrates just how blissful ambience and slowing the pace in these testing times can soothe the soul. Leading Side B, fans of Chi-town grooves will not be disappointed with Garrett David’s “Cruisin Through”. A Smart Bar resident and Gramaphone Records employee, he’s no stranger to sumptuous jackin’ edged house jams packed full of bouncing beats. Blending an irresistible rump funking groove to synth-led melodics that build and build, the total sum of these parts will not fail to get you out of your seat. Signing off in style, Moody Waters takes us into hypnotic house territory as low slung beatdown vibes meet mysterious atmospheres and vocal fx, emerging from the haze of that 5am smog that all too often glazes your inner mind.

After a successful first release, we are very pleased to present the next one by an icon & legend of house music. The years go by and Brian Cavender aka Seafoam does not stop impressing us with his music, these 4 tracks are accurately what we seek to capture on each release, music with that style that made us fall in love in the late '90s and early new century. The impressive thing here is that without mentioning which of these 4 tracks were made in the '90s. When we asked Brian for music and told him about our ideology he understood us perfectly and sent us a folder named "Old cuts", music made from roughly around 1995 to 2000. When we listened to the tracks we recognized that this was music created in the past but still sounds super fresh, another timeless gem for the ufo series catalog.

TOTAL turns 21 this year, and Kompakt’s venerable compilation series couldn’t have asked for a more auspicious coming-of-age collection. If TOTAL 20 was consolidation against the odds, the Kompakt crew producing for a dreamt-of dancefloor in an uncertain future, then TOTAL 21 feels abuzz and alive with possibilities. Significantly, it’s the first TOTAL in some time that’s streamlined down to a single disc; this makes TOTAL 21 even punchier than usual, a joyous, reflective, and always thrilling 75-minute audio scan of the world according to Kompakt.

As with every instalment of TOTAL, there’s a deft balancing here of Kompakt regulars and new blood. Of the latter, there’s a first appearance by KOLLMORGEN, remixed by PATRICE BÄUMEL into an astral torch song; Amsterdam’s NICKY ELISABETH, offering up ROMAN FLÜGEL’s pulsating, arpeggiated remix of “Celeste”; and CAPTAIN MUSTACHE swoops down into view, PLAY PAUL in tow, with the dream-like electro lift-off that is “Everything”. JONATHAN KASPAR also drops by with a new track, “Von Draussen”, a stealthy and lethal floor-hugger with prowling bass.

Elsewhere, there’s the lead track to MICHAEL MAYER’s astonishing recent EP, “Brainwave Technology”, which not-so-gently spears the tech-futurist babble of AI, transhumanism and posthumanism, soundtracked by one of Mayer’s typically lush, glimmering soundscapes. JOHN TEJADA reaches back to the heyday of glitch and dub techno with the gorgeous “Spectral Progressions”, while the brothers VOIGT & VOIGT, on “Nicht Mein Job”, seem reinvigorated by the interwoven patterns and funky minimalism of the Profan days. Not to be outdone, JÜRGEN PAAPE kicks TOTAL 21 with “La Guittara Romantica”, a chiming and lilting lullaby for woozy late-night reflection.

Throughout, it feels as though Kompakt are taking a moment to both breathe in the dust of the past and look forward to a bright future. Perhaps that’s why, on “Fasson”, SASCHA FUNKE seems so confident, with pinprick melodies bouncing around a hall of audio mirrors, or why THE BIONAUT returns with “Blue Sky Motor Lodge”, a song so moistly melancholy, so enduringly lovely, it’ll make you weep tears of joy. ROBAG WRUHME gets a little delirious on the ticking, twisting “No”, and then GUI BORATTO mops everything up with the bubbling, bumping glam-stomp “Wake Up”.

Boston's Dana Kelley aka Callisto is a man whose music has long been the subject of much deserved adulation. A student of the deep and soulful, an explorer of the melodic and galactic, and an artist who manages to capture imaginations with his supremely crafted sonics. He is a much missed artist, someone who departed the physical too early, but the body of work he left behind has spoken to generations of listeners, DJ's and fans in equal measure.

This, the second instalment of 3 compilations focused on Callisto's golden period of productions for the legendary Chicago label Guidance Recordings, sees even more of Dana's most highly coveted work featured side by side, chock full of rarities and classics.

Infuse welcomes back Croatian talent Mariano Mateljan to the imprint to close out June, backed by a remix from FUSE resident Seb Zito.

Founder of the vinyl only imprint u.dig, releasing material to date from himself and the likes of Alexis Cabrera and Ben Balance & Fabe aka Ho Do Ri, and with recent releases on Moss Co. and Vekton, Croatian DJ and producer Mariano Mateljan has grown to become one of the scenes most promising rising talents, reflected with key bookings from fabric (London) to Club der Visionaere (Berlin) and beyond. Having released on Infuse back in 2013 with his track ‘Pigeon Boxer’ featuring on the label’s third ever V/A release, plus appearances for both FUSE and Infuse at events in London, here we see an impressive return from Mateljan as he delivers his first EP on the label entitled ‘Tabebula’, whilst FUSE resident and Infuse A&R Seb Zito turns in a classy remix of the title track.

Title cut ‘Tabebula’ opens the EP as slick percussion shots go to work amongst a deep, snaking bass groove, whilst second original ‘Rose Amongst Thorns’ opens the B-side in equally as impressive fashion, opting for a more paired back effort that combines floating airy chords, slinking drums and refined melodies. Last up, Seb Zito’s interpretation of the lead track sees the London favourite opt for a driving acid-tinged bassline, crisp claps and skipping hats throughout to round out proceedings.
